A Hill institution since 1974 with heaping bowls of pasta, Sunday lasagna, and a no‑reservations ritual. Readers crowned its toasted ravioli in a recent St. Louis Magazine Food Fight, underscoring its lasting pull.

Best food ever. Service could be better but worth the issues. There was a busser who made sure to take care of us and he was fantastic.

The food was phenomenal. I have had Italian food countless times, so when someone recommended this place for “good pasta,” my eyes glazed over, but we ended up going anyway. The wait times were long; first, you wait to be seated, then you wait for the food. Our combined wait time was 65 minutes — on a Tuesday night. The longer we waited, the higher my expectations grew. At one point I caught my myself muttering, “the pasta better be damn good.” And it was! It absolutely lived up to its hype. The meal was hot, tasty and sumptuous. There were five of us. We all ordered differently. I got to try a couple bites from my wife’s plate. The pasta she ordered had excellent flavor. I couldn’t decide if I liked her pasta more, or mine. If you even mildly like pasta and have the patience to wait, then you should make every effort to go here.

Wish it was as good as it use to be. My last two visits were mid, and others have said the same. I hope they step it back up. This is a stl Gem. Service was great

We’ve been coming here since 2018 and it has always been so packed and we always had a great time. Welp not tonight, Friday night and it’s surprisingly empty. There were 5 tables including us, our waitress barely came. She forgot our salad and blamed it on the expo. She’s not very attentive, not apologetic for the mistake. We were also her only table on the whole floor. Tiramisu was not a tiramisu, wasn’t soaked and it’s more like a cake. This place usually box the leftover for you. This time, they give us a box to box it up ourselves but they box it up for the table next to us. Not a big deal, but maybe teach your staffs to be consistent throughout the whole night? We love this place so much and now it’s kinda sad to see it’s becoming like this.

Spaghetti Primavera was delicious. Margaritas are strong. Wasn't a fan of the butter garlic calamari it had a bad smell to it

I will start by saying WOW! I have now found my new favorite Italian restaurant. Not only is the food outstanding and loaded with flavor but the helpings are huge. Service was excellent and they brought out warm bread too. They opened at 4 pm and there was already a long line. Every single person in our party was completely satisfied with their meal. The Minestrone soup may be quite possibly the best I have ever eaten. The key to the meals here are the perfect combination and balance of flavors. They have perfected the Italian meal over here in the USA. Next time I am in St. Louis I will be visiting this restaurant again! YUM!

This was my first visit to Cunetto's and all of us agreed we would not be back. I ordered the Cannelloni Frutti di Mare (seafood stuffed canneloni). It came out flat with a mushy filling and the canneloni were so overcooked they fell apart. There was so much parmesean stuck to the top I had to scrape it off...and it came off it a big hard piece! It was supposed to have a cream sauce and it had none. We sent it back to have the sauce added and it came back with the "sauce"... a thick, gloppy mess! We thought it was melted mozzerella, that's how gloppy it was. The plate was "sizzlling" from sitting in the over for so long. The noodles were browned. When I told the server it was unacceptable she was so rude and said "well, that's the way it's supposed to look. I'll just tell them you didn't like it". Then she walked away with a huff. It's the first time in my entire life (I'm 60) that I've sent something back and asked for it to be removed from the bill. It was unedible at best. My friends expensive steak was so tough and grissly he was unable to eat some of it. He could barely cut through it! So disappointing....seriously disappointing. The server we had was non-existant for us. We had a busser that was great...she made the rounds, etc. None of us were ever offered drink refills and my sister never even had ice in her cup. There was a table of 7 sitting next to us who had excellent service, offered refills of drinks numerous times, they were brought things while we waited for everything. It was obvious she was their main focus for the bigger tip. So disappointed in our $120 meal.

Came in on an evening and didn’t have to wait too long, we were able to get drinks at the bar whilst waiting. Staff were all friendly and the food that had was some of the best pasta ever. The portions were massive and the breads were delicious. Felt like old school dining and cannot wait to come back. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This is probably the best authentic Italian food I've ever had in the United States. The restaurant is lovely with its dark toned dining room and dim lighting. The staff were friendly. I couldn't ask for more from a restaurant. We gobbled our food down and I forgot to take pictures ! I have the tortellini Bianco. It is perfect.

Yelp
Love this place, we take home more food then we eat and the price can't be beat. Great family run restaurant.

Mike R.

Yelp
I've never understood the hype for this place. Yes it's an institution, but the food is just OK. They have huge portions, but there isn't much on the menu except pasta. Went on 7/26/25 and the AC wasn't working properly, it was hot in the dining room. Plus the place could use a good update. You can tell they've never put money into the decor or any renovations since the 80's.

Yelp
This old family run restaurant on the famous Hill in St. Louis is a true gem if you are wanting some authentic Italian food! We've been going here for years and have always been super pleased with our food & service. Tonight we started with Toasted Ravioli. I'm not sure what Cunneto's does, but the meat in their ravioli tastes so much better than any other toasted ravioli I have ever had. Next we had a salad which was delicious, as always. We also had Fettuccini alla Cunetto & Linguini con Asparagi. The fettuccini was tasty with a rich creamy Alfredo sauce and the linguini with asparagus and mushroom in its creamy white butter sauce was simply outstanding. If you are a lover of asparagus and mushrooms, you must try this! The pasta portions are HUGE, so you will probably end up taking some home!

Yelp
After all these years I don't think this place has the same quality anymore as it surely used to be... half the dining room closed due to no employees! Food wasn't nearly as good either... used to be my fav...sadly no more!

Yelp
We were really torn on which Italian restaurant to visit in St. Louis. While having breakfast with a friend, he recommended Cunetto's and raved about their red sauce. After reading some reviews and the fact they don't take reservations (a good sign), we decided to go shortly after they opened since we were going on a Saturday night. We got there about 15-20 minutes after the doors opened and were lucky enough to be seated right away. Had we arrived 5-10 minutes later, we would've had to wait for a table. The ambiance is that of an old Italian family restaurant. The lighting in the dining room is dark and the decor is dark tones all around. A brighter setting would be more inviting given families and friends come here to break bread. The menu is pretty extensive, so check it out online before arriving. For an appetizer we had the cheesy garlic bread, which was fantastic. The bread was warm and soft, not crunchy like other garlic bread. For my entree I had the Fettuccine Carbonara, which was rich and decadent. The portions are quite large, so come hungry or pace yourself. My husband had the Cotoletta alla Bolognese, which was breaded veal with an absolutely delicious red sauce. The sauce was probably some of the best I've ever had. His veal was served with a side of spaghetti (the sauce tasted a little different and wasn't as good as the one that came with the veal). Overall, service was good despite our waitress having too many tables. Portions and prices were good and I'm really happy with went with our friend's recommendation. Also, they serve you a basket of bread (wish the butter it comes with was room temperature so it would be easier to spread). Pro tip: get there early!

Yelp
Good pasta place with a variety of plates to choose from. Recommend for anyone craving a large bowl of carbonara or pasta with red sauce. Friendly staff and quick to taking our order. Waited about 20 minutes for a table but took a seat at the bar/waiting area and helped ourselves to a glass of wine while we waited. There is a parking lot out front and plenty of street parking too.

Yelp
Honestly, I can only say two good things about this restaurant. One is that our server was very good. The other is that the t-ravs were really tasty. In my party of six people, I don't think a single one of us actually ate our meal or particularly enjoyed it. And one friend, who had the veal, said it was so tough it couldn't be cut with a knife and the sauce, he said, tasted like "red wine and dishwater." My own meal, the cheese ravioli, had such a strange red sauce. It was sort of like a canned sauce that seemed to have been watered down. It was super thin.

Yelp
I can't believe I've never had cunettos before! It was SO delicious. Like one of the top Italian food I've ever had. We only had to wait for about 15 minutes and the host was super nice. I like how they have the bar area set up as a waiting room with tables you can stand at. We got calamari and toasted ravioli and the calamari was nothing too special but the toasted ravioli was good. I got a house salad which was so good! It has lots of flavor. I got spaghetti with marinara and it was delicious and you get so much food! Service was great and they will box your food for you. I'd for sure come back, everything was so delicious.

Yelp
We have been going to Cunetto's for over 20 years. It has always been our favorite restaurant on "The Hill" My husband and I decided to go to dinner Saturday night around 8pm. Oddly enough the parking lot was empty and we thought maybe they had closed early. We walked in to an empty bar area and about 5 tables in the dining room. We were greeted by a server that was definitely not the warm friendly type that we have experienced in the past. We always love the salad and it was not chopped and loaded with bagged croutons. Our entrees the filet of sole with crabmeat and the tortellini were sub par. My fish was cold but didn't want to send it back. My husband's tortellini was average. The Italian bread is always a favorite and it was stale. Upon using the bathroom I was shocked. The first toilet stall was full and would not flush. The other stall had a toilet seat that had missing paint. There was also missing tile on the floor. Upon washing my hands there was no paper towels to dry my hands. Overall, our visit was definitely not what it use to be. This restaurant was a gem back in the day. Very disappointed in the quality. Not the Cunetto's experience we were used to.

Yelp
Very good and very affordable food. I believe Cunetto is known for having great relatively cheap Italian food. The food was delicious. The bread was great. I wish the butter was warm to spread on easier. But overall the food is very well done, no complaints and generous portions. The service was fine. Our waiter was really good. She had an incident at another table that could've really rattled her but she did well. It did take a while to get our check. I believe they've gone to dinner only due to staffing issues. But no real complaints with the service. The ambiance is that of a dark old school Italian restaurant. The restaurant needs a facelift and little work. We were seated by the wall and the wallpaper was peeling badly. It doesn't ruin the meal but very noticeable. Of course we would return because the food is great and we love supporting City restaurants.

Yelp
We decided to stop at Cunetto's after a celebration of life in Columbia MO. It was long and strenuous day and decided to end it with a good meal. The house of pasta is typically busy but especially on a Saturday with a shortage of wait staff maybe even a water pipe bursting shutting off part of the dining room. Our wait was an hour, to be expected on a busy Saturday. The wait did not bother us. I ordered 2 Jack Daniel's on the rocks for my wife and I. Oddly the bartender added a spritz of water to the drinks. Not what we ordered exactly but it was still Jack Daniel's. Finally our table was ready. We both ordered the house salad and Tortellini Bianco. This pasta is a staple on their menu with peas, mushrooms and procuito in a cream sauce is delightful with a great mouth feel. To complement the meal we had the house red and little dry but close to a chianti. We like the house red but the chianti was a close second. The service was good being short handed and the atmosphere was pleasant a little loud but definitely not a show stopper. It is the oldest Italian restaurant on the Hill. The Hill is the small Italian neighborhood in South St.. Louis with many Italian restaurants and bakeries. Experience soon.

Yelp
I've heard about Cunetto's my whole St. Louis life but for some reason I had never been until last weekend. My husband and I went for our anniversary and it was absolutely delicious! Toasted ravioli were light and fluffy and not chewy (so not previously frozen!), the cheese garlic bread was delicious and toasty, and the pasta was absolutely delicious and perfectly al denté. Monica, our server, answered all 800 of our questions and kept the Diet Coke flowing despite it being VERY busy. The portions are also HUGE and the prices are so, so reasonable too. I got about 3 meals out of my entree -- always a win! We will be back for sure.

Yelp
Fantastic place! I'm so glad I was able to go. This was highly recommended from a special someone and we went. We came at the perfect time as there was no wait but as soon as we were seated a lot more people came in. We started off with calamari and it was flavorful. I was told I needed to get the Fettuccine Carbonara. It was the best pasta I've had in a very long time. It was so creamy and flavorful with prosciutto. It was really good the next day as leftovers too. The service was quick. It is loud in here. I can't wait to go back when I'm back in town.

Yelp
I have been dining at Cunetto's since 1983 and was one of my favorite Saint Louis restaurants. I had my last meal this evening. I ordered cavatelli with olive oil, butter, garlic with broccoli. It was absolutely disgusting. It was salty and the broccoli was inedible. My son ordered pasta primavera and it looked like it came out of the microwave. The service was awful. The clientele now reflects the poor service and cuisine. It is sad to a once great restaurant decline into this state. Don't waste your time or money with Cunetto's. It appears that ownership has given up.

Yelp
Giant bowls of pasta and toasted ravioli all set within a neighborhood with Italian bakeries, delis, and restaurants... It's gotta be good. The prices here are fantastic and the service is warm. They really make you feel like you are part of the family.
google avatar

Yelp
Parking was a little tight on the Hill. This place doesn't do reservations, we waited about 35 minutes , but they have a nice old school bar area by the hostess stand where you can get drinks prior. I got the cavatelli con pomodoro, we split a side salad and got additional cheese garlic bread- however they also give you bread at the start of the meal! Overall good food, the service was a little slow and we had a long wait.. we also finished off with some cheese cake! Old school Italian dining room.

Yelp
Calamari appetizers were good but could have been a tad less chewy The filet of soul was good really good and the pasta just right great waiters fast service we will return. Nice atmosphere street parking

Yelp
Food is amazing. In 20 years of going to the Hill we have never been disappointed with the food. The same Restaurant Maitre D has greeted us each visit. There was a new addition at the door that did not align with the Cunetto experience. A teenage boy and girl at the host desk with their feet up entrenched in a private conversation that seemed to be interrupted by guests coming in the door. Cunetto's has been so impressive over the two decades, I can ignore being snubbed by the odd hair colored teenagers sitting at the entrance. The rest of the staff lined up perfectly with a great Italian expression.

Yelp
The food is ALWAYS fantastic and comes out fresh every time. They don't take reservations so it is smart to get their early but the wait is never too terribly long and the servers and managers are so sweet. The management is the reason we keep coming back and it is such a St. Louis staple I would recommend this place to anyone!

R B.

Yelp
I love all their pastas with cream sauces and the toasted ravioli! The value and portions are huge! We have always had friendly and attentive servers too! Yes the wait can be long at certain times/days, but we go on weekdays instead.
google avatar

Alex F.

Yelp
The butter was almost frozen, but the bread is standard Italian. The salad was really good. The Petto di Pollo alla Cologero. It was pretty good, but I failed to see the "with a hint of marinara sauce" on the menu. I'd order something else next time.
google avatar

Katie S.

Yelp
Food was delicious! The fettuccine carbonara I would order again. Disappointed they were out of tiramisu.

Andrea F.

Yelp
The food was outstanding !!Great family atmosphere .. the only on The Hill opened on Sunday . Thank you Frank!

Yelp
First time at Cunettos. Solid pasta on the Hill. Great friendly efficient service. Wasn't too busy on a Wednesday night. Went with my go to Veal Parm for a first visit and wife spaghetti primavera. Both were large portions enough that we took home a second meal. Too much sauce on both I like cheese and missed more parm on mine the wife's spaghetti was delicious but almost soupy. We will go back. Very Good place!

em w.

Yelp
the calamari was just fried batter and the fettuccini sauce was worse than mediocre. but the server was nice and the food came out quick (but is that bad?) the free bread was cold and refrigerated which is all you need to know
google avatar

Whitney H.

Yelp
I have been coming here with my family since I can remember. I have yet to try something that I do not like. Their white and red sauces are so good and homemade! I typically get their shrimp scampi. They have gluten free options for pasta, which is nice. They are reasonably priced and the food is of high quality. It is family owned and you can tell that they really care. They do not take reservations so I would recommend getting there early. They do have a bar in the waiting lounge so that definitely helps while you are waiting for your table! There are two parking lots and street parking available.

Nick B.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem. Old world Italian charm and amazing food is all I can say. If you're heading to the hill give Cuenetto's a try you won't be disappointed. Da best!

Yelp
I spent a fast four nights in St. Louis to visit my wife's family. We went to see the Cardinals game in the hot blazing sun of an unseasonably hot May day. After the shuttle dropped us of at the St. Louis Athletic Club, where we had a few cocktails, we drove to the Hill to eat dinner at Cunetto House of Pasta. I had studied the menu online and could think of nothing else most of the day. When we got to the restaurant, we were told we had a 45 minute wait. I went to the restroom, came back to the bar, and started to order a beer just as a host came and told us our table was ready. I think our wait was more like 15 minutes. We were led to a large classy dining room that made me feel that I just might have traveled back in time. The smells in the room were amazing, as they should be in a decent Italian restaurant. I opened the menu and looked at all the wonderful choices, but came back to the one I had picked while looking at the menu online: Cannelloni Frutti di Mare. As I waited in anticipation of my meal, I enjoyed the appetizers that the family had ordered: toasted ravioli and calamari. They came with slightly different sauces which were equally delicious. I also ate a piece of the bread that they gave us. I have to say it was rather disappointing. It was just a thin and dry piece of plain old white bread. My brother-in-law ordered two bottles of wine with the meal. He is really into wine, so I know he picked good ones. Forgive me for not knowing the names. In all honesty, I can't tell one wine from another. One of the bottles was a very tasty red. I drank that one, since I am more of a red wine drinker. It was very nice and had that oakiness from the wine cask that I really enjoy. The other was a white wine. I took a sip of my wife's glass, and it was also very good. We had a house salad before the meals came, as well. It was really good. Everything was super fresh and the dressing was very refreshing. I finished mine just in time. The server took my salad plate with one hand and put a huge oval plate with my cannelloni in front of me with her other. The cannelloni was very good. I really liked the cream sauce. It was absolutely delicious and saturated with the flavor of the mushrooms that were sliced into it. As flavorful as it was, it did not drown out the taste of the seafood treasures hidden inside the pasta. I ate every bit of it, even though I was starting to feel pretty full. My sister-in-law had the same meal and took half home for lunch the next day. Oh well... Little Jimmie likes his food! I really can't wait to visit St. Louis and eat at Cunetto's again. I know some of you will hate on me for saying it, but I LOVE veal. They have SEVEN different veal dishes on their menu, and not one of them was tired old veal parmigiana! The service was top notch, the food was great, the atmosphere was old-style classic and classy Italian. I would have rated it a five, if it had decent bread to start the meal. But, at least they didn't serve those God-awful bread sticks everyone else seems to like at that chain restaurant with garden in its name.

Yelp
Always a wonderful dining experience at Cunetto's. They don't take reservations, so we arrived as they opened at 4:45. Didn't want to be late for later evening performance. My goodness, within 15 minutes the dining room was packed, with a good many folks waiting at the bar. Absolutely top notch service from Vince! We each thoroughly enjoyed their signature salads, and split an order of Tuto Mare, still too much food for us to finish. Had to save room for complimentary birthday cheesecake...so good!

TS R.

Yelp
Still our favorite after 20 years. Food as wer as service and love the nostalgic dining room.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
Great service, great food, reasonable prices on The Hill. Showing up right as they open on Saturdays helps you avoid the wait if you've got a larger group.

Yelp
My 11-year old son said "you better give this place 5 stars!" Well I did, not because he said that, but because I agree with him :) Some things to note: - they don't take reservations - they have a bar you can wait in (we waited outside though) - the portions are BIG! We started with the fried ravioli and was hooked from there. Our host and waitress were great. So was everyone else we talked with how worked there. The food was amazing. We had to bring a good amount back - dinner tomorrow is served! Going to be near The Hill ? Then be here!

Brandon M.

Yelp
I have always enjoyed Cunetto's. I live in Ga now and when I come up, I always go to Cunetto's. Sadly, most recent visit ended that after seeing a large wolf rat running inside the dinning area. There was NO response from the MGMT or any offerings to comp our meal. The rat was spotted several times and while a few employees attempted to catch it, the rat remained loose the whole time. I found the lack of sense of urgency from MGMT to be concerning. I'm sure other patrons felt the same as many left afterwards. Hope they get this cleaned up and revise the response procedures when these things happen.

Yelp
Best authentic Italian in town. We could never get enough of this must go to Italian restaurant in Saint Louis. It is better than the Italian I had all over Italy. Cunnettoes will always be in my heart.

Kara S.

Yelp
Cunetto's has been a family tradition for a long time, so some of my love for it is nostalgia. But even as I have moved away from St. Louis, I always find my way back here. Their food is so good and authentic. The tortellini bianca has been a favorite of mine for a long time, but the whole meal is good from start to finish. As a pharmacist myself, I appreciate their history and that it is stayed in the family for so long. You can't go wrong with anything here!
google avatar

Kyle C.

Yelp
The setting was very warm & inviting. It gave that rustic Italian vibe. The service was very fast and attentive. Noticed our table was the only table told there wasn't any specials that evening(as if we couldn't afford the meal). The food itself was not that good, I've had better from Olive Garden. The pasta was over cooked, no flavor or spices added, and vegetables were over cooked as well. The garlic cheese bread is the only reason this isn't a 2, it was really good! I don't see myself patronizing this location if I'm ever in town visiting.

Brian B.

Yelp
I have been going to this restaurant for almost 30 years , albeit just a couple of times a year . I Have Become friends with the owner Frank who is an amazing owner and Chef , his wife and family all work there . I live my life by three words , consistency breeds credibility, with that being said , I have never ever had a bad meal here, every time I order the same item it always tastes exactly the same and is always cooked perfectly . The bartenders are amazing , especially Kevin , who every time I walk in the door even though I come only once or twice a year he already knows what I'm drinking and makes it without even asking me . Julie the waitress has waited on me more times than I can count and she is just sweet and amazing! I won't even go to another Italian restaurant on the hill because this one has treated me like family since the beginning . I will never go anywhere else , I love this place and completely recommend it!!! Keep up the great work ! I am a true fan of this place !

Yelp
Cunetto's was incredible! Easily some of the best Italian food we've ever eaten. Everything was made to perfection, and the sauce and spice combinations were so rich. The Toasted Raviolis were amazing as were the Tortellini alla Bolognese, Bucatini alla Bolognese, and Spaghetti and Meatballs. Everything was an incredible hit including the atmosphere and our server. 10/10 one of the culinary icons of STL in every way!
google avatar

Suzee Q.

Yelp
Service was friendly. Food was ok. Portion sizes were generous. Our party of six had a nice assortment of things: toasted (beef) ravioli (so the vegetarian could not partake), eggplant fritti, tortellini soup, pasta fagioli soup, fettucine with chicken, spaghetti with meatballs, spaghetti Genovese, and linguine Pavorotti. Surprisingly, no lasagna on the menu! The experience was really nothing special so we likely won't be returning.

Yelp
It's like you were invite to a friends house but they live in a steak house and then you have delish Italian feast. The tiramisu slapped.

Yelp
I was in town for an event at The Fox, and since it was dark, I decided to drive around The Hill to look at all of the Christmas light displays. I also wanted to have supper on The Hill, and Cunetto's was open. As soon as I walked through the door, I was greeted with the aroma of garlic bread and knew I had made a good decision! There was a short wait, but I was soon walked to my table and my evening of culinary delight began. I ordered an Antipasto platter to share with my companion as an appetizer which comes with plenty of meat and cheese for two along with some olives and peppers. The cheese was amazing! We also ordered a Gamberi Shrimp dish which was incredibly tasty and very warming with its spicy flavors on this chilly December evening. The Tutto Mare, which seems to be a favorite from other reviews, was my choice for the evening. I love seafood, and this dish does not disappoint. The portions are huge, and I had enough to bring home for leftovers. The other entree at the table was the Ravioli Formaggio which was also super tasty. My two regrets are that I did not have enough room for dessert and coffee, and that I did not have a glass of wine to complement my entree. The service from start to finish was outstanding, and the table never lacked for anything. The dishes were reasonably paced allowing us to enjoy and finish one course before proceeding to the next. My soul was warmed and my stomach was filled, and I look forward to the next time I am able to visit Cunetto House of Pasta...in my opinion one of the best places to eat on The Hill.

Yelp
There's a reason why I'm willing to wait 45 minutes on a weeknight for a table. Yes, it's that good. Frank Cunetto's Linguine Tutto Mare is arguably the best entree in all St. Louis. (I'd hate to have to choose between it and the veal Marsala at Lorenzo's.) The Fettuccine Putanesca packs amazing flavor into a meatless pasta (but it was even better when Frank served it with green spinach noodles). This is the quintessential St Louis restaurant. Simple, well executed, reasonable and GOOD. And now I'll have to wait an hour for a table.

Yelp
When nice restaurants choose to not take reservations, they can overload the staff and kitchen. This shows in this restaurant. After being seated, servers ran around frantically filling water glasses and taking any appetizer orders. We were given a wine menu that took quite a while to get. I understand they are suffering a labor shortage but it would help tremendously to allow reservations. Food generally is good. The veal dish we ordered was not hot and probably was not served until other dishes we ordered were ready. Calamari was very good. Our server was very pleasant and as efficient as they could be under that kind of pressure and frantic start of their day.

Yelp
I took my wife out for Italian food on a Saturday night. We had to wait a little while to get seated because the establishment was busy when we arrived. We were hungry when our table was finally ready. We placed an order, and we weren't let down when our meals came. We ate linguini tuto mare, calamari, tortellini bianco, and chicken cardinale. Excellent cuisine, first-rate service, and extremely affordable prices. Thanks for a wonderful evening out Cunetto House of Pasta!

Yelp
Just ate at Cunetto's tonight 2/4/24 and after we were finishing (thank God) a HUGE rat scurried around the dining room among the tables. The 5 of us in our party moved quickly out to the bar area trying to tell anyone who "worked" there about it. NO EMPLOYEE seemed to care OR be surprised. Won't be back!!

Yelp
Best Food and Value, not only on The Hill, but in all of STL! I could list a few of their best offerings, but I wouldn't know where to start, or end. You literally can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Yelp
Excellent experience! Mr. Cunetto seated us and was very welcoming. Our server Julie was excellent and friendly. We throughly enjoyed the toasted raviolis and garlic cheese bread for appetizers. My son had the spaghetti and meatballs. My wife and I split the house salad and chicken Parmesan. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and can't wait to get back up there.

Yelp
If you're on The Hill, Cunetto's is a perfect choice for authentic, family-made Italian food. My friends and I had dinner there last month, and it was an EXCELLENT meal and a wonderful evening! The restaurant was started by two brothers in the back of a pharmacy and moved to its own building in the 1970s. It's always been family-owned and operated. Like most other restaurants on The Hill, they don't take reservations, but when we visited on a Sunday night, we did not wait more than 15 minutes for a table even though the restaurant was almost completely full. The entire staff is made up of lovely people! Nathan was our waiter and was extremely accommodating; he was friendly, efficient, and assisted us as we navigated the menu for the first time. We liked the hostess and associate server as well. We all started with the Insalada Cunetto, which was very tasty and topped with an excellent house dressing. Just be sure to ask for the dressing on the side, as they are generous with their application of it. All our meals were served in generous portions! We all had leftovers (as did most people leaving the restaurant). I had the Cannelloni Tutti de Mare, which was DELECTABLE; my friends had the Linguini Tutto Mare and the Lasagna (which was the evening's special). I was able to sample both, and they were delicious! It's impossible to fully describe well-made Italian food, so I won't try. Just know that, for any lasagna, linguini, and cannelloni you might have had in the past that was wonderful, the offerings at Cunetto's will be even BETTER! The nicest part of the evening was the pace. No one was rushing, and no one seemed to be in a hurry for us to leave. It was lovely, to linger over our shared dessert of tiramisu (which was simply FABULOUS) and savor all the flavors of our meals in truly beautiful surroundings. Again, if you're looking for authentic, excellent Italian food with recipes that have been handed down through the generations, you'll find your best meal at Cunetto's. We certainly did!
