We were there earlier today. Wow, the place was packed and it was great to see such a busy place. We’re visiting from out of town, so this was our first time visiting. We ordered the flight and cider, which was really good. They have a food truck out front so we ordered some items from them. You place your order and they text you when it’s ready to pick it up. We were lucky and got a table right by the river on such a beautiful night. We’ll definitely visit again if back in the area.

The Wood Fired Grill food trailerat Currahee Brewing Co at 100 Lakeside Dr in Franklin NC… The Blueberry Seltzer 🫐on draft AMAZING with dessert!! 🍰 The Strawberry 🍓 Coconut Cloud Cake…fresh strawberries. This place has a great atmosphere and the viewers are Good too. With the view of the river, it's a great place to come and hang out. Five stars. We came here off the Appalachian trail with promises of pizza and a food truck open and there is nothing. Super bummed. A pizza and some beer or even a burger would have been great with a visit in Franklin, but I guess we'll have to go somewhere. Don't assume any of their events or food trucks are up to date like we did. Bathroom didn't have paper towels and don't ask for a passport stamp, they are on the list but they don't have one......At least they're dog friendly.

While you're out exploring Macon County, NC, save a day for strolling down the Greenway. It's located just outside of downtown. Need a burst of energy snack on some of the wild blackberries along the path. When you've had enough or you're ready to take a break, stoll across the bridge to @CurraheeBrewing. Sit under the trees along the rivers' edge and let the river pass you by. Nothing more relaxing, beer in hand, feet up taking a much deserved rest! #franklinnc #FranklinChamberofCommerce #Discover FranklinNC #FranklinNCChamberofCommerce

Love the outdoor seating by the water. The cider choices are good! They have live music! 10/10 place to visit when in Franklin & bring my pup!

Google
Really nice location, not busy for a Friday night, but their competition in town had a live band. We enjoyed the chill atmosphere and the outdoor area next to the Little Tennessee River. The brews we tried were great and one I thought about, they offered a taste (which saved me from a too fruity flavored for me beer!) Nice staff!

Google
Wonderful atmosphere laid back lots of TVs great seating, indoor and outdoor tables out back back along the river. Food truck was open on Wednesday night serving Cajun cuisine really good. Breeze Cable Was singing and she is so talented she has such a soulful, beautiful voice. Great venue nice people they don’t serve food, but there’s normally a food truck open and I know for a fact you can order from Lots of local places and have it delivered. Fantastic choice for a laid-back evening in Fannklin Nc The house brewed Cider and beer were wonderful Lots of choices, a beautiful venue and great music. We Will be back!! Thank you Currahee Franklin for a relaxing evening!!

Google
Nice brewery with a good selection of beers. They had multiple types so there is something for everyone. The food truck they had there was delicious and the staff both inside and outside was super friendly and welcoming.

Yelp
Been to Currahee Brewing three times now. Beer has always been good, however the service at times can be a little slow. All and all a pretty nice place to stop by. The last time we stopped in was on a Sunday afternoon around 12:30. Strange thing was that there were almost more children than adults, which to me isn't a real problem. I have kids to. What was unnerving was the lack of parental supervision. It made our whole stop in uncomfortable Kids throwing rock all up and down the outside patio area, and a completely different set throwing a tennis ball 5 feet away from the bar.

Yelp
Incredible craft beer and great ambiance. Very clean and friendly place. The staff is so helpful and kind. This is a dog and kiddo friendly brewery - I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could! There is a food vendor inside, but also a good selection of snacks if the vendor happens to be closed. A must every time I'm in town.

Yelp
Currahee Brewing Company is an awesome spot to enjoy a cold brew! Hubby and I along with his brother and our sister-in-law stopped in while visiting family in Franklin. There was tons of parking spots open. We walked right in and ordered a few brews. I went with the Kawi coffee milk stout. Excellent brew! I really loved the strong coffee flavor. Must try if you are a coffee drinker. Inside tables and bar seating were up for grabs but we headed outside. This is the spot to post up! Several tables and chairs were set up feet from the little Tennessee river. Talk about perfect location to spend the afternoon. There was some shade along the river as well. They have a food truck on the property as well as a snack stand inside. Stop by for a drink, snack and beautiful scenery!

Yelp
Sunday July 2, 2020 Home-bound and three days later from a short weekender in the Smokey's we stopped again in Franklin, NC, which has quite variety of micro-brews, including Currahee, which got its start in 2016 and has another location in Alpharetta, GA (where all the experimental batches are borne out) and are about to open a third location in Clayton, GA. Lake Emory is a finger lake that boarders the brewery which is appropriately addressed on Lakeside Drive. The Brewery's website features a cool story revealing the origins of its patronage and name-sake which pays tribute to the Cherokee Indians and a notable WWII Parachute Infantry Division who use the Cherokee word Currahee as their motto which means "Stand alone." There is plenty of parking. If you have a kayak, feel free to use their boat ramp. The outside area has a small stage for out door bands. When we were there no one was playing and pretty much had the beautifully landscaped outdoors to ourselves next to the water. Before ordering, our hostess let me sample a couple of their beers before deciding and settling on the GARAND IPA - which has pine and citrus flavor and maintains malt and hop balance. Whether you are heading into the Appalachian or back to the city be sure to include Currahee as a stop. Drink responsibly.

Yelp
Good beer and even better vibes. The seats by the river are nice and the playlist was good. A lot of people had pups (us included) They allowed us to use their games which is really nice because most places have them locked up now for Covid. We went on a Saturday and it did get fairly crowded in terms of crowds nowadays. But due to most of the seating being outside and decently spaced out it felt safe

Yelp
We have been frequenting both the Franklin and Sylvia locations since we moved to western carolina and enjoy both! Always great beer and company--always a good bite to eat inside or in the parking lot as well. I enjoy the stout they recently had but my husband enjoys all the others --says he hasn't had one he disliked yet.

Yelp
Nice, laid-back atmosphere alongside the river in Franklin. The tap room is spacious, but the outdoor seating alongside the river is relaxing-a perfect complement to the terrific lineup of beers the Currahee team offers. And there are plenty of food options, with two food trucks outside and Redneck Ricky's inside.

Yelp
Clean Bathrooms, Elbow room, beautiful scenery, outdoors and cozy on the inside too! There's a food truck on sight who's Bar-B-Que is scrumptious. Their special recipe of slaw w.pineapple in it....Cannot be beat! Loved it

George V.

Yelp
Bathrooms are disgusting. Walls shelves corners of the walls caked in dirt / dust. Throughout Covid when cleaning was was important, nothing changed. Beers are inconsistent in style, flavor and quality.

Yelp
Pretty good craft brewery with good ambiance. Stopped here to quench our thirst after hiking the Bartram trail, we all ordered flights which was a good way to sample many beers. They give you chalk to right down your choices on the flight, 4 of them. Their beers were pretty good, some of the IPAs were pretty blah but a few were really good. Our group decided the hazy and wild IPA were good, their regular IPA I wouldn't recommend. Their flights are more expensive than the other local brewery. Staff was very friendly and patient as we fumbled around deciding flights. They had great music playing too! No food, bring your own if you're hungry. Huge dog friendly inside and outside! We sat by the river which was amazing, a few areas had some coverage too. I would recommend stopping here, it's definitely worth it!

Yelp
Great location! Good beers and Fido friendly:-) what else do you need? Walked in here as a tourist but leaving as fans!!

Yelp
Chick behind the bar is just not nice. She doesn't like to answer questions. My friend wasn't sure about what she wanted to drink and asked one too many questions, my other friend ordered the wrong beer and she didn't like it and wanted to sample some more - the chick behind the bar said I'd love to spend 10 more minutes with you and not help these other people. So, wrong way to handle. She could have said- hey I'm really busy can I serve these people and come back to you or something like that. I know people are short staffed, but seriously... there's another brewery in town we will go there next time.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere at Currahee Brewing, and enjoy having a beer while you sit by the river. This is our favorite place to come after a long day- I give the brewery a 5. There is usually a food truck that you can buy food. I didn't enjoy Red Oak BBQ. The food was cheap and not good at all. The BBQ taste as if it was cooked not smoked- it was awful which is why I gave the 1 review. The Brewery needs to assure the quality of food is good by whomever is there.

Yelp
Super cool brewery by the river in Franklin NC. The name caught my attention as a WWII history buff. Their beer kept me wanting to come back! The food truck is ok. Atmosphere and beer is great!
google avatar

Hans K.

Yelp
This is a very nice brewery with an extremely welcoming feel. Between pulls, bottles and cans they've an excellent list of beers. While they don't offer food, many of the restaurants will deliver to this brewery. There too is oftentimes food truck in the parking lot. And the brewery welcomes you to have a few drinks and enjoy your food from wherever it came.

Keaton G.

Yelp
Wonderful beer and great location!! Great spot by the river to have the kids run around and play. Tie Dye food truck provided some good eats too. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Joseph B.

Yelp
We came in on a laid back Friday afternoon. The beer is delicious and the staff is friendly. And they let our dogs hang with us in the taproom as we sipped beer. Can't beat it.
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere and outside seating area. It was very quiet on a Saturday night with only a few people in the bar. I think we had just missed the live band. We were visiting Franklin for the weekend and looked up a brewery. We enjoyed the service and the beer. The wayah lager was my favorite after tasting a few on draft.
google avatar

Michael N.

Yelp
Second Brewery to open in Franklin. Got a chance to visit this past December (2016). Love all the reclaimed lumber in the tap room. If you get a chance to try Tellico Black Rye Ale (6.8%), it will change your life. An amazing beer!!! Complex and delicious! It was all I drank my first visit, since I was so impressed. The Grand IPA is solid and definitely tastes better off the tap than in can (I've had both). Nice to see their beer sold in cans at local convenience/gas stations!
google avatar

Cheryl I.

Yelp
Stopped here because the reviews and pictures showed the patio facing the river. They had a food truck in the parking lot so we decided to grab a beer and food. I didn't know what beer I would like so the young guy behind the bar was so helpful. He let me sample four different beers and I ended up liking a stout which I would probably not have thought I'd like. It was so good! The food truck had burgers and street tacos. The chicken tacos were amazing and sitting down by the water was so peaceful! A true gem and great beer!

Cat T.

Yelp
what you need to know to go! 12 taps incl. cider, non-alcohol, wine great vibe inside & out river side seating and rock wall outdoor band shell dogs can be inside or out great music playlist through speakers in/out food truck 3 tvs for sports but no audio well done guys, we will be back!
google avatar

Vanessa A.

Yelp
The newest brewery in the little town of Franklin definitely left its mark on me. The beers were very tasty and served at appropriate temps; the interior, tables and outdoor patios were simply and beautifully done; and Anna, the beertender, was patient and knowledgable. To top it off, the food truck right outside serves some very palatable food! So don't be put off by the warehouse-like exterior, or the fact they may look closed! Park and go around back. Go ahead, do it.

Mark B.

Yelp
Redneck Ricky's food was excellent. He's located in the back right of the room. Highly recommended and he's a nice guy. Not related to the food truck outside which was not appealing.
google avatar

Kat C.

Yelp
Very cool place. Beers were good. They are not served ice cold, but more cool-ish. The Kawai Beer was awesome.

Michelle H.

Yelp
Great beer and wonderful food truck awesome patio. What more could you want on a Saturday May afternoon??

Ed W.

Yelp
This is my wife's and mine "go-to place." We end every workweek there. The beers that they offer are varied and all great. For food, the two outdoor wagons have great food and if you only Ned something light, there's the indoor snack station. Don't pass this brewery up!
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
Outstanding vibe, service, brews, and views! Our new favorite microbrewery in Franklin, NC. Will be back!! Try the Hazy IPA or the Triple if they have it on tap!
google avatar

Shana D.

Yelp
Great beer and awesome atmosphere. Loved the outdoor seating and view the river. Perfect spot to wind down.

Yelp
Of course, after having one of their beers at Haywood Smokehouse, I had to see this place. Also, a neat spot to get away from the gemologists, geminites, or whatever you call those peeps at the GL&W. Loved the wood decor and Big Ass Fans. Would def be a spot that I would visit more if I was closer. My only 2 small peeves were: (1) if I order a beer and say close me out...close me out so I don't have to wait later when you come back and ask when I'm done and (2) why do you park on one side and walk around the corner (past a legit door that I could have gone in) to enter the space? All in all a great spot because that is so minor when you are hot and in need of a cool beverage.
google avatar

Lita L.

Yelp
A huge spacious setting with high ceilings, giant ceiling fans, open garage style doors, outdoor seating with umbrellas, and a treed backdrop on a river, and available for large parties and gatherings. They serve other local brewery beers in addition to their own, and have 6 ounce flights for $3 each to enjoy the selection. A fairly new venue, it would be great for entertainment as they grow. Their own IPA brew called Garand was enjoyable, sitting at their massive wooden bar. Becky was our bartender, and she was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Definitely a good place to check out.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
The Currahee Brewing Company is a "must-stop" if you ever find yourself in Franklin, NC! Tucked behind a McDonald's and cleverly disguised as a warehouse, when you go inside it is spacious and decked out with salvaged barn wood, with several TVs. What's even better is the outdoor section, which overlooks the river with some great views. Best of all, Anna, the bartender, was charming and efficient, and ready to guide you through their impressive selection of brews. I was fortunate enough to be able to spend most of the afternoon there, so I got to try quite a few of them -- you really can't go wrong!

Yelp
This is a great place to have a good beer. The Bar Tender seemed to only want to chat with locals. So as a visitor, I kinda felt like an outsider. But she was pretty attentive and I always had a beer. No food truck on Tuesday's so drinking too much is a possibility. Try other breweries then come here.

Gervais D.

Yelp
Cool little spot right on the river with great food trucks always put front. They have a fantastic peach wheat beer that is one of the best fruity wheat beers that I've had. Definitely have to check out if in the area.
google avatar

Edward D.

Yelp
Damn fine beer and a great spot in general. We came here on our anniversary and that day a terrible storm went through Franklin. We were at the bar in Currahee chatting up some funky individuals when the power went out. Even though they couldn't accept cards they kept pouring beers. The servers are awesome and you definitely shouldn't go through Franklin without stopping here. They also have one of the best brewery logos in WNC.
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
This brewery had some nice brews, GORGEOUS outdoor seating and views of the Little TN River. Biggest disappointment was that the bar was understaffed the day of our visit (10/22/16). The bartender was busting his butt trying to keep up but he was underwater. I would have thought the owners or manager would have shown up to help out. Major lapse in professionalism for a brewery just getting up and going.
google avatar

Margarete B.

Yelp
Nice brewery off the river. We enjoyed the Octoberfest beer by the water while our kids played giant Jenga. Friendly staff and our young kids were welcomed.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
This place reminds me of a mini Sierra Nevada! Great outdoor play space for families. The indoor space has great seating. The River view is great. Love all of the events they have here. If you are in town or passing through, this is a must stop location.
google avatar

Miranda D.

Yelp
Good beer and friendly staff. Interesting selection of beer. Beautiful facility indoor and out! Highly recommend popping in and checking it out!
google avatar

Janine S.

Yelp
This place is awesome! You can tell the owners put a lot of thought in the design and presentation. The staff and beer selection were great. I am from out of state so I am not sure when the food truck is there but the food was great! I wish we lived closer to visit often! Nothing better than sitting near the water in good company drinking great beer!
google avatar

Barry P.

Yelp
Still new, still some growing pains, but a beautiful brewery near downtown Franklin, NC. Great selection of beers - be sure to try a flight of four 6-ounce pours for sampling. Many wonderful interpretations of Belgian styles.
google avatar

Gary W.

Yelp
I usually don,t like many bars but this my new favorite place. It is mellow, large , their own excellent beers, music on Saturday nights, (we went last nite and they had a kind of amplified blue grass blues fusion . It was good. )Food is provided by a truck from mountain fresh , a gourmet grocery, it's good too. We discovered it cause they had a yoga class we went to. Try the damn it Russia beer (for trump supporters?). Has a. Whiskey finish as a result of a stay in whiskey barrels.very different and good, strong too, ten per cent.
google avatar

Laura B.

Yelp
This brewery is gorgeous, expensive, and right on the river. Super Duper friendly waitstaff and a great place to take your furry friends. Oh, and the beer is excellent too!
google avatar

Patrick G.

Yelp
Nice job, Currahee. I've been back a few times after my previous review, including today. Service is so much better and your beer is still great. Garand is one of the best around.

Bryan B.

Yelp
We had an amazing experience. Anna took exceptional care of us at the bar! Absolutely 5 stars!
google avatar

Stacey L.

Yelp
Met some friends there. The person waiting on us was the manager because it was Monday in the early afternoon. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. Let us try some of the beer till we found one we liked. W had a great time! We'll definitely go back.

Steven H.

Yelp
Ambiance 10 10 10. The smell. The openness. The bar staff. The gorgeous bar and taps. The beers. It's fantastic. Stop trying the others and go here. Wow. Dark woods with light pine and stained concrete. Industrial. Amazing. I just can't find words.

Fred V.

Yelp
Slow and extremely rude service... I strongly recommend not spending your money here.

Frank R.

Yelp
Tasty beers and attentive staff with very inviting sitting areas inside and on the patio. Will be back and bringing friends!!

Sean F.

Yelp
Stopped in while we were visiting Franklin. I was happy to see there is another brewery in town. The setup is nice, it's very open with some tables and a nice outdoor seating area overlooking the river. The food truck outside had decent prices but the food was not good, however it's not part of the brewery so I won't let that affect my review. The beer is ok, my friend and I each had a flight of 4 beers. The APA, Batch 1, was probably the best beer I had which was only decent. The rest of the beers my friend and I had were not very memorable. In my opinion, they don't have a beer that will put them on the map which is fine for a sleepy town like Franklin but I probably won't come back having been to much better breweries.

Brandon W.

Yelp
Great beer and a great place to drink a beer! Right on the river, with an area over looking it. Bands generally on the weekend with other events scattered here and there. My favorite place to have a beer and relax.
