SO delicious!!! def try original your first time and i loved the fruits + granola topping combo. house made granola was delicious and the fruits were so fresh. the flavor of the yogurt is phenomenal and has a slight tartness. best way to curb your sweet tooth.

Culture is good but is it good enough to explain the line out the door? Not sure. On a balmy Saturday night, we waiting for about 20 minutes to get in the door and eventually get served. The pros: the FroYo is quite good with an array of fresh toppings available. The person who served us was very cool about giving samples so we could determine which flavor to choose - we landed on the chocolate (great!) and the coconut cream which was very good but not super discernible from the plain flavor that we also tried. Overall, we enjoyed the yogurt but unsure if it was worth the wait.

It’s solid. It’s just expensive, and I found the strawberry purée overwhelmingly sweet. But the free olive oil topping is great!!! That’s a must. It was ~$10 for a small. I could get two flavors. I liked both the original and the caramel. It’s a fun dessert that doesn’t leave you feeling like poo after. Overall, I’d recommend giving it a try for sure.

I visited this establishment with my esteemed associates. After waiting in line or about 15 minutes, I got a small mango and passion frozen yogurt with pineapple and mochi toppings. Unfortunately, most toppings were out by the time I got my yogurt, including mango, raspberries, kiwi, and every other fruit except pineapple and banana which was rather disappointing. It was only 9pm. My associate got the raspberry flavor and it was a bit underwhelming, not tasting very strongly of raspberry. My other associate thought that the yogurt was good but the portion sizes were a bit too small for the price. My other associate got the unsweetened pineapple and liked that it wasn’t too sweet, rating it an 8/10. Overall the yogurt was delicious but the experience could have been better. 4/5 Update: I came back a couple days later and have a WONDERFUL experience. The flavors had changed, now featuring mint, ruby peach, chocolate, unsweetened blueberry raspberry, and organic strawberry banana. The ruby peach and mint especially stood out to me. I usually don’t like mint flavored desserts but this mint tasted SO FRESH. They also had all toppings. However my server was a bit rude and seemed annoyed at me for asking questions. The froyo here is truly one of a kind — so fresh and non artificial. Will be coming back for round 3 ASAP.

Amazing for all who can appreciate a tart froyo! Obviously a healthier option, love the portions, not what you want if your a sweet froyo lover, stick to 16 handles. I can appreciate this and love itx

Amazing Yogurt Ice Cream! I recently tried this yogurt ice cream and I must say, it was absolutely fantastic! Really enjoyed. Strawberry toppings were so fresh! Mochi was really good. 1 topping for $1.50 and 3 for $3.00. They put the toppings at the bottom too so you never run out! It’s an amazing ratio. Flavours rotate every 2-3 days and there are free samples. Guava rose and berry pie were quite good / interesting and not too sweet. They usually have free olive oil topping, but it was out at ~10pm on a Sunday. Long line but moves fast

Yummy!! 3-5 days their are new flavors but you can always anticipate good quality ingredients and full commitment to flavor! Pear ginger hit the nail on the head - delicious! Long line but worth it!

I LOVE froyo so I made it a point to try a couple places during my NYC visit. Culture was one of my favorite, as they had a solid menu and the yogurt itself was delicious and not icy/watery/overly sweet. Got the original with key lime topping/mango.

I had ordered a strawberry almond flavoured frozen yogurt with a topping of strawberries macerated in balsamic vinegar. The froyo had a tart flavour and was very different from anything I have had. Loved it!

Great dessert spot! Beware, the line can be out of control but it does move rather quick. I've been lucky to come when there was no line at all, so it's a hit or miss! I will say though, it's worth the wait. I love that Culture offers sweetened and unsweetened flavor options and they switch them up so you have an opportunity to try something new next time + so many topping options so you can build your own cup. They also have predesigned flavors with toppings for people like me who generally pile on ingredients that don't make sense together:) One of the main reasons I love this place is that it doesn't pretend to be anything other than a yogurt spot. It's not too sweet trying to mimic ice cream, and doesn't have any silly marketing. It's yogurt, it tastes like it but with fun unexpected flavors. 10/10 for me!

Hands down the BEST frozen yogurt I have ever had and certainly better than the other greek yogurt place I've tried. I got a mix of the original and blackberry and I was SHOCKED by how greater the blackberry flavor was (usually I feel like berry flavored foods are too artificial). The line definitely moved slowest out of the few we waited in over the weekend, but it was no trouble. I loved the topping options, especially the house granola. This was just the perfect treat on the city's first hot day in months.

Frozen yogurt is one of my favorite desserts ever! I got the original tart flavor with mochi and key lime pie. Was a little disappointed because the key lime pie reaallyyyy overtook the rest of the flavors. If I had known that it was going to be that powerful, I would have skipped it. The flavor was good, don't get me wrong, but I couldn't taste the original tart which is usually my favorite part of eating froyo!

Good yogurt and it's tangy like it's meant to be. I opted for a kids size oreo yogurt with strawberries. The oreo flavor was prominent and the strawberries were fresh. I came on a weekday afternoon and didn't have to wait plus there as plenty of tables. It's definitely a bit pricey for what it is.

This place is... fine and way too overpriced for what it is. It was $13 for mediocre froyo. Not a fan of the line (absolutely packed around 8 on a Thursday), the service (very inpatient), and they don't have their menu readily available as you're waiting in line, so when you get closeish to the counter they're rushing you. (ok yes could have pulled it up on my phone as we were in line, but it was SO crowded and overstimulating). Hard pass.

The frozen yogurt tastes pretty healthy, the mango flavor was fruity and tart. I liked the mochi and granola toppings. I want to go back to try the original flavor! The staff are kind. It's a small store with very little seating and usually long lines.

This place has been on my radar forever and I finally got to try it! Barely a line around 5:30 on a Friday but by the time we left, there was a line out the door. I got the original flavor and the banana cream pie. Both were delicious and so creamy. Toppings are $1.50 each or 3 for $3. I got the small (6oz) + 3 toppings and my total came out to just under $12. Quite steep for frozen yogurt however I will say it was the best frozen yogurt I've had. There are a handful of tables on the inside but turnover is pretty quick so it's not hard to find a seat.

Great frozen yogurt and it definitely says something that this place was packed even when we went on a day when it was freezing outside! Their flavors rotate every day (and sell out towards the end) so come earlier for the full variety. The original always hits with the tartness. I've also enjoyed their lychee, blueberry matcha, and I like to top with the strawberries. The texture is akin to soft serve. Seating is limited and we usually end up having to wait for someone to leave. You can also grab yesterdays pints at a discount from the fridge.

Service was great with sampling of the yogurts! The yogurt flavor Nutella tasted as if chocolate were tart, it was definitely something new to me! My favorite was the Pabana cocktail, this had less tartiness and tasted like a fruit smoothie. I'd say this is a good flavor for people who do not typically eat tart yogurt! Line was long during a Sunday evening, so maybe try to go on a weekday where it wouldn't be too busy!

Such a cute little shop in NYC that offers a healthy sweet treat, the gingerbread frozen yogurt parfait was so so good! Good service as well. I recommend adding the peppermint bark topping too, it is very yummy :)

Lives up to the hype. Delicious, fresh, and inventive frozen yogurt with excellent topping combinations. We went on a busy day so no samples were given, but staff was very efficient despite a very very long line. I waited maybe ~30 minutes in line on a hot day to get my yogurt. While I would say it was absolutely worth the wait, I'd probably skip the line next time if the wait is over ~20 minutes or so. I think they have order ahead, but it wasn't working when we went. Maybe only open on slower days?

Saw a line for this place on a rainy Saturday evening. Queue moves pretty quick though! While most froyo are super sweet, this tastes more like greek yogurt! Feels like a healthy dessert. If you're a fan of creamy, tart greek yogurt, the plain flavor is amazing. I personally liked the oreo flavor more as the chocolate was a nicer balance to the strong greek yogurt flavor of the froyo. There are a range of toppings but I chose to go without. Average price for a medium and you don't feel super guilty eating it!

Actually got the cherry pistachio which is not at all a typical order for me but I really liked! Butterfield is still my fave froyo in the city though.

The plain frozen yogurt was tart and on the watery, icy side. I was hoping it'd be creamier, and the flavor was what I'd like to call "healthy tasting." I was trying to eat healthier that day, but I should have tried some of the special toppings they're known for. On a Wednesday evening, there were a few open seats and just a few people in line.

It was tasty, but the more toppings you add, the less of each topping you get on the ice cream... There's a limit to how many toppings you can put on, so keep that in mind. If you add a bit of everything like I did, you have to eat the ice cream very carefully. The flavor is just the usual yogurt ice cream taste.

Delicious healthy yogurt - always a line but worth the wait. Service was great. Ambiance is simple, clean and organized. Flavors change daily. I like the original flavor- texture is perfect and no odd aftertaste. Enjoy!

I got the original no toppings and enjoyed it a lot! It's got a great balance of tart and I can tell it's Greek yogurt. When I left the store after finishing it, I had a creamy aftertaste in my mouth that I really liked. Whatever milk/cream they're using is really good!

The original is the best flavor, hands down. The unsweetened raspberry sent chills down my spine (in a bad way) and the blood orange just tasted like orange. In general, fun spot for fro yo, although no nostalgia feel since you don't get to do your own toppings. I'm not going out of my way to come here, but if I'm around and need "healthy" ice cream, sure.

Unsure why the hype is as intense as it is, but the frozen Greek yogurt is indeed delicious! I really like that they switch around flavors each night and offered unsweetened fruit flavors as well. The unsweetened mango frozen yogurt was deliciously tart, and I got with strawberry, honey, and their housemade granola, which was such a fantastic and refreshing combo. The Vermont maple combination is also delicious, and the maple syrup cuts some of the tartness of the original Greek yogurt flavor to make it not-too-tart. It feels really small inside because the line takes up a lot of space, but the staff were very sweet and efficient, which made it go by relatively quick for an establishment that does samples.

This place is fine. Not sure why it's SO hyped. Has literally the worst line and the taste of the froyo doesn't justify the line. It's nothing special and pretty expensive.

tried the Instagram acclaimed Culture - I love the tang of the creamy yogurt that showed it's truly frozen Greek yogurt made right there with real ingredients and not that over processed sugary mall type - I got the banana cream pie flavor, which is just objectively so fun. I love that they have rotating flavors that change every couple days so that if you see one you like you actually have more of a chance to try it - the first bite of the banana flavor was so delicious, at first you just were met with cold and creamy and then you got a kick of tang and then a strong after taste of banana. the more I ate it though the less the aftertaste was there, so it really seemed to lose its flavor. - it's a cute spot with a couple seats inside and you can tell it's good quality but it's pretty ridiculous that they charge a dollar more for their organic flavors. a place like that everything should be organic. I got the $6 small with one topping and ended up paying $9.80 before tipping....

A popular spot for froyo which lives up to the hype -- the Greek yoghurt base is perfectly tart and there's tons of fun toppings to pick from. I loved the Key Lime Pie, would totally come back to try others. It's a bit on the pricier side, but great to share and really hit the spot on a hot day.

Pricey? Yes. Crowded? Yes. But the froyo here is addicting. I love how fresh the toppings are, and how you get two layers of toppings in each cup. As others have said, the yogurt is tangy so you might not like it if you're not a fan of Greek yogurt. But if you go, I recommend getting the original yogurt with honey, homemade granola and fruit.

This place is so good, but wow pricey! I think this yogurt cost me $10, even though I got one flavor and two toppings. There's not much seating inside. The worker was nice and took our order. I got the original yogurt with strawberry sauce and mochi. The strawberry sauce was delicious! If Im ever in the area again Id come back, but seems expensive compared to other yogurt places.

I ordered their yuzu coconut flavor with oatmeal raisin cookies and mochi as my toppings. It was very lovely but the coconut flavor was a bit lacking. There's a bunch of flavors and toppings to choose from. They also give samples. There's a decent amount of seating and there are outlets

Best froyo in NYC. I tried the oreo and tart flavors. Both were amazing! Thick, creamy, refreshing, and not too heavy. I will definitely be returning to try more of the flavors!

Good froyo with lots of fun and unique flavors like ginger and banana and topping options. I like fresh fruits over mine. Sometimes there are long lines, but it goes relatively quickly. They have maybe 4-6 tables inside. Lots of students here. You can go to the McNally Jackson stationary next door too!

Stayed with my friend in NYC for a week. Constantly saw a huge line outside of this yogurt shop. I thought- holy shit this must be the best yogurt out there. Walked by on evening and heard a girl say "uhhh it's not even good" as she came out. This verbal review alone made me need to try this. Decided to stop by when there wasn't a line and I'll have to agree. It's not worth the hype or the wait. $10+ for the medium and I ate half of it. Even being lactose intolerant, I would still choose eating real ice cream and shitting my pants over this experience. Still 3 stars for the staff and yogurt shop. Maybe this is your thing, so still give it a try!

Went to culture for the first time today and it was quite delicious. I am a Pinkberry girly but this frozen yogurt tasted healthy and could easily eat more than the small size I got. I got the original flavor & it was creamy & tart-like & added oatmeal cookie and granola! I liked the oatmeal cookie more than the granola but there are so many topping choices that it was hard to pick! I didn't love the other flavor options today but I will absolutely go back and I like that they put the toppings on the bottom as well. I was a little confused with the menu but very good experience. Come to Willy b or Greenpoint plz!

This was a perfect stop after a very warm summer night and having dinner in the city. We got the vanilla yogurt with a few toppings, all of which were included in the same price. We ordered and the dessert came so quick. The staff was very friendly and let us sample some of the flavors before choosing the one we wanted.

Friendly staff with cute interior. I got the pineapple mango swirl with a chocolate sauce swirl. The chocolate sauce was great, but I wouldn't get it again with either of those flavors because I felt it slightly distracted from the complexity. I am definitely going again (both here and the Park Slope location). The small was big enough for me, but I wasn't very hungry. While I didn't try the original, it has a tartness comparable to Pinkberry but a more complex, interesting flavor profile overall.

Waited in line for this - and I think it's worth it!!! I got the original/plain froyo with honey. Sooo good, I think the plain flavor tastes really fresh and clean. Pairs well with the honey! I would come against next time in the area.

I got the plain with chocolate chips/sprinkles and it was a little underwhelming. Next time, I would try to get the raspberry topping (sold out) and add a different crunch. There are other frozen yogurt places in the city.

Worth the hype! We visited Culture on a Saturday evening and there was line out the door. However, it moved pretty quickly. The interior was small, with limited seating. There wasn't much decor either, besides the various signage/menu offerings. My sister and I both got small cups of the Original frozen yogurt. I chose Key Lime Pie topping for mine, and she opted for Blueberry Pie. Both were amazing! The Key Lime Pie had custard on the bottom, and was deliciously tart. The Blueberry Pie was topped with big chunks of pie crust and blueberry preserves. The small cups were the perfect portion size for both of us. Overall, a tasty after-dinner treat!

This is such a good spot for a "healthy" sweet treat. I got the brownie sundae. The frozen yogurt was a bit too tangy for my liking, but the brownie had a great texture and flavor. I would definitely come back and try more combinations.

I love their frozen yogurt--it has a yogurt-y undertone that takes me back to the first time I ever had frozen yogurt in 1978. It was peach and had retained the tanginess of yogurt, before frozen yogurt became overly sweet. Love! I always go when visiting NY. It can get busy but the line moves, the staff are nice too.

Love the flavor of the original frozen yogurt! It's nice and tangy, which goes perfectly with any fruit combo, especially the strawberry balsamic. This place is perfect if you want a sweet treat that's still light and refreshing. It is a bit pricy for what you get (~$9 for a small with topping), but the ingredients seem fresh and high quality.

Love the comeback that froyo is having! My favorite flavor is the original. I haven't really tried any of the other flavors. I wish they had a few more classic mainstream topppings such as M&Ms and Gummy candy lol...yes I am very basic. It's a good snack or lunch/dinner replacement.

This place is very overrated. The line was pretty long, the yogurt was just okay, and the worker that helped us on the evening of 10/19 was so RUDE. She acted like she really didn't want to be there and like we were annoying her by ordering, to the point where the people behind us also noticed and commented. Even if I had enjoyed the yogurt, the appalling customer service would have ruined it.
