Cuzzy’s Ice Cream Parlor

Cuzzy's new spot on 4th St here in Queen Village will make for a nice treat for the neighbor and those visiting 4th St. Their ice cream is still top notch, creamy and flavorful. I enjoyed a cup pistachio biscotti and I mean 'enjoyed'. There were plenty of flavors that will temp us back. The small seating area is a nice touch compared their old digs on 5th a few years back.

Definitely the best ice cream I've had in Philly! The cinnamon and coconut sundae was so good.

Can I give this place six stars? What about seven? When Cuzzy‘s on 5th st closed I was heartbroken. When it re-emerged I was elated. The new location is wonderful and the ice cream is even better than I remembered. As I write this, I’m eating a banana ice cream with a black sesame cookie and peanut butter and it is legit one of the 2-3 best ice cream creams I’ve ever had in my life. Cuzzy’s is the ice cream shop I’d been hoping for, and I hope it stays here forever.

This was a big hit with my friends!! Great flavor selections and quick service. They also have the advantage of not having many other competitors in the area.

We got two split scoops: Banana/Pistachio and Brown butter/Chocolate cake. My favorites were the Brown butter and Banana. Love that they are open late and have lots of seating!

One of, if not, the best scoop I've ever had. So rich, creamy, and my favorite things all in one with their banana PB oreo flavor.

FOOD One of the best ice cream shops in Philly I've had so far. We had their vanilla and cookies & cream scoops. The vanilla scoop was incredibly rich and creamy, and the flavor from the vanilla bean itself added punches of flavor. The cookies & cream flavor was also very rich and creamy, although I wished there were more cookie pieces within the scoop (the scoop was deceptive ). I'd definitely get their vanilla scoop when returning. The best flavor by far! SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly. AMBIANCE There is a table and bench located inside the store, but when the weather is nice, people usually stand outside the shop to eat. PARKING Paid street parking is available at a limited capacity.

Banana with Black Sesame Oreo Swirl & PB Shards, Brown Butter Sugar + Pecans, Garden Mint, Coconut Sorbet Holy crap ice cream cannot taste this good!! The flavors here are so unique and so so good. I don't even like bananas and I just had to get the banana black sesame one after getting a little sample of it!! Everything was so so tasty. Cute little interior, a few seats inside available

One of the best ice cream I had in a while. This place is so cute! It's small but had multiple areas for seating. Their ice cream was so yummy and the cones are freshly made. The workers there were very friendly and was ready to answer any question you had on the ice cream. I haven't finished a ice cream in a really long time but I finished Cuzzys!

Cuzzy's seems to be the talk of the second half of 2023. The shop itself is clean and has character. The prices are reasonable compared to some of the other ice cream shops in Philly. Sour Cream Blueberry Crumble - smooth, creamy and decadent. Huge fan! The flavors were well thought out and well executed.

Been hearing delicious things about this place! And just so happened it was down the block from where I had dinner so you already know I had to stop by! It was pouring rain and this was worth the treat. I had maple pecan pie, veryyyy goood! I asked for a sample of creme brûlée and it was good but it just tasted like vanilla ice cream that I could get anywhere.

Ice cream is so rich and creamy! Came for affogato on Ice Cream for Breakfast Day. I'm so glad I did, because now I will make an effort to come back for ice cream when it is not freezing outside. Haven't had anything but vanilla yet, but that vanilla was out of sight! The other flavors sound great. I love that they have banana, one of my favorite ice cream flavors.

Thanks to Thank You Thank You Coffee, Cuzzy's is now on my radar. Recently Cuzzy's had a collaboration with Thank You Thank You and that alone made me wake up early, trek to Cuzzy's, and indulge in an affogato for breakfast. Yes, breakfast. That said, head SOUTH (they're near South Street) and TAKE a pint to savor later. Their vanilla is delicious, and specialty flavors are worth a LOOK. So, why am I writing my review as if I were in a text-based adventure game? Because my phone keeps wanting to autocorrect "Cuzzy's" as XYZZY...

I had the first milkshake from Cuzzy's ever and I could choose up to two flavors. Straight up quality ice cream and great hours. Open till 10 pm on Sunday. Wow! I tried to get an Affogato not realizing that was a Feb 4 ice cream signature item. They should offer that as a daily item in my opinion lol. The person staffing the place was super friendly. There was no mascot available- probably because it was not ice cream day. "Chef Boyardee's" review is pictured with the mascot though! Maybe next year for me!

This place happened to be a few doors down from the restaurant where we had dinner. We decided to give it a try. We walked inside and it was pretty crowded. We had to wait while. I thought it was incredibly strange that there are 2 guys working behind the counter, yet one takes the orders and then just stands there and watches the other guy scoop. This really rubbed us the wrong way. The other guy was working so hard. As far as ice cream goes, they only had a few flavors to choose from. I opted for the mint chocolate chip flavor and honestly it wasn't very good. Way too minty, gave me a toothpaste vibe. Definitely one of the least favorite mint ice creams I've ever had. My friend got the strawberry blondie. This had blondie chunks inside. Again just okay. Overall, not the best ice cream around and I wouldn't go out of my way to go here again.

FINALLY made it to Cuzzy's and was not disappointed. Love when places do "different" ice cream flavors. I was gonna get the coffee but when I saw sour cream I had to try it. Super subtle and the blueberry and streusel swirled in were a nice touch. Staff was friendly and attentive and they do samples!

This spot was recommended to us by a local and it did not disappoint! They have some pretty unique flavors you wouldn't find in your average ice cream place that makes this spot worth the visit! I got the Malt Ice Cream with brownies and dulce de leche and it was amazing! The spot has a pretty chill vibe to it with their small gift shop and decorations. Workers were so helpful as well, letting us try flavors before ordering!

Food: Probably one of the best Ice creams I've had in Philly. The texture was nice and stretchy. We tried 3 flavors and they were all a home run. I would definitely come back to try all the other flavors. Service: The service was quick and he let us try samples Ambience: The interior was really cute and the seating by the window was perfect.

I am pretty convinced my life has been under some kind of magical spell as of late...what are the odds, during my recent Queen Village adventure/shopping trip, that I HAPPEN to park on 5th and then HAPPEN to be in the mood for ice cream and then HAPPEN to look up and see Cuzzy's? And then what are the odds that said ice cream is the literal best ice cream I've ever had in my life? I am not a betting gal and don't know the odds of any of this, but this is exactly what transpired and to say I am grateful is an understatement. Located between South and Bainbridge by Emmy and Loomen Lab, Cuzzy's has been in this QV location for only three months but already has the feel and welcoming ambiance of a neighborhood staple. I sampled three flavors while deciding on my pint and was totally blown away. To me, ice cream is one of the most special foods we as humans get to enjoy - it can conjure up memories, has a base that can really adapt to any kind of flavor profile, and is a dessert that has (sort of) changed a lot over time...while also staying exactly the same. I love following along on the embrace vs. reject modernity juxtaposition that sometimes plays out in the ice cream world. Watching a Salt & Straw or Jeni's come out with flavors like "dingleberry chicken soup" or "fuck it up fig" is fun and innovative, but a small shop that can delight and surprise with classic flavors is going to win for me every time, and that's Cuzzy's to a T. Best ice cream I've ever had is not dramatics in this case. Every piece of opposition that you look for in the perfect bite of ice cream is met with abundance: both light AND rich, punch AND subtlety, soft AND sturdy, all with a luscious mouthfeel that hits the palate perfectly. Run don't walk if you have yet to try Cuzzy's. This is all on top of the fact that the store itself is welcoming, the branding is beautiful, and the passion for the process totally shined through in the maybe 7 minutes I was in the storefront itself. Thank me later, friends!

I'm so glad Cuzzy's opened up in QV! This may be my new favorite ice cream shop in the city. The flavors are amazing and I love that they all include toppings mixed in the ice cream already. The staff is very friendly and 4.50 for a single (big) scoop is a reasonable price. Highly recommend the Banana and Brown Butter flavors!

What a great addition to the Philly ice cream scene! I mistakenly thought this city was an ice cream desert when I moved here ... but I am so glad to have been proven wrong! Cuzzy's came on our radar shortly after they opened, but it took us a few months to finally get there. It's in a cute location right in Queen Village and super accessible. I LOVE the minimal signage with their adorable mascot outside the building - a nice touch. The interior is a mix of modern and old school ice cream parlor - love the exposed brick and classic decor with a large ice cream cone "statue" and various Philadelphia posters. And of course, they feature plenty of decor with their mascot, which I absolutely adore - I love the branding so much that I had to buy a hat to support and sport the business! The employees were incredibly kind - the owner himself actually served us and was INCREDIBLY patient when I tried to use a coupon (not his fault, but appreciated the discussion and flexibility). In terms of actual ice cream, Cuzzy's is definitely at the top of my Philly ice cream list. Their menu is small, but the offerings they have are done extremely well. I opted for the sour cream with blueberry compote and the brown butter. The sour cream was so delectable and creamy - I never gave much thought to this as ingredient in ice cream, but man, did it work well. The sweet blueberries and the bits of crumble were excellent accompaniments. The brown butter was certainly sweeter as baseline, but the flavors were so rich and nicely paired with the crunch of the pecans. I was thinking about those scoops for a while afterwards .... so, so good. My dining partners enjoyed their scoops to the same extent as I; we all agree this is one of the finest, most authentic ice cream spots in the city. I can't wait to make it back to Cuzzy's in the near future - this spot is going to be a staple stop for our out-of-town visitors and for us on days when we need a little sweetness. Stumbled upon this cute little ice cream shop after dinner and had to stop in to try. The guy at the counter was super nice and let us sample the ice cream. The flavors are pretty unique but they did have a few classic flavors as well. I ended up getting the coffee with fudge ripple which was delicious!

Absolutely delicious. We've been there a few times now interesting flavors and all great. Everything is so fresh, made in house. The owner is super nice as well. Great addition to the neighborhood!

Lives up the hype! The sour cream with blueberry and crumble is insane. The coffee is excellent too. Nice guy gave me a split cup, plenty, for $6. Feels very happy!

The best!! The coffee flavor is absolutely amazing and I'm already feeling sad for when it one day leaves the rotation. My favorite ice cream in Philly for sure. Great vibe, awesome staff and they have a kids ice cream book that my 5 year old is obsessed with. It is a delightful experience every time.

Cuzzy's is absolute fire flames. I've been a fan of Cuzzy for years and so happy to see him with his own scoop shop. The flavors are the real deal, all Italian/South Philly-inspired with high quality ingredients and a ton of love so obviously poured in. Their branding is on point, staff is always so kind and friendly, and the ice cream is some of the best I've ever had. Definitely a new favorite and a place we will come back to time and time again!

Really good ice cream option in the Society Hill neighborhood. Love the vibes inside and the menu display. Lots of unique options - I ended up getting pistachio but sampled 3 other flavors (all great!). Will be going back.

One of the best in Philly! I love going to Cuzzy's, the ice cream is amazing super fresh super creamy! When you are at Cuzzy's life just feels right. The guys are amazing, they have some of the best hospitality I have gotten at a restaurant. The best way to put it is like it's a corner store you been going to as a kid. I love the logo and the ambiance. Some day I will steal the rug they have hanging up because it's not for sale.

Such a cute little ice cream shop! Although they have a few flavors, they're very interesting and homemade. Great little way to end off your after a date night dinner or candle making class next door. The staff was so friendly. Can't wait for the summer.

This place is great!! Cuzzy is super friendly and welcoming every time we come in. The ice cream flavors do change every now and then and so far we've nearly tried them all! My favorite has been the Apple with cinnamon and the banana flavors! The little biscuit crisp that comes with it is also amazing!! Definitely one of the best ice cream shops in Philly

Divine. Not the usual flavors but interesting and delightful mixes. Make it themselves on site. Drinks they sell are in glass bottles...tells you something. Divine.

I don't ever write reviews. I'll start there.. this is the BEST ice cream I've ever had in my life. No exaggeration.. I'm not from Philly and EVERY TIME I visit, I stop in and grab my fave! "Brown Butter" is my go-to! When I tell y'all *chefs kiss* I could cry.. and just recently tried the Banana flavor.... BOYYYYY you have a customer out of meee forever! The store is set up perfectly! Not too much going on, BUT just enough - and I love that! Last but not least, the customer service, 10/10. Cuzzy is so sweet and makes the experience that much better! Thank you Cuzzy! I plan my trips just to come here and then to see my friends !

I am a fan of Franklin Fountain, John's, and Milk Jawn's, but Cuzzy's is my new favorite. They don't have the biggest number of flavors, but the flavors they have are an amazing mix of classics (vanilla bean, coffee, chocolate) and some wonderful hard to find flavors (brown butter and another one with apples and cinnamon). The brown butter has a deep rich flavor, is super creamy and also has crunchy candied pecans in it. I have never seen this flavor anywhere else, and it is hard to put into words how great it is. My son had the cinnamon. He called it 10 out of 10 and loved that the cinnamon ice cream was really creamy but also had the apples which were a great texture combination. The two guys working there were really friendly and helpful, and the place has a really nice atmosphere.

I'm from Central PA so I'm a real certified dairy snob. I can confirm that this ice cream brings the true rich and creaminess of a custard, in a hand scoop. The pistachio flavor is the real deal (similar to Van Leewans pistachio for all of you ice cream nuts). Can't wait to see what other seasonal flavors they put out- all have been very good so far. Stopped in last night with my younger sister who was visiting from Louisiana. We really enjoyed everything about this spot. The pistachio ice cream was YUMMY!!! Great customer service, atmosphere and prices. They even have a selection of soft drinks and candy! Will be back again for sure!

We decided to get some ice cream here after having dinner at Emmy Squared pizza next door. Store front was what drew me in initially. I liked the bright, airy space and the sign design. The 2 employees were super nice and struck up a nice conversation. The ice cream was excellent and was given a generous scoop. Highly recommend this ice cream shop!

Cuzzy's serves fresh home made ice cream. They offer a few simple flavors with unique toppings to customize. The coffee flavor made with Philly's local moonraker coffee was our fav! The vanilla was the best we'd ever had.

This is some seriously good ice cream. We stopped in for the first time and got two Sid the best scoops of ice cream that we have ever had. The owner is super nice and makes most if not all the ice cream and toppings. Please go try this place. It is delicious.
