Culichi Town - Bell

Went on a late Saturday night. Fun place. Good food. An experience of its own. Be prepared to not really be able to have a conversation with the loud Band playing live in the main room blasting your ears off. A unique experience nonetheless. Food prices are very fair although I felt the drink prices were a bit high. Would go back.

I like that they have a variety of dishes to choose from: sushi, fresh/baked rolls, seafood, meat and poultry options. Their drinks are really good. However, the customer service can improve. At the time I went, the restaurant was not even full, and it took about 20-25 minutes for a server to come by and attend us. After our meals and drinks were served they didn’t come by at all to check in on us to see if we wanted to order something else… we had to call them at the end to get our tab. I really didn’t like the lack of good customer service, asides our server being mal encarada.

Food and service was good but when we got our bill it was extremely hard to read what we were being charged for. We asked our waitress if we can get a better printout and she said that’s the best printout she can give us. Well I had her read back to me what we ordered because I’m not going to pay whatever amount she tells me without me knowing for sure what we ordered. Come out that she put a drink we didn’t order. Be careful with the bill. If u can’t read it make sure ur waitress reads what u order.

Loud atmosphere. Not the place where you can relax and enjoy some traditional asian yummy food. Their twist to sushi is okay but the traditional is better. The rolls cost more here than a traditional sushi spot. The food took longer to get to my table. It was 2 rolls for a party of 2. Another party of like 8 came after us and got their food served first. Also, there is a camera dude that takes pictures and then tries to sell it to you. If you want to chill chill then I do not recommend this place. It is worth checking it out though. You may have a better experience or it might be your fit.

First of all they have a valet parking idk why if there’s plenty of parking. They should just charge for parking it’s nonsense! 8 dlls parking… Then we waited for a table like 10min but not because it was full; no one attended us their service is awful! After that we ordered a molcajete and tuna sashimi and it was a 6/10 and expensive 100dlls for that not worth it… music is loud so if you want to talk this is not the place for you… In overall I won’t ever go back I do not recommend this place in general.

I was looking at reviews and was iffy but we went to try it. Foods was great and we were happy with the drinks. We are definitely going back soon. They had kids meals aswell for my nephew he enjoyed the guacamole too.

It was mu first time in this place and the dishes were amazing. Delicious 😋 and the staff were very kind I really suggest this place. They have happy hour and the food is Sinaloa style. Definitely I will come back.

I have been a customer for many years but don't come as often as before due to some changes in the menu and removal of old options that are no longer available. Today we tried the mojarra/fried fish , Altata tostada and a Mar y Tierra sushi roll along with some soda. Our server was great! She was somewhat overwhelmed because she was helping several tables and was the only one. We went there at 12noon as soon as they opened the restaurant. Food was good. When we asked for the check, we were shocked to see that it as almost $85 for two people and we didn't even have alcoholic drinks! We ordered two sodas, which come in small drinking cups. With the soda and ice, 3 sips and you'll need a refill. We asked for refills twice and to our SURPRISE, the soda refills were $5 each plus a 2% "convenience fee". I was not aware that we would be charged for each refill. I wish their cups weren't as small and we wouldn't need as many refills. This experience will definitely make me think twice next time I'm craving CulichiTown food.

The food was ok but not for the price. A "chia lemonade" that was sugar water $7.50. Asked for glass of water was charged $4.50 for a bottle water with the owners label on it. $18.00 for 1 tostada with mainly mango and a 1/4 of actual tuna. We ordered the fried fish and you would expect it to come with tortillas...Nope!!! Charged the $4 tortillas without even letting us know. Kids meal with frozen chicken nuggets and old fries $11.50each. $20 for a modelo michelada with a piece of hard bacon. Ooooo and a $5.00 convinience fee!!! Will not be returning!!! Proceed at your own risk. Owner is just greedy at this point!! Cant even pay his workers that is what the convinience fee is for!!

Horrible Service!! The waiter didn't even acknowledged our table and didn't even bring our appetizer until I had to ask the hostess for my food! Don't recommend going!!

You wake up on Saturday morning craving a good marisco, good environment and great service? Then culichi town is where you have to go. Norma Valencia gave us the best service, food was bomb. On my way to the restroom I had to stop at the kitchen to thank the team because food was delicious.

Place is nice, presentation of the dishes are pretty good too. The food isn't too great, missing some flavor. Definitely over hyped.

Overrated I would always hear great things about this spot how it's so great and food is amazing so I had to try it for myself. I came here for my anniversary and the vibe here is Fucken amazing the music was great had people singing it was definitely a good show. The only downfall is that you cant have a conversation with someone I was literally yelling to my girl across the table trying to find out what she wanted to eat. Another thing is they charged us for water to me that was passing the line lol. Water should be automatic at every restaurant. The food was very overpriced and the flavor wasn't great I was very upset with my experience definitely a good spot if you going for the music and the drinks not the overpriced food they have.

Customer is ok food is ok also. But restrooms are dirty as fuck!!!! No one cleans the restrooms we told them twice and no one seem to care.

Food is great tasting and fresh. Love their sushi rolls and tacos. Recommend going on weekends for the banda, it's very loud. So if you don't like Loud music, or have small children don't dine in.

Food was disgusting and super expensive. If i could give no stars i would. Not to mention They also took like an hour to get delivered.

The menu WAS ONLY IN SPANISH. The staff ONLY SPOKE SPANISH. After seeing the confusion on our face the waiter attempt to speak English/Spanglish. The drinks were we got them (nonalcoholic) The green Agua Chiles was super good! The way they packaged up their To go shells etc was nice. I recommend it, but definitely expect to google translate the menu if you don't speak Spanish.

Do not come here, be ware they will add things to your receipt. I ordered an horchata and she brought me a coco horchata. I didn't mind so I didn't complain but it was all a plan to add a $3 charge for coconut shavings. We ordered the duck with shots and we waited almost 1 hour for it to come to our table, on a Wednesday while it was not full. The waitress was so sarcastic after we complained of the extra charges. Asking us if we wanted anything else and smiling very evil. . Also be aware they will add a convenience fee to use your credit/debit card the place over all is okay because of the "live music. This place is not worth it instead go to la conde, kalaveras , or mama por dios.

The service sucks the greeter had a bad attitude and the waitress sucks. We waited for the 1 hours for them to come back so we can order more drinks but they never came so we just asked for the check. Very disappointed

This was our first time trying out Culichi town. We will definitely be back. Karina was our server. She was great amazing. Make sure everything was right and always came back to make sure we were OK and if we needed anything else food was absolutely delicious definitely recommended and the music was great. Atmosphere was perfect.

It is disappointing to go to this restaurant and they do not respect the menu prices for example on the table they had a $10 special for the fish on Mondays. No where does it say when it's a holiday they don't respect that promotion. They charge you whatever they want. I asked to speak to the manager she never showed up, in that aspect very bad. I recommend that you check your accounts very carefully because they say that there prices are variable to say an exaggeration. And to top it off charge for parking. I will never go back!

Food is such a hit or miss here. Culichi food and drinks are not what they used to be. Sad because ambiance is still cool especially with live music. There a serve with red hair and she's amazing, very attentive and accommodating. Tonight the food did not hit whatsoever. The shrimp was so squishy and the roll wasn't tasteful either, all I could taste was the hot Cheeto crumbs.

You can come here for cool instagram worthy drinks that's for sure! Vibe check (thumps up if you like Banda) Culichi town has ELEVATED their game. I stopped coming here years ago because of the inconsistency of the food, however my recent experiences have not disappointed. The food is delicious. As far as ambience, it's pretty cool to have your drink made table side (that's right the server brings a cool/professional cart and makes your drink right by your table). The sushi is great and so is the camarones Zarandeados appetizer (I always order these). I am giving 3 stars because the service is still really inconsistent. There are days when the service is extremely slow and the servers are pretty rude/ inattentive. The dishes and drinks are pretty costly for THAT kind of service.

Was really excited to try this place... Looked good on Open Table, but our experience was nothing to write home about. The service was just okay. Could hardly hear the waitress over the incredibly loud music. I could not even have a conversation with my girlfriend over the music as it was deafening. We both ordered tacos and every one of them was disappointing. The steak taco and fried fish taco were both extremely bland and flavorless. They tried to compensate the lack of flavor with extra pico de gallo, but it did not help. We ordered chips and guac and that was the best part of the meal. The guac we put on the tacos was the best part of the tacos... Shrimp taco was the best out of the three tacos we tried, but still had only 3 pieces of shrimp and tons of pico de gallo. They charged us $3 for each water we had, no option for free water.. kinda crazy. Honestly the only reason I would recommend this place is maybe if you're getting drinks before going for a night out. Otherwise, not the place to eat, definitely not for a date if you're trying to have any conversations!

Buen lugar para salir de la rutina. Toda la.comida tiene buena porción y muy rica en sabor. Y la banda en vivo es lo mejor. La mesera que me atendió fue gabby muy buena muchacha, amable y atenta.

Always love the sushi here but honestly they downgraded. I went to get some yesterday again and they literally gave me an almost empty box with 6 pieces of sushi. Was very disappointed. Spend 71 dollars on 2 orders of sushi and one drink very expensive and was ok. Not impressive they decorated with bunch of idk what is it and honest review the flavor was mah. I really don't think will be ordering here no more. A shame I love culichi for its sushi before not any more.

To start off, I want to state that I've gone through some extremely bad scenarios in different establishments throughout the years but this is the FIRST time I've taken the time and energy out of my day to express my dissatisfaction and anger . My family and I made reservations for culichi town in bell for Sunday 02/19/23 at 5pm. We arrived at the location (with reservations) and they had us standing literally in the middle of the restaurant while they had 1 waiter (Remind you, our party consists of over 15 people) help seat us . I was carrying my 1 year old waiting for a high chair. Well 30 minutes of me standing in the middle of the restaurant went by and the chair never arrived. I asked a few different staff members for help , finally someone came out from behind the bar to say they didn't have an extra high chair. I carried on with the evening as we were celebrating a birthday . Finally after an hr the waiter came by and asked for our drink order . While carrying my 1 year old all I wanted was some sparkling water so that's what I ordered. While this was happening , a family who was using a high chair left the establishment so the waiter brought over the chair without cleaning it. I placed my daughter in the chair just to find out the chair didn't have any security straps or belts!!!! My daughter was extremely close to falling off this chair. We ordered 4 kid meals that came with nuggets, fries ,apple slices and a drink. Well the nuggets were rock hard and so were the fries. The apples for all 4 meals were ROTTEN!!!!!!!! I asked the waiter to swap them out and he brought out another 4 packs of guesss what? Same rotten apples . We ordered blended drinks, they brought out the wrong items after an hr wait. The establishment uses very cheaply made paper straws that deluded into the drinks. While waiting for help I decided to just walk up the the bar and ask for extra straws . This is when I noticed 2 staff members refilling a bottle of clase azul tequila (premium liquor) with a non labeled tequila bottle . Bad went to worse .... Food came with no utensils. Beers with the cap still on etc . I approached the manager and told him about my daughter's apples all I wanted was a fresh pack. He looked at me with disbelief and called me a liar infront of his staff members . I paid the bill of over 1300 dollars . When I arrived at home we noticed the charged multiple items 3 times . Please stay away I will be contacting the better business bureau and weights and measures to investigate their alcohol scheme.

Drinks are big part of the menu , food was good is like Mexican- Japanese restaurant I ordered empanadas, sushi , pescado a la plancha and some seafood tostada , Service wasn't perfect they bought the sushi without soy sauce and wasabi and tostadas without the tostadas , really ?? We need to asked our serve which I believe he wasn't paying attention to our table , ambiance was fun with the group who was playing live music on Sunday ..!!!

I have mixed feelings about this spot. Came to celebrate a friend's birthday, and the ambience was amazing, as were the drinks, but given the venue location is small, the live banda feels like it's blaring in your ear no matter where you sit, making most conversations a shouting match. Definitely a good place to watch too. As for the food, don't skip out on the shrimp empanadas. Do however skip on the sushi, not worth it. The tostadas have generous portions and are packed with flavor.

This place is overrated with expensive food items and mediocre service. I would not recommend.

I would not recommend this restaurant and will never go there again. Sneaky tactics to "up your bill cost ". but service very very slow and once food arrived It was cold. The worst was the extremely loud - obnoxious live band walking around you. It was over 100° outdoors and we asked for water while we decide what to eat /order to drink, They will ask if the can bring you a bottle of water instead---not mentioning $5 cost added per 6 ounce bottle. Encouraged not to order a basic cocktail that was not on the menu instead paid $16-$18 for a terrible cocktail with little or no alcohol . If you know what you're in for I'm sure you'll enjoy!

This place is trying to make money by cheating their customers. Beware when you pay ask to see your bill before you input your card. They charged us for 2 extra waters we did not ask for nor drink! Also for extra aguacate when we did not ask for extra the plate already came with it. The waitress Jessica casually brought two waters and place them on our table when nobody asked her for it. And we asked them as well does the avocado come with a plate because we did not ask for it? They assured us it "came with the coctel" I went to tell the lady at the front they over charged us for water bottles and she said you opened them so we have to charge" I said NO! we did not drink them we did not open them. we did not ask for it." We asked for a Jamaica and got charged for "Chabela" what is this?? We asked for 2 fish tacos. Jessica said" the order comes with 3" Why did This Jessica lie to us?? maybe she gets comission per table? I don't know! Please ask to view the receipt first before you pay. I see other comments that mention how they ripped them off as well. I will wait and see the transaction goes back in my card if not I will have to come back and follow up with them! What a headache! Never coming back here again.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! 1. Our waitress JESSICA Z was very angry when I asked if they were currently having happy hour she said "I don't know the system shows margaritas for $10" (How could you not know? How long have you been working here?) 2. I asked for 2 fish tacos when she read the order back she said 3 fish tacos so I corrected her and said I only want 2, she said the plate comes with 3 (what plate? literally the receipt shows I was charged for 3 individual tacos at $5 each btw the fish was VERY DRY!) 3. My friend asked for ONE water JESSICA Z brought 3 water bottles we only opened the one we had asked for, when we got the receipt we were being charged for 3 water bottles $3 each (you might as well get a lemonade or tea for $5) 4. They brought us a plate of avocado so we asked what is this? the guy that brought it out said it came with our order (but ofcourse we were charged $3.99 for it) VERY RUDE WAITRESS! BAD SERVICE! THEY OVER CHARGED! NEVER COMING BACK!

Id come here only for the Banda & drinks that's it. Our servers were nice & friendly both times I've came here, the only thing I dislike about this restaurant is how everything is overpriced. Asked for a water cup and they give you a water bottle instead & that's a charge!!!? the food isn't really worth it either for the amount it costs. I ordered the roca roll sushi rolls small portions for $18 lol def save ur money but would recommend if you wanna just come for Banda and drinks.

If you order tacos here the sauces are $4 each customers shouldn't have to pay for sauce if your ordering tacos

Extremely loud, I was so surprised how loud it is when the band starts the music. But seems like all customers are enjoying the live music, so we try to enjoy it too. I ordered a cocktail(forgot the name..) and it was great, smoke was coming out of the drink. Very fun. And tasty:) And I had some ceviche, it was okay. I would love to come back for drink for sure, but it's just really really Loud place for me.

Came here for drinks and music , music wasn't what I was expecting they said there was live music!!!!!music never played. Waiter was rushing us to take our order. Ordered sushi, never brought condiments and no napkins . Took forever to receive our food also. Waiters/waitress were doing so much talking to there own employees meanwhile our food was cold! ‍

Imagine paying over 40 for a ribeye medium rare just for them to overcook it. I can't justify it, I'm especially not going to complain and wait another 15-25 minutes for another one. Felt like I got someone else's order versus mine. Even my potatoes tasted a bit old. Sushi was great though and their appetizers. Service was good as well.

Culichi town is good but not same anymore went a 2 years ago and it was all different as to now last night i decided to go eat there again and everyting was not good I get there at 8:00 pm to eat the the waitresses tell me it an hour wait which is cool we waited turned into 2 hours didn't get a table for 3 until 10:00 almost then the waitresss guy we had was all out , they sat us down and didn't come take our order until almost 20 minutes of sitting down another wait then they bring our order and he was bringing the wrong drinks , then they bring out food and leave it with no utensils or napkins until like 10 minutes he realizes we don't have nothing to eat plate with come on pathetic then you give us one single napkin for the table and to top it off the food was expensive for the little as plate of food we got they have gave us the smallest rice and bean plate looking like it was for my son never again going again there it was my second time going and my i remember for a fact my first time there was not like that the only good thing I enjoyed was music but everything else from waitresses to the service was not good they kept forgetting To come to my table or would come and bring me the wrong thing never again

We went to eat eat but it was too noisy and we ask the hostess that we want to order to take out, but she ignored and treated us like animal.

Place is a bit pricey but food is good, had me some shrimp empanadas and hot Cheetos roll Yumz!

I don't know in what order to start but, the music is way to much. You can't talk to your party that you have to text each other to communicate. Service was bad as they kept lagging to come take our order. Do not or water as they bring you a small plastic bottle of water that cost $2. They are practically charging you for a case at that point. The food felt bland. We ordered Costa Azul which was 6 shrimps wrapped in bacon with a small salad what looked like a spoon serving of rice and beans. I also mean a regular spoon and not the huge spoon you are supposed to serve for $25. Not worth it. So much other stuff but the restaurant is not the same anymore. It's a good place and not a club or bar club. Seriously I was screaming to get my friends attention. Fml.

This place is ridiculously expensive nothing on the menu is as priced every drink you order they upgrade to charge more the female manager don't remember her name was a real B***h waiter was good but had to go over the bill multiple times before we paid for what we actually ordered definitely never coming back

Very over rated and over priced. The food is not great like I could eat it but I would not pay for it again. Their rolls are about $26-$30 each and all I can taste is teriyaki sauce for that price you should get real sushi not rice imitation clam meat and teriyaki. The batterd shrimp tacos are tough and my taco just had 3 tiny shrimp and a boat load of the cole slaw and poco de gallo tortillas where soggy. Over all over rated place to be honest people just come to this place because they think it makes them cool. Would not mind paying the prices if the food was delicious but the food is very basic. I got it to go so I can't comment on the ambiance

Disappointment with this restaurant. I placed an order through uber eats. They accepted my order and after 40 minutes they canceled it. don't waste your money in this place

Wow! Haven't been here in years, this place has became a chain all they care about is money and opening new locations not quality they're giving. Their prices have sky rocket, $20 for a virgin (water down) Michelada with just mineral water No beer, bacon or shrimp they use on the regular ones. Just a rip off! To top it off they charge $5 for 2 bottled waters, shouldn't water be complimentary in a restaurant. PS: also still requiring mask although LA county mandate is over.

Unfortunately, culichi town changed so much, and not for the better. The food was not good. I got a tempura roll that is supposed to be fried and it wasn't. I also got a fresada and it was too sweet with noticeable artificial flavoring. My friends and I also got guacamole as an appetizer and the lady that was making it in a cart right in front of us handed it to us and it had a hair on the bowl. We told her about it and she only switched the bowl instead of making a new batch for us. She handed us the new bowl passive aggressively. We also wanted to switch from a table to a booth and asked one of the waiters wearing black if we could switch and he said yes. Once we switched, a waitress came over to us and said we needed to have reserved the booth to sit there and that it was already reserved. We wouldn't have had an issue with that if the other waiter would have let us know that we couldn't sit there, but he told us we could. A few minutes later, the lady making the guacamoles was telling us to go sit on a booth but we told her we couldn't. They should probably inform all of their employees about how seating arrangements work to prevent further confusion when customers ask them a question. I came here today to celebrate my birthday with friends. We were excited to have good mariscos while listening to live banda. Instead, it felt like a reggaetón club with sit-down dining. It does not have the chill mexican marisco restaurant vibe that it used to. I won't be going back.
