"Daddy’s Dogs does not take itself very seriously. It's a repurposed gas station painted bright yellow that blasts rock music all day, and the entire menu is made up of hot dogs topped with ingredients like peaches or peanut butter. Order the Big Daddy Dog for yourself—we’re officially Team Cream Cheese And Grilled Onion and you will be, too—and get your kiddo the Mac Daddy Dog because it’s literally a hot dog topped with mac and cheese. You should know they don’t do fries, just some great tater tots with toppings like eloté or chili. The corn dogs are also delicious and tall enough to double as a height chart." - Adam Sloan

"Daddy’s Dogs, a local chain founded in 2015 by Sean Porter, offers a Big Daddy hot dog at its stadium stand. This hot dog includes a quarter-pound all-beef hot dog topped with cream cheese, chopped bacon, grilled onion, jalapeño, a pickle spear, and chipotle mayo." - Jon Gugala

"When it comes to glizzies, Daddy’s Dogs 100% all-beef specialty dogs reign supreme. Cozy up on the patio at the flagship locations in the Nations or visit one of the satellite stalls around town for some seriously dressed-up dogs. Sooo good. Best hot dogs in all of Nashville! Its an old gas station that has been turned into an awesome, fun spot. They've got cornhole, picnic tables, and they delicious milkshakes too.

Kevin Shim

SerpAPI
Good hotdogs. The hotdogs were a bit too salty, and the bread is a bit too much for my tastes. However, I can’t imagine how they’d fit all the toppings without the large bread.

SerpAPI
Easily in my top 5 hotdog places without a doubt! The hotdogs were proper and didn’t let down on flavor or presentation. Getting a chili dog and a Carolina dog was almost a no brainer after seeing their pictures online and boy did they live up! Their chili is hearty and very flavorful. It also has beans in it, which I like and keeps it as chili and not beef sauce. The Carolina dog won me over more. Their secret sauce was amazing! That will be added to more things on my next trip. The coleslaw wasn’t runny and wasn’t just Hobbes up and mounded on it taking away from the BBQ sauce and Bacon! Tots were cooked perfectly as well for the best side to add. All in all, Daddy’s made the Top 5 no problem!

Beef dogs . Huge . Size matters here 😁 . Personally I didn’t really care for this spot taste wise but customer service was good . Fresh food. I do like the music city dog more than the Mac daddy. Outdoor sitting at this location only .

Come periodically with the family, love the variety and the moonshine sippy-paks are awesome. Tater tots always feed a small village lol.

SerpAPI
I always love being able to support our customers especially when they are featured in the Best in Nashville Festival! The big daddy dog was outstanding!

Delicious dogs, crispy tots, friendly staff, great variety of toppings!

Great retro carry out vibe with tasty dogs of all sorts of topping options.

Yelp
Daddy is an actual angel. A true vibe. A god among men. Top tier attitude and service and goods. A force to be reckoned with and a treat every time. 10/10

Yelp
Great late night snack! The restaurant looks like it's built from remnants of a gas station and has very unique and quirky decals throughout. Outside covered seating only. Very quick service. We ordered the elote dog and the Chicago dog, and really enjoyed both but especially the elote dog! Tots were as expected and good as well. Appreciate the creativity and convenience of this place!

Jeff T.

Yelp
The place to visit when you're craving a hot dog! Large, delicious hot dogs served on high quality, toasted buns. Outdoor seating only at this location. You order your food at one window, pickup your food at another. The menu is solid, with several classic dogs and also some with creative sets of toppings. Staff are friendly and helpful. On this visit, I had the New York Dog (sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard) with added jalapeños. It was delicious! I also added a side of their warm and creamy Mac and cheese. It was much tastier than I expected and I would order it again.

Yelp
Yum! Great hot dogs with some creative toppings. I had previously experience Daddy's Dogs at some events in the area, which was sort of a variation on a food truck experience. The location in The Nations is sort of like a permanent food truck installation, in the best way possible. First off, the hot dogs are really good. The meat is really flavorful and large, the bun is huge and good and they toast them nicely, and the range of toppings available is pretty great. I think there's just about something for everyone here when it comes to toppings. The only seating is outdoors, but much of that is covered. You order at a kiosk and pick up around the corner. The service was friendly and my order was prepared promptly. Everything is made to order, so it will be hot when you get it. I opted for the Carolina this time, and at events I've gotten the Music City. Both were excellent. Don't be fooled by the casual vibe of this place. In fact, embrace that casual vibe and come hang out for some tasty food and some fresh air. You might make a friend or two, and you'll surely be full from the large hot dogs and happy with the great taste.

Yelp
Yummy little place to stop off for a quick lunch! My husband had the Big Daddy Dog with no jalapeno - cream cheese, bacon, pickles, onion, and secret sauce. His dog was great! I wish I had got that one! I had Music City - bacon, cheddar cheese, onions, and BBQ sauce. This would have been really good, but it was cold! Freezing cold sauce, unmelted cheese. I ended up just eating the dog itself with a fork and knife since it was a big cold mess spilling all over the place. We got an order of tots, they were nothing special. I had a chocolate peanut butter whiskey shake that was awesome! She asked if I wanted an extra shot of peanut butter whiskey, why not? I shot it instead of mixing it in the with shake, delish :) The dogs here are huge and priced well. It's definitely a full meal!

Danielle H.

Yelp
While in Nashville me and some friends grabbed lunch here and were blown away by how good it was! I love hotdogs so I was excited to come try these and they definitely did not disappoint. I ordered the big daddy dog, Mac daddy, and split elote loaded tots with my friends. Both of my hotdogs were SO GOOD. They are pretty large and loaded with yummy toppings. The flavors on both were such good combinations. The buns had a nice toast to them. The elote tots were very good as well. They were loaded with chili, bacon, corn, cheese, jalapeños, and special sauce. If you like elote and tots then you'll love these! It was the perfect combo of flavors. The location we stopped out is a stand with outdoor seating so it's the perfect spot for food on a nice day. If you are in the area and like hotdogs then you have to give it a try!

Yelp
Daddy's dogs is a must eat in the Nations! My favorite is the Elote dog. The tots and special sauce are amazing. Their shakes are also very good! Love the rotating monthly specials. A good place to sit outside with your pup too!

Heywood M.

Yelp
Off-the-chain good. Quality ingredients, hot, a great bun - toasted to pure perfection. A lot of different styles that are both creative and original, and true to age-old versions (an authentic Chicago dog, for instance). Fast, friendly, and their sign out front always makes me laugh. Worth stopping into.

Yelp
Dropped by here yesterday for lunch. The people here are super friendly. The food is incredible. The hot dog buns are grilled and have that little bit of char on them. Plus the vibe is of the spot is rad -- looks to be an old gas station. I got the Chicago dog, which was great, my daughter loved the New York, and my wife got the Toronto (bacon, maple syrup, and peanut butter). Expert tip if you get the Toronto, ask for some sriracha on top. The added spice counterbalances the syrup perfectly. Would I go back? Without a doubt!

Christina D.

Yelp
Got take out from here a little while ago. The staff was helpful in helping me choose my food and I ended up having the Elote with tater tots on the side. I liked the grilled corn which complemented the grilled hot dog and tater tots were super crispy without being hard, but otherwise thought the hot dog was good but not outstanding. Glad I tried this place as it was decent, but not sure I'd go out of my way to go back.

Jess N.

Yelp
Amazing food ! I had the pleasure of enjoying the Elote dog while my boyfriend picked the Mac daddy dog. Service was great and quick! Super chill spot for a quick bite

Sam S.

Yelp
Awesome milkshakes and great ambiance. Tots are a lil over seasoned thoooooooooooooooo

Chay W.

Yelp
One of the best dogs in town. The food is always fresh and taTe amazing. I'm not a big hot dog fan but I can definitely eat these any day of the week!

Ciara J.

Yelp
Good 5/5 across the board -- food, service and ambiance. I'll be back to try different dogs. I like that you can order a Miller High Life with you meal!

Tommy B.

Yelp
At first, I thought Daddy's was a little expensive for my liking. But for how much food you get, it's worth it. I ordered two dogs (Mac n cheese dog // lone wolf) + tater tots and I didn't come close to finishing. Mac n cheese dog alone is a meal. I ordered at the window, food came out super quick, workers were very friendly and attentive. The only thing I don't love is that the buns seem too big for my liking, but it won't stop me from ordering again.

Jasmine C.

Yelp
The service was great. I called ahead to place my order and was quoted 10 minutes, but when I arrived I ended up waiting an additional 10-15 minutes for my order. Which was perfectly fine because everything was made fresh. If you go to The Nations location, sit outside and read all their posted signs, you're guaranteed a good chuckle. I ordered the Elote tots and a corndog, which was $18. A bit pricey for a corndog that appeared burnt and breading lacked flavor or a decent taste like most corn dogs you'd find at a carnival or theme park. I would've been content with the Elote tots. They were AMAZING. They look messy, but they are a mess I'm willing to partake in. Honestly, their hotdogs and tots are a game changer. You can do without ever trying the corndog, it's not something I would order again.

Ron W.

Yelp
I was very excited about dining at Daddy Dog the recently opened restaurant in Factory in Franklin. First let me point out the service was awful. The counter was covered with taped down with brown paper. After one customer left, the food and drink spots remained. Not one of the 3 people working acknowledge we were sitting in two of six chair at their counter. One guy with extremely long hair and no sanitary hair net merely walked around behind the counter seemingly purposely ignoring customers. Why? No one even offered a menu or instructions in how the process works. If the general public question why new business fail in the first year or sooner, keep one eye on Daddy Dogs. It's because of business practices and ownership like those at Daddy Dogs. I would just take a walk on this establishment.

Eliza R.

Yelp
Complete slop. I eat one hotdog a year and came here based on the reviews. My sister ordered the chili dog and I ordered the Lone Wolf. Mine was on a stale, dry, hard bun with maybe a teaspoon of relish. The hotdog was not grilled and barely warm. The tater tots were barely warm. My sister's dog was equally as dreadful with the same stale hard bun. She said the chili was barely warm and flavorless. Even the chips were stale! LOL! The photo I am posting with this review is what we threw in the trash. I definitely would not recommend.

Kaylee I.

Yelp
AMAZING!!!! Their hotdogs are definitely worth the stop. Great service, and the vibes there are awesome.

Nate M.

Yelp
That's a damn good dog! This place has been on my short list for a long time and I finally found my way out to the Nations and made Daddy's dogs a priority. I got the Big Daddy Dog and this MFer is huge. A Johnny Sins sized hot dog topped with cream cheese, bacon, pickles, grilled onions, jalapeños and something called, "Daddy's Secret Sauce". I literally inhaled this dog. The spicy jalapeños and the cream cheese is such an awesome topping for a hot dog and the grilled onions and bacon, just sealed the deal for me. This might be the best hunk of meat on two buns since... Is this an erotic thriller or a review for a hot dog place? Jeepers! There's only outdoor seating and the parking situation isn't ideal, but it's worth it for Big Daddy's dogs. Make sure to check out their Printer's Alley location!

Alexa H.

Yelp
Carolina dog was So good also did the loaded tots and they were delicious ! I will be stopping in again when I'm down in that area

Allison F.

Yelp
Amazing! I love this place the service and food and creativity and fun! I would always recommend this place to anyone in town!

William W.

Yelp
Never in my life would I have bestowed a five-star rating on a hotdog stand, not even in Chicago nor New York ... until now! Just one bite into a masterpiece at Daddy's Dogs and my mind was sufficiently blown! As a foodie not necessarily fond of hotdogs (when you can grab some fabulous fried chicken or a masterful burger all over Nashville), this experience made me a believer! The sausage is of spectacular quality, phenomenal meat sitting atop an impossibly perfect bun. Those buns HAVE to be homemade, because there isn't any other interpretation for such magnificence! The Music City dog was my selection, complete with cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, and barbecue sauce. But it was the chopped onions that defied logic. They weren't raw, nor were they soft and sautéed. The onions were somewhere in between those extremes but impossibly mild, complementary of the overall flavor without being extremely oniony (which will ruin most dishes). I don't know how they made such subtle chopped onions, but they did it! When visiting Nashville, Daddy's Dogs is a must! The menu variety, the customer service, the wonderful sides, even the ambience of an old gas station converted to an outdoor space to which everyone from construction workers to commoners flock, it's all worth a trip to the western suburbs of Nashville!

Alyssa M.

Yelp
This place was so fun to eat at! You order at a walk up window, then they call your name over a microphone when your order is ready. The hot dogs were fantastic and they had so many options. The hardest part was choosing what I wanted to eat! There were cornhole boards and alcoholic drinks available. They were also dog friendly which is a huge plus!

meg g.

Yelp
My friends and I enjoyed Daddy's Dogs on the fourth of July this year!! We got the Music City Dog, The New Yorker, and The Carolina. We got sides of slaw, mac and cheese, and tater tots. We really enjoyed the dogs! The service was quick and the food was hot! They also had great music playing in the outside area!!

Emily M.

Yelp
Not a fan of hot dogs but I wanted another one after I ate this. Good stuff! My group all got these for dinner.

Justin J.

Yelp
This is a place that might look like it doesn't have any frills but the food has all the pizzazz you would want from a hot dog stand putting some flair on the traditional dog. Every bun is grilled and then topped with their hot dog and your choice of toppings. Their hot of dog of the month keeps you guessing. I tried a charcuterie dog which, from the description, I was skeptical. But, I gave it a shot and I'm glad they proved me wrong. Would definitely recommend!

Audrey H.

Yelp
Great! I'm a Chicago Hot Dog snob, so no fluorescent green relish? No way babe! But bypass that and go for the Carolina. Every bite was better than the previous one. Loaded tater tots are fantastic!

Kaeley G.

Yelp
The staff were sometimes not friendly, but the rest of the experience was so great that it didn't bother us that much. Loved the seating outside, the music, and the food was incredible. I got the big daddy and it was so good. The flavors work so well together and the dog itself was super flavorful and big. My husband got the chicago and he was also super impressed. Only thing I personally was not crazy about was the size of the bun. It tastes amazing, I just wish it wasn't so big. We will definitely be back for more. Love that this place exists.

Robert P.

Yelp
I tried to order a beer but their dumb new rule says they don't accept vertical id anymore.

Katie B.

Yelp
My husband and I ate here at the recommendation of a friend and we absolutely loved it! The food was so good, and the atmosphere was really adorable. My husband felt validated when he saw the High Life Happy Hour (he loves a cheap beer). Both of our dogs had so much flavor. I also highly recommend ordering the loaded tots- you will not be disappointed. Bonus point for being pup friendly!

Sarah W.

Yelp
The name says it all. Lol! Normally I focus on the food, but I have to say I was so impressed with the branding and the experience eating here. Omg, their playlist is also throwback epic: Pony, Unbreak My Heart, etc. It definitely gave me a chuckle! They offer an elevated spin in your everyday hot dog, so no more limp, skimpy grilled hot dog you might have gotten from summer camp as a kid. No. Instead, you get a really thick, meaty grilled dog dressed up to the nines with decadent fixings and creative flavors. I got the Georgia dog ($7), which has Georgia peaches, jalapeños, and their secret "sawce" which I think is like a sriracha Mayo situation. Oh, and I got a side of tots too ($4). $11 even! So all in all, a filling and quick lunch spot that has great outdoor seating if you're at the Nations location. Overall, the flavor of the dog was alright, nothing super special about the bun ir the flavor of the sausage itself, but it was tasty. I think next time I'll get something that has a little bit more acidity, like a relish topping, to balance out to the cattiness of the dog. Cute spot for a quick filling bite and a good chuckle with many puns.

Jr. T.

Yelp
Staff was nice. My friend and I both got Chicago dogs. The bread was way too thick for our liking. The hotdog looked and tasted exactly like a Costco dog. Doubt we'll be back.

Catherine P.

Yelp
For some reason Daddy's Dogs continuously popped up on my Social Media page....so I figured that was a sure sign that I needed to checked them out! When I say they didn't disappoint! They had quite a few styles of hot dogs to choose from so I went with the New York Dog for my 1st time and Tater Tots. EVERYTHING was delicious! Not only was their food good, the service was worth 10 stars! You should definitely checkout 1 of their locations ASAP!

Cindy K.

Yelp
What a fun place! In my research pre-Nashville I was looking for good, cheap, and local eats...preferably NOT downtown, and not a *drinking hole* or dive bar because my companions were under 21. This DEFINITELY fit the bill! All of our tummies were stuffed and satisfied by the time we were done. The service was great. Smiling cashier made me feel welcome and the food was hot off the fryer when we got it. It's a little more than your hot dog truck, of course, but when you take pride in your ingredients and customer service it goes a loooooong way. Plus it's vacation. I mean everything costs more on vacation, right?

Hattie J.

Yelp
Three words... messy and delicious!!! If you're looking for a hot dog with a little more umph and flair, this is the place to go!!! With traditional dogs like the Chicago dog, and imaginative dogs like the Georgia dog (which has peaches, cream cheese, and jalapenos)... there is something for everyone! As a side note, they do have vegan dogs for any non-meaters out there!

John M.

Yelp
A great hot dog stand in Nashville, Tennessee. They offer huge all beef hot dogs with a variety of topping. I opted for the New York dog with sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard. I would have opted for the chili dog, however their chili had beans in it. I stand by the belief that beans do not go in chili for hot dogs. I would hazard a guess that the hot dog was a quarter pound and had a nice char on it. It was very good. Daddy's Dogs is also a cool place to eat. It has a little building and you order from a window, you can sit at one of the benches, and they will bring you your food. This is a great place to grab a hot dog and maybe fries or tots.

J J.

Yelp
Really good hot dog but was surprisingly let down by the hot dog bun. It looked so good and I was expecting it to be soft and buttery but it was insanely dry and had no flavor to it. It had a really airy, crumbly texture. Not a fan. I kind of want to go back and get a corn dog though haha maybe that's more my jam.

Brittany D.

Yelp
Came here from a friend's referral since I wasn't able to try I Dream of Weenie! I love a good dog, so I was ready for a good time. There's ample free parking in the lot, I imagine they can get pretty busy though! The area is very spacious with a tent over a portion to block the sun, then they have seating for those of us that like more vitamin D, sun and all! You go to the window to order. The menu is on the whole wall, so you can't miss it and if you're going blind you can definitely read it! There's a large selection of dogs and they have some good side items as well. They offer a decently large drink selection and milkshakes, which for a bit more you can have made with a spirit ... I got the Georgia dog that has peaches and jalapeños on it- omg !!!! So in love! I got the slaw for my side; it's a bit spicy but not overwhelming and very fresh for a warm day. They call your name when your order is ready, and honestly I felt like a contestant on The Price is Right ! (Okay, that might have been the beer, but I was feeling it) !!! Everything is well priced, especially for the size of the dog.... and who doesn't love some saucy innuendo when they go eat?!?! I do love this place! It's fun, I'll be back!

PC S.

Yelp
Amazing! Cool environment and food is awesome! P had the Music City and loved it! The only thing missing from the Music City is spicy flavor. I went with the Lone Wolf, sub cole slaw for relish and it was awesome! The toasted buns are fantastic! The elote tots are WOW! PBW and C boozy milkshake is spot on! And in their words.....size matters

Richard S.

Yelp
nothing special- taters overcooked and cold dog slightly warm- didn't melt cheese I don't think I can recommend

Rachel R.

Yelp
Excellent place! Brought the family here for some dinner and was not disappointed. The quality of the actual hot dog is excellent; All beef 1/4lb hot dogs. The buns are white sub rolls and were toasted on a grill. I am outrageously picky about my tater tots, and these were exactly the way I wanted them - seasoned well and super crunchy. Also, they have the glass bottles of Coke, which are increasingly difficult to find at a restaurant. Me and our two youngest had plain hot dogs; MT husband got a Philly 'wit' (grilled peppers and onions with cheese wiz) and our oldest got one with bacon, BBQ sauce, shredded cheddar, and onions along with loaded tots. (Be warned - the chili has beans in it, unfortunately) The staff was friendly and the service was super quick. I don't think it took longer than 10 minutes to get our food. We will definitely be back!

John C.

Yelp
Arrived at the Nashville airport and immediately headed to Daddy's Dogs. I've been following them on Instagram for awhile and I knew I needed Daddy's in my life. Pulled up to the Nation's location minutes after it opened and it was understandably pretty quiet. I perused the menu and settled on the Music City Dog (bacon, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce). Counter service was quick and easy. I sat at a picnic table and my name was quickly called. The dog was huge with whole strips of bacon and a big bun. The BBQ sauce was good and I would have loved a bit more on the dog. The ambiance of the place is pretty cool. I loved the signage. I bet the place is really hopping late night. Thanks for a great experience Daddy's Dogs!

Dave D.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our Chicago style dog -- added brown mustard and a few jalapeños to spice it up. The hot dog was good quality beef and the bun very fresh. We added a side of tots that I loved and wifey wanted a bit more seasoned, but the dip sauce made up for that. Add in 2 cold Miller High Life's on a hot day, warm sun from sitting outside and it was a perfect lunch. Service staff is friendly and Big Daddy, the owner, was helpful with our original selection. We have seen him a few times around town and can't wait until his walk up opens in Printers Alley in April of 2019. If you are craving a good hot dog -- Daddy's is the place!!

Aaron W.

Yelp
YUM! A hot dog is a hot dog right? Wrong! So good, so original, so quality, and all the folks who work here are so nice. The first time I went I got the Big Daddy but inhaled it before snapping a photo. Went back literally the next day when I saw they had a brunch menu and the Basic Breakfast Dog was so incredible! Topped with bacon, eggs and cheese. I can't even imagine how amazing it would taste if you were hungover It's especially a great spot in the COVID age because they don't even have any indoor seating. A nice patio with picnic tables and fun bright colors makes it a great outdoor space to chill for a while.

Natasha S.

Yelp
We were at an outside fair. The service was quick, the ordering staff were friendly. The hot dogs were big and tasted great!

Zac H.

Yelp
The place definitely isn't bad but I'm confused by all the 5 star reviews. At best the dogs were above average and they weren't cheap. Yes the portion sizes are big but they are pricey for what you get. The chili dog uses a regular beef and bean chili and not the standard meat heavy chili you would expect to get on a chili dog. To top it off the chili wasn't that good. The Big Daddy was the best of the dogs we got but even it clocked in just above average. The loaded tots used the same chili as the chili dog so if you're not a fan of their chili avoid these. The tots themselves were nice and crispy but really salty. They have an area outside set up with dining tables and even a nice tented area with heat lamps. It comes down to personal preference but I really like the order and pickup window setup with the outside dining. Its not only charming but getting to be a rare experience. Overall for me it's not a return stop. The flavors just weren't there and it was way too pricey.

Miguelitoo D.

Yelp
Man was this the best hot dog I've ever had. Everytime we are in Nashville I've got to look up where this place is set up at. It's a little pricey for a hot dog but well worth it for the flavor. And don't let the weird combination of toppings throw you off, they work really well.

Danielle T.

Yelp
Confession: sometimes I'm a bad vegetarian and hot dogs are my vice. Give me your NY food cart, your little german market, your ball game and now I can add Daddy's Dogs to that go-to list. We tried their specialty dog, "The Big Daddy" and it was out of this world. I am normally a simple kinda gal who likes mustard + relish + onions. This had jalapeños, a secret sauce, cream cheese,...and I was a little skeptical of the cream cheese especially but it all worked! The flavors were amazing together. We also tried their loaded tots which were a take on chili cheese fries. Also amazing. A little heavy on seasoning but then again I am sensitive to salt. Lastly we finished our epic meal off with two of their shakes. I tried the fruity pebbles which was great and reminded me of (a much better version) the cereal milk ice cream from Milk in NYC. I have to mention that they DO offer the Lightlife vegan dogs which I like and plan on getting next time.
