This is really about a 3.5 if I'm honest with the potential for a 4. Parking is limited, and it's a gravel lot. Going on a Saturday around 4, meant that finding a parking spot wasn't easy. I can't imagine being here around prime dinner time. The building itself looks new, and is spacious enough inside. Additionally, there's ample outdoor seating.
Now for the food. We came for the barbecue as I'm currently on Keto, and I loved Pappa Charlie's when they were downtown, although I couldn't have my beloved boudin this time (cause Keto like I mentioned previously). I did get my bbq place usual 2 meat plate with brisket and sausage, green beans and coleslaw as sides. My husband ordered the same with brisket, boudin (the betrayal of the ones you love), mashed potatoes (more betrayal), and coleslaw.
I should have asked for all moist brisket, but I didn't think of it when ordering. We both had about half lean, half moist, and considering it was delicious along with everything else. I know many folks love lean brisket, but I do not. In the future I'll definitely ask for all moist. In short, if you're looking for some good que, give them a try, but don't go at peak times or you'll have trouble finding a place to park.
