Downtown La Mesa Gains a Gastropub - Eater San Diego

"Curbside Eatery & Drinkery has opened on a prime corner of La Mesa’s downtown district. Ringed with garage-style windows, the gastropub gets its name from the curbside patio that wraps around the building; the 2,200-square-foot restaurant and bar is currently serving dinner starting at 4 p.m. but will commence lunch service on Friday, October 12. Managing partner Jonathan Baron is a La Mesa native and lives in the East County neighborhood, where he also owns The Regal Bar, a popular local hangout. In the kitchen is Lance Repp, a veteran chef from local properties including Tom Ham’s Lighthouse, La Valencia, and Rancho Valencia who was most recently executive chef of the University Club atop Symphony Towers. His menu for Curbside ranges from bar snacks like ahi tuna poke and chorizo cornbread bites to tostadas, salads, and sandwiches including a short rib melt and a brie and bacon onion jam-topped burger. The bar, which will offer a competitive happy hour, has craft beer on tap as well as champagne-based drinks, sangria, mojitos and more." - Candice Woo

Had a nice lunch at Curbside Eatery & Drinkery! Good draft beer selection. Started with the yellowfin tuna poke nachos and for entrees had the curbside burger and surf & turf kebab plate. We sat on the dog friendly patio, and they have pooch patties for dogs. Friendly service and food comes out quickly. Recommend!

Google
This is a great restaurant for vegetarians, vegans, and omnivores alike. The falafel plate and veggie kebab are delicious. The lavender 75 cocktail is lovely. The patio is pet friendly and they’ll bring water to your pups. Highly recommend!!

Google
It seemed like a great place to go but the service was trash. We're disappointed because we weren't taken care of and it was an expensive meal. Everything took forever and our waiter was an apologist who didn't really know what to do I guess. I wish that we had better things to report. Try harder please.

Our server was so attentive I'm really sorry I didn't get her name. My friend and I visited Saturday, August 2, and stayed from 8:30 to closing. Happy Hour was a deal! We really enjoyed the loaded fries and short rib nachos. 10 out of 10 recommend. The vibes were great too!

Google
I Definitely Came Here For The Fund Raiser For Jeffrey. I Actually Came Because He Made Think About How Important It Is To Protect The Children. I Liked The Delicious Food And Ice Cold Beer To Wash It All Down. Oh Yeah The Service Was Ok. I Definitely Have Tell You If You're Coming Here For A Fundraiser Make Sure You Reserve A Table. Oh Yeah Keep In Mind This Place Is Very Tight In Space So If You're Walking With A Cane Like I'm Then It's Very Tricky. I Definitely Must Recommend That When Ordering A Salad Make Sure You Let The Server Know You Want It First. Oh Yeah They Only Have Two Single Bathroom's. I Totally Recommend This Place.

Google
Curbside Eatery was a great find—casual, creative, and full of flavor. We had an Aperol Spritz and a Smoky Spritz, and both were on point. The Aperol Spritz was crisp, refreshing, and exactly what you’d want on a warm day. The Smoky Spritz was a standout—unexpectedly complex, with just the right amount of bitterness and depth from the smoke. The real highlight? The short rib nachos. Rich, tender beef layered over crispy chips, with just the right amount of sauce, cheese, and fresh toppings. Comfort food with an upgrade. Cool atmosphere, great drinks, and seriously satisfying bites. Would definitely come back.

Google
Food was honestly gross and tasted microwaved. Terrible service that repeatedly forgot about us and took us forever to simply get water which was served in a reused jug that hadn't even been cleaned properly and still had glue and hair stuck to it. Probably the worst experience I've had eating in La Mesa and incredibly overpriced for the premade quality of the food. We left and went up the street to Sheldon's and paid less, ate better and didn't question the cleanliness of the place. Genuinely shocked this place is still open. There's too many great options in La Mesa to waste your time and money here.

Google
So far this place looks pretty awesome. Nice breeze blowing through the open sides. People are very friendly and recommended the tri-colored quinoa salad with chicken kabobs, so I’ll be back to update my review in a bit! The Quinoa salad was excellent! So was the Hummus appetizer, and Cameron is the best waiter! 😉

Yelp
We visited Curbside for lunch and were treated very well. They have a full bar with many options, we opted for local beers and ciders. The place has a bar vibe with seating at the bar, inside, and a lot of outdoor street side seating. We ordered mom's burrito and the short rib sandwich. They both came with in house chips - which were good! Yes, the charge for substituting the chips, but you don't need to. The food was great! Our server/bartender was attentive and accommodating. We had a great lunch!

Yelp
Came in here for lunch with my dad the other day. Neither of us had ever been, so we figured, why not? Well, the vibe is really nice. A super cute look, from the floor to the ceiling and the bar with the flowers. The service was good, and we were well taken care of. I didn't try it, but my dad said the mushroom burger was just okay. As for me, well I ordered the chicken tenders and truffle fries. The fries were good, but the proportion was off. There was hardly any chicken :( I wanted more :( They tossed it in their homemade sweet chili sauce and it was sooooo good, but yeah, only like a few bites with more fries than anything. Other than that, it was a nice spot to dine. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
This has been one of my favorite spots in the village for a while now. I love to sit on the sidewalk tables and people watch. Especially Fridays during the farmers market. I ordered a mojito, which was delicious in a tall glass with fresh mint leaves. We just got a couple apps, the sliders, which were great, come with bacon jam, and the short rib nachos! The short rib nachos are fantastic. I get them almost every time we go here! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
This is a great little establishment. I went to visit my sister, Teri in California and we went there on our way to the airport. There was a great selection of food very scrumptious. The staff was outstanding, the owner was very nice and accommodating. This is a great little place where the Very Cool vibe! They make you feel very welcome, like family.

Yelp
I'm not La Mesa at all, but after trying Curbside I might be visiting more often. The spicy burger was cooked perfectly and the rest of my party enjoyed their seafood entrees, including the fish tacos and poke nachos. Service was a little slow, but they were relatively busy. Parking was a little bit challenging, but after a few trips around the block I was able to find a meter. Overall, I was very impressed and look forward to coming back,

Yelp
The braised short rib nachos! Yum !!! So good! The tequila Rosa is sooo good too! The bartender was quick and had great customer service! The ambiance is so fun!

Yelp
We decided to come here on a Monday Night, instead of Mastiff Kitchen. We were welcomed right away by a host sitting at the front door. After overlooking the menu posted outside, we decided to be seated. The host was very customer service oriented. Shortly after sitting down, our server arrived. She was very enthusiastic and offered a fresh greeting. She answered any questions that we had about the menu and the drinks, in such a positive manner. She is truly the expert. Tried the Societe IPA and the Tequila Old Fashioned. Both were definitely great. The Tequila Old Fashioned IS AMAZING! This is the new go to drink for me this Spring. We also ordered: CAULI ONION SQUASH Shareable, THREE BERRY SALAD with Short Rib added, and SHORT RIB SLIDERS with Housemade Potato Chips. Our food came out in an appropriate amount of time. I had a chance to visit the restroom in between that time. I try not to visit the restroom before I eat, because it can potentially ruin my appetite. This place had a VERY CLEAN AND PRESENTABLE RESTROOM. I was impressed and pleased. Everything tasted great and the vibe here is throwback and nice, plus they play 80s & 90s music. The only thing that I regret is not realizing that there was no dessert on the menu. We were here to continue to celebrate a birthday, but could not indulge in any desserts here. Otherwise, we will visit again for the great hospitality, service, and yummy food.

Yelp
Curbside Eatery and Drinkery is a restaurant and neighborhood bar in the heart of La Mesa Village. I stopped by two separate times with a friend and my canine companion. AMBIANCE Curbside has an open-air, clean industrial vibe with its iconic metal windows, exterior elevated deck, interior sports bar, metal seating, concrete floors, and wraparound curbside patio. SERVICE On both nights staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful with recommendations. FOOD (happy hour) 5/5 Poke nachos: savory umami notes 5/5 Short Rib nachos: rich, tender, flavorful 5/5 Berry Salad: fresh juicy berries and salad 5/5 BLAT Salad: fresh, crisp bacon 5/5 Beef Patties: my dog never barked for food until she had these 4.5/5 pretzel bites and and dips PARKING Metered parking is available adjacent to the commercial street or across the street at a public lot. PS My dog says we will be back for more food, potentially for Brunch which is Friday-Sunday 10am-2pm.

Yelp
I wish I could rate it higher but to me, this place is overrated. The variety and food are whatever and it's pricey for what you get. My 3 starts go to the staff for being nice and attentive and because it's pet friendly in the terrace area. I got the ahi poke bowl 1/2 lettuce and 1/2 rice and my husband got the short rib sandwich. I would say his fries were surprisingly good!

Yelp
I want to preface this review by mentioning that this review in no way reflects on the wait staff. However, the food was extremely disappointing. We started with the poke nachos, which were a huge letdown. What we received was mostly chips with a very little poke. For the price, I expected a much better balance of ingredients and definitely more poke. The shredded carrot on top felt like filler. Next, I had the cheeseburger. Initially, I noticed the fries had been lazily thrown on the plate in a haphazard arrangement, which doesn't really matter because Curbside isn't fine dining - but it sure did foreshadow what was to come. Upon taking a bite, I noticed the bun was incredibly dry. This alone would have been disappointing, but then I discovered a large piece of wax paper in the burger, presumably from the cheese slice. I am a bit concerned with how much paper I actually ate before noticing it. This kind of mistake is unacceptable and raises serious questions about what goes on in the kitchen. From the fries, to the bun, and the wax paper - whoever plated this burger does not care about the customer. My wife had the Greek salad, which was priced at $17 with an additional $7 for chicken. The salad was laughably small and only included four tiny pieces of chicken. Also, for $17 ($28 including the chicken) you'd think a Greek salad would have Greek olives and not cheap black olives. For such a high price, we expected a much more substantial and authentic Greek salad. The portion size and quality were extremely disappointing. We were informed that some changes had been made to the menu and kitchen, but these changes have clearly not been for the better. Despite the decent service, the quality of the food was so poor that we will not be returning. We have already warned our friends to avoid this place. Very disappointed.

Yelp
I met my gf here to grab a bite to eat, and I must say I was very impressed. The drinks were good and the burger was amazing. My gf had been there before and she said the shortrib melt was up to par as usual which happens from time to time. I had a good time vibe was very relaxed. Looking forward to coming back to this area to check it all out.

Yelp
Late night stop after dinner, wine and the farmers market on Fridays. Had the garlic fries which were soooo delish! Padres game was on and everything was perfect here. This is my second time here and I can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Yolanda M.

Yelp
The food here is consistently delicious. You can always count in getting your food and cocktail just the way you like! The people that run this place and work here are amazing!
google avatar

Nick Y.

Yelp
I've always liked Curbside. But I do feel it's a little overrated. I think the food is good, it's a little over-priced, the drinks are meh, and the vibe of the restaurant is overdone. I just don't love the trendy, industrial vibe. I've had a wide assortment of items on their menu. The last two times I've been I had their Fish & Chips and their signature burger. Both items were $20. I've said this in prior reviews, a $20 burger better be reallll good. This burger didn't not meet that. The fish and chips were pretty good. The batter on the fish was perfectly crispy and the fries were a medium cut that were seasoned very nicely. Curbside is a great spot for happy hour though! They always have incredible servers
google avatar

Isabel J.

Yelp
This place is great if you are in downtown La Mesa and wanting a place to grab some beer and decent food. Service is also great and very friendly. I wouldn't say the food is out of this world but they have solid sandwiches and appetizers. Not too expensive for what you get either!
google avatar

Shanah C.

Yelp
This was my first time here. Looks like your average, casual neighborhood restaurant. Tvs, bar, patio seating. I ordered the chicken Kebab plate (came with rice, salad, hummus and pita) The chicken was SO tender (not the norm for white meat), the rice was DELICIOUS! Not sure how they cooked it, but it was a flavor I've never tasted before (and I eat a lot of different cultural foods) and the pita was HEAVEN ON EARTH! I'm not a big "bread" fan, but this was warm and buttered and divine! Service was pleasant and polite (not overly attentive) and I will DEFINITELY be back to try their salads and sandwiches!! Street parking with meters.
google avatar

Breanne B.

Yelp
First off, let me say that I have been going here for years - since they opened! The atmosphere is always so upbeat and open, so I'm always happy to return here! The owner, Brenda, is very involved and very interactive with the customers which makes you feel like home. The menu is consistently changing while still keeping fan faves on lock! Their espresso martinis are one of the best ones I've ever had, and trust me I've had plenty! Their staff is amazing and attentive, which also goes to show what the owner puts into it! One of my go to in the menu is always the BLT salad (sometimes I add shrimp), firecracker shrimp is amazing as well! The Poké bowl is also a favorite of mine! They do also have some of the best fish tacos around! You could probably find me here at least twice a month because it's our go to place and it's conveniently near our house! Big thanks to Curbside for sticking through it all, to include Covid, brining us what we want and updating the menu to keep us on our toes! If you're ever in town or looking for a great place to eat is the place to go! It will not disappoint!

Yelp
Nice casual place to meet for happy hour or good eats! My wife and I love it and really love the Al fresco dining. Going to introduce the place to some really close friends tonight too.
google avatar

Yelp
First time trying this place out and I'm surprised. The environment is great, a good place to watch football games, chat with friends, or eat outside with your pet. The service is great. Fast and reliable on food recommendations and what most people prefer. We ordered the chicken wings - tai chili flavored and I'm impressed. The chicken was cooked well and very filling. Paired with a couple sandwiches and a burger to fill out tummies. I definitely recommend this place. Next time I will show the pictures, but it was too good & I was starving so I forgot. Appetizers, Sandwiches & Burgers are greaaaaaat!

Yelp
A La Mesa staple! Curbside is great, good food, good drinks, and positive vibes. Definitely recommend checking out their happy hours 3-5 and 8-10 pm every day. My go to's are the gyro and falafel plates. As a Greek who loves Mediterranean food these are solid. They use green chick peas so you know it's good. Also you have to get the tzatziki, it pairs perfectly and is well made. The staff is super nice and welcoming. We had a bit of a mix up one time with a reservation but they were great about getting us seated. The only reason I gave 4 stars is it's a bit steep in price for some of the items.

Shari D.

Yelp
The chicken Kabob plate was so delicious and plentiful! The chicken was cooked to perfection and it came with salad, rice, hummus, and grilled pita bread. Kind service as well! Loved our first visit!
google avatar

Julianne C.

Yelp
Service isn't too bad and on weekdays it isn't too crowded unlike weekends or at night. This place has such great burgers and their fries are so delectable. One of my top 3 favorite fries ever. The staff are so kind and pleasant. I've gone back multiple times. Their wings are good as well...writing this just makes me want to come back

Yelp
2.5. Came here on a Saturday and managed to make it in while happy hour was still going on. Asked yo be seated inside and got a high top. Despite not 1, not 2 but 3 different servers walking around it took 10 minutes to have one come to our table so we had to order quickly to be able to get happy hour specials. We ordered: Kilt lifter beer $7 ($2 off beers and house wines during happy hour) happy hour pretzel bites $7, happy hour curbside fries $7, and happy hour short rib nachos $7. I had wanted a chardonnay but was brought a cabaret. The apps: fries were not warm. They are thicker, seasoned fries. I did not enjoy them. The pretzel bites were the best app. The cheese dipping sauce was tasty and my husband enjoyed the mustard dipping sauce. The nachos were meh. Pretty short on short rib meat and the toppings only went one layer deep. We were still hungry so we ordered the spicy burger $17 and the short rib melt $16 both come with chips but my husband wasn't paying attention that to add fries was a $3 up charge so he got fries. I ordered the burger medium and it was undercooked. I was ok with it but I read other reviews where people said theirs was undercooked as well so if you don't like bloody beef order well done. The chips were hard, crisp. I didn't mind the taste but I only ate one. The rib melt was good. I had a bite and it was ok but my husband enjoyed it. They have no dessert but there is an Italian restaurant next door that has gelato, cake slices etc. This place is open on 3 sides and has out door seating. The heater that was inside but near the outdoor seating was on so we felt it. Most of the tables were full and did not turn over while we were there. Overall I was glad to try something new but due to the poor service and meh food I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here.
google avatar

James V.

Yelp
Very kind and engaging service from Alex - thanks! The sidewalk outdoor shaded seating was delightful on a warm day. The menu looked great. We had a long day ahead so we just opted for pits and hummus. It was fine but not life changing. Would be open to returning and trying their other offerings. One opportunity for improvement are the indoor flies. In front of the restrooms doors, there was a swarm. Otherwise, looks like a solid addition to the area!
google avatar

Valissa T.

Yelp
The drinks, staff ( shoutout to Paul ), and atmosphere were great! The music was a vibe and plus. I would definitely recommend this place for a great drink and happy hour.
google avatar

D G.

Yelp
Such a good vibe in here from the decor to all of the giant windows that give you an indoor outdoor feel. Good tap selection. The beer is always nice and cold. We go there a few times a month for our go-to food item of poke nachos. Delicious big chunks of tuna, super crispy wonton chips and all the yummy toppings. So delicious!

Xavier S.

Yelp
Stopped by Curbside when it was slow. The restaurant has a nice vibe. Menu on the pricer side. The bartender Erin was really nice and attentive. Food got to me within a reasonable time. Got the Spicy Burger, it was pretty good! Lil nitpick tho for a "spicy burger" it definitely could've been spicer lol. Overall tho I had a good time.
google avatar

Michelle F.

Yelp
Visited Curbside after walking some trails on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated right away. They have outside seating, high tops, and lower tables. Our waitress came over almost immediately and took drink order and brought water. They appeared to be well staffed and very efficient. I order the turkey, bacon, avocado lettuce sandwich. It was good. The bread was extra crispy which is different but still good. My husband had a breakfast burrito it was really good, it had brisket :) I will definitely be ordering a burrito next time. They have TV's and sports on so it does get a little loud Overall pretty solid choice for eating in La Mesa
google avatar

Britt C.

Yelp
Such a great local restaurant with really fantastic food! The short rib nachos were loaded full of deliciousness and were a large portion. The curbside burger was cooked perfectly and I loved the flavor of the brie with the sweet bacon jam. The gyro plate was also tasty, the meat was juicy and went well with the tzatziki and rice. I love the variety of what you can get on the menu and it was all done so well.
google avatar

Shani C.

Yelp
Fun dinner on a Friday as the market came to a close. All the stars on the cocktail, I'll be back for that and appetizers. We brought the boys, so I opted for veggie kabobs since we got chicken wings and firecracker shrimp to start, and I know the 3 year old would not eat all his shrimp and fries.
google avatar

Paula M.

Yelp
The food is fantastic and the service is very quick! Each time I go it is a positive experience.
google avatar

Ast D.

Yelp
The food was ok, prices were way too high for "meh" quality, but the atmosphere was.... not ok. I wasn't comfortable at all. The first clue was when the song "we gotta get you a woman" by Todd Rundgren was playing.... "they may be stupid but they sure are fun"... wow. I dunno if that was a pandora thing, and that really isn't my problem, but no. Just no. Then i looked around. Most of the servers are women and this song is being played? Seems like fun to work here.. not. To top all of this off, there are political fliers up. WOW. Idc what side you play for, that's just tacky. Won't be returning.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
Don't order the kebab plates very small portions, 4 small pieces of chicken, tiny amount of rice and even smaller portion of iceberg salad, bad for $18. Bad management and service! Was charged $9 dollar for more pita bread and hummus when the bill came. My wife was very dissatisfied with her poke salad as well. The Manager did nothing to help with this problem. I had to assist I was not paying for the pita bread and hummus. Not customer friendly at all or understanding! To bad because I'm new to La Mesa and would not recommend anyone eating her until they fix their service and the way they treat customers.
google avatar

Ford F.

Yelp
Maybe because my husband and I live in La Jolla, I don't relate to the "overpriced" comments here. I found their prices very reasonable. Also, not being a La Mesa local, I rarely make it East of the 805, but we ended up here after purchasing some rare first-edition books at Maxwell's down the street. I was pleasantly surprised when we wandered in here: friendly service, upbeat vibes and music, and welcoming LGBT energy I usually reserve for more metropolitan areas in San Diego. La Mesa has really improved over the years. My only issue was I asked our waitress my burger be medium rare and got medium (would've been a five star experience had my order been correct). However, the rest of the staff was top-notch, from the young hostess at the front to the skater guy who wandered out of the kitchen to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. My husband and I also chuckled at the humor of the drink coasters! Overall, it's a great place to hang out if you want a good vibe and friendly service.

Yelp
Food was great service was great and the ambience was absolutely a charming place to be

Yelp
Considering we showed up at 5:30 pm during Oktoberfest the service and food was exceptional. Kudos to Courtney our server! She as beyond helpful, hospitable and an absolute delight! We had beer of course and the poke salad. All good and tasty.
google avatar

Mercedes L.

Yelp
My husband and I came here on a Tuesday evening. (Not happy hour) We had the pretzel bites, poke nachos, and sliders. The food was really good. I had the poke and it was delicious. I also had a michelada that was prepared deliciously!
google avatar

Yelp
Found this place on accident when we were walking in downtown La Mesa. Im so glad we did! Erin the bartender was Amazing! She made me one if the best Hot Toddies I ever had. The vibe of the bar was great and service was phenomenal. This is definitely going to be one of my new go to spots!'

Yelp
Came in on a Saturday evening , had a reservation but wasn't too busy regardless. We had a baby with us and they tried to sit us at a high table which wasn't a big deal, we ended up sitting outside. There was when you walked in a fan blowing that had several flies flying in the area of it and the waitress referred to them as "surface flies" and they have the fan there to keep them in the area but she said not to worry because they won't go on the food. Very odd. We ordered two burgers and fish and chips , both burgers were missing the bacon jam and the fish was heavily fried almost oil soaked. For the burgers, we had asked for medium and both came back well done. Not sure why they ask if they are just gonna cook how they want. Also with one of the ordered of fries that came with a burger, there was a small bug on them. Granted we were sitting outside , but the bug didn't have wings and was just walking along the fries. Waitress was nice and checked on us a couple times, definitely the high point of this place but the food for sure definitely needs work.
google avatar

Sheila C.

Yelp
Maybe I am biased, but the chilaquiles should definitely not be called chilaquiles. It is a weak attempt to make contemporary chilaquiles. We asked for short rib meat and bacon on the side. We overheard the server tell the kitchen that he asked for them on the side. What they did was scrape off the meats and give us the same plate. We found chips pieces mixed in the rib meat. The service was good, but the food we tried was not. After all the reviews I read on Yelp, I was truly looking forward to trying this place. Highly disappointing.
google avatar

Jojo P.

Yelp
Damn. I'm here and you're not. Phenomenal Everything, from the incredible service, cleanliness of the restaurant, delicious food...we've decided, we'll make the drive and come here often!

Yelp
Loved this place. So fun and cute. Food was delicious. I had the slider and I was so happy I did. Can't want to go back.
google avatar

Ryan R.

Yelp
I want to like this place so badly, but it's very mediocre. The service is mediocre, the food is mediocre, and the drinks are mediocre. The one bright spot is the Tequila Old Fashioned.
google avatar

Katelyn M.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this local spot! It's probably my favorite restaurant in the village. I love how open everything is! From the drinks to the food, the ambiance and our waitress, Erin, we had a great time! You have to try their kabobs plate!!! I got the steak and shrimp, It's huge! Definitely enough for more than one meal. My friend got the poke bowl, which was really tasty as well. Check it out, you won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Rachele K.

Yelp
Decided to go for a walk to town went on the Curbside Eatery for a cocktail on Mother's Day with friends! Omg Aaron was fantastic! She made a drink I requested and added a splash of love and came out better then I expected! Good service! Happy with my new home girl and this restaurant!

Yelp
True to the name, they only have curbside parking and pretty tasty shareable appetizers and alcoholic beverages. Although you can make a reservation through the phone, I managed to nab a table pretty easily on a Saturday afternoon. Service was extremely fast and drinks were out in a few minutes with the food following shortly. =ORDERED= *Short Rib Nachos: short rib was tender and moist. Wished there was a bit more meat since ours was skewed towards their cheese sauce. Portion was big and could be shared amongst two people or nibbled upon a larger group. The chips could be exchanged with fries for $5 more but then it would be a $22 appetizer. Not worth that much. *Poke Nachos: light counterpart to the previous nachos but still hefty. Tuna was fresh although I would have preferred the poke to have a more flavorful marinade. The poke was on the saltier side so I enjoyed the addition of wasabi crema and sriracha aioli to give it some creaminess and kick. *The Rose: prominent basil and strawberry flavor. Clean and simple. *Hemmingway Daiquiri: so addicting and smooth. Tart and sweet, great for those who love citrus. Went well with the poke nachos. Our server was friendly and she was quick with everything. We always had refilled glasses and she checked on us consistently. While the drinks are excellent and the food is above average, they're not the cheapest. Most items on the menu are $17+ without sides so I can see racking up a large bill after ordering a burger, fries and a drink. Curbside is best enjoyed with a bite prior so then the shareable can fill you up alongside a couple cocktails.

Yelp
Not many people for late Saturday but good for me. No wait, got a choice spot at the outside bar, facing the corner, and super fast service. Had a BLT, their house made potato chips, and a local Mexican lager. The BLT was good, the crispy chips were a nice touch, and the lager was exactly what I expected. $48 including a 15% tip.

Yelp
I have to give this place five stars. Everything about this place is great!!!! The location, atmosphere, music, food, drinks, and the staff was super nice. I have always passed by this place while In La Mesa, and today I decided to give it a try. It's always so lively and packed with people, but today it was just right. There was no line and plenty of seating on the outside deck. We ordered a chicken kabob plate and a veggie kabob plate. Both super delicious. We also got a couple whiskey mules and a few shots. By the time we left we were feeling good!! Definitely will be coming back.
