New on the scene near Archer Road, Da Vinci fires Neapolitan‑style pies in a high‑heat oven and leans into handmade pastas. Early buzz from locals points to a promising, independent addition.

My first visit to Da Vinci was amazing, but the second time was even better thanks to Alejandra: a young woman with excellent attitude, charisma, service, and great recommendations that really made a difference. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere very pleasant — definitely a place to return to. The only thing I didn’t like was that at one point I felt ignored by a young man (short in height, I don’t remember his name). I asked for a drink, and he didn’t pay attention. I hope this can be improved, because the rest of the experience was excellent.

I was able to come in and try a good amount of food with my bf. We split the items and had the Caesar salad, bruschetta, a strawberry mojito and Rigatoni al Pollo. Caesar salad was simple and you could tell it was homemade . It was refreshing. The bruschetta was a perfect balance of fresh, vibrant flavors and satisfying textures. The tomatoes are bright, juicy, and bursting with natural sweetness. Every bite was crisp, refreshing, and packed with classic Italian flavors, garlicky and simple yet absolutely delicious. The rigatoni al pollo was lacking chicken. Frankly we waited 20 min and it looked like they whipped it up last minute when we asked how long it would be to get our pasta . There were like 6 skinny strips of chicken and for $21 I just was left wanting more out of the sauce and protein portion. We kindly asked to get a pizza instead and they were able to grant our request. They surely redeemed themselves with their Da Vinci pizza! It comes with Pomodoro sauce, fior di latte, pepperoni, peppadew peppers, fresh basil & hot honey. The fior de latte is the mozzarella cheese and it was so good. This pizza is was absolute flavor bomb, balancing sweet, spicy, tangy, and creamy in every bite. The pepperoni was crispy at the edges, bringing that smoky, savory punch, while the peppadew peppers add a mild heat and a touch of fruity sweetness that cuts through the richness beautifully. And the hot honey? Absolute genius, adding just the right amount of sticky sweetness and heat to make every bite irresistible.

This was our first visit and we can’t wait to return. Our cocktails and food were wonderful. The patio was extremely comfortable even on a warm summer evening. Our server, Adrian, was fantastic. This is the perfect spot for a date night or night out with friends!

Updated review 08/23 25 my church Tree City Church, had an interest party at DaVinci today, amazing pizza, amazing hospitality, and they also have an updated menu.I'm definitely looking forward to going back soon .This restaurant has been opened only for 2 days .the ambiance of the restaurant from The decor, the paintings to the artwork. The music sets a really good mood. The manager/owner came by our table explaining that their pastas are all homemade here on the premises. He was born Italy. What's fascinating to hear his story They have a full menu of beer ,wine and select signature drinks. The appetizers were tasty but I i wish there was more.It was so good. The restaurant is tucked away off of 34th street, you would not know it's back here unless you pulled in.I came across the yesterday, and i'm glad I did. The one thing i do want to say is that their water glasses are kind of small. I would like to see an larger water glass. Our main dishes were very tasty. The pasta has a very unique texture to it ,being made in-house. And expect to wait a little bit for your food if you order pasta, since its made to order. I do hope they do well in a large italian cuisine market here in Gainesville.

The vibe was great , our server was very friendly but bartender took an awfully long time to prepare my drink however, when it did come, it was quite nice. The pizza on the other hand was SO paper thin you couldn’t even pick it up! It made the toppings weigh down the pizza and caused the thin dough to get soggy which was even worse! I have had thin pizza but normally it would have a sturdy, thin, crispy bottom. They also say wood fired pizza but I was not completely convinced it was wood fired. I could be wrong here but I saw no fire and it was an open kitchen. A little bit of a bummer because as I said the place was very nice but the pizza was not enjoyable and over priced. I even brought it home thinking if I heated up maybe the bottom will get a little crispy but it was so think you can’t even heat it up properly! it still stayed floppy and soggy. :(

New favorite restaurant in Gainesville! Cute atmosphere, wonderful service, and absolutely delicious food! Some of the best Italian I’ve had in a while. If you go, ask for Amanda, she’s the sweetest!

Our server Amanda was sweet, friendly, and attentive. The food was delicious and very fresh. We enjoyed their pizza, salad, pasta, and tiramisu. The Leonardo Davinci themed decor was lovely. They have outdoor dining under red umbrellas. Try this new restaurant in Gainesville! You'll be glad you did!
