When It Comes to Cheese, This New Burger Is Thinking Outside the Bun | Eater

"Operating away from the city with a largely military-base clientele, the kitchen leans into over-the-top presentations: a cheeseburger with peppers and onions is served in pepper jack cheese sauce and piled with onion rings and pico de gallo, and the chef-owner has also offered a mac-and-cheese burger with cheese sauce poured over the top as well as sizzling platters that have been set on fire. Chef and owner Arjay Mijares says the aim is to offer burgers that "no one has had before — the bigger, the better," using theatrics to keep diners excited about the next special." - Bettina Makalintal

So we came for the sizzling burger. Though it looked really cool, it didn't taste all that great. It tasted like a plain burger with cheese and such, so it made sense that the sliders were also really plain tasting. The wings weren't too bad, but that I REALLY liked was the fries sadly. The service and atmosphere was cozy and friendly thankfully, but I won't drive all the way to Wahiawa for it again.

Found this spot from a local blogger’s page, so happy we did! Parking is a little dicey near the restaurant though, fair amount of street parking around the corner too. Plenty of seating inside, we were quickly given a table, with friendly and prompt service. We got the August special which included a burger and ramen. The ramen was tasty, a little spicy (which we loved). If you can’t handle spice, get something else because they can’t modify spice level. We also got the bone in short rib with spaghetti. The meat was delicious, flavor of the noodles wasn’t as pronounced, but there’s plenty of meat and it pairs really well with the ramen. Those two meals could easily feed 3 people.

BEST DINING EXPERIENCE my wife and I have had on Oahu or even in Hawaii to date. You aren't ready for how good this food is. The portions are big too. The atmosphere in the lobby was an excellent setting, even with construction going on. The service was fast and friendly. The prices are outstanding as well. We absolutely cannot wait to go back. Five stars all around. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Aloha! I finally got a chance to try a burger at Da Burger Wing Hub here in Wahiawa. I must admit that I judged the food here with a much higher than usual critical taste buds because the past few months of getting take out from our other usual spots left me feeling disappointed. Because of the rising costs, a lot of places are cutting corners and getting super skimpy. We weren’t getting what I felt was something worth paying for anymore. However, the reviews here were mostly really good, so I decided to at least give this new spot a chance. I’m super glad I did. It’s been a long time since I had a really Great Burger. I ordered the Barbecue Burger and it was delicious! It is described as:”A 8oz. Wagyu patty with BBQ pork, peppered bacon, cheddar cheese, fried onions, BBQ sauce and pepper Jack cheese” Very very tasty! Juicy! It was so filling I could only eat half. I ordered extra waffle fries on top of the ones that came with them, but I couldn’t even touch it. I’m saving it tomorrow with the other half of my burger. The fries were good BTW. I also ordered a churro cheesecake which I recommend. Yummy! I love cheesecake and had a lot of different ones in my time, but never a churro one! The side cups of churro frosting, & whipped cream were a perfect compliment to the tart sliced strawberries that sat on the cheesecake. 😋 Your next Burger cravings, come check this place out and support local!! Mahalo for reading!

Wow!! This place did not disappoint! Everything was fresh, the wings and burger were outstanding! It’s not often that we go to a restaurant and like everything we ordered. Plus the customer service was great. The only thing that was weird for me was having to ask for a key to use the restroom. For the price I feel like I should be able to use it whenever I want without having to ask for a key.

I’ve been wanting to check out this spot for a while now after seeing them on instagram. I finally was up that way and had the opportunity to go! We got there around 10:40 (right before the lunch rush thankfully) and got seated immediately! The staff were very nice and attentive. I got the strawberry matcha - really nice. The poutine fries were good and the jumbo wings with the bourbon hot honey were best wings I’ve had on island! I can’t wait to come try more flavors and already advised my friends to check them out! Food took about 10-15 mins but atmosphere inside is good so it wasn’t long at all for us. Parking is kind of tight and limited so best the lunch rush if you can.

Wow! Great burgers & wings! Love the fries to. The juicy Lucy is definitely messy - need lots of napkins. Really enjoyed the meal! Staff is really nice & attentive. Definitely will return for more!

Yelp
One of the best, genius and well crafted burgers! Staff will ask and you're welcome to select how you want your burger cooked. Blacken Blue Burger elevated to a whole new level with their 8oz Wagyu juicy patty. Cheese not necessary. Few long, crispy peppercorn bacon delicious on its own and inside the burger. Peppercorn sauce tasted light. A few blue cheese crumbles were light tasting. Thin, green lettuce added great texture and crunch. Thinly sliced red onions are pungent. Sweet, crinkled pickles are yummy! Fresh buns. Well balanced burger in terms of tasting each distinctive ingredient and integrated perfectly together. Country music filled the ambiance of this restaurant which was amazing! Had me happily and internally singing country music Summertime Blues. I felt like I was transported to the South. Waffle fries are perfectly crisp. Delicious crunchiness. Condiments not necessary. Server asked if I wanted my dessert the same time as my meal or a bit later. I chose later. Churro Cheesecake: Generous portion of cheesecake with a thin layer of churro taste, topped with sliced strawberries and whipped cream helped to neutralize and calm my palate. Cheesecake tasted dense which filled my tummy and taste buds quickly. Superb customer service from the two Servers. Felt welcome and didn't feel rushed. Best to arrive during non-peak hours for free parking. Outside appeared small; however, inside has ample seats. I'm not a huge fan of burgers and sandwiches. After this mouthwatering experience, I'm open to try other burgers and sandwiches! Various ingredients on the menu make me yearn for more.

Yelp
The burgers looked amazing, unfortunately the patty fell flat. I don't think they seasoned the patty. I think just some basic burger seasoning would have made the biggest difference. I also ordered a Cobb salad that didn't come out until 5 minutes after my husband was done eating his burger. We ended up just getting it to go. It was sad that it happened. Because the salad actually was really good! The blue cheese dressing was on point. The server felt so bad that it took over 35minutes for me to get the salad she did comp it. The server was see sweet and the salad was good and that is way I will give them 3 . But other than that I was disappointed

Yelp
I finally stopped by! It was pretty busy today but we got seated right away. The server and hostess were very kind too. We were asked what we wanted to drink almost immediately and were told it would be 10% off because it was their 1 year anniversary. That was a pleasant surprise! I wanted to order something unique off of their August Specials menu, since it's a limited time offering so I ordered the Dominican Fried Plantain Burger. Side note: all burgers are pretty large and all seem to come with lots of ingredients. Our food came out quickly and it was good! I enjoyed it. The plantains intrigued me the most as well as the bacon jam. I think the onion ring was delish but not for this burger. A lot seemed to come with an onion ring lol. The waffle fries were a nice surprise too! I knew fries were coming with but not waffle fries, which hello, elite fry. I would go here again to try some more menu items but the burgers are a bit pricey and are so loaded it's more of a special treat kinda spot. My friend ordered the reuben and omg, THAT was incredible. Whew. That was so so good. Meat was juicy and flavorful. I'm way more curious to try sandwiches! There is also free parking available and interesting choice of music, Frank Sinatra and burgers. A vibe?

Yelp
A newer ish spot with a fun menu. I'm a sucker for trying things that other places haven't offered yet, and this place offers a fun, different menu with enough options for everyone. You can choose a burger for their menu, make your own with their list of additions or try their special for the month. Tucked away in an ally type situation, It's a small place with not a lot of tables, so if you're going during peak hours, expect a wait. The staff is kind and helpful, but when it's busy you can get forgotten. I got their burger that was covered in nacho Cheese, and while it was good...it was of course soggy. The wings with peanut sauce were absolutely delicious! Everyone else at the table loved what they got. But the real show stopper was dessert. Part croissant part waffle, topped with a generous amount of toppings, I think I would come back just to eat another one!

Yelp
This was my 1st time trying this place and based on the food I would not return. They are located in Wahiawa right next to Little Ceasars. They share a parking lot with about 6-7 other businesses including Shige's so parking can be tough. We ordered take-out and the girl that took our order was sweet and knowledgeable. I heard good things so I was excited to try but ended up being very disappointed. Based on the name you would expect the burgers and wings to be the standout items but imo they were not. My favorite items were the French dip sandwich and poutine fries (even though they were mildly warm and the cheese did not even melt) the flavors were good. The French dip had well seasoned roast beef that made the sandwich my favorite item. The aujus was lacking in flavor. The poutine fries had a mushroom gravy that made the item very tasty but the steak cut fries were unevenly cooked, some were under done and still a little hard. The fries and gravy were lukewarm which made them not as good. The burgers all lacked flavor. It was like the burger meat was not seasoned at all. They were all cooked to order properly. The container that I'm assuming held my chimichurri sauce had melted and I'm guessing is what made the bottom bun oil soaked. Super disappointed because this was a special they had and I don't believe I was able to eat it as it was intended to be enjoyed. The chicken parm sandwich was okay, I've had better. The wings were good. They had a nice smoked flavor and were cooked well. My only criticism is that there was no lemon pepper flavor at all and not enough BBQ sauce.

Yelp
Avoid this place if you're not really hungry! The burgers are huge and incredibly delicious. We visited on a Monday evening, and it wasn't too crowded. Just a heads-up: it can be a bit challenging to locate if you're not familiar with Wahiawa.

Yelp
This was highly recommended by a friend and when we saw all the mouth-watering photos of foods and the great experience they shared, I just couldn't wait to give this place a try. Finally, we were able to visit this place on a Saturday with a group of 9 and all of us had an absolutely satisfying experience. Foods - I was able to try the following: Appetizers: - Chicken wings with house ranch. This was my favorite! Loved how it was seasoned and I truly enjoyed the house ranch. It was mild with a tiny hint of spice. - Pork Belly sisig - loved this one a lot too. Authentic sisig taste served in a classic way and on a sizzling plate with calamansi and sunny side up egg, with bits of jalapeno. Sooo ono! - Poutine Fries - again, it's the sauce for me that made their fries delicious. - June special burger - Da Baby Back Rib Bbq special, medium rare burger, right amount of heat. Meat falls of the bone easily, seasoned well, cooked to perfection and ono! Waffle fries on the side. - Juicy Lucy - medium rare burger, cooked to perfection, loved the sauce, it was a little bit spicy but it has the right amount of heat - Churro Cheesecake - I had a few bites of this from hubby's plate. Just delicious! Service - Anica our server was excellent. Got all our orders right, kept checking in on us, warm and friendly. Orders came out fast too. They also have a live band. It can be a bit loud but we would definitely be back to this place again with our families and friends. It's worth checking out and I highly recommend it.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Da Burger Wing Hub and their super loaded burgers! I called in my order on a Thursday for takeout around 4:30PM. I was surprised that even at this odd time, there was no parking in the lot. I had to circle around once. The worker said that if you're having trouble finding parking, just give them a call, and they can bring your food out to you. We got da hangover burger and chicken wings (garlic Parmesan and hot honey). Da hangover burger was awesome! The burger was juicy and had a super flavorful sauce on it. I also loved the waffle fries. The wings were way bigger than I expected. The seasoning wasn't super strong and the chicken was juicy. We also ordered the kids burger, and that was dry and didn't have any toppings. I would definitely come back here to dine in, so I can have my burger super fresh! Service was great and food was even better.

Yelp
Wow! That sums it up. I'm not a burger guy but my friend has been here and they do it different so he brought me here today! It's a creative pub to me. We went with a party of 9, 10 if you include the dog with us which the kitchen gave water to. A live musician was playing and he was really good just volume could be a bit lower since the restaurant is small and we wanted to talk to each other without yelling or waiting for breaks in music. This doesnt drop the stars though as it's the food and service that does the talking here. We ordered appetizers of poutine fries and sisig. Our burgers were the baby back bbq special for the month, and the juicy lucy both medium rare cooked. Also had the churro cheesecake for dessert. Matcha latte and spanish latte was ordered for drink. They serve alcohol here. If you are a fan of spicy, I'd say most of the food had a spicy element to it. Burgers all came with a brioche bun though I think they can switch it up and use potato buns for some of the burgers. Burgers came with a side of waffle fries and pickles on the side as well. Drinks were good and just the right sweet to give it flavor. Waters were refilled frequently and staff cleared empty plates quickly as well. The sisig hit right. It was the perfect classic sisig, on a sizzling platter, with calamansi, and a fried egg on top. Best sisig on island! It also had mild spice. Sorry Waipahu, they got you beat! Poutine fries were great. Gravy was just enough that it wasn't swimming and was just a great appetizer altogether. Burgers were seriously stacked and not what you think a burger can do and cooked to medium rare perfection. Baby back ribs could be deboned as I decided to cut a piece on the side before I took a bite of burger. This rib pulls off the bone just right. Bbq sauce had a mild heat and was sweet and tangy. The juicy lucy was a messy burger. Here it's ok to eat your burger with a fork and knife. They get messy. The churro cheesecake was just a great finisher. I loved every bite and was sad it ended. No doubt we'll be back here. Tell all your friends and family to come out. Worth the meal!

Yelp
A nice restaurant nestled in a hidden area in Wahiawa. Good food, nice workers, great atmosphere. The food: BURGER WING HUB...what do you think they serve here? lol. They also have poutine. They have a desert called a "croffle". Both are really good! The burgers are fantastic! I was not able to try the wings but I will be back for those! Seems like an easy place to either eat in or take out. They accommodate both. Super nice about it. We went on a Sunday and were able to get seated pretty quickly. A great date place for something chill and easy. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
This place is so cute and has both a great menu and a full bar! The food was fresh and delicious. The wings were big and juicy and the portobello burger amazing delicious! We will definitely come back to explore more deliciousness.
google avatar

Kevin J.

Yelp
Had an amazing lunch here! Because of the name i figure I had to try at least the burger or the wings. I would have got both but the croffle desserts looked too good to pass on. Although the price is high, the burger was over $20. It was well worth it. Its premium and fills you up. Whatever the sauce is that they use its also really good. The presentation of it oozing out of the burger is eye catching but the taste of it will have u scraping it off your plate! Also tried the biscoff croffle and for sure that was a good choice. Love the flavor, it is a bit heavy so just be ready for that in case ur already full from everything before that

Yelp
Parking is really tight. So if you're dining with a few folks, it's best to carpool. When we went, it was lunchtime, and the place was packed. They do allow you to call ahead and make reservations so I strongly recommend that. However, we didn't have to wait too long. We were in seated within 20 minutes of checking in. The portions are huge. I ordered the jawbreaker and I only ate a quarter of it. I strongly recommend sharing coming in on an empty stomach. It was cooked perfectly medium rare. Everything from the bun to the burger was amazing. The cheese pull! I don't normally like pickles, but the pickles were sweet and they were delicious with my burger. I had to take them to go. Service was great but it was so busy that they couldn't fill our water. I'm super excited to come back soon and try out more of their menu.

Yelp
What a great find. After we parked which can be busy we entered burger world. The menu is burgers lots of different ways. We also ordered French onion soup. Very good! Service with a smile. The ambience is clean and basic. Looking forward to returning.

Yelp
This place is amazing. From the staff, food and atmosphere. Everything was an awesome experience. The parking here is bit tough. Bcuz the parking in front was completely full. We ended up parking on the corner of kilani ave and kukui st. Just a 2 min walk...not to bad. Wait was about 10mins maybe less to get a seated. The food came out pretty quick from the time we ordered and everything we ordered was amazing. We'll definitely be back
google avatar

Tina J.

Yelp
Food was good, waitress was kind and they helped eachother out once a large party came in. Had the short rib burger for 28$ and black and bleu burger 19$. We always support local and this seems to be a local owner. Small place, but cute, think they are expanding to next door. We could smell a cigar from construction next door, but the smell would come and go and not very strong, so we didn't alert them. We would go again!
google avatar

Evana L.

Yelp
Da Flaming Roast Beef is fiiire. We were excited to try their on fire burger and it did not disappoint. The fire presentation was really cool and was really only for presentation purposes. The burger had a lot more flavor to it because it was drenched in sauce. This is a smart concept and it worked really well. The burger was big so make sure to come hungry. We also tried their biscoff croffle which was SO good. I love biscoff cookies and am so glad others feel the same and there are now biscoff desserts all over. The biscoff croffle is a must try if you love biscoff too.
google avatar

Moana A.

Yelp
Called to place a pick up order and it was ready in 20 minutes. The Juicy Lucy burger was perfectly cooked medium. The bun was fresh and soft. Sauce had a nice heat to it. Very tasty and enjoyed it a lot! Had to try the French onion soup and the flavor was so good! Parking was no problem at 1:30pm in the afternoon. Pleasant staff! Next time will eat in their cute restaurant so my food can be enjoyed hot. Looks nice and cozy.

Yelp
Friends told us about the new burger place in Wahiawa next to Shige's Saimin. Said it's the best place to eat burgers in Wahiawa. The burgers are all $18 but made with wagyu beef and comes with fries. So my hubby and I ordered takeout. I ordered the black and blue burger and hubby ordered the Reuben sandwich. Took about 20 minutes, but they were really good. I wished the waffle fries were crispier but they still tasted yummy. Next time I will order the Cuban since that is my favorite sandwich. Will come again. They also have specials! There were a lot of tourists there. I think they stopped by Shiges Saimin, which closed on Sunday, so they went to the burger joint next door.

Yelp
Another 10/10 visit. Called to put in a reservation since it was a holiday and we had a party of 11. They were able to accommodate us easily and the food and service was quick. Tried the "comer" smash burger this time and it was goooood! Definitely my staple. We also tried a bunch of their desserts like the cookie skillet, crème brûlée, churro cheesecake, and both the strawberry Nutella & Oreo croffle. My coworkers loved the fajita burger and their bbq burger. And now they serve alcohol
google avatar

Reef A.

Yelp
Another gem in Wahiawa. We got the Juicy Lucy and the Hangover Burgers which are some of the more popular burgers. Both were upgraded with Poutine fries. Both cooked medium perfectly. The Wagyu burgers didn't disappoint. Tasted pretty darn good. Nothing to complain about except they were pretty messy to eat with all the sauces oozing out. Poutine Fries were thick and tasty with all the gravy on them. We were too full for dessert but the dessert menu looked exceptionally good. Service was great. Greeted on entry and Thank you on exit. Casual atmosphere and very clean. Food came out quickly and cooked perfectly. Server checked on us and refilled water. At the end of our meal, someone who appeared to be the manager or owner asked us how our food was and shook our hands. Parking was a bit tight around lunchtime on a weekday. Their website takes online reservations and they also do catering. Will definitely be back. On a previous visit, my brother saw news media and social media influencers dining there. That must be an indication that this place is gaining popularity. PRO TIP: Go there on off peak hours to avoid crowds and lack of parking.

Yelp
My home town Wahiawa Drove from kapolei to Wahiawa to see some family friends n got hungry after we left. Hesitation sat in as we decide to eat n what to eat. We yelp the town to find a place. We came across this place n my wife said her gang from scholfield barracks always come here to eat or take out. I said ok ... let's try it n something different. The decision n choice was the right spot. The girl greeted with great smile n sat us down. As I walked in, this place is clean roomy n nice as I looked around. The bar is nice. On the left side there's plenty of room n big screen TV to watch. Ready to order now. I had the Comer Smash Burger, gotta say it was very good. Tasty n juicy. The sauce is unreal flavor & the wife had the Black & Blue Burger. I smaple a big bite n loved it. All the flavore blended well n flavorful. A side order of 8 piece chicken wings, 4 garlic parmeson & 4 honey mustard. It's the full wing style. They each had great taste n flavors were awesome. I had a Dr.Pepper with it. Love their glass mug they have. Best it's refillable free. They gave us great customer service n very polite and friendly staff. Awesome place to come grab a bit n watch sports on TV. Happy hour is 1pm till 4pm. I will come again n again

Yelp
Great food stopped for burgers but seen this pass my eyes and could not resist... this short rib and pasta totally took me to another place topped off with a beer I couldn't be in a better place...
google avatar

Rebecca C.

Yelp
This burger spot really hyped up their burgers, but surprisingly, the burger itself didn't hit the mark. The 8 ounce patty was of course thick and generous, but it didn't hold up well. Despite the patty being juicy, it immediately started to crumble with the bread and whatever toppings your burger had. There was a warning on the juicy Lucy that the burger was messy, but didn't expect the patty to also fall apart at a medium rare. Maybe the buns need to be better toasted to hold it together! The smash burger and the hang over burger were also just good. Honestly the hang over burger was a bit dry and lacking in sauce. We also tried all 3 desserts, the crème brûlée was decent as was the cheesecake. The cookie pie tasted not homemade. The special of the month, the pasta in the cheese wheel was definitely most interesting and tasty, most social media/gram worthy. Free parking out front. No restrooms. Not a lot of seating but they move quickly.

Yelp
The bar is now open! After months of patience they got it rolling. Looks very clean with a very friendly bartender. RJ recommended the chimichanga which was MEAN! The churro cheesecake was the ultimate finisher. Slept like a baby after

Yelp
We got here a little bit before the lunch crowd and snagged parking, which can get full. The restaurant is in the same shopping center as Little Caesars and a small unassuming spot. It's really nice, spacious, and clean inside. They have live music in Saturday's too according to the board outside the door. My husband got the special short rib burger and waffle fries for $28. It was a lot of burger! The short rib itself tasted really good and was super tender. The 8 oz Wagyu burger was cooked to a perfect medium. He was only able to finish half of it cause it was so much burger, but would we order it again for $28 probably not. I got the Juicy Lucy burger with waffle fries for $18 but I asked to get the chili aioli on the side so it wouldn't be as messy to eat. It was a good burger, but not great for being Wagyu beef patty. Avocados were sliding out from each bite, so I'm glad I got the sauce on the side and had knife and fork lol. I finished half of it and we all took our leftovers home. The bill came out to $47.12 WITH the military discount for two burgers and a 16 oz soda with free refills.

Yelp
Checked out Da Burger Wings and Hub in Wahiawa, and it's definitely a spot worth trying if you're a burger or wing lover! We started with their Black and Blue Burger--an 8oz wagyu patty topped with blue cheese, black peppercorn sauce, crispy pepper bacon, and the usual lettuce, tomato, and onion. Every bite was rich, flavorful, and packed with bold, savory notes. A solid option for any burger enthusiast! Next, we went for their weekly special, the Fiery Volcanic Burger. This one comes with a jalapeño on top and gets literally lit on fire table-side. While the presentation was fun and dramatic, the alcohol for the flame didn't burn off completely, which slightly affected the flavor. A cool idea, but they could refine the process a bit! We also sampled their wings and fried pork belly. The Honey Mustard Wings and Thai Chili Wings were massive and cooked perfectly. While the Thai chili sauce was tasty, it leaned sweet--don't expect much heat from this one. It tastes reminiscent of sweet thai chili sauce. The fried pork belly was crispy, indulgent, and a must-try for pork lovers. Overall, Da Burger Wings and Hub serves up good food with lots of creativity, but there's room for minor improvements. We'll definitely be back to see how they grow--especially for that Black and Blue Burger!

Yelp
Amazing amazing amazing you gotta check this out the burgers are insane delicious decent prices clean and super friendly right next to Cesar's pizza

Yelp
Food was AMAZING the burgers, the wings, the fries, the desserts. The meat fell off the bone of the short rib burger and the cocktails were strong and spectacular. Service was quick and kind, I will absolutely be back again

Yelp
We tried out Da Burger Wing Hub when we were doing errands in the Wahiawa area. They were open at 10 am on a Sunday, which was great for us--the parking lot was empty and the place was nice and quiet. Also, the football games were on their TVs. Score all around! There were so many things that looked great to try, so we decided to share a Juicy Lucy burger, smoked wings (with garlic Parmesan and bourbon sauces) and the poutine. Everything was so hot and fresh and really tasty. We got a chance to talk to the owner (sorry, I didn't get your name), and he told us that he strives to keep the menu items fresh, made from scratch and using quality ingredients. We could tell, and really appreciated it. We'll be back!

Yelp
I had seen posts and vids about this new place that opened. I couldn't wait to give them a try. My friend Janey was excited as well since she had not heard of them. Of course, every tourist and their mother was lining up for Shige's, which I also love, but Da Hub is delicious!!! Friendly greeting when we walked in. They don't have a liquor license yet, but soft drinks were fine. They had a special Mac n Cheese burger...I just had to have it!!! Came out sizzling and the girl poured more cheese on top! Ohhhhhh soooooooo ONOOOOOO! I also ordered the poutine fries, and the gravy was really good, but I'm just used to the original way with the curds of cheese melted over the hot fries and smothered in gravy. Janey had the delicious Juicy Lucy. We also had to try the wings and they did not disappoint! Nice big wings and not some rinky dink drumettes. Really delicious sauce! Wahiawa has some amazing food places worth checking out! Mahalo DBWH!

Yelp
Food: AMAZING . Go hungry or plan to share. You're gonna be stuffed. Service: Great service, nice ppl and friendly. Ambiance: Clean, easy vibe could use some softness but I get it. It's comfort food, so I wanted to be comfy... Overall? GO, Go Now!!

Yelp
Another great eatery comes to the Wahiawa! After one visit, it has become my new favorite burger place, just edging out my prior favorite OG burger place in Haleiwa *IYKYK. If you're looking for a meal that's equal parts tasty and messy, look no further than Da Burger Wing Hub. I started with the pork belly, which was crisped to perfection - every bite was a little crunchy celebration! Next up were the Hang Over Burger and the Comer Smashed Burger, both served with a pile of waffle fries. These burgers weren't here to play; they were juicy, loaded, and unapologetically messy - the kind of burgers that demand a stack of napkins and a shower immediately afterwards! If you bring a Tinder date here, you will be able to tell if he/she is one to get down and dirty, or is more mellow and lives a wholesome life. The parking can get full, but with places like Little Caesars, people may just be picking up food. So if it's full, it might be worth it to circle the block and check again. On the Saturday night I visited, there was also live music, which was a nice treat. This is a top-notch burger joint and I cannot wait to return to try both a sandwich (the Ruben is calling my name) and some wings!

Yelp
After a short drive from Ewa Beach to Wahiawa, we pull up to Da Burger Wing Hub and wouldn't you know it, parking curbside right in front of the door! Yessahh!! The restaurant was easy to find, right down from Shige's and next to Little Caesars. We picked a good time because, no waiting for a table. Lots of TVs around to catch a game too. Menus were brought and pupu and drinks were ordered. I got the matcha latte (iced) because it's delicious and I love a good matcha. He got a coke lol. Started with the fried pork belly appetizer ($11) and a french onion soup ($4.99). O.M.G! The pork belly was crispy but moist and tender. Super flavorful and the smoke taste was just right! Cannot go wrong with this dish! French onion soup was also smoky flavor with an awesome cheese pull. Lots of bread pieces and onions inside the broth. I chose the Reuben sandwich ($16) and he ordered the Barbeque Burger ($18). Both were awesome! My sandwich was stacked with pastrami and kraut. His burger had a little bit of everything in it. Cooked perfectly medium and not at all dry or tough. Both came with a side of waffle fries. As if I wasn't stuffed from all the food we ate, we both ordered croffles for dessert. Cuz you know we have a separate stomach just for dessert! I got strawberry and nutella, he got bananutella. The croffle was light and crisp. The fruits were fresh and sweet, especially with the nutella drizzled over the top! The only thing that could've made this dessert better - ice cream on top (coming in December)!! This joint is worth the drive - From anywhere on this island! Great food, great service, good prices, clean restaurant, and yes, alcoholic drinks too! Give them a visit, you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
How do you let your friends walk-in and take the last open table even though your 6pm Reservation is standing there waiting? And how do you let the next walk-in sit at the bar that you didn't offer to us? It's a bad look, bro.

Yelp
So the burgers are a 5/5 , kid meal chicken tenders and fries are good portions and fresh and hot 5/5. They have Coke products but no Coke Zero. The complimentary ice water was great. The let down was the waffle fries were not as great as the fries that came with the tenders. If they could bring up the flavor and quality in the waffle fry this might be one of my favorite places. Next let down was the creme brûlée was dry and heavier than great creme brûlée, and fruit on top was a little on the green side(not as ripe as preferred for me). On a positive they had a variety of options for desserts. Dining area was clean. Bathroom in restaurant. It was clean and stocked. Not as family friendly. Two high chairs available. But if you are family #3 dining in your out of luck. Also no changing table in bathroom. The service was good. The food came out in a timely manner. Servers were kind and courteous.

Yelp
***late post*** New place in Wahiawa. This place s located in the same place as Shige's so the parking is challenging. The inside is a little small. The decor is simple and clean. The service is nice and friendly. We had the Stuffed Fried Mushrooms for an appetizer, the French Dip and the Juicy Lucy Burger. I thought the appetizer, in my opinion, didn't need to be fried. The French dip was good and the burger was alright. With a little tweaking, it could be good. We haven't tried other things so we may be back. Our total bill was $52.36.

Yelp
Great food, personable & friendly service. Went for lunch. Tried the Juicy Lucy, upgraded to the poutine fries & the wings. All done to perfection. Wait staff checked in on from time to time but just right. Good ambiance. Parking is free up front but can be tight at times as Shige's is next door, also busy. Could park on a side street with a short walk. Would definitely go back to try the rest of the menu!

Yelp
New place to grind, located in Wahiawa next door to Little Caesar's across the street from Zippy's. The sandwiches are huge and everything tasty. Good to see a new restaurant in Wahiawa with different items on the menu. Sometimes the parking can get full, but the cars come and go so just wait a while and you'll be good.

Yelp
Definitely recommend if you're looking for a juicy, tasty, fulfilling burger. The service was amazing. Restaurant is very clean. Menu is decently priced. If it wasn't for the far drive I'd be back real soon to try more of the menu.

Yelp
My friend and I came across this place on Instagram and saw the very "extra" looking presentation of their burgers along with the positive reviews so decided to pay a visit. Upon arrival all of their regular table seating were all taken up and it would've taken a while to be seated at one (as we were told) so we decided to sit at the bar instead. My friend opted to order the pork belly as an appetizer. I ordered the lemon cream salmon and shrimp off their specials menu. My friend got the jerk rub wings and the hangover burger. The food took a bit but it was a reasonable wait, along with the tvs around playing shrek and the live music entertainment, the time went by fairly quickly. - Pork Belly: Crispy and juicy. Seasoned very well. Their lechon sauces could use some work in my opinion but it was a good pairing regardless. 8.8/10 - Jerk Rub Wings: My friend really enjoyed this and I would say I did too. The ranch dip really completed each bite. The wings were crispy and juicy. The jerk rub was flavorful and gave it a "steaky" taste. On its own, I would give it a 8.7/10, with the ranch I'd give it a 9.1/10 - Hangover burger: Since my friend ordered this I just got a couple of bites, it was good. Not even close to the best burger i've had but decent. Lowkey almost liked the fries more. 8.7/10 - Lemon Cream Pan Seared Salmon with Shrimp: A very disappointing experience for me. I was really debating between a burger or this but I ended up ordering something "special" hoping to be pleasantly surprised. I was very disappointed. The lemon flavor was too overpowering and strong, so instead of it being a compliment to the salmon and shrimp, it felt like i was eating a lemon along with the rest of the food with every bite. If you like lemon a lot maybe you'd enjoy it but it was unfortunately not for me, 6.2/10. I am tempted to give this spot another shot in the near future and making sure I order a burger instead LOL, hopefully it'd be worth the drive all the way from town the next time around.

Yelp
Parking is pretty limited. A lot of people stopping by to grab Little Caesars, just gotta wait for a little bit till they walk out with their pizza and garlic stuffed cheesy bread. Service was great. Always checked up on us and made sure our mason jars were full. We ordered the Juicy Lucy and the Ginger sesame beef burgers; The Juicy Lucy has a flavorful homemade spicy queso sauce while the patty itself was okay, not too much flavor. We expected the ginger sesame to have a more distinct flavor of ginger in the coleslaw. The wings were great!! Nice and juicy with a well balance of sauce and seasoning. Lastly we finished off with the churro cheesecake. This was our favorite. The churro itself was soft, not too crunchy which we preferred. And the cheesecake wasn't overpowering. It all blended nicely together. Definitely recommend this place overall. Just disappointed in the burger patties itself not having too much flavor but so far everything else we've had from the menu made our experience enjoyable.

Yelp
First time here, saw them on Hawaii News Now. The service was excellent, ate their chicken wings, didn't try any of their hamburgers yet, maybe next time. I did eat BLT which was really good. If you're in the Wahiawa area, give this place a try. Aloha, Derek

Yelp
#32 of 52 (weeks of trying a new restaurant at least once a week). I saw a video on Instagram of somebody trying this place and we were craving burgers so we decided to check it out. We went early on a Saturday. There are about 9-10 tables inside and then bar seating. Owner mentioned they don't have alcohol yet but are working that process. A young lady greeted and seated us. When we arrived there were only two other tables that had customers seated at them though by the time we left almost every table was taken. I knew I wanted to try the wings. The hard part was trying to determine which rub/sauce we wanted. We ended up ordering 4 wings ($13) and went with the hot honey habanero sauce. I know you're thinking 4 wings, that's not a lot but these are not your normal wings you get at other restaurants. Each wing is the entire wing including the drumstick, flat and then the throw away piece at the end with no meat. Essentially it's the same as 8 wings you'd get at other restaurants. For our sandwiches I went with the Cubano because I love Cuban sandwiches. My honey went with the Hangover Burger because he wanted bacon on his burger and that one included bacon. The wings came out first which was perfect. OMG....they were fantastic! I like how the wings aren't really breaded so you just get the flavor of the sauce and chicken. I was worried there would be a strong bourbon taste but I actually didn't taste any bourbon and I was fine with that. I normally eat so much ranch when I eat wings but I hardly ate any ranch. I kept dipping my chicken in the sauce at the bottom of the plate. My only complaint is I wish they had been spicier. They were pretty mild. Sandwiches were up next. All the sandwiches come with a few sweet pickle slices and waffle fries. I am not a fan of waffle fries but they were fine. A recommendation I have is to have ketchup available at the table. It took about 10 minutes to get some. I asked one lady and she got caught up taking payments, seating more people, working on take-out orders, etc. There were only two ladies working. We finally hailed down the other server and she went behind the bar, put some ketchup in a cup, and brought it out to us. The cuban was so good. Pork, ham, cheese, pickles, mustard all worked so well together. I also really liked the soft bun it came on. The star of the meal though was my honey's burger!! The meat was incredible and so well seasoned. It had an egg on it which was cooked perfectly. The bacon was great and the sauce just brought it all together. I am definitely getting a burger next time. The owner came around to check on us and see where we were coming from and how we heard about them. I told him how much we enjoyed the food. He said all the sauces for the wings are homemade and the one we had and the garlic parmesan are fan favorites. He said the burgers are wagyu which explains why they are so tasty. We told him we live in Mililani and that we have definitely found our new favorite burger spot. We will without a doubt visit this place over and over.

Yelp
Labor Day lunch plans didn't work out for my sister and me and that's how we came across this new and awesome gem in Wahiawa. Because everyone was out and about elsewhere, we were able to be seated right away. It was a hot day so we were looking forward to an iced tea of sorts and we came up to their iced coffees and drinks. I got the strawberry matcha while my sister got the Carmel macchiato. When it arrived, it looked more like shakes. It was as tasty as it looked and was more like a dessert. My ginger burger was cooked medium as I requested and it was pretty good. I was afraid that the ginger would be overwhelming but it wasn't, it was just right. My sister was loving her black and blue burger as she likes blue cheese. She ordered her burger well-done. But the good thing, it was just a tad bit pink in the middle and not overly cooked and dry like other places. The meal does come with fries and I was happy it came with waffle cut fries. I forgot it was a Monday as football was playing. They have several TVs so it's a good sports "bar". However, no liquor license at the time we dined here. And they have live music on Saturday evenings. The restaurant is nice and fresh. Simple yet elegant decor. The staff and owner were great and super appreciative. I do hope that Da Burger and Wing Hub will be a long lasting staple in Wahiawa along with its neighboring establishments. Fabulous experience- 5-stars from me.

Yelp
If I could come here for one thing only... it would be the wings! The wings are fried crispy but still retain some juiciness. The notes are smokey and each flavor is distinct. The sauce for dipping is rich and complimented the wings very well. The hot honey bourbon was unique, you can taste the bourbon. The burgers are very filling. I finished half a burger and it got me very full. The burgers were perfectly cooked to our requested medium rare. I wish the burger patty itself had more flavor. It kind of just tasted like ground beef. My fajita burger had flavorful veggies that helped but the jaw breaker burger was lacking in the flavor department. I wish there were more affordable options, I personally don't think the wagyu had any distinctive taste. The price tag would prevent me from returning more frequently.

Yelp
The food is amazing. The staff is chill, helpful and they know their stuff. There are cozy tables and no matter what time we go its always busy but never a long wait. The worst part is the parking situation, but still not as bad as town. The food is very local/american, good to above average sized portions and decent prices if you count the experience as part of the price. Don't miss out on monthly specials. We did a family of 5 adults and 2 kids for under $200 so it a great spot for families.

Yelp
Tried out this new spot. It's a nice small restaurant. The waiters were very friendly. Food came out juicy and hot! The wait for the food was actually pretty quick. I would say on the menu for the wings, they should add that it is a whole wing. I got the 8 piece not knowing it was the full wing, which I could've just gotten the 4 piece if I had known. I loved the smoke flavor of the wings. I got lemon pepper and mild. I wish the mild had a little more flavor to it, but it was still delicious. Definitely way better than Wing Stop & BWW. For a family of 4, I do think the food was reasonably priced. We enjoyed it and we'll be coming back again!

Yelp
8/24/24 @1656 This hidden gem is in the middle of Wahiawa. When we got there, there was only one other party there. We were greeted immediately by the friendly staff. The place gives off a very relaxing vibe. There's a small TV mounted in the corner. Live entertainment by a solo guitarist. She was pretty good. It was nice to have live music in the background. We ordered the Philly Cheese Sandwich, which came with waffle cut fries. Ceasars Salad and pork belly for starters. The food was tasty, and the portions were perfect. They had 2 desserts to choose from, and both were perfect endings to the meals. I recommend this place and will be back. PS. It's kinda hard to find because it's not visible from the main road.
