Checked out Da Burger Wings and Hub in Wahiawa, and it's definitely a spot worth trying if you're a burger or wing lover!
We started with their Black and Blue Burger--an 8oz wagyu patty topped with blue cheese, black peppercorn sauce, crispy pepper bacon, and the usual lettuce, tomato, and onion. Every bite was rich, flavorful, and packed with bold, savory notes. A solid option for any burger enthusiast!
Next, we went for their weekly special, the Fiery Volcanic Burger. This one comes with a jalapeño on top and gets literally lit on fire table-side. While the presentation was fun and dramatic, the alcohol for the flame didn't burn off completely, which slightly affected the flavor. A cool idea, but they could refine the process a bit!
We also sampled their wings and fried pork belly. The Honey Mustard Wings and Thai Chili Wings were massive and cooked perfectly. While the Thai chili sauce was tasty, it leaned sweet--don't expect much heat from this one. It tastes reminiscent of sweet thai chili sauce. The fried pork belly was crispy, indulgent, and a must-try for pork lovers.
Overall, Da Burger Wings and Hub serves up good food with lots of creativity, but there's room for minor improvements. We'll definitely be back to see how they grow--especially for that Black and Blue Burger!
