Great ambiance and the welcome and customer service was just top notch. The drinks were amazing. The place will make you love Jamaican culture if you haven't already. Go visit them if you haven't already. Their happy hour from 3 to 6 PM on Tuesdays to Sundays is yummy that's all. Shout out to our server, Aniyah, she was amazing. Give her a raise Big Boss!

Google
Awesome place with great Jamaican food and live music. Owner is very down to earth and the staff is very attentive. Everyone was very friendly. Jaylin was my server and she was awesome. She was very professional and accurate with taking the order, food came out exactly as requested and she checked in regularly to make sure I was good to go. Very safe atmosphere. Will definitely return.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cutlass Grille serves up authentic, flavorful Jamaican cuisine that hits the spot every time! I had the oxtails with rice & peas and fried plantains the oxtails were tender, well seasoned, and smothered in rich, savory gravy. The plantains were perfectly caramelized and sweet, and the rice was full of flavor. The tropical drink was refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive. If you’re craving true Caribbean flavors in a warm, relaxed setting, this is the place to be!

The service was somewhat slow but not a deal killer. Delicious food and drink. One of my many food rules if they have a whole fish then get it. Roasted red snapper. Wasn't too spicy. Had a little heat but not much. Plantains were delicious and sweet.

Google
We’ve been here many times but this was our first time at their nee location. Three times the space, but the same great food. Best Jerk chicken we’ve had. Not too spicy but full of flavor. Lunch specials are extremely reasonable and the staff is friendly. Definitely worth trying!

Google
It's always A1 service, food, and the atmosphere is always a vibe! No complaints about this place at any time!! Appetizers for the table: Mini meat pies; Jerk chicken wings; Lamb chops; Oyster Rockefeller...NOTHING LEFT! EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!

Google
Nice spot. Slow service. Waiter was not attentive. When I brought it to his attention. He did a complete 180 and provided 200 percent better service. I wish him luck in the future. Food was great. My husband said the lamb chops had a little bit too much pepper. But they were tender and cooked well. If i had been at home i might have licked the plate of the gravy that came with my stew chicken. Mac and cheese on point. Atmosphere is definitely a carribean vibe.

Pam

Google
The jerkkkk lamb chops were tender and flavorful. We really enjoyed the ox tail gravy over rice, along with the fresh greens & hot french fries. The paradise cocktail & jamaican cowboy drinks were delicious as well. Oh and our waiter, Mark provided outstanding service. He was attentive, polite & knowledgeable. We will be returning in the near future. The location is kid friendly with outdoor seating available on a beautiful that also has ample parking.

Yelp
Flavorful, festive, and always reliable--Cutlass Grille never disappoints Cutlass Grille is one of our family's go-to spots for a consistently delicious meal. We've been here many times, and it's always a hit. The food is flavorful and reliable--every dish we've tried has been tasty, especially the rasta pasta, which is a standout favorite. Cocktails are another highlight. On our most recent visit, I had the Bob Marley and the Rum Punch--both were vibrant, refreshing, and perfectly mixed. Everyone at the table enjoyed their drinks and their meals, which is saying something! The space is warm and welcoming, and the service is solid--friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Whether you're celebrating or just craving a great dinner, Cutlass Grille delivers every time.

Yelp
The food was good.... Oxtails were amazing and they gave me more than enough. Little pricey, but I would definitely go back to try more on the menu....

Yelp
I have been twice before here, but not on a Friday, where there was a live band. The band was great, food, and ambiance was great. Service was good. I'm going to keep it short, since I have already reviewed this establishment, but I found an aluminum wire in my leftover mac and cheese the next day (leftover for lunch). It looks like stainless steel scrubbing pad. Also, the women's bathroom was atrocious. Toilet paper on the floor, non flushed toilets with #2 inside. I almost lost my appetite. Managers please keep up with the cleanliness and safety. I would like to come back again for the food.

Yelp
An awesome birthday dinner with a lovely live band. The ladies of the band sung a beautiful "Happy Birthday" with a remix. Then there was Sherry our lovely waitress. The atmosphere was live and mature for a Saturday night. The food was just as expected...DELICIOUS!!! Thank You

Yelp
Came here on Sunday for lunch. I sat at the bar and Jennifer was my server. She was great. Ordered a Free Verse hazy IPA form Virginia Beer Co. On this occasion I ordered the Jerk Lamb Chops appetizer. If I had ordered it with a side it would have been enough for a meal. Five stars, it was absolutely amazing. Enjoyed the reggae music and the island vibe. Got to come back here when I'm more hungry.

Yelp
Visited Cutlass Grille this weekend for a birthday dinner, and it was a great experience! We had a party of about 17 people. The person organizing the dinner called ahead to make sure we'd have seating, and the staff combined tables so we could all sit together. Initially, they didn't want to seat us until everyone arrived, but once they learned we were surprising the birthday honoree, they let the rest of us (about 15 people) go ahead and sit. That was appreciated! Our drink orders were taken pretty quickly. Pro tip: Happy Hour runs until 6 PM on Saturdays. I went with the Red Sangria--so good! For food, my family ordered the jerk chicken with collard greens and rice & peas. I had the jerk lamb chops (my fave!) with cabbage and rice & peas. My son had the kids' fried shrimp with fries and added a side of mac and cheese. Everything was flavorful and well-seasoned, as always. Our server was friendly and helpful, and overall, I had a great time celebrating with family. I'll definitely be back especially for those lamb chops! Yelp
I got the oxtail, rice and peas, cabbage with an extra side of plantains for $42. To be honest, this was a waste of money. The oxtails were overly salty and not tender. Didn't taste like authentic Jamaican food AT ALL. Not trying to be rude but It was actually disgusting and way too expensive. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because of the amount of food they give you!

Yelp
This place is is a whole vibe. The live music and food was everything!. The staff was fast and ND friendly and the restroom was clean. I will return.

Yelp
I absolutely love Cutlass! I tell anyone looking for a great Caribbean place to visit here. They have live music every now and then and even the regular music is a nice vibe while eating. I know some people have had a long wait time but it honestly depends on the day and time that you go. I've been seated quickly on each time I've gone there. The food is consistently great in my opinion and I've tried numerous things from their menu. Even ordering to go is great. The people are nice even on a busy day. I definitely recommend this for any people visiting here, family gatherings..I even a birthday dinner or celebration dinner.
google avatar

Yelp
The service was like family. The live music was like a family reunion. The food was like being back in Jamaica and made w love. Only sad thing was they ran out of chicken! the crab stuffed salmon was buttery good, the best cabbage I've had in my life, fresh bread, and my babe said the chops almost made his eyes role into the back of his head- I aint having that! Can't wait to be back!

Yelp
I want to be clear this rating is purely based on service only. I LOVE cutlass and the food never disappoints. But today we had waiter Mark who seemed super aloof. And while he apologized saying there was "so much going on" I on several occasions witnessed him lolli-gagging in the kitchen and around the restaurant. Every time we need something refills, napkins, to go plate and the check we had to look around from him. For our to go utensils and tab we finally asked another waiter who brought the containers. Mark brought the terminal to our table and left it for us to complete payment on our own which we had an issue but figured it. Thankfully we aren't the type to walkout on a check. If you are going to charge automatic gratuity your service experience should be top tier. As many times as I've been here I've never needed to write a review so hopefully so extra training is provided and the next experience will be better (fingers crossed).

Yelp
The restaurant is spacious and offers different seating options. The staff is friendly depending on the day and person. The food can be a hit or miss. The lamb chops were not good today, a lot of fat and no meat.

Yelp
Tuesday 8/13/2024 I came across this spot on a tik tok comment section and after looking through the menu and photos I was highly anticipating my visit. I came for a dine-in visit which automatically comes with an 18% service charge to the bill. I was with my family and we arrived during their 3-6 pm happy hour (HH) so I ended up trying plenty of different items. The service was okay and the food came out pretty quick. I had/tried the HH coconut shrimp $10, HH grouper tacos $11, HH hot wings $10, HH jerk lamb chops $12, HH jerk shrimp tacos $9, Rasta pasta $14.69, jerk chicken (white meat) with 1 side: plantains $15.99, curry goat with 2 sides: rice & peas and collard greens $24.39, carrot cake $9.39, mango bread pudding $10.39, and the plantain foster $10.69. - coconut shrimp: it was decent. - grouper tacos: it was average. - Hot wings: tasted like average Buffalo wings from your local pizza spot (nothing special). - Jerk lamb chops: these were GREAT and definitely my favorite of all the items I tried. Also the green sauce was a great addition. - Jerk shrimp tacos: it was average. - Rasta pasta: this was pretty good and had nice flavor to it. - Jerk chicken (white meat): it was alright but I've had plenty better. It was also a bit cold and the portions were much smaller than I expected based on the price tag. - Plantains: they're good but getting ONLY 5 pieces for a nearly $5 price is ridiculous. - Curry goat: it was decent but there was just too much bones and not enough goat. - Rice & peas: they were solid. - Collard greens: these were a huge disappointment, tasted very bland. - Carrot cake: it was okay but I didn't think it was worth it. - Mango bread pudding: easily the best of the 3 desserts I had and it was pretty solid. I think it would've been ALOT better with ice cream and a sauce that was more similar to the plantain foster. - Plantain foster: it's just 6 piecies of plantain in a sweet syrup type of sauce with 2 scoops of ice cream. It was solid but I was expecting it to come with a baked dessert of some sort but that's on me. - (Bonus) Mac n cheese: sampled some from my cousin and it was alright to me but he really enjoyed it. Overall, the food was very expensive for the portions you get and only a few of the items standout in terms of flavor and taste. My food expectations weren't met but it was alright. Also there was a card issue after splitting the bill which had to get itself sorted out with the owner 2 days later. If you're interested in trying this place out, I'd recommend you come for the happy hour or order takeout.

Yelp
This was my second time going to Cutlass this week! The first time was for lunch. I had the Stewed Chicken with Mac n cheese and cabbage. It was delicious. It was seasoned to perfection. It was the middle of the day in the summer so with the help of the Jamaican Cowboy and the music, I felt like I was at my favorite spot in Montego Bay. My second visit was Saturday night. We caught the end of happy hour so we could be there when the live music started. It turned out there was a guy playing R&B on the calypso. He is so talented. This visit I wanted to try the Red Snapper. There were about 4 different ways it could have been prepared but of course I chose stewed! It did not disappoint. I got mac n cheese and collard greens this time and ordered the charbroiled oysters for an app. What a vibe!!

Yelp
Anytime we're at Cutlass Grille, it's a great time. Music is on point, hostess and waiters are excellent and the food is second to none!!! We've have just about everything on the menu and the drinks are A1!

Yelp
I recently had lunch at the Cutlass Grill and I had a great experience. The staff was friendly and helpful with menu questions and suggestions. The restaurant was clean and so were the bathrooms. I ordered the Jerk Chicken and I enjoyed it very much. Their prices are very reasonable for what is offered.

Yelp
Such a fun vibe with great food. We ordered the brown stew chicken and jerk chicken entrees and everything was delicious. The Mac and cheese was the perfect texture and not too salty. I love the decor around the restaurant as well. The staff was super cool and attentive. I also like that they have happy hour most days from 3-6. The $6.50 drink specials were strong; we had a rum punch and negril sunset! I have no complaints here. A great place to hangout and get good food for a decent price.
google avatar

Ros C.

Yelp
Trued the lamb chops and they had great flavor, the mini beef patties; good just not exactly beef patty tasting, however they were good. Also tried the stew chicken with rice n peas and cabbage; really good. As for the drinks...chile they know how to pour the liquor. The rum punch was a thumbs up honey. Would I go back...absolutely!!!

Yelp
The food is amazing every time, the service is always on point too. I go often, Friday is my favorite day tho cuz they have the live band

Yelp
We need this restaurant in New Orleans! Being from a Caribbean influenced culture, I thought we had the best greens and southern style food. After dinner here... we are missing some more flavor. Dinnner, drinks and dessert were all YUMMM!¡! The ambiance was very relaxing with fitting music. Service was super friendly. When I'm back in town I'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Lionel M.

Yelp
Food was incredible. We had the ribeye and lamb chops and the Caribbean flavors were distinct and authentic. Our next visit will be all about the drinks, can't wait. We did take our baby with us to lunch and we immediately got a high chair for him. The bathrooms are also equipped with changing tables which we had to use, so we found the baby amenities to be a nice touch.

Yelp
I was excited to find a Jamaican place near my house and couldn't wait to try it. Stopped by after shopping to get dinner to go. For me, I ordered the brown stew redsnapper. For $37 and only 1 side, it was a little pricey. But I was craving it so I gave it a try. The food was delicious until I found a long hair in my fish! That was disappointing! Needless to say, I won't be going back here again. They need to do better!

Yelp

Yelp
Cutlass grill could easily be a five star location if they made a few minor adjustments... but let's talk about what I love first the food was really good, the waiter we had was new but really sweet and personable. The vibe was great good music and really welcoming. Happy hour was good from 3 to 6 even on Saturday and you don't have to sit at the bar... the Grouper Tacos check out the photo with cabbage and mango chutney yeah nice... we had the oxtails and rice and with peas, that was good but wasn't authentic Jamaican no dumplings, the gravy was made with kitchen bouquet or something not from the oxtails or enhanced but it was still good just not authentic. The other sides were part of the reason it wasn't a 5 the green beans were blanched then grilled but no seasoning none not even butter, and the Mac and cheese it's something yall do for Americans it's not really yall thang but I always try it. And it's made with cream sauce and not baked so if you like that it was good. They could use a deep cleaning, although simple appearance is really clean they have some maintenance issues and can use a good old floor and base boards scrubbing. But seriously I would go back food was good and people were really nice.

Autumn C.

Yelp
I had high hopes for Cutlass, but unfortunately, the experience left more to be desired than devoured. While the presentation was nice and the food arrived warm, the flavor was shockingly bland for a Caribbean kitchen. I ordered the crab baked oysters, brown-stewed fish , rice and peas, greens, and a Bob Marley cocktail--each dish lacking the bold spice and soul the cuisine is known for. To add insult to injury, my final bill came to $104, with the fish market price being $60 as well as mysterious additional charges padded in and a 15% gratuity automatically included--despite subpar service and no prior notice. For that price, I expected heat, heart, and hospitality. What I got instead was mediocrity with a side of markup. Maybe it's better on their club nights that's more advertised than their food on their social media page.
google avatar

Chris. W.

Yelp
Took a while to be seated despite the restaurant being empty. Food took 45 minutes, our waitress assured us our ticket was next up so we assumed food was cooked fresh to order. The food arrived cold. We boxed it to go and left. We ordered wings, children's nuggets and fries, cabbage, oxtails and rice. There wasn't much reason to ask for it redone. I had already settled on something I did not want due to several items being "86ed" in their tablets. Not the best ambience, everyone is seated super close to each other. Not a whole lot to look at except other families and that's weird.
google avatar

Tiffany H.

Yelp
This is my second time around. This time I did take out Vs eating in. I ordered the exact same thing Oxtail with rice and peas and a side of plantains. My order was ready within 15 mins so I didn't wait long. I absolutely have fallen in love with this restaurant. I live in VA Beach and this place is in Chesapeake. There are several others spots I can get same thing from but they just don't compare. Highly recommend you give this a try

Tee G.

Yelp
I ordered a to go plate of oxtail and it was amazing. As someone who was born and raised in Brooklyn NY I can tell you that they have authentic flavorful oxtail. They're a bit pricey, they charge extra for sides such as plantains and Mac and cheese but the food is good. I will definitely be checking them out again and this time to try their curry goat.

Danielle R.

Yelp
Was seated immediately. Sat for 20 minutes and wasn't even given anything to drink or even told that someone would be with me.

Yelp
This restaurant is cute and definitely has a nice island vibe. The food was pretty good. I ordered the dark meat jerk chicken with green beans and collards. My husband ordered the jerk pork, green beans and macaroni and cheese. He said the pork needed a sauce but was good. He really liked the macaroni and cheese and his green beans. My chicken was delicious. It was a little spicy. Not spicy to me, but others who can't eat spicy shouldn't get this dish. I felt that the green beans needed a tad bit more salt. It was missing something. Perhaps add garlic to it for that razzle dazzle it needs. The collards were ok. They needed a little salt. I would maybe recommend giving hot sauce and vinegar to the costumer if they order those. Or keep condiments like that on the table. My husband got the mango bread pudding and said it was very delicious. The waitress was nice and polite and kept up with the drinks which is a plus.

Yelp
I cannot boast enough about this place. I recently held a 75th birthday party for my Aunt. We were very careful about continuing with the celebration since we had buried my uncle (her brother) that same day. I can tell you that the service, the food and the professionalism was top notch. I even saw the owner helping his team serve. The young lady (Sorry forgot her name) that met me as I entered was very welcoming. I make it my business to always go to Cutlass Grille when I am in the area as I live in NYC. I thank the owner and staff for allowing us to enjoy ourselves and to peacefully celebrate my uncle's homegoing service and my aunt's 75th Birthday Day. WELL DONE CUTLASS GRILLE. We will be back soon. OHHHH - and that Band - OMG - FIRE!!!!!

Yelp
Me and my mom came during a week day, wasn't busy at all which was great for us, we were starving lol. The food was excellent 10/10 , the service from Marlena was pleasant and we left satisfied!
google avatar

Cindy S.

Yelp
So there was a 23-30 minute wait time prior to us being able to get a table and not a booth as requested. I can't say we had a very pleasant experience. The food was okay and this was my first time at this new location since they moved from Battlefield Blvd. The food wasn't bad but given the atmosphere it did take a really long time to get our entries and I was ready to just to be honest. It was super loud and noisy and I felt like we were all just too close to one another. Not a lot of space to be honest. I get wanting to be in a central location but the ambiance for me wasn't to my liking.

Malcolm F.

Yelp
Great service and food. The band that played that night was awesome. I would recommend anyone local or visiting the area.

Jane Q.

Yelp
Graciously greeted. You know right then you are I. For a special experience! The warm bright atmosphere filled with folks relaxing and bonding with friends and family is welcoming. Sat in dining room but the bar looked amazing too! Service is very informative and understanding. We started with the familiar coconut shrimp and grouper taco appetizer. Stellar! Then it was time to explore the Jamaican specialties. Lamb chops, jerk wings. Insanely incredible! Sides: Mac and cheese & rice/peas oxtail gravy yep the best ever! We will be dreaming about this meal forever! Ok the drink menu. Caribbean influenced delicious balance. In closing our server spent time preparing us for what to try on our next visit ( rib eye and beef ribs and whole snapper). We left filled feeling like we received a huge dose of kindness and love delivered through a special meal. Yelpers, and my fellow business traveler road warriors: do not miss this one!

Yelp
Cutlassgrille in Chesapeake, VA was vibing Saturday night. Delicious Jamaican dishes and live entertainment from the Ambassadorzz. We had the following: Mini beef patties: These were cooked perfectly. The sauce was good but not really needed because they already had enough flavor. Southern mule: This tasted Great with the Jamaican ginger beer. Jamaican Jack: This was good but could have used some more Jack and less of the sweetness. Oxtails with greens and jerk rice: Very good flavor and texture. I would also try the mac and cheese next time. Rasta pasta: This dish was delicious and the shrimp were huge but it tasted more like seafood linguine and not as much of the extra Jamaican flavors. Rum Runner: I felt like I was on a beach drinking this. I loved all the flavors although it could have been a little stronger.
google avatar

Clyde E.

Yelp
What a great experience! The atmosphere is eye catching and pleasing. Upon entering the smells of the food draws you in. The food is the focal point here for sure. Started with Mini Beef Patties that made you want more of them. They went fast! There were several menu items that had me tugging back in forth trying to decide. However, I already had a dish in mind before we got seated. Jerk Chicken and boy did they deliver the flavor! Sides were collard greens and plantains both were dynamite. I devoured it all. The only thing I really wanted was some kind of sauce made of the jerk spices. Since this was a dry rub no luck. I have had a wet version of jerk elsewhere and it was excellent. However that didn't stop my enjoyment. Service was friendly and attentive. I will be back soon. You should definitely check them out!

Yelp
Review for the new location in Greenbrier behind Target: this location is gorgeous! So bright and vibrant with Jamaican themed decor and subtle touches. This restaurant used to be off of Battlefield blvd near Chesapeake Regional Hospital but they recently upgraded to this bigger space behind Target in greenbrier. They seem to be well staffed, I visited with some friends on a Thursday evening. They have a mixture of booths, regular tables, and a bar area. We were seated in a booth and our drink orders were taken immediately. I ordered the Rum Punch and I thought it was alright, but I should've gone with one for the sangria options because I like sweet drinks. Our server Sariah then took our food orders and efficiently read it back to us to make sure she got it right. I appreciate that. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, it wasn't that busy so that was great. I really enjoyed my Brown Stew Chicken with a side of Mac and cheese and Jamaican rice and peas (beans). When they ask you if you want "gravy" on the rice say yes! Or on the side because it gives a nice flavor to the otherwise slightly dry rice. It's more of a oily sauce than a gravy in my opinion. My friends liked their choices to and we cleaned our plates! Checks came and we noticed a 20% service charge and I clarified with the server that it was the tip. My group was a total of five so I think they include that charge with all orders no matter of party size. Keep an eye out on your receipt for that. Overall, I had a nice evening here with friends in this beautiful new location and service was good. I will be back when I'm craving Jamaican food!

Yelp
The dining had a 30 minute wait so we sat at the bar. We had good service--dinks and food brought out in a timely fashion. My husband was happy to have a local IPA beer on tap. He ordered the oxtails and they were delicious. The gravy was also so flavorful. I had the dark meat chicken with white rice and a side of plantains. Everything was flavorful and hot and tender. Very happy with our meal. We forgot to take pics but we did get one of the banana pudding--which was also perfect. Fresh bananas--not soft-soggy. The Nilla wafers were still crunchy and lots of whipped cream. See the pic. :) There was a steel drummer that started when we were almost done eating, so we did get to enjoy some of Bob Marley music. Music and lighting. Glad we came to check it out.

Yelp
This was our first time visiting Virginia. We wanted to try something different and I was very pleased with the service, the food was excellent. We got to enjoyed live music. The ambience and crew very pleasant.

Yelp
Outstanding describes this restaurant but then again the food was outstanding when they were off the battlefield. The new location is fantastic and way more spacious and airy! Our server Shavile was very accommodating. She helped with our lunch decision which turned out to be simply delicious. If you have not been to the new location or you have not been at all you owe yourself this treat. My only critique is the 18% gratuity is included no matter the size of your party. I upped Shavile to my normal 20% because she was the best!

Yelp
10/2022 First time in this new location, it's been well over 5 years since I was at their older location. I had the goat curry (not spicy) and hubby had the jerk chicken (dark meat). Overall good food. We ordered the wings for appetizer and we never received it, I guess the server forgot it. Hubby was disappointed at the portion size of his Jerk chicken.

Christa C.

Yelp
It had been quite sometime since my last visit to cutlass grille. I ought to be ashamed of myself for that lol Damn I really missed this place. My husband and I decided to celebrate our anniversary by having dinner here and it was EVERYTHING! I ordered the curry chicken with mac and cheese and collard greens. 10/10 best curry chicken I have ever tasted. It was very flavorful and I had none of it left over lol I will definitely be back here again much sooner.

Yelp
I can't say that we had bad service this evening at Cutlass Grill , actually we had no service. We came in , we're seated and then... Nothing. No menu, nothing. After 15 minutes we just left. Amazing.

Yelp
This is my 2nd visit to Cutlass Grill. The very first time was in their old location across from CRMC, probably just after the opened. The meals did not excite me at all. So I just never went back. This visit is at their new location on Eden Way. This location was the old Surf Rider. We were greeted very casually, not really an issue. We were taken quickly to our table behind the bar center of the restaurant. I noticed boothes behind me against the wall. They offer a private dining experience. As I arrived home to eat our takeout, I was more than surprised to find NO RICE AND PEAS with the Oxtails. I overlooked the fact that rice n peas ARE a SIDE! OK, yes, my bad, however, what restaurant... Caribbean restaurant serves rice n' peas as a SIDE DISH! I chose cabbage, without any seasoning as the side. Unfortunately, our waitress didn't even take the time to mention it. As I think about it. Do the owners of Cutlass eat any curry, gravy meal, or any dinner without rice. This is what gravy is for, or some sort of roti. Jamaica was my home shortly after visiting inlaws and deciding to extend our stay to raise my oldest child with family. Our helper and MIL taught me the art of Jamaican cuisine. There was always starch with meals. So with that, I am SHM at Cutlass Grille. Oxtail with just can lima beans, no pimento spice, no habanero pepper, no carrots. Floury bland brown gravy with tough meat. With rice, I'm sure, would have not even made a difference. Hubby's Snapper was cooked and maybe dropped in grease to fry again, so it was really hard. The Escovitch seasoning with just white vinegar. He said the collards were ok. Still no rice. So much for our Sunday dinner. Shame on me for not preparing my own as usual anyway.

Yelp
$135 will get you dinner with the roaches . This was one of MANY we experienced while attempting to eat on the patio. We had only eaten a few bites before we had visitors and the quality of food has significantly declined from past visits. Super disappointing and disgusting. It was a very busy night and close to closing so my husband paid and we left. Will be contacting management in the morning for a refund because this was unacceptable.

Yelp
Chicken was juicy but not a fan of the red stuff. Staff are friendly, I ordered take out, took maybe 10 mins, flavor was good, I'm just not a fan of all the red stuff.

Yelp
I hate to do 3 stars because the food was delicious and plentiful. Also, Da'Lisa's service was great. But I don't like AUTO GRATUITY. There is no reason why a solo diner should be subjected to that and we should be made aware BEFORE dining. This Should be illegal especially when I ended up tipping more because I didn't know tip was already on my bill. Comes off greedy. Loved this place but won't be back due to high pricing and required 18% tip even on solo parties like myself.
