Cuq en Terrasses

Great B&B and restaurant! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There are many places to see all within a 2 hour range so this was a good base for us. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Restaurant is excellent. Very talented young chef!

We had such a special few days here. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome. This place has such beautiful charm. From the gardens (and the little spots around the grounds to relax and enjoy the views) to the pool and the room itself. We took the room with the private balcony and bath. It was perfect for us. Such a special house and design. The food was stunning. I felt so looked after as a vegan - and my partner enjoyed the full menu. Elegant, subtle and sophisticated. We enjoyed learning that so much of the dish was picked metres away in the garden. The team really knows what they’re doing. Such a relaxing and special place. We felt so looked after by Charline, Bastian and the whole team with just the right amount of kindness, friendliness and privacy.

I have eaten here on many occasions and have yet to be disappointed. The food and service are exceptional. Andonis the chef often creates little master pieces of taste and presentation. The restaurant setting is amazing - its a perfect place for a sunset on a warm summers night - one of my favorite restaurants in the world.

Cuq en Terrace is simply delightful. From the stunning views of this part of France which is full of rolling hills (they call it the Tuscany of France) with the most incredible sunsets from the terrace and panoramic restaurant windows, to the impeccable service and extraordinary cuisine. I cannot think of a better restaurant in France - and I’ve been to a few! The gardens and the pool are utterly delightful, as are the owners, Phillippe and Andonis. Highly, highly recommend ❤️

Wow!! I could just leave that as a one word review for our overnight stay at Cuq en Terrasses, that one word summarises everything perfectly. But going into a little more detail… our accommodation was La Tour and it was a fantastic apartment. Plenty of room for the two of us and our two dogs. The bed was extremely comfortable. We had seen reviews that the food would be really good, but it was absolutely amazing. We chose the tasting menu and every one of the seven courses was purely delightful. The selection of wines was fantastic, as was the aperitif that we had, Armagnac, sparkling wine and orange liqueur, will definitely try to recreate that when we get home. The service was also top notch, all the staff that we met were lovely and Philippe and Andonis were amazing hosts. Our one night here could well be the highlight of our three week trip around France, we will definitely return.

Our yearly visit for a celebration and the hotel and food were yet again flying the flag for very high standards.|The few rooms are quirky but function well, the shutters are easy and the bed v comfortable.|The hosts now wait on table and the team in the kitchen deliver beautiful food under Adonis' guidance. |Cannot praise it high enough, thanks for making our annual trip so special.|Ps breakfast selection is great to!

We chose the Cuq en Terrasses for a bit of R and R after our wedding in Ambres, and it was a great decision! This is a lovely, small family run hotel/restaurant which provides a very high quality of hospitality at very reasonable prices. We stayed in one of the suites which is a splendid and spacious room with a lovely little terrace overlooking the view across the valley. There is an incredibly personal touch at the Cuq en Terrasses, the joint owners are always on hand to welcome you or help with anything you may need. They are also highly international and speak multiple languages perfectly (not always a given for the region!) There are a lot of great recommendations for things to do in the local area within the guestbooks in the lounge area, and at the same time it's also a great little place to relax during the daytime in the summer months with a well maintained garden and pool area (it should be noted that the pool was quite chilly!) ||||Dinners in the Cuq en Terrasses restaurant are truly excellent, with a quality of cuisine aligned with high end restaurants & a wine list which focuses on local produce rather than big producers from other well known regions within France. Dishes are innovative, and although the menu is fairly small, we greatly enjoyed dining there on two of the evenings. We also made the most of the spa facility, using the jacuzzi/sauna privately on one of the evenings, which is a nice additional option if you're looking for that kind of experience. The house itself is charming and historical, maintained brilliantly with plenty of character. The surrounding area is a little remote, so I'd certainly recommend having a car if you are planning a visit as there's not much of note accessible by foot. We will gladly return in the future and just want to say once again a huge thank you to Philippe and the entire team for an excellent stay, just what we needed after a busy wedding week previously!

We have just had two nights in beautiful Cuq en Terrasses. Our room was fabulous and the decor just wonderful. We thank our friends the Quinns for introducing us to this place and we will definitely return. We booked the evening meal and each night sat in a beautiful spot and ate delicious food, lovely cocktails and great wine. They happily produced vegan meals for me and they were delicious. It was just what we needed and we loved it. Thanks to Adonis and Philippe for their hospitality, see you again soon we hope.
