"Queues stretch down the street thanks to the pan-fried pork buns which are cooked to perfection, with a crisp base and a juicy filling. Besides the buns, you can find mini wontons and Shaobing with a meat filling. The original shop opened here in 1932; it moved, subsequently returned to the same street, and now has several other shops scattered across Shanghai. You can also buy uncooked dim sum to take home." - Michelin Inspector
Tried a variety of stuff on their menu, the fatty pork noodles with egg, beef noodles, but the fried buns are the highlight! Meat fillings with soup that requires a technique to eat or the contents would splutter.

The location on googles maps is wrong. Keep walking up the street for another two blocks and you’ll see all the Michelin signage (see pics). The pan fried dumplings were ok. There are better ones that our walking tour guide took us to off of Nanjing road pedestrian street.

I went on reccomendation to try the Shengjian Bao. They were tasty, though very little soup inside, and heavy dough. Glad I went, had better elsewhere in Shanghai. Also note, location is not correct on Google Maps. Look for street number 136 towards Naning Road a few blocks.

Service was typical Shanghai restaurant. The dumpling was one of the best in town. Also the pork chop bun was very worth it

GOOGLE LOCATION IS WRONG. If you somehow end up at the wrong location as directed by Google, then face the road and turn right. Walk up for about 5 minutes and you’ll come across the right location. Alternatively, try using Apple Maps, which shows the correct location.

Dahuchun can be found in many parts of Shanghai. This branch seems to be quite popular. Food is ok and very affordable here. The fried 生煎包 are better than the prawn dumpling soup. Staff could be a little friendlier though.

Their pan fried dumpling is very good! I get why the locals order 8/16pcs at one go. We happened to order their fish head soup which is very good too
