I came here originally earlier this year because they had Bun Nem Nuong (bun with charbroiled pork sausage) on their online menu. They didn't have it then and still don't -- and it's still shown online. But I've had a few other things.
Now I go here mainly just to get bun (cool vermicelli noodles) with either grilled pork (bun thit nuong) or with that plus egg rolls (bun thit nuong cha gio). Both are very good here, although the serving is a little smaller and the price higher than in other places that I frequent. Their bun with grilled shrimp is also good. The bun noodles in these dishes are extra-thin here but never stuck together. They're also nicely presented in a conical-shaped bowl.
I like that on the tables they have, in addition to hoisin sauce and siracha sauce, small jars of a hotter chili sauce that I prefer (since I like very spicy things), which you scoop out with a spoon. Some other places used to put out little jars of chili sauce like that but stopped during the pandemic (like condiment bars at Mexican restaurants, sigh).
The pho tai here is ok, and their bun bo hue is tasty. I don't go out of my way to get ether of those here, though. For pho tai, I prefer either Pho Hoa (beefy) or Pho Heip & Grill (soothing), and for bun bo hue, Mien Trung (authentic).
The place itself is very plain and has a semi-exposed kitchen. Service is ok, although more than once I've almost had to flag down the lone server in order to have them notice I was waiting at the door to be seated. I'd like the atmosphere better if the music was softer. (Or better yet, none at all.)
