Cupcakin' Bake Shop - Review - Midtown - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"The Colony Square development, including the Politan Row food hall, has more food options than an all you can eat buffet. The only thing missing was a baked dessert spot offering sweet treats to cap off a meal. Cupcakin’ Bake Shop is filling that void with a variety of cupcake flavors like red velvet, cookies and cream (topped with an Oreo), and vanilla salted caramel. Standard size and mini cupcakes with decorative swirls of icing stand at the ready atop cake pedestals inside this bake shop. And one bite into the spongy interior reveals a Willy Wonka-like burst of sweetness that goes just to the edge and stops before hitting unpalatable. Certain cupcakes (like the key lime pie) feature additional fun like a firm and tasty graham cracker crust at the bottom." - Juli Horsford

My cupcake look good. I ordered a salty caramel chocolate cupcake. I didn’t like the buttercream on top too salty and the caramel you can barely felt it. The chocolate cake taste like box flour. I would recommend a buttercream with creamcheese and decorate with salty flakes and caramel and the cupcake filled with the caramel. Definelly, I love the service 10/10 if you want to be well treated I recommend it.

Picked up a dozen cupcakes from here for a friend's birthday party, and they were a total hit! I selected a mix of flavors, and we sampled most of them during the celebration — every single one was delicious. Super moist, full of flavor, and beautifully decorated. Everyone at the party had glowing reviews. Perfect for gifting or bringing to an event. Definitely a great stop for last-minute sweet treats or special occasions. The only minor downside was parking, though that could’ve just been me being unfamiliar with the area. Also, the cupcakes are a little on the pricey side, but the quality makes them worth it. Highly recommend if you're looking for something impressive and indulgent!

Cupcakes were amazing, very soft and creamy! I ordered 4 - lemon, berries, chocolate and vanilla. All were delicious. The atmosphere is great and service was good. 5 stars

I used to order these cupcakes for basically every event and on any random day from the Berkeley location. Since moving away, I have missed them. I’m happy that there is one in Atlanta and was able to pick up a couple boxes, while coming back from a business trip. I was a little surprised that the cupcakes are a little drier than what I am used to at the Berkeley location. Flavor wise, everything is still very good and not too sweet. But I just couldn’t get over the fact that they aren’t as moist. I did hype them up to be one of the best and most moist cupcakes ever, so I was a little disappointed that they were a little drier 😞 maybe it was an off day.

The best cupcakes can be found at Cupcakin’ Bake Shop—it’s my go-to Tuesday treat, and I always end up getting my favorite, the carrot cupcake. The service is consistently friendly, with a great team of young, welcoming staff. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad experience there. With yoga season kicking in soon, this will become my Wednesday treat after my session at Colony Square. If you’re into cupcakes, this place is a must-try. They offer a wide variety of flavors, and I promise you won’t be disappointed! Cheers, BN

This is a cute little cupcake shop. Looked very clean and presentable. The young lady who helped us was very knowledgeable and told us all about the various flavors. My favorite was the Peach Cobbler cupcake. The frosty was light and not too sweet. The cake had the spices you would find in peach cobbler and the peach filling gave it that extra pizzazz! My husband loved the red velvet which isn't in the picture. He said the cake was moist and the frosting was light and fluffy. My least favorite was the Tiramisu. The cake was dry and had no flavor, although it was dipped in espresso. The frosting was delicious and the custard inside was just okay.

We stumbled across Cupcakin’ Bake Shop while killing time at Colony Square and boy are we glad we did. The cupcakes were great and the peach cobbler cupcake had an incredible filling. The vegan cookies and cream cupcake also had a cookie at the bottom which was exactly what gave it a well-earned 5 stars!

I love going to the bakery in the fall to try the seasonal flavors. I wasn’t a big fan of the icing but the cupcake I enjoyed. It was very flavorful and moist. It is like a pumpkin bread that doesn’t need icing.
