Custom Burger

The food isn’t as terrible as the reviews claim. The fries are reasonable and cold and not tasty 😱😱😱😱 I especially noticed how spoiled it was, like a corpse. It felt like I was eating a dead dog. A disgusting eatery, I don't recommend going there.

Jeez, I thought service in the deep south was slow. Food might have been better if I ate it before waiting an additional 15 minutes for my milkshake. Incredibly slow service. I chose CB Burger because there was no line. I figured I would get my food fast. NOPE. OVER 30 MINUTES TOTAL WAIT FOR BURGER, FRIES AND SHAKE. I figured out why the shake took so long. Dude was making my shake with one hand while talking in his phone. He was literally standing there talking on the phone in-between his many breaks of moving my milkshake container to different spots in the counter. Maybe this guy was challenged with the shake machine. It took him about 2 minutes to figure out how to put his glove on. I challenge CB Burger corporate look at the security footage on 10-11-24 at 2:34pm. Here is a pick of shake man grabbing on phone.

The food isn’t as terrible as the reviews claim. The fries are reasonable and the milkshake is also not bad. The burger is quite average. Its biggest problem is the lack of value: $20 for a mediocre burger and $7 for a milkshake is ridiculous. If prices were 30-40% lower, it would be acceptable. All other places at the terminal also looked quite awful, so in general, there is not much to choose from. Overall, the burgers are not a complete disaster, but keep your expectations quite low.

Slow service. Food is lukewarm. Burger barely cooked through. One tiny teaspoon of coleslaw on chicken sandwich. JetBlue please find a better option!

Horrible Horrible Horrible!!!! Worst burger I have ever had. Dry! burnt! Cold! Fries were burnt also and soggy. And before the owner comes and apologize and promise to make improvements, I just read through all the comments and realize you have been saying that for months and still I have the experience today. Wish I had read the reviews before ordering

Food is delicious with plentiful portions. Price is a bit steep, but normal for the location. They have an order online option.

Wow JFK has no good restaurants in this terminal 5. Custom Burgers was pretty bad. The service is incredibly slow with no one working there. I saw my order sitting there for 10 minutes before anyone came by to give it to me. I got their mushroom burger which was quite lackluster. It was a cold burger with a few mushrooms thrown on. No sauce, no cheese, nothing. Their tater tots were frozen cold and soggy, as if they never made it to the fryer to become crispy. The wings were not bad. 5 big wings covered in Buffalo sauce was actually pretty decent. Overall, bad restaurant though! I would avoid this if possible.

I decided to snag a burger quickly, or so I thought, before catching my connecting flight. Once I ordered, it actually took over 25 minutes to get my order. The people behind the cashier just didn’t seem to be in any kind of hurry or really care. I got my burger and had to start eating it right away before boarding my flight. I couldn’t believe it, the burger and fries, both, were cool. Not even warm. I ate the meal quickly, but felt disappointed. I’m not sure I would visit this burger joint in the airport again in the future.

The food was good but it took over 20 minutes for a breakfast sandwich when it had a very small line which is a bit slow when you have a flight to catch.

Soggy fries, rude service, dirty area not to mention they messed up my order and refused to remake it. DO NOT GO

Was skeptical to try this place out in Terminal 5 from all the negative reviews but saw that it had the longest line in the food area so decided to commit. It was genuinely much better than expected. The fries were decently good and the burger reminded me of the ones you would get at school. They ran out of onion rings which was a bummer but it was fine as the fries made up for it. My friends tried out H&H bagel and was hugely disappointed and were eyeing my 5 star meal. Would recommend this place to all those starving at JFK terminal 5.

My expectations for this were already pretty low (airport food), and I was bracing myself for the worst (bad Yelp reviews). Pros: - getting food here is pretty quick (you order at the restaurant, pay, then go back to the restaurant to pick up your order) - their fried chicken sandwich was cheaper than the cold prepackaged sandwiches from the fridge cases (~$9 vs $12+). - no food poisoning because they cooked the heck out of it Cons: - "fried chicken" was really more like a giant chicken nugget - dry because they cooked the heck out of it - 1/4 of the chicken had a strange flavor to it (threw that part out) Overall, I wasn't impressed. I'd probably order somewhere else next time, or just pay extra for the cold sandwich.

We ordered through the iPad and then you pay elsewhere. Once you get your receipt, you'll need to wait in line at another section to pay. I got the chili hot dog and cheese fries. It was literally smothered and looked disgusting. It was also cold! It seems like they had it out the whole time and just bagged it once someone orders it. I was a bit put off by some of the reviews for Custom Burger, but upon seeing the long lines at JFK, I figured I would give it a try since there were limited food options for a nighttime flight anyway. Service is nonexistent - you place your order on an IPad and later pay at a separate counter. I wasn't disillusioned enough to think that this would be a good burger by any means, but I wasn't expecting it to be as bad as it was. The burger is cold, dry, and reminiscent of public school burgers (but even those are hot!). It comes with a limp piece of lettuce, some barely melted cheeese, and a slice of tomato. No sauce, no ketchup - nothing to help with how dry the burger was. Honestly after two bites, I couldn't bring myself to finish the burger even though it was about $11 after tax. Save your money & go get something from Starbucks instead.

Ordered two burgers w cheese, tomato, ketchup. After waiting 30 minutes for order to come out, the burgers were incinerated, no cheese, no ketchup, no tomato. Don't bother with place, it's a rip off with crappy service and worse food.

Got a cheeseburger and fries, so yummy. I was surprised by how delicious it was for airport food. It is expensive but what airport food isn't expensive. This was cheaper than buying the prepackaged food at cibo, so you definitely get more bang for buck here. The fries were really good, must be the water haha.

Absolutely disgusting. Ordered a veggie burger and cheese fries (in the photo) to go. Ended up paying $20 with tax. They don't even have the common sense to wrap food properly. The cheese fries turned into mush within 15 mins because they didn't pack the cheese separately. Just covered fries with cheese, wax paper, and into a brown paper bag.

The wait was way too long, the order was mixed up, and then the meat was cold, the gluten free bun just fell apart in my hands. The fries seemed like they were made last night. Just HORRIBLE!

I wish I could give them zero stars. The owner should be ashamed to put out inedible food. We spent almost $30 for two inedible burgers, tots and a soda. Burgers were tiny, hard, cold and the plastic knife I used to try to cut it broke off! At least the tots were freshly made. And the service was on par with other venues at the terminal -very, very bad. At least they were not solicitations tips.

Should have read the reviews before eating here. It's not like the food is inedible, but the beef patty was incredibly dry and overcooked. Also was undersalted. There are definitely better options in Terminal 5.

The reviewer who said that the food wasn't inedible was wrong. A 25 minute wait for a hockey puck of a burger and a congealed lump of tater tots. T5, you have fallen so far.

Awful. Way over cooked (hours ago?). Even the cheese was crunchy. Bun was ok. Middle school cafeteria vibe.

So it's starts with a show... yes like dinner and a show. That would be a comedy as the staff are fumbling all over themselves in slow motion. And I mean really slow motion. Sadly as they take so much time to prepare what ever it is they prepared one would think it would be good. It is not good, it's barely above edible. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Your body will thank you for it.

I love how they are environmentally conscious here and started composting some of my lettuce before it could hit my tastebuds, waste not! Burger was pretty good.

the most disgusting burger and fries probably made a few hours before they served it to me! took it back to show the server who saw me coming and turned her back on me! disgusting disappointing and appauling service and food do not go here !!!! and not cheap either

Worst burger I have ever had! You order on an ipad, pay in a second long line, if you order a drink, that's in a third location. My expectations eating in the airport are usually not to high..but this is horrible. Burger was over cooked, dry and cold, fries were cold, bun was cold and I think I actually feel sick. Just don't go here!!

Ordered food and waited over 40 minutes. Burgers were ok, but they messed up my order (I ordered fries, they didn't come with them and I already gave the receipt to the front). Don't waste your time here

Fairly certain I reviewed the wrong location - except same restaurant based on the bad reviews lol - so I'll write here too. This is a warning to anyone going to this airport!! Do not go here. Worst burger of my life - and I've had some awful burgers. Seriously, worse than the burgers they served in high school and college. The only reason they are still in business is because it is a complete tourist trap. Extremely misleading. Cold, tasteless, worst quality meat, the MOST overpriced for what you get. Yikes. Go get a pastry from Starbucks or something - do not waste your money.

Absolutely awful burger. Bun was cold and burger was half warm and half cold and hard as a hockey puck. I felt Sick after eating half. Tater tots were meh. Note: I asked for a refund and was refunded in full. Hoping I don't vomit.

Worst burger on the planet. Took one bite of it and did something I have never done before, took it back to the counter and demanded my money back. It was cold and inedible and no, I didn't want another one. Staff was rude and uncaring and I had to argue with the cashier to get a refund. After flying for 12 hours I was starving. Wasted so much time trying to get a refund that I didn't have enough time to stand in another line for food. This company should be forced to close at JFK airport.

Hands down the worst food on the planet. The only favor I can offer this place is 1 star because a zero star isn't an option. Don't waste your time, please, I'm begging you just because you think you can get a quick bite...

Should have read reviews first. Don't eat here. Burgers and fries were completely cold - small and sad looking. Choose another place

If you like getting screamed at and having the worst hamburger of your entire life, than this is the place to go! (they don't tell you if they've run out of something, and refuse to give you a refund.)
