Family Review! Pizza was sooo good. The kids sliders are good with cheddar cheese. The pizza was good but were like lays bags (40% air). Service was alright 10-20 for 4 items and one entrees. The atmosphere is beautiful at night but there wasn’t that many people so it’s a 4. Another thing about the service, when we got there there was one person who was giving the the menu, one who gave us water, and one who actually did serve us. So it was kind of confusing. That’s why it’s a 3. So since we each had different opinions I averaged them out 4/5 stars. Thank you for reading! 9/6/24

This place has been on my to do list for ages. Came on a quiet Thursday night, no issue with seating. Going to get a SOLID pie here. Cheesy goodness. The Italian sausage was on point. Wanted a bit more crunch on the crust but flavor is spot on. Sauce on the sweet side. Overall a good pizza that I would come back for.

This place has been around forever and has great pizza. I love the thin crust. I went to this location for dinner during the week it was a little busy, but I was seated right away. The staff was amazing the food is always good and they have other locations.

The pizza here was decent, with a good texture on the thin pan crust selections. However, the Dags Special pizza seemed to lack some flavor in its toppings. On the bright side, the fried calamari appetizer was amazing. The service was friendly, and there's lot of seating available in the basement level.

No one was there so we were sat quickly. The food was also brought pretty quickly. The taste of the pizza was good needed more flavor but the crust was on point so crunchy and tasty. The carrot cake had a fridge-like taste but the strawberry ice cream tasted good. I wouldn't mind going back.

I've been going here for years. It's my family's favorite pizza. They partner with my kids' school. Loved going here, but after my last visit, I'm not sure when we'll be back next. I was charged 13.xx for two slices to go. Payed with card, signed. Next day I get an alert that they increased the amount by $1. Called and asked why and she didn't have an explanation. Made it seem like $1 isn't a big deal. It's the point of it. If they did this to everyone, it would be a lot more than $1.

We stopped in here for dinner before a movie up the block at the Music Box. Their pizza was good: tavern style had a substantial crust, tasty pepperoni and a good flavor overall, and it came out pretty quickly, which is always nice when you have places to be. There are other options on the menu including appetizers, wings, sandwiches and salads, plus deep dish pizza if you'd prefer that. Our waitress (younger than me) kept calling me "dear," so I guess it's a friendly place.

I love that Dags is here and I haven't had a bad time here yet. Thin crust pizza is their specialty, and I love it. Don't overlook their calzones: they are about twice as big as I would've expected and delicious. They also make good pasta: I tried their ravioli with spinach and cheese (your choice of sauce) most recently and it was surprisingly tasty. Garlic bread is a must as well. Buttery and crisp without being too crunchy. Salads are decent: a nice foil to the heavier foods. They have Pibb Extra, which is a soda that's right up my alley. It's close enough to Wrigley Field, but far enough to get away from the busyness of it. Service is good. It's got a welcoming, neighborhood vibe to it, classy, but casual and friendly. They've been around since 1968, but it still feels fresh and new.

Ordered take out from here as part of a school fundraiser. I'd always been curious about this place, but no one warned me how sweet the sauce is. It was okay on the thin crust, but as a thick layer on the deep dish, it really overwhelmed everything. The crust itself also had a flavor I could not place. I did enjoy the toasted ravioli appetizer...but I skipped the sauce dip. If you like super sweet tomato sauce, this is the place for you. My family does not, so we'll be eating elsewhere.

My first experience at D'Agostino's! Three things I loved. Sweet tomato sauce, thin crust, and large slice! Around the corner of the main entrance is a tiny entrance for pickups and pizza slices. Service was standard and quick. Ambiance is divey with 3 stools with a table that runs across the window. Check it out!

The food is good here, but the service stinks, in large part because they refused to take off the $1.50 "service tax" for placing take out orders online. Plus, the manager was too busy to come out to help me. No other place I know charges a "service tax" for ordering pick up online. Beware of this practice!

Stopped in before a Cub's game for a quick lunch. We were immediately greeted upon entering and seated. There is plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. We split a small margherita pizza, which was much larger than expected. The pizza was good, nothing special. The crust was very thin, but the tomatoes should have been sliced thinner and were too chunky. There was lots of cheese in the middle, it was almost too much. I ordered a side salad which was a basic salad, with few cherry tomatoes, onions and croutons. Our server seemed annoyed he had to work and we were bothering him being there. It is a convenient option when in the area.

First of all, when ordering online, I still don't understand the difference between pan and stuffed and deep dish and I could not find a description anywhere. Then, when I picked up my takeout pizza and put it on my lap in the car, it ended up leaking out the corner and getting all over my pants (thankfully it didn't seem to stain). In the Dags Special pizza, the peppers and onions were way too big and undercooked to where they were a little too crunchy. The mushrooms were good, but I don't think there were many. The sausage was yummy at least. I did enjoy the Tuscan salad, too.

Walked by for a slice and they had both thin crust and deep dish. I went for the deep dish and it did not disappoint. The sauce was amazing, a little on the sweeter side which I like. Definitely glad I stopped in!

One of my favorite deep dish pizzas I have had in Chicago! Very chill environment. Perfect to stop at before a Cub's game. Was not super busy which was nice before a busy game day.

We went here before a college football game at Wrigley. We needed beer and food. It was busy which is no shocker. As a group of 6 (3 teens, 3 adults) we were told we could start outside under the heat lamps and when a specific group a specific table finishes their beer and leaves, we can have it. Well, it never happened. They gave it someone else. Heaters didn't work. The waitstaff was pretty attentive considering we were alone outside for a while. I thought they would forget about us but they didn't. When we needed another pitcher, they were there pretty quickly. The thin pepperoni pizza tasted good. My son loved the wings. Calzone was kind of meh. I think we were just starving. Amazing how much prices have gone up at restaurants. Still getting used to it.

Love Love Loveeeeee D'Auostino's Pizza! It is definitely on my top 3 list. I always get takeout, but I happen to be over near Wrigleyville and stopped inside didn't realizing it was D'Augustino's pizza. What a pleasant surprise, had a few drinks, and the bartender was amazing. Super nice and easy to talk to. I can tell there were a lot of regulars, and a few birthday parties going on in a separate room. I definitely recommend! I have tried most of their menu and I usually get a nice Delux that I customize. Great garlic bread, Italian Beef sandwiches and well... you get it. Love the crust and the amount of sauce is perfect Bon Appetite!!

They have a family night deal every Wednesday for a large one topping pizza for half price - can't beat that. The menu is very extensive, they have almost anything you can think of. We got a sausage pizza and tater tots. Both were very good!

I came in on a Monday night after running some errands. It wasn't busy at all yet (early) so I sat at the bar. The bartender was great! He made a few food recommendations and was just the right amount of attentive to everyone at the bar and at some of the tables. I ordered the smoked turkey wrap. It was great! I would get it again. Especially with tots and a side of ranch...that was a solid meal. I also appreciate its proximity to other Southport Corridor businesses, Wrigleyville, and the Southport Brown Line stop. Looking forward to trying more menu items in the future.

This is a pretty standard pizzeria somewhere not far from Wrigley's Field. The specialty here is thin crust but their deep dish is pretty good too (the mozzarella was gooey greatness); the Greek salad is very good too and the service was top notch. Would come here again.

D'ags is a solid choice for a quick bite after a Cubs game. We each got a personal size thin crust and split a salad entree which was more than enough food for 3 people. Service was attentive and we got our food fairly quickly. I love their thin crust and usually grab a slice to go whenever I'm in the area (slices to go are available in a separate entrance on Addison. Lovely neighborhood joint with plenty of space for larger groups!

How supremely pathetic that you must stop going to places where you like the food because the service is so abysmal. Such is the case with this location of D'Agostino's. Self-absorbed staff that doesn't ask if you want to eat and has a long convo with a staff member before making your drink. Salad that is probably not even ordered - heard a worker ask him that - and that never arrived. Order take out from this location!

Excellent Chicago-style thin crust pizza (I recommend the sausage -- Chicago is the only place in the U.S. that does sausage pizza right.) Pizza could've used a bit more sauce, but otherwise was perfect. Very friendly and efficient server, too. And not expensive! Maybe it isn't a destination restaurant, but if you're in the area (or delivery radius) it's highly recommended.

Came in before a game to grab a bite to eat. Wasn't too busy at the time. I chose this place because it's walking distance to the ballpark and fairly reasonably priced compared to other places in the area. Now I'll start off by saying that every single employee I encountered, they were all very nice people. No complaints there. The hostess sat me at a table in the bar. It took a while for my server to come to my table. But by the time they did, I had enough time to figure out what I wanted. Got something to drink. Comes with refills. For my appetizer I tried the pizza bread. It took a while to come out. But when it did, it was really good, enjoyed every bite. Also ordered a stuffed pizza. Knew that would take a while, stuffed pizza always does. When it got to my table, I couldn't wait to take a bite. When I did, I was a bit disappointed. The taste of garlic was so strong on there. Didn't order garlic with it, and didn't see anything about garlic naturally coming on it. Normally I like a bit of garlic, but this was way too much. Not sure if it was mixed into the sauce, or if it was just something they always add. It took away from the flavor of the pizza itself. I was still able to eat until I was full. When I was done eating, it took a little bit to get the server so I could get my leftovers boxed up. Asked for one last refill on my drink and a box for my food. Got the box but no drink. Got my food boxed up and ready to go, then after a few minutes, asked for my check and again for a refill on my drink. Got them both a couple minutes later. Paid my bill, left a decent tip, and went on about my day. Seems like a few regulars stopped in for drinks, and overall seemed like a good place to go relax and have a few cold ones. Sports on the TV's, everyone was nice to everyone, looks like my kind of place for beers and sports. So while the people were nice, the service was a bit slow (and I'm not referring to the time it took the pizza to be cooked), and again, way too much garlic on the pizza. I was a bit disappointed in that. If I went back, I'd probably try another dish as opposed to pizza. The stuff on the menu looks good, next time I think I'll just try something different.

Such good food and a great atmosphere! I got the bosco sticks, Italian grinder, and onion rings. The onion rings were so so good! my friend got a salad and it looked so good and a great portion size so I would love to try that next time. Our serve Cole was also so great and helpful! I will def be back!

Great for delivery. The food is always correct, warm and really yummy when we get it. The chicken tenders hit the spot when I have a hankering for hot wings!!

I visited this location. Nelson Martinez cook was rude and drunk. He had a beer in his hand. Was rude to my family and I. This supposed to be a family restaurant. Smelled like weed. They should drug text their employees. No place to take your family to eat.

Haven't ordered from here in years, now I remember why. Sugary sauce, chewy crust, stingy with the sausage, pepperoni just thrown on (missing a couple pieces entirely) and I guess that's "extra" cheese. At least the delivery came earlier than they projected and the pizza was hot. Still, too many other good places nearby to ever bother with "Dags" again.

The food is so good and the servers are so friendly! Plus - they let you watch the Buckeyes! I got the Buffalo chicken wrap and it was so good!!

Dags was a fun visit! This was our 3rd establishment on our progressive patio cocktail and app adventure! We had just eaten at our last place, so this was a visit strictly for a cocktail. We asked the hostess if we could have a patio table and she brought us outside to one right away. We looked at the cocktail menu and we were ready to order when our server came to our table. Sitting on the patio was super fun and relaxing! When our cocktails came out, they looked so colorful and I could not wait to taste mine. It was a hot afternoon and so drinking something refreshing was much needed. Our server made sure to check in on us a few times and brought us our check when we were ready to go. This was a quick visit to Dags, but the service was good. The drinks were tasty and the atmosphere was fun!

Service was terrible. Matthew was the bartender and apparently was covering, not covering,the floor. Drinks were ordered and had to be reordered because they didn't arrive after a 10+ minute wait. Food was ordered. Pizza to be specific. Which apparently they have moved on to a communal style of eating right off the pizza pan because no plates or napkins were brought over. If you are thirsty then hydrate before you come. Water refills were nonexistent.

very decent wrigleyville delivery, the more toppings you order to counter-act the too-sweet-for-me sauce the better off you'll be. always order weds 1/2 price special at least 45 minutes before cubs game is going to end. good game-day specials and AWESUM salads

Every visit to Chicago is incomplete without indulging in the incredible thin crust pizza at Dag's. The crust is irresistibly perfect, the sauce strikes an amazing balance of sweet and tangy, very fresh, and the cheese is just right. It's a flavor that keeps pulling me back! Great people, awesome service, and excellent location close to Wrigleyfield.

My low rating is related to the additional charges that Dag's has been adding to their orders recently! At first you might look past a dollar here or a dollar there - oh well. This time I really looked at the receipt and discovered the following; they now charge an ONLINE DEL surcharge of a $1.50 for this order. I thought ordering on line is the lowest cost to serve transaction for the business?? I noticed this charge as well when I placed an order on-line and then picked it up myself, what?? Of course, the infamous CC surcharge! On this order $1.46. These two transactions alone added 8% additional cost to my $38.10 delivery, which with tip landed on my CC at $56.01 . These guys are reaching the point where the additional charges section is longer than the order section of the receipt. This isn't price transparency this is a margin grab at the consumers expense. Buyer beware.

I've ordered from here, off and on, since I moved to Chicago back in the late-0's. Delivery usually takes an hour and thus some of the freshness of the food can be lost. Never dined in. The winners for me are the sandwiches. The grinders are full of flavor (grease) and always a hit. The burgers are similarly good, the paninis are really good, the apps are mostly really good. I like that the sandwiches come with a choice of side. Their pizzas for me are really average. I say that being an East-coaster originally, so the Chicago thin crust and deep dish has never really done it for me. The stuffed from here is more or less like most other establishments, in my opinion. The calzone is enormous and could easily feed two people, but the ingredients inside weren't good. Onions are raw, and the spinach seemed canned. Four stars because though it is not a regular place for me, the sandwiches usually hit the mark. It seems like they made a decision recently to be more eco-friendly and have finally done away with the styrofoam containers, plastic bags, and plasticware.

Glad to see that not much has changed with their pizza over the years. Ordered a Dag's special stuffed pie and a cheese thin crust and both were great. The stuffed pie came out cooked just right and the thin crust had a couple crispy pieces which I enjoyed. Somewhat understand the low yelp rating as even this evening ran into a couple employees who seemed confused about their positions, but the food is a solid 4 and sometimes 5 star rating based on what you get.

We've always had pretty good experiences with D'ags. It's a reliable neighborhood joint. Thee place is huge with 2 main dining spaces indoors, a downstairs area for private events, and patio seating along both Southport and Addison. Because it's so big, it almost always has seating available, making it the easy choice when the rest of Southport Corridor can have 1hr+ waits on weekend nights. Another pro: the patio is dog friendly, and they actually have a menu just for your furry friends! Definitely a popular spot for those in the neighborhood to bring their pup and sit on the patio. Our servers are typically friendly and attentive. Pizza is definitely the way to go at D'ags. We'll occasionally switch it up. On this visit we ordered the jalapeno poppers and mostaccioli in addition to the pizza. Yes, we put ourselves into a carb coma with this one! My go to pizza is thin crust with hamburger and green peppers. It's cheesy, crispy, deliciousness. When ordered for dine in, the thin crust 'za is cut into squares. But you can also order by the slice at a separate walk up spot on Addison where you can grab a slice of pizza for a few bucks- perfect for an easy dinner or late night bite. D'ags, thanks for always being a reliable spot for those of us in the Southport Corridor neighborhood!

Bad pizza, some of the worst in town, and generally mediocre food, in a faded, lackadaisical atmosphere. But the victuals and ambience are great compared with the service, which can be sarcastic and just plain nasty. The last time I was there, I got into a long, absurd argument with the server about the need for an extra spoon -- it was like a comedy sketch. And when I paid the check, in cash, the change returned to me had paper bills but no coins, so I was about 35 cents short. When I asked about this, the server said in a high-handed way that the restaurant "rounded," as a matter of policy ... but that if I REALLY WANTED IT, she could dig up the coins ... somehow. I said that yes, I really did want correct change, and that if the place had such a policy, it might be a good idea to tell customers about it. What I should have said, but did not, is that there is a technical term for this kind of practice on the part of business establishments: "theft."

D'Ags never disappoints. Good drinks & grub every time. I've been there. A great pre & post Cub game spot.

Just had a late lunch. Food is great but very overpriced. We had 2 pitchers of Blue Moon. Was shocked to see that they charged $30 per pitcher. The tab for two salads and a large thin crust pizza was $137.00. The place is mostly empty. Wonder why?

My happy place for thinner tavern style pizza! Salads and soups are good too. This location is the best, though the Niles location is great too and has a parking lot, whereas Wrigleyville is street parking (pay to park). Service has always been good too.

Dags is such a great establishment. Whether you're stopping by for a slice or sitting down for a meal with your friends, there are a lot of delicious choices. Last year they renovated the interior and exterior adding more outdoor seating. While this review is coming from the comfort of my couch during quarantine, I feel confident that Dags has remained clean and still producing quality food. The pictures attached were from delivery which was quick, easy, and still delicious. Looking forward to dining in again once restaurants reopen!

Came in last night without a reservation, it was just 2 of us. Host looked at us several times and ignored us before someone else came over asking if we've been helped. Asked for a table. The host immediately jumped in and said "we're not seating for the rest of the night unless you have a reservation". I then asked to make a reservation and was told they were booked for the rest of the night. I said "you close at 11pm, it's currently 6:00, so you're telling me that in the next 5 hours all of your reservations are going to show up?" "That's exactly what I'm saying" the host said. Asked if I could use their restroom before I left, on my way to the bathroom counted about 6 empty tables and more empty tables outside. If they were as busy as the host claimed wouldn't more tables have been full? Wouldn't people have been waiting for their table? Not sure what the hosts problem was but this isn't how you treat people.

Came here on a Wednesday afternoon and there weren't too many people but the service was still incredibly slow. The server never even asked if we wanted anything to drink and he also forgot to check on us the entire time we were there. The food menu is pretty extensive but nothing I've ordered here has been noteworthy. This last time we tried the chicken and Turkey wraps, and couldn't finish them because honestly they just weren't worth the calories. Three stars because the environment is pretty neat and the French fries are great; prices are also reasonable for the area, but there are so many better options for dining.

Absolute legit pizza slices! My wife and I went here first in 2016 after a Cubs playoff game and we've loved it ever since. They cook it perfectly, but as I've said in numerous reviews, it's the sauce that makes or breaks these places. And their sauce is really good. Nice chunks of tomatoes, and a hint of garlic. I'm not always crazy about the drive, but I'm never disappointed.

One of my favorite neighborhood spots! It is a classic pizza joint--I love the thin crust style. They have so many apps as well, and pasta if that's your jam! They have a variety of drinks as well. The service can definitely be iffy, but it won't stop me from coming back. I do love stopping to pick up a slice as well from their to-go side-- the best!

If I could leave 0 I would. We were playing cards and having fun until there was a situation where someone in our party fell over a chair. As soon as that happened we were looked at as outcasts and cut off from the bar. I love the pizza and atmosphere about this place but they need to keep their customers in mind. Try investing in some heavier chairs and a better waitstaff.

this place sucks they told me there was no egg in pizza then I ate in and had an allergy reaction. WHO MAKES PIZZA WITH EGGS. This place should be closed down as there pizza isn't even good and they tried to poison me.
