The New Atlanta Restaurant Openings You Should Know About

"This chain bills itself as the perfect spot for anyone who “loves damn good food and drinks” (we’re raising our hands aggressively). The new West Midtown location, which is the first in Georgia, serves up takes on American classics, including meatloaf, burgers, and fried chicken. Plus, Culinary Dropout has games, live music, and plenty of beer too. " - nina reeder, juli horsford

Breakfast and Brunch Restaurant Cultivate Food and Coffee Is Opening at the Battery Atlanta in Cobb County - Eater Atlanta

"Joining Postino Wine Cafe at the Brickworks is another Arizona chain called Culinary Dropout, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports. Culinary Dropout features a restaurant as well as live music on stage and games like ping pong and corn hole. Look for several TVs here tuned into sports and a street-level patio." - Beth McKibben

The food - Pretty decent although my fried chicken was a little oily. Other than that, most of the dishes we had were flavorful. The service - Our waiter was pretty attentive and quick with request. He made some recommendations that turned out to be great for the vibe we were going for. He was really accommodating, especially working a party of 8. The atmosphere was very cool. Bartender was off the chain in a great way. Even offered us a celebration champagne round for the birthday brunch.

This has been on my "restaurant to try" list for some time and I was not overly impressed. The food was flavorful and the cocktails were good but was not what I was expecting. The fried chicken was very crunchy and had some great flavor and was probably my favorite of the things we tried. The cocktails were spot on and did not disappoint. I asked for a George Dickel OF and was told the bottle they had was for a party. However, the waitress came back and said her manager changed his mind and they were able to make if for me, so that is a plus. The waitress did an outstanding job of doing what she could for us but the food took WAY too long to be delivered after we ordered it!

Great food & drinks but disappointing service! Culinary Dropout in Atlanta offers a fantastic culinary experience with standout dishes like the must-try pretzels and fondue, and delightful drinks such as the Paloma spritzer and Camp Fire Vibes. The rooftop dining area and well-stocked bars enhance the ambiance. The brunch menu is top notch as well. However, the service significantly detracts from the experience. It took 20 minutes to be acknowledged, another 15 just for waters, and just an overall lack of attentiveness. Despite the quality of the food and drinks, the slow service was a major downside. Worth a visit if you’re not pressed for time, but service improvements are needed.

Been wanting to check this place out. There is a parking lot on the side of the building and they validate. We had a reservation but it wasn't crowded on Sunday at 7:00 pm. We chose rooftop outdoor seating. There is a large TV out there. I had the turkey pastrami sandwich on pretzel roll with fries. It was a healthy portion of meat and delicious. My friend had the vegan stew thing. She said it was very edamame earthy flavor. Full of veggies but needed a protein like tofu perhaps. I also had a blueberry ale which was yummy. Prices were reasonable. Would return for sure.

Visited for the first time with my husband and sons for Mother's Day. Parked in paid lot behind the restaurant. However, they provided 2 hour complimentary parking. Made reservations and took a little while to be seated on the roof top which was very nice. Our waiter and waitress were very accommodating and attentive. Ok, so we ordered the pork belly nachos for an appetizer. We all found this dish to be lacking on the pork belly. It was pretty good topped with cheese, guacamole, sour cream and very little shredded pork belly. As for the main dishes, the shrimp fried rice was in a bowl and filling. Filled with Alot of shrimp. I enjoyed the strawberry and spinach salad topped with salmon. Super delicious. Included pine nuts, golden raisins, strawberry and iceberg lettuce. Very filling. The salmon was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. The wings were large and in charge and very tasty. The roasted salmon entree was kind of small but delicious. The fried chicken katsu w/ fries was tender and very flavorful. So all in all I would definitely recommend this place for outside eating for lunch or dinner. Ron, the manager checked on us a couple of times to make sure we were satisfied. Thank you to our waiter and waitress and the manager for an awesome Mother's Day dinner. We will be visiting again.

Our server Jhuron was great! It was our first time here and he took the time to thoroughly explain everything to us. Nice atmosphere, good food and excellent customer service will have us coming back real soon.

A round of applause for the dining experience at Culinary Dropout! It was truly amazing from the moment I walked in. Quick heads up: the host will validate your parking for 2 hours. The space exudes openness and airiness, complemented by a rustic charm enhanced by artwork, large mirrors, and an overall beautifully executed decor. There are two levels and a private room available for rental, perfect for hosting private events. The restroom was exceptionally clean, featuring three private stalls and excellent lighting for a perfect selfie! Now, for the moment of truth – the food is the real wow factor! We kicked things off with the salmon dip, and let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious! Continuing my culinary experience , I indulged in the chicken noodle soup, a perfect choice for the chilly day. As for my main entree, I opted for a classic favorite—the Fried Chicken, served with an assortment of breast, leg, and thigh. The chicken was impeccably seasoned, hot, and delightfully crispy. Might I add, the portion is more than enough. To quench my thirst, I tried the strawberry lemonade and garden mule, both refreshing! To balance out my meal, I tried the monkey bread which was also delicious. Overall, the customer service was outstanding, enhancing the overall dining experience!

Culinary Dropout was great! Our server was very helpful in providing recommendations, the drinks were delicious, and the food was very very good. I especially enjoyed the whipped feta and tahini dip, WOW! The restaurant has a nice porch/patio area too for those who want to sit outside. I would definitely recommend coming here.
