We were just done with Ms malice's graduation from ACC with an associates of Art in anthropology. She's immediately said I want to go to Curry kitchen. This little shop has been around for a little bit and we don't eat here as much as I'd like to say we do, but at least once every 6 months will come in. Starting off the service is always excellent. Jay saw my wife 's graduation robes and immediately congratulated her. Once we were seated and we had a chance to look at the menu, they even offered her a free alcoholic beverage which she did take a glass of wine. We're not saying this because we think they're going to give everybody a free glass of wine, but it happened for our experience so your miles may vary. We started off with an appetizer called Pawnee Perry. It is a crisp puffed rice cracker. I believe that is filled with chickpeas and potatoes and you add a spicy sauce to it. It's crispy, spicy, tangy and delicious. I highly recommend it. For our main dishes my wife got the chicken biryani and I got the lamb biryani. The portions for the entrees are huge. As you can see it is piled above the plate. I didn't take a picture of this but I only ate a third of mine. You are asked what spice level you want. Medium is a three fives extreme. I got a four and it makes you sweat a little bit. The wife got a three. She's still sweated. I love this place. It's great experience and the food is really good. They do get busy at night so definitely try to stop it a little bit earlier in the evening to ensure a seat.

Google
Selection is varied and delicious at a great price. The staff is friendly staff, the clean atmosphere. I have been in before and am always pleased at what I choose. They have cooking classes which I am excited to try! Love this place, cannot recommend it more! Edit: good grief… so good. Asked the waitress for a recommendation and it was phenomenal. I’ve heard people wishing they could watch a movie again for the first time, wish I could come here for the first time. Friendly atmosphere and I am made to feel welcome every time!

Google
This was the absolute best Indian food I've ever had. I ordered the chicken vindaloo extra spicy. When I first tried it I thought I made a mistake. I only tried the sauce. It was close to taking my breath, however with the chicken, potatoes, and rice it was delicious. The saag paneer was also very delicious, and quite spicy.

Google
Absolutely delightful experience at Curry Kitchen! The authentic Nepali flavors transported me to the Himalayas. The momos were tender and flavorful, the lamb was rich and aromatic, and the chowmin (Noodles) was deliciously delicious. The service was warm and attentive, making us feel like family. Cozy ambiance and stunning decor added to the charm. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious and authentic Nepali and Indian Cuisine.

Google
I had the opportunity to try Nepali Thukpa ( Chicken Noodle Soup) at Curry Kitchen at Pflugerville area. It was fantastic. The taste and spiciness was on point. I highly recommend anyone to go and try their dishes! The ambience was nice and good came fast!!!

Google
Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had! The curries we ordered were so full of flavor, and the bread was crispy yet melt in your mouth delicious. The staff here were so kind and welcoming and the environment is top notch. This place is officially my favorite Indian restaurant in all of America - highly recommend!

Google
This was one of the best, if not the best Indian / Nepali cuisine I have ever had. Coconut curry dish, aloo gobi, chicken C momo which are the dumplings shown. The regular chicken momo is steamed. Both are delicious. This place had large portions, EXCELLENT customer service, and delicious garlic naan.

Google
some advice: if the deal on uber eats seems too good to be true, it probably is. I ordered from here because I wanted some accompaniments with the dinner I cooked. The (BOGO) naan arrived still uncooked, the pani puri “filling” just looked like leftover samosa potato filling and had very hard, uncooked peas in it. which is hilarious because pani puri shouldn’t even have green peas in the first place. The also forgot to include my mango lassi, but at least they gave me a straw in the bag!

Yelp
Not everyone in my house loves "Indian food" but we literally ate this up. We're based in north Austin, and it was worth the extra few minutes for this delicious meal.

Yelp
I first went to Yelp and look at the reviews of Curry Kitchen before ordering UberEATS delivery. I saw there were highly reviews so i thought, I will give it a try! I had order for my family the Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken Butter,, Veggie samosas, pani puri, and naan. There was a deal on UberEATS for buy one get one free for Butter chicken, pani puri, and naan which I thought wow, I've never seen this offer at an Indian restaurant before. Was excited that I didn't have to cook for the rest of the week to enjoy the food but.... when I tried the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken it was oddly sweet and severely bland. The sauce was super watery and you can't taste any of the traditional indian spices. It was lacking spices which is very old for Indian food because the cuisine is known for its spices and bold flavors. Chicken in both dish was super dry and tough like the chicken was over cooked to the point of no return. The basmati rice as ok. The veggie samosas were seasoned but it was an ok samosa not the best one I ever had. The samosas paired with their two sauce was ok. The sauces once again was super watery. The pani puri was crispy and packed well but the potatoes mixture was very bland and under seasoned. It needed more spices. The water sauce was ok and one note with a little heat. The naan was super chewy and tough. It was rough to eat. We did not enjoy any of the dishes we ordered. Overall with the food quality, cookery, and lacking in seasonings, I sadly can't recommend this place base on my take out order experience.

Yelp
I've been here quite a few times now and always had a good experience! The service has been efficient and friendly each time I've come. I've yet to see them half full regardless of when I've gone, so I wouldn't expect a wait. Their menu is quite big, usually for an Indian/nepalese place I would lean towards the Nepalese food, since it tends to be their specialty. However I've found their strength to be more in the Indian and Indo-Chinese dishes. The chili chicken in particular is one of my go tos. I've always enjoyed the Nepalese dishes when I've tried them, but the serving sizes are quite a bit smaller and come at a higher price. I'd probably recommend looking elsewhere if you want Nepalese specifically. Overall, very solid spot with good portions and reasonable prices if you're looking for a south Asian spot in the area

Yelp
I'm a little bit confused how best to rate this place - is it 3 or 4 stars? Because, their portion sizes are unbelievably tiny -- and it's worse when compared to the higher-than-average prices they're charging. But the flavors of the food are amazing. The alu tikki was particularly note worthy. I hope management will take notice of this feedback. You can charge a bit extra if you're delivering quality, but you can't disappoint customers by serving just two bites per appetizer. I also think their takeout order was a lot smaller than their dine-in portions. That is even more disappointing because you don't realize it until you're home how little food they gave. We paid about $30 for 3 appetizers but it wasn't even enough for 2 people to share as a satisfying pre-dinner round. Add: I'm even more disappointed with the business owner's response. You can look on their website and the Gobi Manchurian is $9.99 - it was 6 quarter-sized pieces, Paneer Pakoda is $6.99 and was two bite-sized pieces, and the Alu Tikki is $4.99 and I've shared the photo. They have 21 appetizers on their menu - only 6 of them are $5 or below. I wish the response wasn't so defensive and sarcastic - I had hoped to give them another try but likely won't at this point.

Yelp
Great service! I love the alo gobi and Chana masala-- the manager there was so sweet to me while I was pregnant and gave me complimentary bread will be back!

Yelp
SO GOOD. It's been a while since I've had some good chicken tikka masala + on a random rainy day, I had a craving for it. Many places in the area with scary reviews so I just went with this place + very grateful I did. I asked for my chicken tikka masala to be spicy + they delivered! the garlic naan was so moist and flavorful. I enjoyed my meal so much that I order biryani then next day! The biryani wasn't spectacular like the chicken tikka masala but I still enjoyed it. Great portion sizes. They advertise cooking classes! I am inclined to attend ones after eating here.

Yelp
D-Licious, unassuming, kinda hidden back. This is an absolute gem of a restaurant. By far, my favorite Indian restaurant I have visited so far. Ironically, it was recommended to me by someone who worked at a different Indian restaurant lol Temperature of spice runs the spectrum which is refreshing for sensitive palates where a lot of restaurants are trying to out heat each other. Even so, they can still make it spicy! Their chutneys were sooo good also. It is also reasonably priced which makes coming back more manageable. The staff was friendly, welcoming and sufficiently attentive. Well balanced attention and space. I saw a dude walk in with his new serious girlfriend. I know she was new and serious because she was with her mom and he was thanked for bringing in two new people. Good luck young sir, great choice to make a good impression. Go here!

Yelp
First timers......soooo good, sooo clean, sooo flavorful. We ate the chicken biryani, veggie curry (tons of veggies!) with jasmine rice and sweet naan with golden raisins, nuts and coconut in it. We will be back soon!

Yelp
Curry Kitchen is very good. The food is consistently tasty, the portions are large, and the staff are friendly. They will adjust spice level to your liking. The complimentary dippers that they give you at the beginning of your meal are delicous. The price point is fair, given the portion size. Why not 5 stars? The original staff were more attentive than the current staff. The last few times we visited, we were left waiting several times for a bit too long while staff was just standing up by the register. They are also a bit skimpy on the protein portions. Entree portions are large, but they barely put any meat in your dish. Also, the Mango Lassi is very small for the price. Lastly, the ambiance is pretty bare. Overall, these issues aren't enough to stop us from patronizing this restaurant. We do skip the mango Lassis now, but the food is still very good. With flavor like that, we can look past the other stuff. Especially in Pflugerville. There just aren't a lot of options. This one is one of the best ones in Pf by far. Also, it is important to note that there is NO kids' menu. This is disappointing, but not a deal breaker for us. I know for some it is.

Yelp
A hidden gem located towards the back near the Cinemark theaters. We got to try a few dishes here and all have been delicious. The food always comes out fresh, hot, and flavorful. They have a big selection of various items but my go-to is their selection of curries (eg. chicken korma). The chili naan is my favorite and pairs well with the curry. I also love their complimentary appetizer with the trio of sauces. Mango lassi is also superb and a perfect pairing with your meal. Happy to support a local business and the service have been friendly and attentive so far. Definitely my go-to local Indian spot for now.

Yelp
This place is amazing!!! Their customer service is the best ever!! So friendly and extremely fast service. Our usual is the butter chicken, lamb vindaloo and garlic naan. Their aloo paratha is also top notch. I would recommend this place 1000%!!!!

Yelp
Fining halal momos is always a blessing so I was really happy to visit this place. We tried the veg and chicken steamed momos as well as the chili momos and all of them were juicy, packed with flavor and exceptional. Garlic naan was basic and fine but the disappointment was the hot and sour soup my sister ordered. It didn't taste like the usual indo chinese spicy tangy concoction with crunchy noodle bits on top, instead it was mouth burning spicy and when we requested if something could be done since it wasn't edible they said no it's meant to be that spicy...? It was spicier than what we even get in india! Service was also quite slow but other than that everything was fine, parking was easy to find and space looked clean.
google avatar

Martin K.

Yelp
The good was very fast and tasty. The spice was spot on with a broad range of flavors. We had Channa masala and jalfrezi and both were full of flavor with the jalfrezi being the better of the two. The naan were perfectly cooked. The service was friendly and helpful!

Yelp
Beautiful and homey interior. My friend and I were greeted well and we choose our seats. Menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. Tried samosas for the first time here and it was lovely, especially with the three dipping sauces that come along with the included flakey appetizer (I'm unsure what the name is but it was delicious). This is my first experience with Nepali food and it was amazing! I got the chicken Momo and my friend got the chicken chow mein and they were so flavorful. I definitely will come back.
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
Definitely our go to spot for Nepali food that is nearby. I've had food for takeout from here a handful of times. Each time the food has been good. On this last visit, I tore up the chicken chili!!! It was so good. The chicken chow mein was delicious as well. It had a slight kick to it. The service is always on point and they are so welcoming. Just heads up, this place is always busy with to go or delivery orders. We have placed our order on Yelp and it was convenient to use.

Yelp
Really liked the food here ! Nice service and great choices ! The staff was helpful to make recommendations- thumbs up on the chicken tikka ! Also loved the chili paneer and naan

Yelp
Food was decent, liked their chicken momos, and their naan's and especially their local chicken curry

Yelp
My family and I dined in about two weeks ago. I'm not an expert in Indian cuisine, but I can without a doubt, say that this was the tastiest Indian food I have had. Not only was the food delicious, but the staff was amazing! Their naan and Tandoori Roti were moist and flavorful. We also tried their Chicken Biryani, Grilled Fish and Chicken Madras Curry. Everything was cooked perfectly, delightful and packed with the perfect amount of spices and flavors. I definitely recommend this restaurant for their fantastic food, clean environment and friendly staff.

Yelp
I've been wanting to come here for some time and it did not disappoint me. The service is great and they are super friendly and guided me through the menus. The smell soon as you walk in catches your attention right away. All the food had a lot of flavor. And I would recommend this spot! Bring a group so you can order everything to try.

Yelp
This place is really good. We've grabbed takeout a couple times. The first time I just kind of randomly picked something I had never heard of with a bunch of vegetables and that was pretty good. The second time I got the rogen josh and that was also pretty good. My girlfriend always gets the paneer tikka, and that rules. I eat the leftovers on that. Next time I will probably get the butter chicken. The food is very spicy but I like that. May be too spicy for some, especially children.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Nope. More food in Austin I've thrown out since I'm from New York and detest the food here. Cant wait to move back to a city with decent food. In NY sauces are served on the side so your samosas stay crisp. I was served a gross pile of mush because that's somehow acceptable in Austin. Gross. Won't return.
google avatar

Domino H.

Yelp
Everything we ordered was amazing, it tasted so good. The service was great, the owner even comes out to check on everyone and make sure everything is ok. It's a very nice and clean restaurant and the tables are spaced out where you aren't crammed up next to someone at another table.
google avatar

Al J.

Yelp
The restaurant is very clean. The service is ok. I was at the front door for about 10 mins before I just seated myself. A staff member walked by and never said anything, so I just seat down myself. I had the Chicken Chana Masala. It was ok. Not enough flavor that I am use to at other places, but it was still good.

Yelp
Love love love Great food. Great atmosphere. Great staff. Can't wait to go back. The lamb curry was fabulous and the garlic naan just makes your life happier.

Yelp
I was in town on business, had a delivery to my hotel. I had the butter chicken which is my all-time favorite it was hot it was delicious not a big fan of the texture of their Naan, but the flavor was good.

Kyla C B.

Yelp
SO yummy! My fav is the chicken biryani and butter chicken. The staff is extremely kind and attentive.

Yelp
This restaurant is lovely. Brightly colored, tastefully decorated and friendly service. This was my first time and I will definitely be back. Food was delicious and very large menu. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This is the best Indian Restaurant in the Austin area! Their dishes are beautifully prepared and served on beautiful antique typical Indian plates. It feels so fancy. The ambiance is cute and quaint with great service (I've actually had two dates here already, best date night place in my opinion). The owner comes out and greets everyone and checks in on us. Took my Dad here for valentines today because he loves Indian food and we had the best experience. Thank you curry Kitchen!

Yelp
Just discovered this place and was glad to find another Indian restaurant in Pflugerville. Nestled in a small plaza next to the Cinemark, they're currently offering dine in and takeout. We ordered the Goat Curry, Saag Paneer, and garlic naan as takeout. We arrived at the restaurant at the estimated time, but had to wait another 10-15 minutes. Also noticed that a lot of the tables, although empty, were not cleared, so maybe they were just low on staff that day. The goat curry was super good and the bone-in goat was really tender. A lot of meat with a nice amount of fat and collagen. The saag paneer was also delicious with the right texture. You can taste the spinach really well and feel the cheesy texture in the paneer, much more than at other places. The naan was on the fluffy side as opposed to thin and crispy, which was good for us as the fluffiness matches our personal preference. Definitely a quality Indian place and while there are many equally great Indian restaurants, Curry Kitchen could easily become our new go-to spot due to its location.

Best Indian food I have had in the a Austin area and consistently good as well. Service is professional and fast.

Yelp
Curry chicken at the time of this review is fairly new to the neighborhood. I love Indian food and I was happy to see the awesome Yelp reviews recommending Curry Kitchen and talking about how the awesome the food is. If you're like me you're probably reading this review while craving some tasty Indian food so I'll get straight to review. I ordered the curry goat which came with white rice. I also ordered naan, and chicken pakoda. The curry goat was most delectable! The goat was very tender and the curry was well flavor with a hint of heat. It wasn't too spicy, more on the mikd side for this dish. The curry goat was very rich in flavor and the consistency if the curry itself was not too thick or watery. It was just perfect. The portions was plentiful. You definitely get what you pay for. I highly recommend this dish. I highly recommend the curry goat at Curry Kitchen! The naan was good, you definitely get a nice sized portion. I thought it could have had more butter, but I'm not sure if the naan was supposed to be plain, since I ordered the most basic one. I still enjoyed the naan and by no means would I say don't try it. The chicken pakoda was okay it wasn't bad, but it didn't standout flavorwise it was more in the game side compared to the robust flavors of the curry goat. However the flavor was enhance with the tamarind like sauce that came with it. I'm looking forward to trying out the tandoori chicken and I would be making this my go to Indian food spot here in Pfluggerville!

Yelp
Wow! I am so glad to have found this spot. Everything was delicious. I ordered the chicken saag (with paneer added) along with garlic naan. The naan tasted a little undercooked and lacked a strong flavor but had a nice consistency on the outer crust. My chicken saag with paneer tasted phenomenal! The food tasted fresh and was clearly made with love. I'm so happy to have found a solid Indian restaurant in the north Austin area. Also, the staff was very friendly. The chef even came out to greet our table.

Yelp
We enjoyed our vegetarian dinner here last night. The ambiance is nice for being in a strip mall - music, cozy booths, soft lighting. They started the meal with a crispy papadum and a trio of sauces that was super tasty. We enjoyed our appetizers the most - gobi manchurian was our favorite dish of the night and we tried sev puri chat for the first time. Entrees were veg momos and saag paneer with garlic naan. Everything was very well spiced and flavored, although the naan and saag were a bit forgetable to me. We'll be back to try more appetizers, and probably some masala/tomato based curries (our go-to).

Yelp
Everything m'y husband and I had was soooooooo good. We were stopping in for a "snack" as we waited for a business meeting to begin and man are we glad we did. I live South Austin and I'm willing to make the drive once per week that's how good, hot, and fresh the food was. Highly recommend! We're so excited to try more dishes

Yelp
Best Indian food in America outside of the bay area. They have pav bhaji! They have peshawari naan! They have a mango lassi to die for! I love this place.

LeAnn T.

Yelp
I've sat down to eat a few times but I usually order to takeout. The flavors are always well balanced and on point. They run a little on the hotter side. I like spicy food but the hot made my ears burn. lol we love this place and it's always in the rotation! They give so much food there is always enough leftovers for a lunch the next day.

Austin W.

Yelp
We did a pickup order. Vegetable Curry, Naan, Lamb Rogan Josh. Overall it wasn't *bad*, but I would say I was disappointed in contrast to many of these reviews. The Veggie curry was very good (per my wife). We had asked for that mild, and that's what we got. Solid. I don't know if its the pack-up or what but the Naan was...not good. First Naan i've ever had that I would call 'a bit soggy'. Online I had asked for my Rogan Josh to be 'medium' spicy. Trust me when I say I am no lightweight on spicy. I have intentionally ordered things where I had to assure the server I would still pay if I tapped out -- and I ate most of those dishes. This Rogan Josh was *absurdly* spicy. Like they just accidentally dropped what they were dispensing it out of straight into the dish, shrugged, and shipped it out anyways. It was hardly edible. I barely finished a third of it before reminding myself that I hadn't signed up for a capsaicin-eating competition. Could just be bad luck. I might try them again sometime, though I'll be sure to clarify the spice levels when I am there.

Yelp
I came into this place on a total whim. I had just moved to Austin and after a long day of furniture shopping nearby I needed food - Curry Kitchen was nearby and at this point (a year ago - yes i am very late to writing this review) pretty new! It only had a handful of reviews but I figured lets give it a shot. I am so glad I did because WOW the food here is AMAZING. Anytime I have friends in town, I make a point of taking them to / ordering from Curry Kitchen because I want everyone to know that Pflugerville has the best Indian food I have tried in the US! Try everything, enjoy it and write a review because the place deserves all the hype.

Yelp
Good food and service. Don't let the location put you off. My party included three people who grew up and lived most of their lives in different areas of India. They loved the food, and so did the rest of the party. The next time I'm visiting Austin, I'll stop in again. Recommended.

Yelp
My husband and I was driving through the city and craved some Indian food! Did a quick Google search which lead us to Curry Kitchen! The service was great but the FOOOODDD?!?! Omg, that sh*t was good AF. We started off coconut shrimp and veggie samosas and followed that up with chicken biryani and the chicken momos!! Everything was delicious from the food, to the sauces, to the mango lassi. They were very reasonably priced and everything was worth it. So glad we stopped here and can't wait to come back and try other dishes on their menu!!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Got a to go for the below things and really confused why the hype: Chicken pakora : more batter than chicken, salt is barely there; very dry Gobi manchurian - definitely not good. Too much batter, not enough flavor. No balance between the tangy, spicy, salty tastes. Chicken choila - this one was pretty good Aloo paratha - haven't tried yet Paneer paratha - one of the worst things tried, Right from how unappetizing it looks to the dry, not well cooked through roti. It was more like a paneer naan. Lacha paratha- haven't tried yet Saffron lemon rice - nothing like lemon rice- can barely taste the lemon. It's the usual basmati rice tossed in some mustard, coriander, little bit of lemon. There isn't enough salt in the dish. Also very dry and oily.

Cindy M.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant!! Food was exceptionally tasty. The server was very friendly and helpful with food selections as well as spice intensities. Will definitely be coming here again!!
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
I am full! Let's start by saying that! Fiancé had lamb saag and I had Tandoori Paneer Tikka. We also had Sev Puri Chat and Pani Puri as appetizers along with garlic naan and Pshwari naan. Everything was good. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive... filled water and beverage glasses. Second time back and honestly, I think this is my favorite Indian restaurant to go to!
google avatar

AJ B.

Yelp
Omg! Yesterday was my first time here and I will definitely be making this my go to spot. I got the chicken saag & naan, it was so delicious it is truly the best Indian food I have had in Austin this far. I ordered ahead online & selected curbside to go. The food was ready when I arrived and packed well; staff was friendly and quick! Highly recommend

Yelp
This place seems to be fairly new and is good too. Their service is better than expected for a fairly new place. We ordered aloo tiki chat and sev puri as starters and both tasted good.aloo tiki was better. We order veg momo's and they tasted fresh. We also ordered gobi manchurian and veg chow mien. We asked them to be spicy and their spice level was very good. Will surely come again to try other items soon.

Yelp
I became aware of this place (located near I-35 in the Cinemark plaza) during the ice storm, when I asked them if they would donate some meals to senior citizens in our community without water and power and they agreed--no questions asked. So right there, this new business already had a warm spot in my heart. We ordered takeout last night and absolutely loved the food. Standout dishes for me were: samosa chat, saag paneer and Peshawari naan (which is stuffed with nuts and golden raisins). My husband loved his perfectly spicy lamb rogan josh. My least favorite was the chicken tikka masala -- it wasn't bad, just will try some other options next time. The menu is massive, covering Indian, Nepalese and Indo Chinese cuisines. I am looking forward to exploring more of the dishes, but I already know the samosa chat is going to be my go-to. I'm so happy to have this business, which is obviously full of heart, in our community.

Yelp
Friendly staff who recommended good dishes. Their dishes were not too spicy. It was nice to be able to try a variety from the menu without worrying about heat. The Saag Paneer was great!

Yelp
Finally after 15 years of trying local Indian joints....this is by far the best. I debated saying anything because I don't want there to be long lines lol. The service is fantastic. I'm so happy to find a place to work my way through the menu...

Yelp
Omg I kept hearing about this place from the Pflugerville Foodies FB page and I just had to check it out. I am in LOVE with the food. Immediately after we sat down, the very kind waitress brought out their version on chips with three different types of chutneys: mint, tamarind, and onion. My mom and I gobbled them up and savored them all. So tasty! We ordered a round of samosas, chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, roti, and of course, garlic naan. The potions were HUGE! The chicken was very juicy and tender. The curries were incredibly savory and just delicious. If licking my fingers was socially acceptable, I'd do just that! The chef came out and made sure everything tasted right. I could not sum up into words just how much I enjoyed everything on the table! I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends and will definitely be making this my go to spot!
