"For the coffee lover on your list, give the taste of one of Dallas’s favorite coffee shops. The loyal following for Cultivar will confirm that few other cups can compete. It sustainably sources beans and offers a sourcing blog for each blend it sells. That’s a nice add-on piece of info for folks who are serious about coffee and the environment. Get them a bag to start or, for those who are already devotees, spring for the monthly coffee subscription." - Courtney E. Smith

"This coffee bar shares a space with the taco joint Good 2 Go Taco, which means they have unusually good food options for a working coffee spot. Both the tacos and the espressos are neighborhood favorites, so you’ll want to arrive early to snag seating."

Google
The best coffee I’ve had in Dallas (so far - and it will be hard to beat). I always order a honey latte so when I saw they had The Local Honey as one of their signature drinks I had to come here. And it was sooo worth it. You can tell it’s good based on the color of it - dark like a true latte should be! I will be back for more! I also appreciate that milk alternatives are free here - that is so hard to find! The vibes inside were great and they seemed to serve delicious food too. Definitely a lot of kids and families inside.

Google
Excellent coffee and service. I don't live locally, but I'd be happy to return for a latte from this spot anytime I'm back in the area.

Google
The "Notorious" biscuit sandwich was extremely good and worth the trip alone. The cold brew and coffee were both very sour and overly acidic, I couldn't even finish them, if you are into coffee not a great place for good standalone coffee. The staff seemed to be a reflection of this with the cafe workers being cold, short, and distant and the biscuit/food workers friendly and social.

Max Vanderheyden

Google
Trendy third wave coffee spot where the espresso comes with a whole can of sparkling water. Also the bacon is pretty excellent.

Google
Best cortado in Dallas. It is on the pricey side, but I have yet to have a better and consistent experience. I come at least one a week. Comfortable space and good service. There is a reason why they are always busy on the weekends. I also recommend you pick up a bag of coffee beans for your home brew.

Google
Perfect spot for a quick bite or catch up with a loved one/friend. Cute interior and friendly staff. We have visited a couple of times and enjoyed each visit. Coffee is always excellent. The lavender latte and espresso are favorites. For food, we enjoy the pancakes and any biscuit sandwich. Everything looks great and fresh.

Google
Extremely overpriced and quality doesn’t match price point. Been here twice now, the first time I ordered an iced matcha latte with lavender syrup and honey whip and it was literally $10.01 so first off the price is already kind of insane. Then I got the drink and it had been filled with as much ice as possible and the whatever small bit of the $10 latte could fit in the remaining space. The latte was good but, not nearly enough of it for the price. Tried them one more time because I was getting food at good friend and really wanted a matcha so decided to try one more time ordering the same thing but with light ice. Paid another $10, and initially received my latte without the honey whip I paid $1 extra for and when she put it on she covered a small portion in the middle of the cup, not even covering the entire top with whip I paid extra for. There was a larger amount of the latte this time but unfortunately it tasted extremely watered down this time with not much flavor. Just been really disappointed both times, can’t speak for the coffee however.

Google
Coffee was great but this is not a hangout sort of place. Drink your coffee, hang out with your friends and talk, head on to the next. My cold brew was excellent but I was really hoping for a place to chill for a bit. That's not here. Parking is tough and I would not have expected the lot to be so full at noon on a weekday but they share the lot with multiple places that were busy.

Yelp
That biscuit is the truth! Homemade and the turkey as well. I love the coffee options. The was a unique blend iced. I love coming to this place when I visit Dallas.

Yelp
The person taking our order was very friendly! My husband ordered a cold brew, and I got the lavender honey bee! Both had great quality coffee. The latte was not very sweet, so depending on preference you may want to ask for more sweetener. I asked for a hot latte, but I was given an iced latte. I think because it was hot outside the person taking the order may have automatically thought I said cold. When they called out the drink, I hesitated and the man said if it wasn't correct, he'd redo it. I went ahead and took the cold version! But they were very kind about the mix-up! Would definitely go back to try the sandwiches that looked delicious. They have lots of seating and a relaxed environment.

Yelp
Yummy with a capital Y! I chose the seasonal Birthday cake latte on ice (sprinkles optional). The barista had the perfect phrase for it "a complex vanilla". I loved it. They do their own syrups (except sugar-free latte). I especially liked the fact that I could still taste the espresso in the drink.

Yelp
Tried Cultivar for the first time today and I wasn't so impressed. Service was really good . They were so nice and brought my drink out to me while we waited for our breakfast at goodfriend (amazing). Vanilla latte was underwhelming. The roast was too dark for it . Not enough vanilla flavor . More syrup wouldn't have helped . Lavender latte tasted like the syrup was slightly burnt. I would come back when eating at goodfriend but wouldn't go out of my way for this place

Yelp
I love this place, when you order a doppio they give you a full can of sparkling water, Win!

Yelp
If you're a caffeine enthusiast like me, than Cultivar, and the Nitro Cold Brew is the crown jewel of their offerings. From the moment I took that first sip, I was transported to coffee paradise. The presentation alone is enough to make you snap a pic for your Instagram feed. The cascading, velvety swirl of coffee as it pours from the tap is pure artistry. And as for the taste? Exceptional. It's smooth, bold, and has just the right touch of sweetness. The nitrogen infusion takes the coffee experience to a whole new level. The ambiance at Cultivar is just as pleasing. It's a cozy space with a welcoming vibe, perfect for getting some work done. The staff here is super friendly and knowledgeable about their coffee offerings. They were happy to answer my questions and make recommendations.

Yelp
I had the local honey and it was very good, highly recommend this place for those who are really into the specialty coffee world! Service was great, the barista was very nice and accommodating, you could tell he loved his job. Be warned at coming here past 3 pm! From 3-6 pm, it's outdoor seating or take out only. Don't take your date here if it's raining or super hot past 3 pm!

Yelp
I got a hibiscus tea from the tap. I am not from Dallas but I think about this hibiscus tea so often that it's become a deep desire in my heart. Someday I will return. The deep ruby color topped by the soft pink froth on top is the stuff of dreams and magic. The barista was a gem too. Service is great.

Yelp
The actual coffee shop seating isn't too small but not that big either. They have two counters in which you order coffee and pay at first and if you want have food on another counter they make in house. I only got coffee but the food looked good. I got their seasonal lavender bee drink and my boyfriend got the iced mocha. Both had a good coffee taste but were not very sweet. A little pricey compared to other coffee shops in the area.
google avatar

Karen S.

Yelp
Hidden Gem! You grab your coffee on one side and slide a couple feet and grab something eat. Coffee though looked pretty was Luke warm, hence my 4 stars. Staff was hip and cool on both sides.
google avatar

Diana K.

Yelp
We really enjoy coming here for a great cup of coffee. The freshness and quality of taste is never disappointing and the staff is nice. It is conveniently located in a small eatery that serves a great breakfast so it's fun to go with friends.
google avatar

Joscelin B.

Yelp
Pretty crowded and loud. Not necessarily a coffee shop to study or work at. I got a hot vanilla latte, 1/2 sweet and it was great. Barista was friendly!
google avatar

Minly L.

Yelp
Dropped in to for a quick pick up. For a Tuesday, there was a decent amount of people with pretty loud music. Probably not the best place for studying, but a great place to make chat and hang with a pal. Coffee isn't too bad. The cold brew I got had chocolate notes. The more I drank it the more I enjoyed it. I saw that they had a spring/summer lavender drink so I'm excited to go back before the season ends.

Yelp
Oh lord, how I love Cultivar. I cannot sing its praises enough. Their local honey has become my favorite drink of all time -- it's a latte lightly sweetened with honey, and it is the PERFECT marriage of sweetness to espresso. It's not too sweet, plus they use local honey in it (obviously, per the name). Add the honey whip on top for an extra indulgent treat (but it's $1 extra on an already expensive price point, so save that for a day when you really need it). I also cannot emphasize how amazing their artichoke romesco pastry is; I haven't ever had such a deliciously, perfectly buttery, flaky, savory pastry before, and it pairs so well with the Local Honey, too. The quality of the espresso, pastries, consistency of drinks, and versatility of options (they're great hot or iced) keeps me coming back. The fact that they share this space with a biscuit/sandwich shop (Goodfriend Package) that SLAPS is just an extra perk! Despite this coffee shop being the farthest away from me and being a bit pricier than my other go-to spots in Dallas, it is 100% worth the drive and I am truly sad to be leaving this place behind soon. Re: parking, BE CAREFUL not to park in the adjacent lot that is usually empty. This is for Royal Pour (an establishment that is not even in this complex but an adjacent one) and they are ruthless about towing. Cultivar's lot doesn't have a ton of spots so when it's busy, you will have to circle around a few times and maybe wait for someone to leave before you can park, but trust me, it's worth the trouble.
google avatar

Emme D.

Yelp
Love the craft coffees at Cultivar. The drinks are perfectly sweetened and flavored. Will also give you the pep you need to jumpstart the morning.

Yelp
I still think this spot has overpriced coffee (be prepared to pay almost $7 if you order one of their seasonal coffee drinks for example)...but I came in today and ordered a decaf Lavender Bee-a latte with lavender and oat milk-and it was delicious! I don't typically like lattes (I'm more of a cortado drinker) but I actually enjoyed the drink. It was a refreshing balance of lavender, espresso, and milk and the espresso was robust enough that the tasting notes still shone through in the drink. I wouldn't come here often because the coffee prices are too expensive in my opinion to sustain on a regular basis but I can commend/ appreciate this place for the yummy drink they made me today.

Yelp
I was really excited to visit Cultivar. I've seen a lot of local coffee bloggers post about it and was excited to check it off my list. After reading some reviews on here I thought I'd try a drink that wasn't a caffeinated latte because I didn't want to underwhelmed. I like my coffees to pack a punch. I ordered the golden oat which was really good! It wasn't sweet and it had a nice touch of cinnamon flavor between the turmeric, which is the focus of the drink. However, if you do get this drink make sure you are continually swirling it in your cup because the turmeric settles at the bottom. I didn't do that and my last 2 drinks were straight chalky turmeric, lol. My bad...still a good drink just keep on swirling! There's minimal table seating but we went when it was pretty chill, so we were able to grab table and hang out for a little bit. There's some natural light from the front windows and the plants all around make the vibe really calming. Customer service isn't bad, but fairly mediocre. We're hardly over here in this area, but if I every am I definitely want to try it out again to give them the benefit of the doubt. I saw they sell local honey and should have gotten some while I was there, so maybe next time I'll get some with a bag of coffee and grab a sandwich in the back.

Yelp
My fav coffee shop in Dallas by far! It's a great spot to grab a coffee or lunch with friends, or to take your computer and work for a bit. Staff is always awesome and coffee is fantastic. WiFi is fast too. Highly recommend! They also have a large beer selection for take away and to make your own six packs.
google avatar

Art C.

Yelp
Just passing through... but they make an excellent cappuccino. Thank you for that!

Miguel D.

Yelp
Probably the most expensive Cortado I've ever purchased. Came out to 5+ bucks for a cortado with OAT milk. The espresso itself tasted average a bit more bitter than I'd like. I ordered from the window so I can't speak on the experience but over all it was neither here nor there. Wouldn't go out of my way to drink coffee here.

Amit B.

Yelp
Apparently their coffee is good but avoid eating there unless you want hair (probably beard dropping) in your food. When I took my food back to the counter the only response from the bearded guy was "where's the hair?" Yuck!!!
google avatar

Madigan M.

Yelp
This little shared space coffee shop is a hidden gem. There's a small coffee bar to order drinks and a massive grill run by Goodfriends to order breakfast food and sandwiches. There's limited seating in the coffee area, but it's brightened with artwork and plants. You can't miss the massive bar height shared tables in the main section, with a few more tables tucked into the back. Unfortunately, the two businesses run separate registers, so if you want coffee and a meal, you'll have to wait in line twice. Be sure to bring a friend or two to zealously guard your chairs while you're ordering - competition for seating on the weekends can get fierce! The breakfast menu is good - I had the avocado toast which was made a little spicy with the addition of a liberal sprinkle of cayenne pepper. I ordered a mocha and was glad that it was smooth and not too sweet.

James C.

Yelp
My favorite stop for coffee. The biscuits and gravy are worth a a special trip if you're in the area. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Great vibe.
google avatar

Samantha H.

Yelp
Good coffee. Hits the spot every time. Not your burnt-beans-Starbucks. I think I need to go get one right now actually. :)
google avatar

Isela V.

Yelp
Shared location with a breakfast/lunch spot was a plus for us. Their menu is quite standard to coffee bars; however, I have no doubt that they can whip up any other item you wish to throw at them. They are quite knowledgeable and very friendly, plus, did I mention they provide fast service? No drive thru for those that need that but there is plenty of parking in front of this shopping strip location.
google avatar

Heaney S.

Yelp
Very nice coffee shop and Vanilla latte is one of my favorite there. It taste really amazing. So many great coffee. Perfect with the food. Well-baked and good quality of bread. The place is simple and has a very pleasant atmosphere. Great customer service.
google avatar

James M.

Yelp
East I20 location in connection with an alternative restaurant. I had their corned beef hash and Cultivars Cortado and a drip black coffee for the drive. Baristas are top class and were fun to talk to about coffee. Cortado was excellent with a more floral coffee that gives a lot of espresso flavor. Excellent coffee company.
google avatar

Christa B.

Yelp
The vanilla lattes were super sweet, would have liked more coffee flavor. The syrup had an artificial taste. Not our favorite vanilla lattes.
google avatar

Nick M.

Yelp
Cold brew is excellent but I haven't been wowed by their other drinks... I had their drip coffee and had to take it back and exchange it for something else. For the price, you'd think it would be better? But I'm convinced I just haven't found my drink here -- definitely check it out but be patient and find what clicks with you! We'll definitely be back since Goodfriends is right there too; it's all just a bit pricy for what you get. I've had their beans at other coffee shop and it tastes good! If I could give 3.5 stars I would, but I'm convinced I'll find what I like here eventually. Staff and customers are friendly and the vibe is really chill.
google avatar

Victoria W.

Yelp
Decided to try this before going to church this morning and I must say that I really enjoy this place! It's a fairly cozy environment with a really good vibe. I love that they have an assortment of breakfast items and sandwiches that you can order along with having great coffee!! I'm also pretty partial to any place that serves pie ;) I got a mocha coffee and a bacon & Swiss cheese biscuit. The biscuit tastes homemade and the coffee was fantastic!!! This could definitely turn into a Sunday morning routine
google avatar

Heather M.

Yelp
I stopped in for a quick coffee and to grab some beans on a Saturday afternoon. Parking wasn't an issue and there was only a small wait - I got the lavender latter and the barista helped recommend different types of beans for what I was looking for. The latte was good and the beans (Ethiopian blend) have been very yummy at home! I would definitely like to come back and try other drinks and maybe grab some food from the deli that they share a space with.
google avatar

Ricardo A.

Yelp
Okay, I wanted to like this place I really did but it just fell short. I ordered the Iced Carmel Late, $5.00 for a small which is a bit pricy. Well after I received my coffee with anticipation I tried it, my wife looked at me and said what did you think. I started singing "the best part of waking up is Folders in your cup". It tasted like cheap folders coffee. I'm going to stick with: LaLa Land Coffee 151 Coffee Filtered when I'm in McKinney White Rock Coffee And if I'm bored then I'll get Starbucks. This was just not it.
google avatar

Nerak D.

Yelp
Nice small coffee place. Please notice that Goodfriend Package (sandwich place) located in the same space is not related to the coffee shop, they are only "roommates". Good coffee, really nice, kind staff and great music. Good place for a meeting, working or catching up with friends.y husband and I enjoyed the ambience.
google avatar

Guadalupe H.

Yelp
I love their iced and hot mocha. The customer service has always been great when I've visited. I also enjoy that they share a space with Goodfriend Package so you can have a delicious drink paired with delicious food.
google avatar

Christa B.

Yelp
Delicious coffee offerings - my fave is the "local honey" right on our neighborhood, grab coffee and breakfast from Goodfriend Package and keep it local!!
google avatar

Tae S.

Yelp
I have to give this place a five star because the barista knew how to make a London fog and she had oat milk. Yep, that is the way to my tea heart is that hot drink with oat milk. The barista was so nice and helpful. The place is inside a restaurant, store or something. The location is off but I guess it fits with the area.
google avatar

Abby S.

Yelp
Two stars bc the coffee is really good but I got my usual cappacino with oat and honey and they charged me $7.15 for it. I was so shocked and re glanced at the menu - capp is listed at $4.75, oat milk is only an extra $1. so what exactly was the seven dollars??? is honey that much of an up charge?

Jennifer L.

Yelp
If there are biscuits in Heaven, this is what they taste like. Worth the 20-minute wait!
google avatar

Katie G.

Yelp
This is an interesting little coffee shop. It's shared with a sandwich spot. The counters are separate but it is all one spot. I only hoped in to try a drink and didn't get to stick around. I will say the music was a bit loud for me. The baristas were very friendly though and the drink I ordered was yummy. It definitely seems like a nice spot to catch up with a friend. It almost has the vibe of a bar but still coffee shop. I do hope to return and try more drinks and hang around the shop to really feel the atmosphere of the spot.

Brandon M.

Yelp
It's worth the drive, no matter where you're at in Dallas. Kinda got an East Austin vibe. The staff was very helpful with coffee recommendations.
google avatar

C.J. K.

Yelp
Attention coffee fans: Nothing compares to the Cream and Sugar coffee beans. I've tried beans from roasters all over the country and these are the best. I just hope they ship because I'm moving and will be heart broken if I can't get these. If you're a coffee freak like me, do yourself and favor and pick up a bag of these beans.

Jack P.

Yelp
One of the best coffees in all of DFW. Great espresso and incredible drip and pour overs. High-tech new machine for making drip coffee, cold brew, etc. probably my favorite in Dallas.
google avatar

Cynthia C.

Yelp
This is definitely a really interesting concept to have a coffee shop and a cold cuts shop all in the same building. It's up to you if you like the smell of bacon while you're drinking your coffee though. I ordered the honey coffee, which came in a cute short mug and it was delicious! Not an overwhelmingly strong coffee taste, but creamy and smooth with a hint of sweetness. My friend ordered a mocha and it came in a short plastic to-go cup. There are no size options here, and the drink are definitely a lot smaller. My friend and I split a lemon poppy seed muffin and it had a very refreshing bits of lemon zest. The barista working here was very kind and offered us some free Guatemalan coffee since they were probably close to closing. I'm writing this review as we speak and he just brought it out on this cute wooden tray. The coffee comes in a glass teapot (maybe they're meant for coffee idk) with extra glasses. Overall, I would definitely recommend this coffee shop for the drinks and great service. However, it's not a great place to study because there are only 5 tables and a bar area. This table is made of wood, which adds to the cozy feel, but my laptop keeps moving because of the curve on the table. Lots of outlets though!

Nilda M.

Yelp
Crazy expensive coffee for an average product. I paid for an extra shot and coffee was still bland. Also...do you notice on the ticket part...Leopard print madk...what does this means? Also have in mind there is NO place to sit.
google avatar

Katherine V.

Yelp
Coffee was great and the cashier defiantly helped us out. The atmosphere is so neat and very open and will for sure be coming back! I order their cold brew with caramel... not sure what my mother in law order, but she enjoyed it as well lol

Sarah D.

Yelp
Delicious coffee. Is it expensive? Maybe a little? Is it worth it? Absolutely. They know what they're doing!
google avatar

Danielle C.

Yelp
While I love the food and getting a vanilla latte, I think their prices are way too high. I will come on occasion now because I can't justify spending so much each time.
google avatar

Dominik D.

Yelp
I came in for coffee, but was pleasantly surprised by the chai cream soda. If that's not hipster enough for you, they have a very southern/cowboy sort of hipster vibe which feels both different and authentic (music, artwork, and hardwood tables).
