This was one of our best meal here in Guangzhou! Food was delicious and certainly up to standard. Arrived half an hour before opening and snagged the first slot. As a speciality pigeon restaurant it will definitely be memorable as we enjoyed every dish that we ordered. We preferred the Braised Pigeon a tad better than the Salt Baked one but both were yummy! The Truffle Pigeon Rice was cooked to perfection, especially with the crispy rice crust. The croaker fish dish was well executed too. We enjoyed our order of unusual Goji Berry Vegetable despite being warned that it might be a little bitter. The service was efficient and impeccable. The restaurant was tastefully furnished inside despite the possible crowd at the waiting area.

Tip on weekends Fri - Sun, come early at 430pm to collect your queue ticket especially if your group is bigger than 4-10 (weekday you can collect your ticket at 530pm to be seated by 630-7pm depending on the queue number). Scan the QR code on the ticket using WeChat and it will update you on the queue number. So you can go shop while your queue countdowns, if you wait more than 1 hour, you will get a free roast pigeon! Tip join WeChat and scan the QR code on the table to order your food and joining the membership gets discount on the food and earns u points for further discounts. The roast pigeon is must try and the clay pot rice is really good! The baby wawa lettuce is really sweet and soft. Kids get a free chawamushi or porridge dish. The clay pot bee hoon is good too! The local vegetables is good too!

We came at 7pm and waited until 8:30pm for a table. There are chairs outside to sit on to wait, so be prepared! The service was 100%-similar to haidailo. They provided us with gloves for men, women and kids. We wanted to get a table earlier so asked if we could sit on a smaller table as we had two children. In the end I believe gave a 6 person table for our group of 8. At this point, we were too hungry to care. You must order the signature quail. We ordered it twice! The quail comes out whole and is cut up in front of you with a pair of scissors. The clay pot rice was so good. My mum tried the sesame quail, but I felt it wasn’t as good as the signature one. The belly pork so was good. We ordered a sample portion, and it wasn’t a lot of pieces so we ordered the large portion as well. We also loved the sweet and sour pork. It was the first time I’ve seen fruit, other than pineapple, added to this dish. We ordered another portion in the end! Next time we come to GZ, we will definitely be coming back. I’m wondering if there is a quieter time to come so we don’t have to queue so long. 10/10!

Delectable roast pigeon the crowd-puller here, prepared in different ways. The house roast is delicious as is the honey roasted and “lou sui” (braised in a lightly spiced stock). Also recommended are the claypot rice with truffled pigeon, steamed okra with glass noodles and crispy brinjal. Some wait time is inevitable due to the restaurant’s popularity; between 30 minutes and a hour or more. Service is cordial, professionally hospitable and accommodating. Lively atmosphere with plenty of Chinese decorative touches; an artful blend of old and new.

Long snaking queues to get in during peak hours. So either get a queue number & return later or go during off peak hours. The pigeon is pretty good but would not say mind blowing. We chose 2 different options and different groups of people had different preferences. The char siew is extremely fatty & melts in your mouth. The pigeon claypot rice had gizzards in them, and the crunch lent a textural difference to the dish. The surprise for us was the garlic lady’s fingers. The lady’s fingers were well cooked, and had no lingering fibers in them, and paired wonderfully with the garlic sauce. In all, an above average meal where everyone will have a favorite dish within the menu.

Queue is always long. Came at 8pm and they stopped accepting customers. Lucky someone decided to give up their queue ticket for 60rmb. You get a free roasted pigeon if your queue no. has exceeded 1h of wait time. Apparently some people get queue no. just to sell that to others. In anyway, it’s a win win for both sides. Roasted pigeon is juicy and delicious. 5⭐️ The pigeon soup is also very tasty and mouth-watering.

A Guangzhou Culinary MUST-EAT (But Plan for a Wait!) There are multiple convenient branches across the city. Be prepared for a significant queue: expect to wait up to 30 minutes during off-peak hours and potentially 1.5 hours during peak times. The star of the menu is the Pigeon—we highly recommend the ginger version. A word of caution: Do not order the char siew; approximately 80% of it consisted of pure fat. Service is excellent: staff are nice and friendly, and service is remarkably fast. They even offer a guarantee: if your food is not served within 30 minutes, your meal is free.

i loved pigeon and the food was good, we had cauliflower, yellow fish and a tenderly crisp claypot rice with the complimentary pigeon bcos we had to wait for an hour please. Actually we bought a number queue from someone who got the number earlier. Enjoy the fad bcos while the food is good, you won’t queue up for 2.5 hours on a sunday afternoon like a friend of mine, impeccable service was the highlight even though working there must be so stressful with the high volumes
