The 26 Best Restaurants In São Paulo - São Paulo - The Infatuation

"Cuscuz is a cornmeal dish similar to its Middle Eastern namesake that’s popular in the northeast of Brazil, where it’s eaten any time of the day. Unsurprisingly, the menu in this casual cafe-style spot near a tree-lined square focuses on the fluffy grain, with plenty of delicious proteins to go with it. The best is a sun-dried beef stew. It's soft and oniony, served with a spicy slaw, beetroot-dyed boiled eggs, and a slab of halloumi-like coalho cheese." - tome morrissy swan

I had the pulled beef cuscus. The beef has a very heartwarming texture, I loved it. The cuscus is made of corn instead of flower which was interesting for me to try as a middle eastern. Overall, flavourful and hearty dish. I would recommend. The cilantro soda was epic! I wish it was bigger. Perhaps it’s not always on the menu as it’s made in-house. But I’d ask for it. The atmosphere is bright and peaceful as typical of the neighbourhood. Service was excellent! English is well spoken by at least one of the staff there.

Very expensive and the food is meh. The original northeastern food is delicious and rich, this is the gentrified version and is way watered down. Service wasn't great, the guy was not polite to me and slow to get our order.

Wow! Simply delicious, the portions were just about right, not too small, not too large. I had lunch there, we had to wait around 30min to be sited (we were 3) on a Saturday. Despite that, the environment was just perfect, local music from the northeast playing, great service, great drinks. The only thing I didn’t love was the desert, but still it was good. A must if you want try cuscuz.

Excellent food, centered around cuscus and Northern Brazilian food generally. Seems popular to the locals and the chef has apparently appeared on the Brazilian Iron Chef.. ensuring an enthusiastic and loyal clientel.

I arrived late, 1h to the closing time. The staff was very friendly, I never felt rushed. The food, OMG, the food!! It was fantastic and the drink Cajuina just amazing. I highly recommend Cuscuz da Irina. It is very close to the Vila Madalena sub station, but a bit hidden, so you might get lost. But it is definitely worth to look for it.
