Natomas’ lively AYCE destination from the local team behind Station 16 and Firehouse Crawfish. Expect brisk turnover, a full bar, and convivial grills. Its opening and ownership roots were covered by the Sacramento Bee.

Let me start by saying, we LOVE this place! We'll definitely be coming back, and this just might become our go-to spot whenever we're in Sacramento! The restaurant itself is spacious, spotless, and stylish. We loved both our host and our server. Our host was full of energy and gave us amazing suggestions, while our server was super friendly and attentive the whole time. ow to the food, we chose the Supreme AYCE, and it was beyond our expectations! The variety of dishes was incredible. There are so many appetizers to pick from with no limits, and the meats were marinated perfectly. We enjoyed every single one. Some highlights for us were the rib fingers, marinated prime steak, and pork belly. Our server also suggested mixing ramen with the seafood stew, and it was absolutely delicious. All the seafood was fresh and flavorful, nothing disappointed us. And to top it off, the ice cream was the bomb! We tried the vanilla this time, but can't wait to try more flavors on our next visit. Definitely returning!

My family and a couple of people out of town went to Daikon Korean BBQ and we had a blast!!! The service was spectacular and the running servers were great and brought us our meats on time. The waitress was great and she kept on coming by and asking us for more orders… we kept on ordering and come to a realization that there was too much food and how are we going to eat it all. The sides and the appetizers were great. Overall, the atmosphere was great and the mood was happy. Go visit and do your cook out there.

My go to spot in Sacramento, The food is great and the service is amazing. I would try the Beef Bulgolgi and La Galbi! Would definitely recommend!

Appetizers such as kimchi jigae , elote, were so good. Sides and sauces good too. Meat is tender and seasoned well. Overall very satisfying meal

Charged $59 for a Health Hazard — Sharp Wire in Food, Filthy Equipment, and rude staff This was not just a bad meal—it was a serious safety risk wrapped in rude service and poor hygiene. Upon arriving at Daikon Korean BBQ (North Sacramento), I was greeted by no one. No manager, no staff—just shoved onto a waitlist with a cold attitude. First, I was told it would be a 20-minute wait, then told my table was ready via text, only to be told again it would be another 10–15 minutes. The online waitlist system then kicked me off altogether. Total mess. Once seated, the only way to keep the server’s attention was through constant eye contact. Service was inattentive and robotic (literally—they use robots to drop off food, but don’t train the humans to follow through). But the real issue? I found sharp metal wire embedded in the food—specifically, coming from the BBQ grate they supplied to go over the flame. These weren’t stray hairs—these were thin strands from steel wool, used for scrubbing. If swallowed, they could cause internal bleeding or death. This is not a joke. It is a serious health code violation. Their response? A casual offer of $5 off the bill. When I pushed for management, they bumped it to $12 off. Still, I was charged $59 for a meal that could have put me in the hospital. To make it worse: • The water pitcher they served us had dirt on the side. • There is no sauce bar like other KBBQ or hot pot spots. • Portions were tiny—not remotely worth the price. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry, as a manager I can confidently say this meal should have been comped entirely, with a formal apology and offer to make it right. Instead, they acted like I was a bother. I will be filing a formal Complaint to the health department as the stack of grates was consistently used even after my complaint Do not eat here. This isn’t just bad service—it’s an active health threat.

The food is really good and I was surprised by the number of selections on their menu. The only reason I couldn’t give 5 stars was because of the service. My server was often disengaged even when directly speaking with me. It was like his thoughts were at another table. For example “what would you guys like” and “is there anything else I could get you guys” and it was just me, one person. All in all I had a good time and I will probably be back.

We came here tonight for my birthday. This was my first experience with Korean barbecue. The wait to get our table for six was reasonable. They accommodated us nicely with a double grill table since one of the party members has a shellfish allergy. Food was really good and the service was outstanding. I'm excited to come back. Favorite dishes were the garlic noodles, fried calamari and the Hawaiian steak. The steak just melted in your mouth.

Google
Would recommend making a reservation prior to coming. We went on a Thursday night hoping it wouldn't be super packed but we had to wait 30+ minutes before getting seated. The food was decent. occasionally the cat robot machine would deliver food to your table, but most of the time the servers would deliver to your table.

Yelp
Amazing food. Rib Fingers are delicious! Make sure to order the supreme to get all the extra mouth watering sides

Yelp
I came here when they had the Firehouse pop-up and it was really cool. One thing to know is that if you come for that, make sure to tell them right when you walk in because they have two different seating areas. At first we sat in the Korean barbecue section, which looked really nice, super clean, and spacious. The service came right away, which is how we found out we were actually on the wrong side. When we moved to the Firehouse section, they already had their menu propped up on the table just like the Korean BBQ side and they had the same drink options too. Service was quick, friendly, and super attentive. We ordered the combo that came with shrimp, mussels, crab, and corn. Everything was a pound each and it definitely filled us up. We got the combination flavor that mixes all the seasonings and chose the hot spicy level. The seasoning was really good and full of flavor, and they also gave us salt, pepper, and lemons on the side. I also added potatoes to the combo, which was an additional three dollars and also got a side of rice. I did have to remind them about my rice & hot sauce that I had asked for, but that gave us the opportunity to order their garlic fries as well which were full of flavor! And even though they did forget a few things, they constantly checked up on us, which I really appreciated since I didn't have to wait around when something did come up! Overall, I had a really good experience here. The only thing to keep in mind is that parking isn't right in front of the restaurant. It's in a big lot a little bit down the strip, but it's not too far of a walk. I definitely want to come back next time to try their Korean barbecue section because it looked so good.

Yelp
My sisters and I came here for my sister's birthday! This was my second time coming here! Let me say this place has such a unique vibe! The wait is very long about an hour wait but there's a bar to hang out and chill while you wait. At the bar we ordered lemons drop: love the tart taste! white linen: the hint of elderflower as magnificent A mojito: mint is just so refreshing First advice wear loose clothing cause for $40 of all you can eat Korean BBQ you are going to eat ALOT! There are two ways of eating premium AYCE and Supreme AYCE we went with the premium. Each meal cones with variety of toppings already at the table like pickled onions spicy cumbers and kimchi. You start with 3 appetizers 3 proteins and 3 sides for the table and as you cook and finish each round you can order more. You have two hours for the all you can eat ie AYCE! Hence wear loose clothing lol! Everything was great and here's what was ordered over and over again multiple times!: Cheesy corn: sweat and cheese delicious goodness Lemon pepper wings: perfect blend of lemon taste. Salt and pepper wings: can't go wrong with wings! Spicy ramen: yes it's spicy but would have like a bowl with it cause this was shareable but we could drink the actual soup just ate the noodles. For protein we order Chicken Shrimp Bulgogi thin cut marinated ribeye: oh my god number one protein option! So delicious! Hawaiian marinated steak: the most delicious protein!! Boneless short ribs For sides we ordered Rice Assorted vegetables Zucchini Rude paper Side salad You can change items each round!! I believe we did 4 rounds in less than two hours! You can't go wrong with this place! Everything was so delicious and it was so much fun cooking the meats together and serving each other. It's a family fun dinner place! The kids would enjoy the experience! Lastly I would like to shout out our waiter who had the patience of saint dealing with our large group and guiding us on how to fully enjoy our experience. I don't recall his name but he was a tall young Asian guy! He really made our experience enjoyable!

Yelp
Very solid KBBQ in Natomas! Love that we have this great option so close to home. I think everyone's been to korean bbq before so I'd say this place is pretty standard. The two main standouts were the fish and chips and the rib fingers! Holy cow, I was not expecting cornmeal dusted catfish! I LOVED IT. And the rib fingers were on the premium menu but so worth it! We ordered a couple round of those. Food: 4.8 Service: 4.5 Ambiance: 4 Marcels foodie score: 4.4

Yelp
Wow I thought I already made a review here. I forgot to write one. I was invited by family to have dinner here. It was the typical Korean BBQ with the grill, side dishes and more. What's good about this restaurant is that there is a lot of air circulation. You dont leave the place with smokey smelling clothes. They had the All You Can Eat options of meats and other sides and appetizers. We always got their short ribs and bulgogi. The seafood options are also good. I do recall that we had ice cream that went with our meal. There was also a robot that drops off your food at the side. You have to go get it yourself off the robot. It's basically a robot that shaped like a cart. The restaurant is very clean, the workers are friendly and the experience was great! It's a great place to hang out with friends and family!

Yelp
First time trying Daikon-went on a Saturday night and we got seated quickly. We got the 33.99/pp menu and the Galbi and boneless short ribs were our favorites! Good quality of meat-similar to Oz, but better than Ember and Bultta. Fast service with the robots delivering the orders. Would stop by again if we're in the area.

Yelp
I haven't been to this location since it first opened, but I was in the area and decided to stop by for an early dinner on Friday around 4pm. The restaurant has high ceilings, plenty of space between booths and tables, and a bar off to the side. There was no wait, and I was actually greeted by a familiar face, with someone I used to work with. We were seated right away, and Aaron took care of us throughout the meal. The booths are roomy and clean, and I liked that the menus are set up in wooden stands so you can look through them easily. We went with the premium AYCE for $33.99 each. Aaron was really attentive, he made sure our meats were refilled quickly and checked in often. I always ask for salt, pepper, and lemon for dipping my meats, and I appreciated that they weren't stingy with the lemon. They gave me a full bowl of thick wedges, which was perfect. Food wise, the beef belly was delicious, the salt & pepper wings were super crispy and juicy with just the right seasoning, and the japchae was tasty with a good portion size. The banchan selection wasn't as varied or flavorful compared to other spots, and I wish they had vinegar as an option. On the plus side, their smoke ventilation works really well! you can pull it close to the grill, so you don't walk out smelling like BBQ. Overall, it's a solid spot if you're in the area and craving K-BBQ.

Yelp
I've been to Daikon Korean BBQ twice now -- once with a friend and another time with a party of six -- and both experiences were overall great! Customer service here is consistently good. We booked a reservation both times and were seated quickly upon arrival, which I always appreciate. The restaurant itself has a nice, modern-classic vibe with plenty of tables, so it feels clean and welcoming. Like many KBBQ spots, you choose 3 meats and 3 appetizers per grill, and of course, you get to cook everything yourself. They have two different AYCE menu options, but I highly recommend the Premium option -- way more bang for your buck. The pork belly and scallops in particular are delicious, and I also really enjoyed the rib fingers. For sides, the corn cheese/elote is a must-try! The soups are just okay, but they give you plenty of beef options for meats to make up for it. They also have robot servers that bring out the meats, while human servers handle orders and check-ins. For the most part, service was attentive, though on my second visit I did have to ask for kimchi three separate times before it finally made it to the table. Not a dealbreaker, but something to note if you come when it's busy. On Mondays, Happy Hour runs all day, which is a nice perk for drinks. I had their frozen Mangonada (not on the Happy Hour menu) on my first visit and it was amazing, but the second time it didn't hit quite the same. Thankfully, the server was really kind and explained it was made a certain way from the slushy machine, and they let me switch to a sake bomb instead (I paid for the Happy Hour price for the sake bomb) -- honesty and flexibility like that goes a long way. Do keep in mind there's a 2-hour dining limit. They stop taking orders once your time is up, but they do give you a heads-up, and everyone gets one complimentary ice cream to finish off the meal. Overall, Daikon is a solid KBBQ spot with good variety, tasty marinades, and friendly service. Definitely worth checking out -- I would come back again, though probably not too often since I don't live nearby.

Yelp
I've only tried two other kbbq spots, so for now Daikon is my favorite. Spacious restaurant, nice ambiance. Great service with friendly and attentive staff. And the food is delicious with lots of options to choose from. Need extra protein in your diet? Daikon is your spot.

Yelp
Daikon is a staple in this house! We've been coming here for years and it's been so consistent, delicious, and fresh. We usually pop in after a hard workout or after a long morning of kayaking (we earn that meal!). We come hungry and leave so satisfied. The overall Korean BBQ experience is amazing. Our servers have usually been attentive and quick. Also, they now have a robot server? It's so cool! It'll whoosh by, drop off your food, and keep on going. Highly recommend going for the Supreme AYCE. The appetizers and protein selections are superb. Those Korean hot wings? Bomb. Go for the garlic butter prawns (deveined but shell on) and those rib fingers! If you go for the Premium AYCE, the beef belly and LA galbi are also chef's kiss. If you're newer to the AYCE game, take your time and know that beef is more forgiving than chicken. Keep the banchan flowing and pace yourself! You're in for a treat!

Yelp
What an incredible experience! This is how all KBBQ spots should be run. Extremely friendly and responsive waitstaff, food that comes out immediately after you order and high quality meats and sides at an extremely low price for all you can eat. Top it off that they also have ramen and dessert included! This spot really can't be beat and I'll certainly be back again when I'm in town.

Yelp
Well, it's July, so that means at least one birthday each week!! So my son is turning 20 and he wanted some AYCE Korean BBQ. This is not our first time here. This is a fun and exciting culinary adventure where you can try a lot of new and tasty dishes. If you have never tried KBBQ I would highly recommend it. Fun for kids and adults too! Not really cheap, but it's worth the experience. DO IT!!

Yelp
Food was good and service was good! There was no wait and the staff seated us immediately. The steamed egg was really good. The soda was refillable. Fries were fresh and crispy. The cheese corn and elote corn was not good. Corn did not taste fresh it was chewy and plastic-y. Radishes were good. Free parking in the shared plaza lot. The staff was attentive. Food was brought out by a cat robot and by the staff. Lots of tables available. There was a cake cutting fee if you brought a cake.

Yelp
My husband and I came here on a Sunday afternoon. We were very impressed. The ambiance was perfect for our chill vibe. The food is reasonable priced. The server brings out the raw meat and veggies for you to cook on the grill. They provide you with seasonings for you to add before you cook it. Great place for date night or even a family outing. The service was good, too. We were impressed by the server robot!

Yelp
Came here with 17 people, 9 kids. For such a big group, everything was pretty smooth. Our server Heidi served us like a pro. She was on it...taking multiple orders with 2 separate tables, changing our grills multiple times without ever leaving us alone for too long. She always checked up on us constantly. The food was good. The menu had a lot of items and meat quality was good. We ate a lot and actually had a really great time here with our friends. They have a full bar with great drinks. Will come back again.

Yelp
Second time here! But first time reviewing this restaurant. Last time I was here was back in like 2022?? I dont think I was writing reviews yet at the time. Anyways. Here I am! Absolutely love this place. Love the interior design as well as the menu options and the lil robot friend that helps serve some of your meats. We went on a Monday evening and we waited for about 45 minutes which was not bad. We just walked around and explored. Anyways we get seated and we got the premium AYCE. We got thick cut pork belly, garlic soy pork belly thin cut, beef brisket, and boneless short ribs. Along with that we ordered lemon pepper wings and egg souffle for appetizers, and rice paper, salad, and japchae for sides and then salt/sesame oil for our sauce! Everything was delicious and we had such a fun night.

Yelp
One of my all time favorite Korean bbq spots. Every time I've gone here, it's been a great experience. I came here on a Saturday around 5pm and it was about a 45 min wait time. We went to the bar area to grab a drink while we waited. Once we got sat down, we started to order immediately. We got the supreme AYCE. Started off with appetizers and got the seasoned fries, kimchi soup, lemon pepper wings and ramen. The kimchi soup was disappointing and the wings + ramen were the delicious. We ordered the crispy calamari, garlic noodles and seafood soup later on. The calamari and garlic noodles were solid but the seafood soup wasn't good. Super disappointing in both soup but I'm here for the bbq. For the meat, we got beef belly, top blade steak and LA galbi to start off. Also, got butter on the side. The meat was so delicious! The next round, we got rib fingers, prime steak and beef belly. You can tell the quality of the meat. It was so good! For the sauce, we got sesame oil/salt and gochujang. Our server was amazing! She was attentive and helpful throughout our whole time there. The vibe of the restaurant was nice and it was pretty packed. Overall, a great time here. Can't wait for the next time. Thank you so much Daikon!

Yelp
Another great place to dine or lunch date get away. The portions are so large. You better skip a few meals in the day before comming here. The customer service is so amazing. They checked on us so many times and wanted us to order more meals. We could only handle one round. I wish we could take some of the food home with us. Seems like such a waste to throw this away after we cooked it. Totally will come back during lunch

Yelp
Daikon is my most-frequented KBBQ location in the Sacramento area. I usually eat during lunch when the AYCE is slightly cheaper, and I've even dined by myself several times. Though the menu is a little limited, I really appreciate the quality of the food. From the appetizer menu, I really love the lemon pepper chicken wings, sesame balls, and the cheese corn. I love the marinated boneless galbi and and bulgogi beef (I know I'm pretty basic) and appreciate that the lettuce wraps are included in the AYCE. The banchan is always fresh and diverse, and I especially love the pickled daikon which I eat with everything. Tonight I had dinner for the first time. Despite the restaurant being pretty busy, we were seated quickly, though there was some sauce on my bench seat that I needed to clean off. Besides the seats, the grill, table, and utensils were all very clean, though I wish the scissors were sharper. Service during dinner was pretty slow. For the first time ever--at any KBBQ restaurant--we sat in between rounds with nothing on the table but our drinks. But we weren't rushed out despite hitting up against the 2 hour limit, so we left very full. I took advantage of the 2 for 1 soju and took one home with me--I really appreciate that they bring them sealed so you can do that AND I can show off my soju tricks. Daikon is the most convenient and affordable KBBQ location for me, so even though it's not perfect, I will happily go back again and again...but maybe I'll stick to lunch.

Yelp
I'm going to tip the scales and just go with a full 5 star review for this place. My dining experience here was fabulous and as a Korean-American myself -- they made me feel right at home. From the swift service of bringing you banchan refills, changing grills, asking if you'd like more meat, asking if you'd like to order anything else on the menu, and refilling water/soda; Daikin won my business and let me explain why. 1. Their service is phenomenal. Behind the curtains of Daikon, there has to be a KBBQ King or Queen who really knows how to run the business well. It shows and reflects in the staff. They know what they are doing and it's felt by the customers! I almost felt like I was in an all Korean restaurant led by native Korean people. Fantastic job to all the staff!! 박수!! [Clap clap] 2. Their food tastes good. Kimchi jjigae was flavorful, banchan tastes right, and the meat quality is surprisingly good and way above average. No complaints from me whatsoever in the food department. They passed the brisket and non marinated short rib test. The two benchmark meats that will dictate how the rest of their beef/meat selection will taste. Life hack for non-koreans. 3. Restaurant ambience and decor deserves an A+. Authentically Korean aesthetic and the vibe is perfect when gorging on some AYCE KBBQ. Ohh and the waiting Robots from Asia have officially made their way to the US! 4. The waitlist on a Sunday evening was about 30+ mins and they served us super quick even after a long wait. 5. Oh, did I mention how great their service is??? I think I did.

Yelp
All time favorite KBBQ spot. Beef belly and brisket are my favorite. I love that they have garlic and jalapeños. The sauces are good also. Most of the sides are tasty too. My preferred place to go is Daikon since it's always on point. Parking is huge and pricing is regular for AYCE.

Yelp
The restaurant is large and very nicely decorated. There were a lot of people on a Tuesday night but we got seated in about 15 minutes. The server was excellent. He kept checking in on us. He gave us soda refills constantly. The food here is really good. There are 2 tiers: PREMIUM AYCE ($34 dinner) and SUPREME AYCE ($40 dinner). The price difference is only $7 between the 2 options. The Supreme has a lot more appetizers and proteins to choose from. I recommend that option. The food was very good. The marinated beef cuts were great. I usually only get beef over pork and chicken. Pork and chicken takes too long to cook. I ain't got time to check if it's thoroughly cooked either haha. Some food items never came out. They have a robot that brings out some meats and I think other customers accidentally took them from the robot. We had to re-order the missing items. I'll be coming back whenever I crave KBBQ.

Yelp
This review is for firehouse crawfish which is part of the daikon restaurant. Food: shrimp cajun is always hit the spot!! Garlic noodle a lil bit overcooked but still taste good. Service: is alright! Nothing special. Ambiance: pretty chill place. I definitely will be back for another cajun seafood boil. !!

Yelp
We came on a Wednesday afternoon around 3:30 pm. Most of the tables were filled since they open at 3 on the earlier weekdays. We were originally seated by the back, but the staff put us under directly into the sunlight. Luckily, we were able to move seats. The food here was decent. I really enjoyed the beef belly and the pork belly! They were very swift about bringing our food, but towards the end, they kind of forgot about us and we waited a while for our last round's items.

Yelp
This place is definitely spacious and modern. Workers are friendly, and the service was great. They even have robot servers. The food didn't take too long to come out either. The meat here is pretty good quality. The salt and pepper fried chicken wings were not dry and were very tasty. The cheese corn and the side dishes were decent. I like how this place has the vents to take away the smoke. Definitely would come back here again if I was in the area.

Yelp
This is not my favorite Korean BBQ in Sacramento. I've never had a good experience here, which is why I haven't been back since 2022. The only reason I returned was because my family wanted to try it again for my birthday dinner, and unfortunately, it reminded me why I stopped coming. The service was absolutely horrible. Our waitress was the worst part of the entire experience. After she took our order, she completely disappeared for half an hour. We didn't even have cups for our water until we flagged down the hostess, who was seating another group nearby. In the 1.5 hours we were there, we saw our waitress maybe five times: once to take our initial order, once for our second round, once to bring the check, and the last time to let me spin the wheel and bring me the prize I won. That was it. For a birthday dinner my family was treating me to, I was so upset I honestly wanted to walk out, but I didn't because I didn't want to ruin the evening for them. To make things worse, we never even got her name. The receipt says Linh Da, but the waitress was Hispanic, so she may have been using someone else's login. Either way, the service was unacceptable. This was supposed to be a special celebration, and it turned into a frustrating experience instead. I will not be returning!

Yelp
The Christmas decorations added a fun holiday vibe to the already spacious and well-organized restaurant. There were plenty of tables, and we got there early to beat the dinner rush, so it wasn't crowded or loud at all. We also noticed they had a birthday game you could play for small prizes, though the prizes didn't seem very exciting. Our server was friendly and helpful. We went with the premium AYCE option since our group wasn't into seafood and wanted to save room for dessert. Compared to other KBBQ AYCE places, the menu here is smaller, but it still had some highlights: - Japchae: A standout! It was delicious, though you have to order it as a side since it's not included as a banchan. - Cheesy Corn: Unfortunately, this was overly sweet and didn't have much depth of flavor. - Fries: Fresh and crispy with a nice kick of spice. - No Extra Charges for Rice or Lettuce: This is a plus, as many other places charge extra for these basics. - Marinated Meats: Absolutely the highlight! Every marinated option we tried was flavorful, tender, and perfectly seasoned. The non-marinated meats, like brisket, weren't as impressive in comparison--definitely stick with the marinated options here.

Yelp
Everything needed a longer marinade but it was all good, other than the calamari which was blander than anything else. Really recommend the wings. Service was a bit hectic and our waiter forgot a couple things but we could have reminded him a couple more times and it would have been brought out.

Yelp
All time favorite Korean bbq spot in Sac! Everyone from the host, bar, server, runner, etc are rockstars. Heidi and Khoa always take great care of us, can anticipate our needs, and really great people to catch up with when we're dining. Linda, the manager is awesome too. We were celebrating a birthday here and she helped make our visit extra special! Will always come back for the brisket, beef belly, and chicken wings. Give it a try. You won't be sorry!

Yelp
Solid choice place for kbbq. I am giving this restaurant 4/5 because the side dishes are a little lacking in selection and flavor, but the meats were delicious. The fish cake was thin and did not produce a lot of flavor. The rice paper edges were hard unlike other Korean barbecue places where it is supposed to be soft. The best meat was the bone in galbi! The sauce was so flavorful! The brisket and thin, sliced pork belly was divine! I recommend trying it out. Staff were very nice. I liked how they used a machine to deliver some of their food. I do think they need more than just one could see the staff working very hard.

Yelp
I visited at 5:30 on a Tuesday evening. I would rate a solid 3.5 stars. They have this restaurant dual advertised as Daikon AND a Firehouse Crawfish "Pop-Up" restaurant, so please don't expect a full firehouse crawfish menu, or consistency in the food flavor. For example, the garlic noodles at this location are mediocre and they do not have the "rajun Cajun" sauce. I did not try anything off the Daikon menu. Aesthetically, this restaurant is very nice. Would not return for their firehouse crawfish pop up restaurant experience.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and got the pricier menu for AYCE kbbq. They still had us check in on their tablet to be seated. Didn't love or hate this place. You could go with the cheaper AYCE menu as it still has good cuts of meat. Service was good. The supreme menu level has ice cream for dessert at the end but it would've been nice if it was better quality ice cream from like Gunther's or something. I liked the banchan sides. I also like that they keep a printed menu at the table and you don't have to scan a QR code like many restaurants do now.

Yelp
The meats were marinated nicely and I appreciate the appetizer and side dish offerings. They changed out our grill pretty often (practically after every meat order). Our meats came out pretty fast, but the apps and sides took a little longer. Overall, service is good, comfortable interior, and great food!

Yelp
alr bro so i came back here for the first time in a minute and man i was kinda disappointed by the service. and btw, this place is my most favoritest kbbq jawn of all time fam. but this most recent experience tho?? ok so me and gangalang pulled up after watching that new demon slayer movie. oh but spoiler but also not a spoiler, the movie was hella backstory and couldn't been better. shi was like 3 hrs of backstory. ight apologies for the digression but i wanna preface by saying our server was a very nice gentlemen and was very hospitable. but like hear me out... we went like 5 rounds without having our empty plates cleared out n shi bro. like ts was all piled up in our shi man. blocking our range of elbow flexion bc the empty plates were all in the way man. ts genuinely pmo. and also the water refills were not there bro. like we were constantly parched bc they ain't refill the water till like 25 mins later man! and that was sad bc the water was good af! hella mineralized and tasty! oh and some of the meat they gave us was deadahh all fat bro. like look at the pic, shi was a slab of fat! ok but besides that negativity, the meat quality here is still very superbulous. better then any kbbq spot i've been to in sac. most the kbbq meats around the sac area suck buns but daikon got it right. but yeah. this is usually my fav place but after coming back here, service fell off or sum. or maybe j an off night. oh wait bruh and also... the soap dispenser in the mens bathroom was broken! (the left side one) so i had to reach over another bro over to the right, just to get my soap, while i was on the left side!!! du ma

Yelp
Review is for firehouse crawfish, which is apparently part of daikon restaurant. I had the breaded shrimp appetizer tonight and it made me sick. Either the shrimp or the tartar sauce was bad and had me ill the rest of the night. I've had drinks here a couple of times and they are nothing special, the bartenders so far have provided mediocre service, nothing to keep me coming back. I would have loved to try the seafood boil, but after getting sick tonight I don't think I'll return and chance it.

Yelp
Even though there was no one else waiting we still had to check in to their waiting list before we were seated. The grill was very bad. It was very uneven so we could only cook the meat well on one side of the grill. Seems like a consistent issue with all their grills because we heard some other tables complain to the waitstaff too. We paid extra for the premium menu for our Friday lunch, but it wasn't actually worth it in our opinion. You get a few more items but didn't really seem worth it to pay for that extra premium. For example one of the special items was the seafood soup, but it was just filled with cabbage and didn't really have a Korean flavor profile. Tasted simply like tomato broth.

Yelp
Pretty good. Attentive and friendly server, came around to inquire several times to see if we needed anything. Big restaurant so not as smoky as some of the other places I've been to (but you will still leave smelling like smoke). Prices comparable to other kbbq places. Would come back, meat was pretty good. Great for birthday parties and big gatherings.

Yelp
It's been a while since we've been here but the place is still just as busy even on a weeknight. Parking lot is usually full because of the multitude of businesses around here. Ambiance is your typical KBBQ place. I do like that they have a little waiting area with seating available. Text for waiting is available, which is always a plus that I appreciate. Food is fresh and refilled often. The service is great with waiters/waitresses always coming in to check on you. My only complaint is that multiple AYCE items that we ordered never arrived from the beginning all the way to the end. I also like that the menu is marked for Gluten Free choices, Non-marinated choices, one per round choices, and spicy choices. This was not our first time here and won't be our last.

Yelp
Not much to say except just that I was disappointed. Was initially excited to find a KBBQ spot while traveling for work, but Daikon had just ok-quality food for the same price you can find in many places. What threw me off the most was the service. We waited quite a while before we were served (just asked to sit for a long time) On top of that, there were multiple items we ordered that either never came at all or we had to ask multiple times. Personally won't be returning

Yelp
I visited Daikon Korean BBQ in Sacramento, CA on Wednesday, 6/5/24, around 7:30 PM for dinner. I opted for the Premium AYCE option. For the appetizers, I tried a side of rice, ramen, spicy ramen, egg soufflé and cheese corn. I loved the ramen dishes. The remaining appetizers were dissatisfying. The egg and cheese corn had an odd taste. I also received gummy rice, which was not pleasant to enjoy. For the meats, I ordered Brisket, Bulgogi, Spicy Bulgogi Pork Jowl, Thick Cut Pork Belly, and Boneless Short Ribs. They were all on point and tasted great. The customer service was friendly and somewhat attentive. The inside of the restaurant was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. Overall, my dining experience at Daikon Korean BBQ was decent at best.

Yelp
They don't take reservations but once you get there you can check in on their tablet. We waited about 15 minutes for a seat but there is a sitting area near the bathrooms. While I waited for a table, I took advantage of their happy hour since it was going to end at 6 PM. It was a buy one get another for 2$ for the Soju bottles so it was like $16 for both. We were sat and the table had the little plates of broccoli, macaroni, kimchi and other Korean sides. We were asked to order two appetizers, three meats and three veggie sides. They were very prompt in bringing the meats so started on the cooking. It was pretty cool to see the robot bring in the appetizers, since they came in after. Definitely order the cheese corn, lemon pepper wings, beef bulgogi, marinated beef ribs bone in, Hawaiian marinated beef. Those were my favorites. They may have been understaffed but if you don't get your order in when the server comes around, you have to wait until he comes back after finishing up his round. We were needing refills and it felt like forever.

Yelp
This is probably one of the better kbbq spots near my house. They also have the firehouse crawfish and seafood. The crawfish sauce they use for garlic butter is *chefs kiss. The best seafood boil sauce in Sacramento. The meats at this place is tender and flavorful. Love the appetizers and the lady who helped us was super nice. Inside, there's a lot of tables, and most are always filled with customers. Usually a wait time if you go during dinner time. We usually try to go earlier before there's a wait. Overall, I think this is one of the better kbbq spots in Sacramento. They are consistent, and I like that. Definitely will be back.

Yelp
Wildly a mixed bag. Ordered from the premium AYCE menu and out of the things that I tried, my fave was the boneless short ribs; fairly succulent and not heavy-handed on marinade sweetness. Appetizer-wise, the cheese corn was deliciously super buttery. Pleasantly surprised on the king oyster mushroom; sliced like meat and the salt and pepper on it went a long way. Wished more Korean BBQ places offered this. Also appreciated that there is a notable amount of non-marinated meats available. The thick pork belly, pork jowl, and top blade steak were all decently tender. Now for the bad. The bulgogi tasted way off; bland(!!) and the meat itself tasted old. The mung bean sprout side dish (sukjunamul-muchim) was strikingly really salty. The veggie banchan generally was below-average (on the not-fresh, mushy side). Understaffed. Infrequent server appearances (though he seemed a bit swamped). No offering of changing the grill plate at all and I had to turn off the grill myself after being done with cooking.

Yelp
Hmm.. never again. I believe in second chances but I don't know if I'd return to give Daikon a third chance. Coming from Elk Grove, this is not worth the drive. But if this is the closest KBBQ for you, it might suffice your cravings. We parked near BWW and walked a little bit to get to Daikon. The venue is also part Firehouse Crawfish, which is a sister restaurant (offering different food), it is smaller than its original and Delta Shores location and can be a reason to come back to this location. But for us.. we do not have plans to come back. This was not our first time and we decided to revisit in 2025 as it had been years since we last dined here. The place is really nice looking, there's a soju wall, modernly decorated, and the music isn't loud. The bathroom has really hot water (which I didn't mind but just a warning for those who don't expect HOT HOT water) but no paper towels, just Dyson air dryers. Our server was nice and did his job but I do not feel he went above and beyond for us. At the end of the day, we're all human and we forget things, and he would bring us what we asked for the second or third time we asked, and a couple things he flat out forgot. The chicken wings came out really fast but then things started to slow down. Japchae leaves a lot to be desired in terms of flavor - perhaps it needs more sauce when cooked. Kimchi is limp and too tart - signs it's not fresh and a bit 'old'. The meat is nothing extraordinary or super remarkable. The best item we had was the Hawaiian steak because it was the most tender. Recommend eating your meats while it's hot because once it gets cold, everything gets harder and less enjoyable to consume, even the cheese corn. We didn't order any alcoholic drinks and stuck to water. Also, I noticed as we were leaving, some tables were set up with more side dishes than we had. We arrived at 5pm - definitely dinner time - so I wonder what happened with our table? We walked away knowing it was our last dine in at Daikon. There are better KBBQ spots in Sac - take your taste buds elsewhere.

Yelp
When I first came to Daikon about 2 years ago it was my favorite kbbq spot. I'm not sure what happened but the quality and service has gone down significantly. I would say the meat is fine and appetizers are okay but there was a couple of things I wanted to mention which made our experience really bad. #1. The first red flag is the small portions. We had to order pickled radish probably 5+ times because every time there would only be 3-4 slices. At one point they gave us 2 slices. Same goes to meat... we ordered 3 orders of beef belly and only 2 of us can eat bc of how little there was. (we were a group of 5) #2. Server inattentive. Our server was training someone at the same time he was helping our table. I get how that can be difficult on the server but because of the small portion sizes we needed to reorder since not everyone was able to eat. Our waiter did not visit us for 20 mins. Even after trying to wave him down, we were ignored. Because we were waiting for so long we attempted to ask another server for help. She was helpful but we ended up getting the wrong meat even after clarifying twice. #3. Kimchi was soft and sour and old. Overall because of the experience, I don't think we will be back to the Sacramento location. We went on a Saturday so it might have been really busy and we were the unlucky group but I think there definitely could be some work on the service and portions.

Yelp
Decent KBBQ in Sacramento! The wait here usually is pretty long for big parties, so definitely get here early! Their KBBQ is solid, 2 menus, the premium and supreme. Premium has a lot of the staple cuts that are pretty bang for your buck such as LA Galbi, boneless short rib, and garlic pork belly. All the meats were great and my group actually got a lot of short rib pieces per order which was nice. You order 3 meats at a time and they come out relatively fast. Go for supreme if you're feeling a lil bougee haha. The sides (banchan) were lackluster. Kimchi is pretty fermented which is not to my liking. Not a lot of variety. The salt and pepper wings and corn cheese are appetizers you gotta get.

Yelp
The best KBBQ in Sac! Wait time is long and we waited for 1hr and 30 mins on a Friday night. Sadly, they don't do online waitlist, so we just walked around the plaza. Service is usually fast, but they were busy that day. Meat was tender and flavorful. The pork belly and beef brisket were our favorite. I also love the unlimited sides. The cheese corn was my favorite side out of all of them. I admit it could be a little pricey with about $40 per person with taxes and gratuity included. I'll definitely go back here!
