"From the folks who brought us the Henry in Victory Park comes this spot in the Design District that beat every other restaurant group to the punch of capitalizing on the amazing views this area has. Unlikes Downtown or Deep Ellum, it’s not cluttered with buildings or street traffic — just a sweet view in all directions. Head here for American comfort food and good old fashioned beers." - Courtney E. Smith, Amy McCarthy

"Culinary Dropout, part of Fox Restaurant Concepts, is set to open on June 12, offering a unique rooftop dining experience in the Design District. The restaurant boasts an 'edgy' brand with staff dressing as if for a night out. The menu includes American cuisine with sushi rolls and crudo, and features affordable items like the Cheap House Salad, Detroit-style pizzas, and 36-hour pork ribs. The rooftop will have frozen drinks, a DJ booth, and a massive video wall. The venue also includes private dining and a bar with local decor." - Courtney E. Smith

Elegant decor with views of downtown skyline. Service was top notch. Nice cocktail list but the cocktails themselves were “okay”. Food was good but I would like them to expand their menu. Vegetarian choices were very few. The charred Brussels sprouts were great and had a kick. The chips were oily but the onion dip was quite good. The Asian salad was tangy and the mushroom pizza was too cheesy. Desert was phenomenal.

Food was definitely delicious! Great ambiance for a Sunday. There was a band that played good music. Our server brought me the wrong dish. The dish she brought me was good though, lol. No complaints here. We had the biscuits and chicken, and the potato hash. We ended our meal with the caramelized banana bar. Yum! Overall I rate out experience pretty high. Looking forward to coming back to try the Southwest Egg White Bowl!

We visited to celebrate the man’s birthday. We arrived early since we planned to visit a couple of other places afterward. When we got there, it was fairly empty, but it didn’t stay that way for long. The space is really spacious. We dined in the main dining room, and the service was excellent. The host, servers, and manager were all very friendly. For appetizers, we ordered the wagyu pigs in a blanket and pepperoni and sausage pizza. I had a shot of tequila, while the man enjoyed an Old Fashioned and an IPA. The appetizers were delicious. I couldn’t decide if I liked the honey mustard crème sauce that came with the pigs in a blanket, but I definitely enjoyed them without the sauce. For our main dishes, we had the roasted salmon and steak frites. The salmon had a perfectly crispy top layer and was cooked to a perfect medium. It was delicious! It came with butternut squash farro, which I wasn’t sure how I felt about, but it was interesting. The steak frites were flavorful and also cooked to a perfect medium. Very tasty. Unfortunately, we had no room left for dessert. We spent about $190, including the tip. After we paid, we went to check out the rooftop. It was stunning—spacious, with tables and seating perfectly arranged to showcase the beautiful city skyline and lights. We grabbed two more drinks at the bar and soaked in the view, spending another $35 with tip. We would definitely return and plan to opt for rooftop dining next time. Highly recommend!

There’s a lack of communication between the coordinators. We made reservation for 6:30pm, and wasn’t seated till 6:50. Came early to be prepared for a surprised event. One of the table was available whole entire time, and by the time the birthday arrived we had to still wait. His birthday cake stood out for 4:30 hours. Stacy serviced us, and he provided an outstanding service. He gave good recommendations on the food. I like the fried chicken. The batter is mixed with beer. Crunchy, and tasty.

Culinary Dropout in Dallas is a hidden gem! The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between laid-back and stylish, making it a great spot for any occasion. We had an amazing experience thanks to our waiter, Major, who was so kind and patient throughout our meal. We started with the soft pretzel and cheese fondue—warm, soft, and paired perfectly with a creamy cheese dip. For our mains, we tried the Pub Burger, Fried Chicken Sandwich, and Fish and Chips with Truffle Fries. The Pub Burger was juicy and flavorful, the Fried Chicken Sandwich had just the right crunch, and the Fish and Chips were crispy with a rich, savory taste. The Truffle Fries took it all to the next level with their incredible flavor. We also ordered the Steak Frites and Brussels Sprouts as sides. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender and seasoned just right, while the Brussels sprouts were crispy and packed with flavor. Overall, Culinary Dropout has an outstanding menu and an incredible staff. If you're in Dallas, don't miss out—this place is a must-try!

Google
Culinary Dropout is one of the best new restaurants for any occasion, whether dining with family and/or friends, going on a date night, or hosting a business dinner! The food tastes phenomenal, the staff is attentive and friendly, and the restaurant has ample seating with a full bar and live music.

Google
This place is a solid option for good food, service, and comfortable atmosphere. We started with the house-made chips with onion dip which did not disappoint. My friend got spicy Tuna with crispy rice sushi roll and I had salmon with farrow. Everything was great! My salmon dish was cooked perfectly and the salmon had great flavor. The farrow had a hint of sweetness, I liked that the whole dish was seasoned well but I was expecting a more savory/salty flavor (this was just a personal preference and I think others would really enjoy it). My friend and I liked the portion sizes but I would say it's smaller than most places we've eaten. While the portions aren't monstrous they make up for in quality and flavors. Service was prompt and helpful. We were greeted, drink and food orders were promptly taken. The bartender was knowledgeable of the menu and gave recommendations. The atmosphere was clean, trendy, and comfortable. We can't wait to back to try other items on the menu.

Wanted to like Culinary Dropout but my fears were true. Started out with a nightmare parking situation. Empty lot but all spots were either reserved for take out or set up for valet. I would get it if it was a Friday or weekend but on a Wednesday night seems crazy. When I finally parked and got in I enjoyed the atmosphere and vibe. Finishes were well done and inviting albeit slightly confusing on which door to use as there are 3 of them in all completely different places. When it came to food the wagyu pigs in a blanket were excellent, would definitely recommend them. The Cesar salad was tasty but the croutons where kind of odd with large chunks, would have preferred smaller pieces. As for service it definitely could have been better. Didn't get silverware/napkins until midway through my appetizer, never got checked back on after my beer emptied, and sat for a bit after finishing my food. Overall I'd come back as it's nearby but is not a place I would go out of my way for, especially for the prices they charge

Yelp
Gorgeous restaurant with amazing vibe and amazing food. We wanted to share the dishes and server was so kind to split the dishes in half! Everything was so delicious and drinks were superb. Drinks: Tijuana spa water - 8/10 - Has great kick of jalapeño and light sweetness of pineapple. Evil Jungle princess- 10/10 - Fruity, refreshing, so good! Food: Chopped chicken salad - 10/10 - one if the best salad ever! I'm still thinking about it. If you like hearty salad, this is it. Would definitely get it again. Roasted salmon over risotto - 9/10 - the risotto under has sweet note and loved crispy Brussels sprouts on top. Crispy Chicken Katsu sandwich - 8/10 - Chicken was cooked to perfection of juicy and soft.

Yelp
He said pork was good ... Cole slaw wa vinegary My other team member had Mongolian beef and he loved it! I ordered it too & here is my take... The Mongolian beef was drenched in the liquid.. extra drenched yuck... and the broccolini has no heads on it!! Why on earth would they cut the heads off ?!! Ok I digressed.. under the beef is this porridge stuff .. No thank you.. I think Panda Express Mongolian beef is better. Ijs Service as ok. Would I return prob not

Yelp
Good location and a pretty atmosphere; I was not expecting it to be as spacious as it is. I dined in for dinner on a slow week night so the service was great. I think I met about five different staff members just checking in on how my dinner was going. We ordered the California and Shrimp Tempura sushi rolls and for my entree, I have the Chicken Katsu sandwich. The sushi rolls were just okay; nothing to write home about. The Katsu, however, was delicious. The only thing I disliked about it was that the bottom bread was extremely soggy. The sandwich kept falling apart so I couldn't get the full experience of it all... The flavors were all there so I got the gist. I got fries as a side and they were way too salty; I did not enjoy them. All in all, a solid dining experience.

Keidra M.

Yelp
The brussel sprouts were great!! A little too much sauce, but it didn't take away from the deliciousness of them. For entree I had the fried popcorn shrimp and zucchini. It was a tad too salty for me and it was hardly any zucchini. It was on menu as appetizer so I can accept that that's why it wasn't much zucchini. The zucchini was thin cut though so it's really batter you're eating. Our waitress was good! She brought us our tickets at the end of her shift and the next shift never stopped by the table at all. We had been there long enough that we could've gone for another drink or something but again, no server ever stopped by. The ambiance was very chill. I'd go back!

Dez V.

Yelp
Greeted us as soon as we walked in. Very friendly. The food was good. I ordered the turkey pastrami with a side of au jus and a salad. It came out fast. Our server was friendly. I'll come back!

Chelsea N.

Yelp
Went to culinary dropout for a galentines dinner and we left very satisfied. Valet parking was quick and easy. Everything was delicious. Appetizers were great. I had the pasta and it was perfect. Service was great. Interior decor looked nice. Definitely will go back.

Susan S.

Yelp
The fried shrimp appetizer was outstanding! We followed that with a French dip sandwich that was a really hearty bite in a breezy day. The atmosphere is very welcome and inviting and it made a great business lunch! It's nearby enough to be a lunchtime regular.

Ashley M.

Yelp
Stopped by for a last minute dinner with friends and we left happy! I loved the live music, food, and drinks. Drink-wise, I recommend the sangria and the evil jungle princess. To start we had the spicy tuna crispy rice which we loved, but we didn't really care for the truffle deviled eggs. We were really looking forward to the truffle, crispy prosciutto combo and were expecting a burst of flavor but they were underwhelming and fell flat. I was torn between the steak frites and the fish and chips, ultimately I went with the fish and chips and was happy with choice. Overall it was a great experience, and I'll be back.

Yelp
We had been to the Scottsdale location a handful of years ago and didn't remember a lot about it. I thought I remembered it as being average, but wasn't sure. We, fortunately, had a reservation. They had two events going on so there wasn't as much seating as usual. We were seated right away and a server came over shortly. We ordered cocktails and then looked over the menu. Our server suggested the soft pretzels with cheese. We love those so we ordered it. What she didn't mention was that the pretzel "bites" were the size of my fist. We felt like maybe that should have been mentioned. The cheese fondue that came with the pretzels was so good. We couldn't eat all of them. We ordered salads and we each ordered an appetizer for dinner. It all came at once and we would have preferred our salads first. My salad wasn't brought out so they went back to check on it. It was brought out. I ordered it with dressing on the side and I got dressing on the side. My salad also already had dressing on it. My husband ordered sushi that came with wasabi, but not soy sauce. He had to ask for that. He also felt like the Caesar salad dressing had too much vinegar in it. A manager(?) came by and filled our water glasses. She asked how everything was and we said okay. She insisted we tell her any issues we had, so we did. She wanted to comp us a dessert, but we didn't want one. We told her we didn't want anything to be done, but she insisted we tell her, so we did - so she could make improvements, not so we could get something out of it. If we could give half stars, they would have received a 3.5. We probably won't go to any of their restaurants again.

Marcos R.

Yelp
It's a great spot for large gatherings and intimate dates. I ordered the short ribs and famous bread with fondue dip. Both were good and filling. The service is very nice and sweet.

Sutona S.

Yelp
I had a very different idea of what culinary drop out meant but at least I wasn't let down. The drinks were strong and the food is really good for bar type food. We ordered 2 nachos so you get the picture. I'll be back!

Chetas C.

Yelp
Wanting to try something new in the city, I stopped by Culinary Dropout for lunch. I wanted a good mix of things so I ordered an appetizer of the wagyu pigs in a blanket as well as an order of the steak and fries. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the steak medium well and it came out just as ordered. The pigs in a blanket was super tasty with a really flavorful sauce. The staff were friendly and attentive. Overall a great experience.

Yelp
After a long walk from Katy Trail, we decided to treat ourselves to a meal at Culinary Dropout. This is my second time at Culinary Dropout (the first was at a Yelp event a couple months back), and it was just as delicious! I recommend ordering the fried chicken and biscuits. The dish comes with a side of coleslaw and mashed potatoes with gravy. The coleslaw had a hint of apple juice, which was refreshing! The chicken was fried to perfection, the biscuit was warm and fluffy, and the mashed potatoes were amazing! My husband and I both enjoyed our lunch on the rooftop. The restaurant is gorgeous. Also, amazing service!

Outstanding service, great location, menu for everyone! See you there!!

Yelp
Culinary dropout was a great choice. The ambience in here is honestly so vibey. I sat at the bar and got bites during happy hour. The nachos are really good and very filling and easy to share. I also tried the pretzel bites. The fondue is a great experience so if you're into that, please get that! Everything I tried was a 10 out of 10 and I cannot wait to come back to try more and also hit the rooftop. Our bartender was really nice and gave us recommendations on what to get. I didn't get to try any drink drinks, but I will be back for more.

Semhar M.

Yelp
My husband and I recently celebrated our five year wedding anniversary at Culinary Dropout for a sunny Saturday brunch and it was delicious! The fried chicken really blew my mind at how juicy and tender it was with the perfect crisp. What I'll get again: the steak frites, the fried chicken, and maybe the brussel sprouts. Cocktails: the espresso martini and the campfire vibes cocktail which was exquisite! The deviled eggs were just okay and the wagyu pigs in a blanket were a bit too dry for me. Absolutely amazing service and just know that the fried chicken is made fresh so be prepared to wait. Thanks CD for a great anniversary brunch!

Cedrick T.

Yelp
While the atmosphere is nice and alluring, the food was rather lackluster. Amazing staff, great place to socialize with large parties, but I personally would not go solely for a meal. The wagyu pigs in a blanket was disappointing. Crab fried rice was great Arugula Detroit Style Pizza was good, and worth its price Pork Belly Nachos were decent. A good happy hour destination with good cocktails!

Yelp
This is a very trendy two level restaurant that was located within 1 mile of the hotel we were staying at, the Hilton Anatole. The inside is very nicely decorated with a theme of wood tones, greenery and modern light fixtures. On the first level there's a bar in the middle and in the back there's a nice stage area. The staff were friendly. We reserved through Open Table since we went for dinner on a weekend. They had live music on Saturday nights, but we finished dinner before they started their set. Our food came out very quickly, and they have nice sized portions but the food was very delicious. Definitely recommend this restaurant for a nice dinner out with friends or family!

Amanda V.

Yelp
Service And the ambience at culinary dropout is always wonderful. I was able to try the deviled eggs and the fried shrimp. Their drinks are delicious & picture worthy! I recommend sitting on the rooftop patio when the weather is nice and arriving early or having tip for valet.

Alicia J.

Yelp
I visited with a group of 6, and it was a great spot for a casual night out! The portion sizes are perfect for sharing, which made it easy for everyone to try a little bit of everything. The restaurant has a huge rooftop, which will be awesome when the weather cools down, perfect for watching games or grabbing drinks with friends. As far as starters go, the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket were fantastic--great choices for sharing and absolutely delicious! I ordered the Korean Style Ribeye Cap. It it was tasty, but not my favorite dish of the night. I'd definitely be curious to try something else next time. Parking was easy, with plenty of space available and valet if you prefer. Overall, it's a great spot for a group hangout or a casual date night. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu!

Keith F.

Yelp
Simply amazing experience! Service was exceptional! Professional, personable and knowledgeable about the company's history and menu options. I ordered the deviled eggs to start they were amazing! Food quality is similar to a Chilis. My food was lukewarm and presentation is not high. Many options to choose from and we'll definitely have to return to try more options.

Shannon W.

Yelp
Great spot for drinks and dinner! Total vibe atmosphere-wise and there's live music! Good place to take a group because there is something for everyone. The fried chicken, steak and sushi was so good. Can't wait to go back!

Aryelle S.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised with this place and the meal. All the food we had was fantastic and so were the mocktails. They offer complimentary valet and the place is huge. They had live music start at 7pm on a Friday night which was nice too. I'll definitely be going back to try the other food menu items.

Sarah H.

Yelp
Amazing service, excellent food, and a great place to meet up with friends. This laidback environment was perfect for a little family date and we were able to sit and enjoy the fun and well lit dining room. We ordered their homemade chips with "famous" onion dip to start which was delicious and light! Then we had a dip sandwich and an order of the fish and chips for the table. The portions were perfect and everything was flavorful. (That fish batter was amazing!) Can't wait to go back and try the other options!

Jessica M.

Yelp
I love culinary dropout! The menu is so expansive that I didn't know where to start. The fried chicken is a must try! I loved the honey that came with it, it really perfected the flavors. The truffle pizza was really good, I wish we could've finished it but we were honestly eating with our eyes with all of the options that were offered. The shrimp was fried nicely and the sauce it came with complimented it beautifully. The steak frites were also a hit! Our server was personable and funny! The interior is decorated tastefully and they even have a rooftop area. It was a great first experience and I left wanting to try everything from this spot!

Freda R.

Yelp
Nice, spacious, classy atmosphere. Could not tell the customers from the employees because everyone had on their street clothes. Limited menu and kinda pricey for what's limited. After hour is 2-5, earlier than normal. Had tomato basil soup, fish and chips with a cocktail. Fish a little greasy but tasty, soup a little salty. Cocktail was good. Overall it's an okay place, cool vibe. I was too early for the music. Will go back on some else's dime.

Alyse H.

Yelp
The Culinary Dropout is a cute, fun, and quirky British-style gastropub serving up comfort food classics and delicious cocktails. I really enjoyed their brunch and service. I had their espresso martini, deviled eggs for an app, and Smokehouse Hash for my entree and Fried Chicken & Buttermilk Biscuits. It's the perfect spot for a chill night out with friends or a casual date. So go check them out and tell them Ms. Hope sent you! #MsHopeEats Espresso Martini Deviled Eggs Smokehouse Hash Fried Chicken & Buttermilk Biscuits

Yelp
So the kids took me out for a belated birthday celebration here at Culinary Dropout and I am glad they did. When you walk in, you feel this energy and know you are in a big city restaurant. It's huge, with bar seating, booth seating and high top seating which both can seat 6 easy maybe seven, which we sat at. They also had a live band (or person) in our case that was performing live music, which was cool. We came here for the cocktails and good food. Appetizers were ordered and shared. Not pictured, but I had a chicken wing that was really good and sticky. The other hit was the house chips and dipping sauce. These chips were nice and crunchy, very good. I highly recommend them. The pretzel balls with cheese was also good and the deviled eggs. Fish and chips were ordered at least 3 times, the fried chicken, steak frites and the Detroit style pizza. Out of all of these items, I would have to say the fried chicken stole the show. It was excellent, not overly greasy at all and juicy, bravo! The fish and chips were a bit of a let down. I won't order that again. The pizza was decent. Even though the service was a bit slow, and some items were forgotten like appetizer plates when the appetizers came out, we will come back. Our server was friendly and always had a smile on her face.

Josh R.

Yelp
This was my first time here. We started with the soft pretzels and fondue, and for my meal I had the Crispy Chicken Katsu sandwich. The food wasn't life changing, but overall tasted good. The service was a bit of a mess. It took a while for our food to come out, and they lost one of our orders.

Adriana C.

Yelp
We stopped by for happy hour on a Friday. We wanted to sit on the rooftop but it doesn't open until 4, which is annoying. EWe ordered the margarita and it was disgusting, almost hard to drink. I ordered a sangria drink on happy hour which was very good. We got a sushi roll because it was on happy hour, but when we checked the regular menu they were the SAME price. Not sure what type of happy hour that is, but very misleading. Either way, customer service was good.

Zerenity W.

Yelp
It's the cutest restaurant; offers live music and a beautiful rooftop with a nice view of downtown. I have visited 3 times within 2 months so let's just say I'm addicted. The fried chicken has truly been perfected (This is coming from someone who is not a "chicken person"). The breading is so crispy and seasoned flawlessly. The biscuit is soft and mash potatoes are whipped well. The french toast is amazing as well. I wasn't a fan of the breakfast sandwich and it came out cold so I got the chicken instead; best decision ever! The service has been top tier every time I've visited! Today we were checked on my many people who wanted to make sure we were serviced. That was really appreciated. Overall: 10/10 You need to go!!

David B.

Yelp
Really had a great date night out. The cocktails were great and the beer tasted like fresh Mountain water very refreshing. The Korean steak was a little spicier than what I thought it would be but still delicious and tender the fish and chips for crisp and what I expected I recommend the potato chips very satisfying Service was pretty good. I know it was a busy night look forward to slipping over there during the week for maybe a happy hour and try some other things This new establishment had their pizza ovens on the fritz that night which is kind of a bummer I wanted to also try one of those as well to add Using the valet is an absolute must. Very tight fitted parking lot and with all the different venues down there if they didn't have it there would be no parking.

Mikhael W.

Yelp
Welp, my fellow Texas locals...we finally got our wish...I believe everyone from the state of California has officially called Texas "home" **eye roll**. I get this place is everywhere but I'm getting Cali vibes. Very cool, chill and laid back. Friendly, tanned, and beautiful people with eccentric choices in fashion. They're killing it! The service was on point. We were informed that this location is one of the only restaurants with a rooftop but it was 103 that day...didn't feel like passing out from heat exhaustion. I was looking forward to trying the pizza but they were out of dough so I opted for the duck and shrimp fried rice. Generous portion, great taste. Maybe a 7/10....there's was something sweet tasting...it was different. This fried chicken was fried chicken but the star of the show was the popcorn shrimp! A hit! Lightly breaded, cooked perfectly. The sauce and the lemon accompaniment totally worked for this appetizer! The drinks could've gone a little harder in the paint. They were just pretty. I've had much tastier for half the price, in my opinion. This place is going to do well and be here for a while! Welcome to Dallas, Culinary Dropout!

Bev S.

Yelp
Excellent evening with amazing service for our large group! Staff was so efficient & kind! My meal was outstanding! Had a great evening while visiting Texas!

Myra G.

Yelp
I wish I can e here sooner while attending my conference at Hilton Anatole. Came here in a Saturday and had brunch. The pretzel fondue we shared and it was delicious. I was surprised I enjoyed it. I had the fish and chips which I enjoyed very much. I wish stopped by during the week, I heard their duck fried rice was delicious!

Princess W.

Yelp
Was able to check this place out on a random Wednesday afternoon with a friend. It's pretty spacious and has a cool aesthetic vibe. They have a live band downstairs and dj upstairs Thursday-Saturday (double check days with host) I was able to check out both downstairs and upstairs in my visit, as we stayed from late lunch until past happy hour . We shared Brussel sprouts, Black truffle mushroom pizza, and the Peking duck and shrimp fried rice! The Brussels were a bit undercooked but the pizza and rice were perfection. I'm still thinking about the Peking Duck & Shrimp fried rice. The Black Truffle Mushroom pizza was cheesy goodness and had a perfect golden crunch.. We had various drinks and they were all pretty good. The two drinks worth mentioning though are Summer Tan Sangria and Endless Summer Margarita. Definitely give this spot a visit! I'll be back for the live music.

Abhinav K.

Yelp
After watching multiple reels on instagram I had to try it. Great place to have dinner with friends or drink cocktails on their rooftop patio with a view of Dallas skyline. Rooftop menu is limited so do not reserve a table on the patio if you want to have a proper dinner. The dinner room had a nice casual but upscale vibe. The service was quick and server did make a lot of good recommendations. For cocktails we ordered their espresso martini, old fashioned, Endless Summer Margarita and Evil Jungle Princess and they all were really good but my favorite was their espresso martini. For starters we ordered the Soft Pretzels & Provolone Fondue and the Crispy Brussels Sprouts. I'm not a brussel sprouts person but I will go back and order them here for sure. For main course me and my friends shared Crispy Chicken Katsu, Shrimp Tempura Crunch, White Truffle Deviled Eggs and Chicken Cacio e Pepe. We did not like chicken caico e pepe but everything else was really good. There were other things in the menu that we wanted to try so will be back for sure. Valet was complimentary.

Jeff D.

Yelp
Great service and great food. Same as the Austin location but they have Pizza and Sushi add to the Dallas menu.

Sophia J.

Yelp
I was super excited to try this restaurant when I saw how pretty the inside and outside of restaurant looked! And yes it was as I saw in pictures and loved the vibe. I went with couple friends and we started off with the famous soft pretzels&provolone fondue, shrimp tempura crunch roll, spicy tuna crispy rice roll, steak frites, chicken cacio e pepe, and black truffle mushroom pizza. Honestly the food was super mid. I learned not to order sushi rolls at an American restaurant, pasta was ridiculous.. noodles easily falling apart and you can barely smell or even taste the black truffle in the pizza. The service was bad! Our server came around couple times, literally only to serve the food when it was ready. AND she got our order mixed up so brought out the wrong pizza. First of all, if your customer orders multiple dish, take note so you don't mess up. We had to wait quite a while after we were done with all the other dishes just for the pizza. And our water glasses were empty almost from the beginning and she not once filled it up. I honestly don't see myself revisiting ...

Yelp
I've read reviews prior to coming, so this has been on my list to try. Delicious choice! I got the roast salmon & farro - salmon was melt-in-your-mouth tender, not overdone. We shared crispy rice & tuna and Brussel sprouts w gochujang sauce - perfectly crispy & spicy. The sushi options & gochujang were unexpected menu items. The wait staff was friendly; the place has a fun mid-day vibe, if I had the time, I would come back in the evening & check it out.

Yelp
This place is a dream. Such a nice addition to the area. The service was friendly and attentive. Smiles right when we walked in all the way until we left. We ordered the tuna crispy rice, which was very fresh. It wasn't too spicy, so I did want some Sriracha, but it was still very good even without it. The chicken katsu sandwich was fresh and juicy. The slaw they placed on top was flavorful and a nice pairing with the fried chicken breast. The duck fried rice was herbacious and well prepared. It wasn't too large of a portion either, so it's perfect for lunch. What can I say about the fried chicken. I'm almost without words. It was so crisp but not burnt, which many places have issues with. The meat was rich and flavorful all the way to the bone. The biscuit and mashed potatoes are in a class of their own. So light and fluffy. I would love to see what brunch is like. We will be back and recommend you visit as soon as possible before the rest of DFW figures it out.

Yelp
Very cute place! I came here for the rooftop but unfortunately there was a big party there so we weren't able to check it out. But the resturant itself was nicely decorated and the food was good! My favorite was the duck fried rice. It's a must!

Yelp
Went on a Saturday afternoon with a few friends. Cute location. Friendly service. Food took a while to come out but it was good when it finally did. No one had complaints. I'd go back to try a couple of other menu items. Great mocktail options.

Yelp
Pros: plenty of TVs, lots of seating. Both indoor and outdoor areas. Food was decent. Cons: limited menu upstairs. Runners kept getting food orders confused. Very loud. Live music is downstairs only and upstairs is a DJ. Came to checkout this new spot on Saturday night. Of course we had to make a reservation for the upstairs patio as this looked like the place for views and atmosphere. Didn't realize it would be a DJ and limited food menu. Hard to hang out with speakers right over the table and have a conversation. As we were leaving checked out the live music in the bar area downstairs which was more of the vibe that I thought the rooftop patio would be. Little too noisy and active for a dinner. Will probably be a good spot for football in the fall, but I will hold off until then to venture back.

Yelp
Amazing patio with a great view of downtown. Pigs in a blanket plus the pretzels with fondue are to die for. There is also a pretty extensive cocktail menu. A really great place to chill out.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise! I saw this restaurant highly recommended by some neighbors and we gave it a shot for dinner tonight. The soft pretzels and fondue were popular so we ordered those and the pork belly nachos. Both were excellent - delicious, perfect texture, and full of rich cheesy flavor. For dessert we got my partner's favorite dessert of all time - the Mississippi mud pie. We enjoyed it but the dark chocolate almost seemed like a ganache, not like a true whippy mud pie. Overall, the family loved it and we will certainly visit again soon!

Yelp
One of the best new restaurants in Dallas, Culinary Dropout is the perfect place to dine for any occasion! My large family ordered different appetizers and main dishes. We all loved everything we ate. The staff is friendly. The restaurant has ample seating, live music, fun decor, and a rooftop lounge area. I highly recommend! Book a reservation as it gets popular!

Yelp
I took a client here for lunch a couple weeks ago. They're relatively new and such a beautiful restaurant, with a bonus of a rooftop bar! If I lived near here, I'd be there watching sports. The bad are was also so cute and just the whole place is a total vibe! I don't remember our servers name, but the three of us ordered the deviled eggs, prime dip, and the chopped chicken salad. My prime rib dip wasn't my favorite, the bread was a little soggy/soft and the meat wasn't the French dips I normally favor (I like hearty bread for the au jus). That said, everything else was fantastic and I'll definitely be back when I'm the area again.
