From the outside, the interior doesn’t look too inviting – clean, but quite plain. However, I received a very warm welcome as soon as I stepped in, which immediately set a positive tone.
I ordered the beyenetu, which was also advertised outside. Having visited probably around 30 Ethiopian restaurants in London, I was a bit apprehensive at first — usually, when places display pictures of their food, the real thing never looks the same. But to my massive surprise, the exact same platter arrived, and it was absolutely delicious!
The teff injera was amazing, all the dishes were perfectly seasoned, and the greens were fresh and flavourful. The lady serving was very attentive and smiley, and she even offered to pack the leftovers when I couldn’t finish everything.
I’ll definitely be coming back. A true hidden gem!
