Hello Yelpers! Let's talk about where you can find THE BEST GARLIC NAAN ON THE PLANET! If you live in Wesley Chapel, NC and have seen this restaurant and decided to skip it, YOU ARE MISSING OUT! This food is so delicious, I selfishly debated not writing this to keep it to myself. Yep, I will not lie. I did. After my 25th consistent visit, I just couldn't deny the people. So here we go.
Curry has a lovely intimate aesthetic inside. You aren't going to see more than 40 ppl inside. Everything feels authentic to the origin of each dish. If you don't believe me, get the butter chicken or chickpea curry if you'd like to be safe. I've tried multiple items and they haven't disappointed once. The service is always on point, and now that I'm a regular, they already know what I'm getting. That's the stuff of legend when it comes to restaurants.
My favorite dish(es) is the Lamb Biryani - heat index 6 (Yes I forgot to add that you can tell them how spicy you'd like it ranging from 1 - 10 so please don't like spice stop you from experiencing this blessing. 2) Tikka Masala - heat index 6 (HEAR ME OUT if you love dipping THE BEST GARLIC NAAN in a rich flavorFULL sauce, this dish is FOR YOU. 3) Butter Chicken is a strong runner up for you sauce dippers. I'd choose heat index 6-7 depending on if I'm feeling risky. 4) Chickpea Curry - which is still masterfully flavorFULL heat index - 7.
About this heat index, upon my first visit I order the Rasila Gobi (fried cauliflower) at heat index 8 with the chickpea curry at heat index 8. My mouth was on fire, but I could not stop eating this deliciousness. So please learn from my mistake. The Rasila Gobi (MUST HAVE) has a rich flavor that lingers and intensifies with each bite. Now, my safe zone is at 6 because 7, is too close to 8 (Haha). If you love flavor, but not spice, you are a 1 - 2 person. If you like to dabble a little, 3 - 5. I truly hope this helps!
As for the naan and lamb biryani, I've had this dish from multiple states, including NYC for your hardcore folks out there. THE BEST IS RIGHT HERE. Please Dine In to experience that garlic naan (IMPORTANT). It comes out hot and fresh with the perfect texture and flavor. Taking it to-go (still good) would do your tastebuds a disservice due to the humidity inside the takeout container (if you know, you know). It is truly something special. Now, this Lamb Biryani will hit every single taste bud you have with so much pleasure, you will holler out "MmmMmm". That lamb cuts like butter. This dish comes with two kinds of sauce that are both differently delicious and unique. I throw both on the dish, mixing in the fresh red onion, then squeezing the lemon all over the top.
Curry closes mid day as part of their culture so check the hours before you head over. This is a winner people! From the atmosphere, to the plating of each dish, to the music, and service... it's just a WINNER. My recommendation is the Rasila Gobi appetizer, Lamb Biryani entree, with THE BEST GARLIC NAAN ON THE PLANET.
