Da Laura Cannes

If you’re a student that just happened to cross this restaurant like we were, you will be scared by the price. It is NOT cheap. Oh but the pasta is amazing! Everything is nicely decorated and the Carbonara is an absolute must! Not a regular dining experience for sure but a fantastic first and last experience due to the weight it had on our wallets. Best carbonara ever:)

The staff were super friendly and accommodating, which is not always the case in France. The ambience was relaxed with colourful decor which made me smile. The food was good too. I ordered a simple pasta dish with spicy tomato sauce. It was simple, fresh and delicious.

The restaurant was a random choice. We actually chose the first restaurant we came across and asked if they had gluten-free options. They confirmed that they did, and we were seated. We were relatively early, and there were still a few spaces available. The food arrived quickly, tasted delicious, and the service was friendly and accommodating. However, as the restaurant filled up a bit, the wait for the staff to come back to us was a bit longer. There may be better Italian restaurants in Cannes, but we were very satisfied overall, even if the prices are a bit high.

22€ for mesclun salad, a bulb of fennel cut into 6 pieces, a sliced carrot, a bit of celery and 4 cherry tomatoes that they didn't even cut in half. Accompanied not by extra virgin olive oil, but just olive oil. The red wine was very unpleasant and I didn't drink it, but they insisted it was fine and charged 15€ for the glass. Grossly overpriced and refusing to accept the wine wasn't good - I'd never recommend it.

I would say that I was quite disappointed this year with Da Laura. It used to be a staple in Cannes, but the food served this year did not live up to the usual standard. The clams in the vongole were not fresh, and some have even gone bad in the frutti di mare. I expected a higher quality of ingredients. And as usual, the restaurant is super busy, so do expect a wait of about an hour if you didn’t make a reservation!

This was a disappointing dish. The carpaccio was well-executed, with thinly sliced beef that melted in the mouth. However, there were a few too many olives on top, which overpowered the delicate flavor of the carpaccio. The service at Da Laura was friendly and attentive. The servers were knowledgeable about the menu and provided helpful recommendations. The overall atmosphere was charming, with a cozy, casual vibe that was perfect for a relaxed Italian meal. While Da Laura may not be the best Italian restaurant in Cannes, it is a solid option that offers good food, friendly service, and a pleasant dining experience. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, enjoyable Italian meal in the heart of the city.

One of the best places to go in central Cannes. Don’t miss this one as best Italian place in central Cannes. Do make a reservation before you go. Excellent service and great food. Great choice of daily specials added to the menu are excellent choices. Many homemade pasta options with seafood or meat or vegetables. Great dining experience with extraordinary host. Enjoy

This place is very popular because it’s one of the few places in Cannes with authentic Italian food. It’s a hard reservation to get, especially during the film festival, but if you can get it… it will be worth it. This time around I had the special of the night and it was truffle pasta. I love ravioli, this was was a little too “Al dente” but still tasty. If you can come here while I’m Cannes you will be happy you did. I had the tiramisu to go. Solid dessert choice, again because it’s authentic.

In the mood for pasta we stopped here. We booth opted for the specials - burrata stuffed ravioli with truffle and tomato and eggplant risotto with smoked cheese. We enjoyed the flavors but we both felt the pasta was a bit undercooked. We also split a Cesar salad which was just ok. We had good service and enjoyed the outdoor seating but were left wanting a bit more from the meal.

Very good food and the ambiance was great. The staff was very helpful and we really enjoyed our meal there!

Not worth the wait. With a reservation we waited 15 mins to be seated. It took almost an hour after that for appetizers to come and another hour for our main dish which was small even for France. I left hungry and disappointed.

Da Laura had some really good food but the service left a lot to be desired. They forgot about our pasta and we watched table after table get their food and when she finally realized she forgot about us we did not receive any compensation. The food was great however the experience let me down.

So many good reviews we had to try it! And they were right. We are still thinking about the bread stick, cheese & salami? they gave us at the start. The flavors were singing. The place is a great little boîte not far from our hotel in Cannes. The wine was delicious, we started w a mozzarella (nice & creamy) and my pasta bolognese was perfectly done, just the right portion. Husband had the fruit de mer, lovely. We are back in NY now dreaming...Grazie & Merci !

Love this family owned and operated trattoria in Cannes. Laura, her husband and brother lead a wonderful group of like minded southern Italian teammates to deliver authentic dishes from the region.

This is a very good and genuine Italian restaurant in Cannes. We arrived late straight from the train station and they managed to find us a table in a quite full outdoor seating area without complaining about two large suitcases. The vegetarian pasta was delicious and fresh, and the desserts looked amazing. Would definitely go back!

Was really good in the past, but changed a lot unfortunately. Pasta was less than average, after you finished your dessert you pretty much have to leave immediately. And absolutely overpriced!!! Won't ever go there again!!

This Italian gem in Cannes is the best Italian place I've ever been to. Note, I've never been to Italy! The pasta dishes are fresh, consistent, and delicious...especially the specials with truffles when in season. The salads are also so fresh and tasty. Try the burrata salad. The desserts are excellent, especially the mascarpone and the panacotta dishes. Please seek this place out, you won't regret it. Reservations required or else you will be standing on the corner waiting for a table..at least they serve you some wine while you wait.

I love this place owned by real Italians who master their cuisine. The food is absolutely delicious (especially pastas) and really fresh. Ask for the day specials prices if not on the menu (just in case...). The Italian wine are excellent as well. For the happy hour they serve delicious "charcuterie" and "gressins" to accompany your glass of wine. On week-ends I encourage you to have an afternoon break with hot chocolate or a cappuccino and a pastry, a delight.

Enjoyed the food! First restaurant of my trip I would actually come back to -- ordered the truffle, ham, and burratina dish and it was really tasty! I also tasted the pastas with the saffron and the one with the chili and both were very good. Couldn't be more satisfied, enjoyed the service too!

This place could very well be the best italian restaurant in all of the South of France, or in Cannes at the very least. Each dish is prepared with love and you can taste it. Everything here is homemade and the atmosphere is elegant, comfortable and very chic - and the prices are reasonable too. I look forward to going there again - I highly recommend the pasta carbonara and tiramisu - I also had a taste of a baked bolognese pasta dish and a fruit tart that just blew me away. Great Italian food. Prices are reasonable. Great fun and happeneing atmosphere. Waiters are very friendly.

Well located and serves a killer ravioli, it's a nice little restaurant which does have a bit of an issue with some service, but not atypical to Cannes. Located at the tourist restaurant area it's definitely among the better ones there.

Horrible and rude service. We arrived at 6:30. The waiter just told us to go away as the kitchen didn't open till 7. We asked for drinks menu. He sat us at a dirty table and didn't give a shit. A friend joined us and he refused to change the small table to a big one. He was just an asshole.

The food was really good my linguini fruit de mare were altitude salty. My husband had tuna tar tar and it was really fresh and delicious. The service was very nice too.
