The New Atlanta Restaurant Openings You Should Know About

"This chain bills itself as the perfect spot for anyone who “loves damn good food and drinks” (we’re raising our hands aggressively). The new West Midtown location, which is the first in Georgia, serves up takes on American classics, including meatloaf, burgers, and fried chicken. Plus, Culinary Dropout has games, live music, and plenty of beer too. " - nina reeder, juli horsford

Breakfast and Brunch Restaurant Cultivate Food and Coffee Is Opening at the Battery Atlanta in Cobb County - Eater Atlanta

"Joining Postino Wine Cafe at the Brickworks is another Arizona chain called Culinary Dropout, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports. Culinary Dropout features a restaurant as well as live music on stage and games like ping pong and corn hole. Look for several TVs here tuned into sports and a street-level patio." - Beth McKibben

This has been on my "restaurant to try" list for some time and I was not overly impressed. The food was flavorful and the cocktails were good but was not what I was expecting. The fried chicken was very crunchy and had some great flavor and was probably my favorite of the things we tried. The cocktails were spot on and did not disappoint. I asked for a George Dickel OF and was told the bottle they had was for a party. However, the waitress came back and said her manager changed his mind and they were able to make if for me, so that is a plus. The waitress did an outstanding job of doing what she could for us but the food took WAY too long to be delivered after we ordered it!

We came in for a Sweet 16 Birthday dinner and our server was EVERYTHING!!!! Very attentive, patience, and no matter what we asked for, our server obliged. All of the food was seasoned to perfection. The Aoli sauce was a hit with the fried shrimp. And the fried Chicken was so juicy, very much worth the wait. The only negative would be the portion/size of the Fish in the Fish & Chip's meal. It was a little over cooked for the thickness of the filet. Parking is validated.

A round of applause for the dining experience at Culinary Dropout! It was truly amazing from the moment I walked in. Quick heads up: the host will validate your parking for 2 hours. The space exudes openness and airiness, complemented by a rustic charm enhanced by artwork, large mirrors, and an overall beautifully executed decor. There are two levels and a private room available for rental, perfect for hosting private events. The restroom was exceptionally clean, featuring three private stalls and excellent lighting for a perfect selfie! Now, for the moment of truth – the food is the real wow factor! We kicked things off with the salmon dip, and let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious! Continuing my culinary experience , I indulged in the chicken noodle soup, a perfect choice for the chilly day. As for my main entree, I opted for a classic favorite—the Fried Chicken, served with an assortment of breast, leg, and thigh. The chicken was impeccably seasoned, hot, and delightfully crispy. Might I add, the portion is more than enough. To quench my thirst, I tried the strawberry lemonade and garden mule, both refreshing! To balance out my meal, I tried the monkey bread which was also delicious. Overall, the customer service was outstanding, enhancing the overall dining experience!

The food was mostly good! We had a really great waiter, the customer service was excellent. Atmosphere is nice. The fried chicken was the best meal at the table. We also got brussels sprouts and bread for an appetizer (would recommend). The only negative was that the food took a while to come out. Other than that, would recommend to try at least once. Also, they will validate your parking so don’t pay before you go in! We didn’t try any alcohol, alcoholic beverages, but supposedly they’re good!

The food - Pretty decent although my fried chicken was a little oily. Other than that, most of the dishes we had were flavorful. The service - Our waiter was pretty attentive and quick with request. He made some recommendations that turned out to be great for the vibe we were going for. He was really accommodating, especially working a party of 8. The atmosphere was very cool. Bartender was off the chain in a great way. Even offered us a celebration champagne round for the birthday brunch.

The place is awesome. Great spot for a meet up. We met on a Sunday and watched the Falcons game on the patio. The wait staff is super friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food is good.

Great food & drinks but disappointing service! Culinary Dropout in Atlanta offers a fantastic culinary experience with standout dishes like the must-try pretzels and fondue, and delightful drinks such as the Paloma spritzer and Camp Fire Vibes. The rooftop dining area and well-stocked bars enhance the ambiance. The brunch menu is top notch as well. However, the service significantly detracts from the experience. It took 20 minutes to be acknowledged, another 15 just for waters, and just an overall lack of attentiveness. Despite the quality of the food and drinks, the slow service was a major downside. Worth a visit if you’re not pressed for time, but service improvements are needed.

One thing about it, this restaurant has beautiful, funky decor and definitely provides the vibes! I absolutely loved the roof top and the live music they had going. The rooftop bar was super nice and the fire place with the big screen TVs was definitely a nice touch. The food was enjoyable. I think they are fairly new so they have some kinks to work out. I personally felt the food could have been hotter in temperature/fresher. But it wasn't terrible. The customer service was great! My waitress Camia did an excellent job, shoutout to her. She was super knowledgeable of the menu, provided great recommendations and checked in often. Overall a great experience!
