Went in at 3pm for some banh mi and they out of banh mi like???? Went for the banh cuon instead cuz i was starving. It was $10 for this, quality is just ok for the price, barely any meat in between the rice sheets. Feels more like a banh uot with slices of some pork for me. At least the fish sauce was decent. Service was meh :/ Interior is small, more like a togo place. They only got 1 table which i ate at.

My husband and I love banh mi sandwiches, and every time we find a good restaurant, we have to stop. We arrived at Dakao around 9ish in the morning on a weekday, and while we had a pretty large order, we didn't wait to long. We ordered a 1, 2, 5, 6,and 12, doughnuts, sesame balls, and Vietnamese iced coffee. This place was delicious, and the gentleman that took our order was nice and fast in getting to everyone's orders. The sandwiches were great, and we ended up leaving with about 7 sandwiches.

Google
Easy parking within a shopping plaza We came out early in the morning and it was pretty packed with customers going in and out. Clean ambience packed with tons of food and dessert selections within their showcase and refrigerator. This review is solely based on the Banh Mi sandwich as I have yet to try their full selection of foods Rating 3/5 lots of bread and a little meat and veggies inside. I would go to Saigon Baguette Over this spot strictly for Banh Mi sandwiches

Google
They make it fast! Recommend the $6.47 Banh Mi Thit (Pork) and their $2.50 fried banana. No fuss, local Vietnamese banh mi fast food shop, so we weren't expecting much. Depending on when they sellout, they can close earlier. So I'd recommend calling if you plan to visit late afternoon or evening. For SoCal banh mi loves, this place is a 3.5 star for being decent. For Vegas, it's a 4 star. Woot woot! Finally a place that is better than my disgruntled local picks...like places that taste like American potato salad, or Lees Sandwiches (A banh mi chain I never thought I'd ever need to ever buy a banh mi again. But that was my SoCal life thinking. Vegas life with the banh mi scene is a desperate situation). Staff suggested both #1 House and #2 Thit. Their diakon and carrots are not sweetened or even overly sweetened like many other places. $6.47 #1. House Special Bun Mi (cold cut style). I love cold cuts but one isn't for me. $6.47 #6 Bun Mi Thit (pork) is probably the recommended pick. $15 Canh Bun (Vietnamese Water Spinach Noodle Soup). Simple, and clean. I've never had this before. The soup isn't as think as my 1 experience with Bun Rieu at a different restaurant. The broth here was light, but I didn't really get much seafood infused taste. Nonetheless, I would reorder this again if craving comfort night soup. Takeout to heat at home, or eat there. $2.50 Fried Banana. Yum! You'd think it'd be soggy or spongy but it wasn't. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It wasn't overly sweet either. I may be interested to try next time -- $11 Chao Long (Pork Offal Congee). $6.47 #6 Bun Mi Thit (pork) to confirm if consistency is still the same. $2.50 Fried Banana again because I love pastry like desserts. This place reminds me of typical casual take out Vietnamese food like banh mi, fried snacks, and quick food to go. The staff speaks English. Takes credit card. 2 small tables here but it's more of a takeout.

Google
Bread was good, and sauces tasty, but no meatball in my meatball sandwich, just tiny bits or ground meat. :( Maybe the others are better

Google
Great Banh Mi sandwich. Fresh crusty bread and flavorful filling. Can’t beat the great pricing. Best banh mi sandwiches in Vegas.

Google
Dakao Sandwiches is a hidden gem in Chinatown. They make delicious banh mi sandwiches, pork buns, and my favorite—banh cuon (pork rice rolls). It’s a family-owned business, and the owners and employees are always friendly. The food is fresh, the prices are reasonable, and it’s a great spot for authentic Vietnamese food. Highly recommend!

Yelp
They open at 8am. You better come early because their stuff is gone quickly. The owners are very nice even I don't know a word they say, but just point at the items you want from the display, mission completed. They have probably the best baguette in town, and they are "buy 5 get one free". I love their veggie one and cured pork one. They have really good Vietnamese ham roll which is perfect for noodle soup, stir fry, or just put in sandwiches or salad. They have some very authentic desserts and pastries, too. And of course, the very strong and sweet condensed milk Vietnamese coffee. My favorite here is the dry rice noodle box!! If you want to dine in, they can heat up the noodles or pastry for you.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this gem of a banh mi spot in Vegas, and I must say, it's a real winner. The prices are incredibly reasonable, making it a great choice for those looking for a tasty meal without breaking the bank. One thing I noticed is that there seems to be a consistent worker here, which speaks volumes about the dedication and quality control of the establishment. It's always reassuring to see familiar faces, especially when they're serving up such delicious food. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop by this place for a mouthwatering banh mi experience. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Honestly, I've been here only a few times and each time I really tell myself to take pictures of the food before I devour but I forget and by the time I realize, I've already finished and inhaled my sandwich. This place is literally the best place to get authentic banh mi in Vegas so far for me. It hits every time and they are fast and consistent. The crunch upon biting but met with soft and warmth of the bread and followed by the juicy meats and veggies, literally 100/10 for me. I've also tried almost all their banh mi options and each one I can honestly say are all amazing. The one that surprised me the most is the egg and sausage bahn mi. Killer flavors and out of this world. Surprised me so much that I was blown away by it that I always want it now. Try this place, you will not regret it!!! Please note this place is small and there's like 2 small tables but this is meant to be an order and pick up type of place so be mindful of this if you are looking for a dine in experience/ lounge type.

Yelp
It's good. What can I say? No frills right down to the point. They make a fabulous sandwich. I grab a few every time I hit the road.

Yelp
I've been on the hunt for the perfect banh mi in Vegas, and I've finally found it here. The beef steak banh mi exceeded all expectations. The bread was incredibly fresh, with a perfect balance of softness and crunch. From now on, this will be my only stop for banh mi. Plus, the owner was incredibly sweet. Thank you!

Yelp
Got the #6 and Vietnamese iced coffee. Sandwich was 5 star: so good, light, fresh, and was done in less than 5 min. The ice coffee was mostly ice. We watched a guy in back grab what looked like left over coffee in a cup and put a bunch of ice in it. Still tasted pretty good, but wasn't comparable in value and price with other places. Overall 4 star.

Yelp
Banh Mi Dac Biet - As someone from OC, I think the banh mi here is mid compared to ones in OC. Very skimpy on the meat, pate, and butter. The baguette is thinner, lighter, softer, and crunchier than the ones from OC so it is definitely easier to chew. However, I do not think it is worth the price - there are cheaper and higher quality in OC. Service - it does get really crowded so come early! friendly :D

Yelp
Came here right after landing in Vegas before our road trip to Utah. It was lent Friday and we wanted the sardine banh mi but turns out they had ran out and only had enough for 1 banh mi whereas we wanted 4. We came specifically for that unfortunately. So we opted for the eggs and pork sausage banh mi and had them removed the pork sausage. Rather than give us more eggs as a replacement, they just charged us the same amount and removed the pork sausage. We also ordered 2 specialty banh mi. Now the bread was great, soft yet crispy where it wouldn't hurt your mouth when you bit into it, but the inside filling was lacking. Very little veggies, cilantro and protein. Much of the bite is filled with bread. Disappointing compared to the banh mi I normally get in Houston. The shrimp fried with some kind of Yukon potato was sweet and crispy. That was delicious. And the staff was super friendly and helpful. But unfortunately I wouldn't come back for their banh mi.

Yelp
IMHO This is the best Bahn Mi joint in LV. I like their baguette here the best not too crunchy and not too soft. I'm not sure if they bake it on their own or its from a bakery but I'll have to ask next time. The ingredients are fresh and the ratio of meat to veggies is perfect. The prices are good too. I love their egg /w Chinese sausage, the Dac Biet, grilled beef, and grilled pork. My favorite is the egg Chinese sausage it's especially good when you can get it fresh and warm. Grab some Iced coffee with the sandwich and It's the breakfast ever! I usually gobble it up in the car before I drive back home. Don't let the grungy strip mall and parking lot stop you this place is good. This place got me through working from home during COVID lock down.

Yelp
I have to say, the first thing that stood out to me was the bread. Their bread takes you back home to Vietnam, like how it would taste back in the motherland. Thin and crispy shell on the outside and soft bread on the inside. The sandwiches are a hit or miss, would love to have more filling and more veggies in the sandwiches. I think they have a buy 5 get 1 free sandwich deal too. Can mix and match the sandwiches. This is my go to place for banh mi sandwiches. They offer drinks too so if you need a Vietnamese coffee fix with your sandwich, nothing being with picking one up since you're already there. Vietnamese coffee is the traditional iced coffee. The owner was nice when I went and very friendly.
google avatar

Jamielei V.

Yelp
The best Vietnamese sandwich in town hands down. Not only the best taste but also cheap. I always get #1 and the beef bahn mi. Vietnamese iced coffee and nem is my go to when I visit. The owner is super friendly and has great customer service. They make their sandwich's fresh as you order. The only indoor seating they have is two tables. No restrooms as well. This place never disappoints.
google avatar

Yelp
Small shop for sandwiches so not a place you can eat at. More of a Togo type of place. Staff were nice and service was quick so we were in and out. Sandwiches were bomb!! Love the classic đặc biệt and thịt nướng sandwiches. Totally coming back again!
google avatar

Mary N.

Yelp
Traditional Vietnamese sandwich shop that also offers some other viet snacks. Service was fast and friendly. Very limited seating, only two tables. Think of it more of a To Go place. The Vietnamese iced coffee was a bit too strong for my taste.

Yelp
I had the Banh Mi Dac Biet and although it was a bit salty for my taste (I think it's the cold meat), the bread was to DIE for! Hands down the best banh mi bread I've had outside of Vietnam! I devoured it in my car like a salvage. The Cafe Sua Da was awesomely good too. At $7, a banh mi is a good and affordable eating option. The man behind the cashier was friendly and taking orders like a champ. They do accept both cash and credit card.

Yelp
Came here by recommendation from a Vietnamese nail tech. We spoke about Banh Mi Sandwiches and I told them how much I love them. They recommended I go here and let me know that they make their bread fresh everyday. I also LOVE bread so I had to take it up for consideration :) I came in with my best friend to try out a few. Veggie, Chicken, and Beef. (We also got the Basil Seed Pineapple drink, which was honestly the hi-light of our lunch - it was amazing!) My honest opinion: Sandwich was OK. Beef was way too fatty, Chicken didn't have much flavor and the Veggie was OK. nothing really stood out. I would've also appreciated some more cucumber or garnishes inside of it or a spread/sauce inside. Someone else mentioned the sandwich being "skimpy," I agree :| Overall, I was not fully impressed. I know this is a hole in the wall mom and pop place, but still. It is also not a place I'd like to go sit down and eat at with my girl friend. However, I still ate all my food but I probably won't go back. Meanwhile, I'll keep my search open for the best Banh Mi in Vegas!!!
google avatar

Susie T.

Yelp
So salty the thit nguoi. I can see the drenched bread filled with soy sauce. The sandwich was edible but just didn't do it for me. I think the number 12 saved the day for me. The bo (beef) banh mi. It was packed with flavor and was awesome! Lots of people come here so I had to wait for my sandwich a bit. It's better to call ahead. They sell other foods there like pork loaf, desserts, and the head cheese meat and ham meat they use for their banh mi. The cashier is nice and fast. It's small inside with 2 tables and kind of stuffy. It's really just an in and out place.

Yelp
Good banh mi is a bit tougher to find in Vegas, so I'm glad to finally try Dakao. When I asked a few of my Vietnamese friends to recommend the best spot in Vegas for banh mi, they all mentioned Dakao. It's a hole in a wall spot off Spring Mountain. The first thing that stood out is the quality of the baguette, which was very light and and airy on the inside, with a slight crispiness on the outside. Their banh mi isn't the biggest, so around $6.50 is about the most I would pay for each. Plus they could use more cilantro, picked veggies, jalapeno. If I'm ever craving decent banh mi in Vegas, I'll know where to go.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Dakao is a staple in the Las Vegas Vietnamese food scene. It is (in my mind) the top banh mi spot! I grew up eating banh mi that my ba ngoai either bought or homemade for me and this one always hits closest to that memory. They have a great variety to choose from: pork, beef, chicken, fish, and even vegetarian! Also, available for purchase are sesame balls, fried banana, various dessert che, canned drinks, Viet coffee, pate choux, sticky rice balls, and banh cuon. I even was able to buy from them a banh chung (New Year rice cake filled with mung bean and pork) for New Years! There are only two small tables so take out is their main business. Come support this local family business! It is authentic Vietnamese food and always hits the spot for my banh mi cravings.

Yelp
We always get banh mi dac biet for our ride home from VEGAS to OC! Their meat is skimpy but the breat, paye & meat is delicious. We ordered 4 & they offered us buy 5 & get 6th one free. So we did and so glad we did. 6 banh mi for $35! We always get banh mi for our ride home & we wouldn't do it any other way. (Put veggies/chili on the side of u want to keep the bread fresh & crispy.) I saw some ppl orders one to-go plates. Someday, I will venture out & try their other to-go plates.

Yelp
When my family and I feel like banh mi's, Dakao is our go to. The only reason why we don't go here more often is because they're farther from us (North LV) and/or they close pretty early (5pm). Location & Parking 3.5/5: Dakao is located in China town which is why parking could get a little tricky, but not as bad as some of the other plaza's in China town. Atmosphere & Ambience 3/5: This is a very small hole in the wall restaurant (which usually means great food LOL) with barely any seating (like a chair or two if you're lucky). Definitely a to-go place! But everything is made fresh, you just have to wait a bit. Service 4/5: The workers here are pretty nice, but like I said, everything is made fresh, so it might take a while till you get your order. They also get pretty busy and the lines can get long during lunch hour or during the weekends. If you're able to, try calling to order ahead. Food 5/5: My go-to banh mi's from here are the grilled pork and grilled steak sandwiches. They're flavorful and a good portion for the price (under $7 each sandwich). My son & husband love the fried egg & sausage banh mi and my mom orders the sardine banh mi. Overall Experience: 4/5
google avatar

Crystal R.

Yelp
Delicious and fresh baguette, it makes the sandwich!! Small family business. They make everything fresh, until sold out and in small batches. I asked the gentlemen behind the counter if they sold spring rolls and he said they had sold out but he made an order just for me. Such great service :) fyi it is busyyyy
google avatar

Anita C.

Yelp
Pro tip; call ahead for your order and go early. I went with my mom on a weekday for some sandwiches and there was a line. It wasn't even 12:30pm and they were already out of the charbroiled pork sandwiches. That's the most popular flavor! I do like number 1, the "special" sandwich. It has the pate and pork slices. There's 12 different sandwich options... then they have some desserts and as I was leaving they were bringing out some other already made items. There's only 2 tables inside so it's really more of a take out kind of place. They also sell their French bread; small or large. I got a large and it was just so good; fresh, crusty and soft inside. Be prepared to wait at least 10 minutes for your order if you didn't call it in beforehand. But it's totally worth it. And be smart, get at least 2 sandwiches, you'll thank me later.
google avatar

Mee L.

Yelp
My favorite place in Vegas for Vietnamese Banh Mi Sandwiches. They have other premade dishes as well but we never really order them. It's a small shop, the line can sometimes be long, but your food comes out fast and their baguette it amazing!! We always order: Dac Biet House Special Thit Nuong Pork Veggie TIP-- if you don't eat the sandwich right away, ask for the veggies on the side, you'll thank me later lol
google avatar

Yelp
In A Nutshell: -Dakao is a Vietnamese sandwich aka "banh mi" shop located in a worn-down strip mall in Chinatown off of Spring Mountain Rd. -As basic as this little shop looks, their product is pretty good. -For $6.47 you can select your choice of banh mi on the menu. -There are other pre-made baked goods & meals you can purchase for various prices too. -I've tried a few of their sandwiches & they are all tasty, hit the spot. Overall, I'm glad Dakao exists, especially when I get my haircut right next door, I just walk-in, order a sandwich & continue w/ my day.
google avatar

Tan P.

Yelp
I stopped by here to pick up a few sandwiches for the drive back to CA. The location was easy to get to and had plenty of parking. They accept cash and credit, but they prefer cash (if you know what I mean). Their sandwich bread was soft, but not as flavorful as other banh mi places. I think it is lacking butter or pâté. The sandwich meats were plentiful and good quality. They sold a lot of other Vietnamese food, too. Their iced Vietnamese coffee was the winner, very strong and sweet, just the way I like my Cafe Sua Da.
google avatar

Susan N.

Yelp
4 stars for the banh mi sandwiches here! That's all I would recommend. I come here every time I visit Vegas. There is a tiny little table with 2 chairs. Trust me, you don't want to eat inside. It is grungy. Just grab and go! Bread will still be fresh for the next few hours. I've had it fresh and cold and a day old, I thoroughly enjoyed it! One thing they don't add to sandwiches is mayonnaise like other Vietnamese banh mi shops. Sandwiches run about $6 ish for a 9 inch. Their sandwiches are fantastic fresh-made and even when not fresh, still very good and tasty. It is the BREAD!!! They put a generous amount of pate in each sandwich. I'm sure we can all appreciate that! They also offer the usual items like other similar shops such as nem (cured meat in banana leaves), Vietnamese che, cha (pork loaf), chao long (intestine porridge), pastries, etc. They take cash, credit, mobile pay like Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay. Parking isn't a headache. You'll be able to find a spot easily. It is a to-go place so no dinign seats. I didn't take any photos but will do it on my next visit!
google avatar

Yelp
Great banh mi! When I am in Vegas, I definitely try to get my hands on these scrumptious sandwiches!!!
google avatar

Sonya E.

Yelp
Picked up lunch here for the guys. I bought 3 sandwiches that came out to just under $18. I ordered the Banh Mi Dac Biet and two Banh Mi Thit Nuong. Bread was airy and fluffy (haha!), meat was tasty, and the pickled vegetables were on point. These guys also sell boxed Vietnamese food for a quick grab and go. Cash and cards are accepted. Very little seating inside. Just a convenient sandwich shop for a quick lunch. Support local small businesses y'all!
google avatar

Summer R.

Yelp
Decent banh mi, the baguette was amazing, everything you want in a baguette, crispy, airy, chewy, not too much bread in each bite and it didn't destroy the roof of my mouth. The pork was tender and full of flavor. Mayo good, not too much. Veg, not too impressed, I asked for extra and they gave me extra cucumber which I don't like, upside they don't charge for it. Always need extra cilantro and jalapeños please. It's no Bánh Mì Chè Cali, and a lot more money. My second experience after Lee's which is not as good as the original in Ca. still on the quest to find that perfect banh mi that i don't have to make lol Hubby got the chicken and said it was good, but he liked my pork better. very small inside, only 2 tables but the people working were very happy to help you
google avatar

Kimberly L.

Yelp
The best sandwich in LV! Light airy and crispy when eaten fresh! I got the grilled pork sandwich, specialty cold cuts and egg & Chinese sausage. 10/10
google avatar

Amy T.

Yelp
It was about $10 for a grilled pork banh mi and banana dessert. The bread was definitely light airy and fresh with a crispy exterior and soft interior. The grilled pork was seasoned okay they could have added more spice or flavor. It was really oily for some reason and dripping oil all over the place was a first for me. The banana dessert was sweet and savory which I enjoyed but the banana was a bit tough and heavy that it would bend my plastic spoon whenever I tried to scoop it out of the cup. I would come back again they were pretty friendly and there were plenty of customers.
google avatar

Joy C.

Yelp
Picked up coffee and banh mi sandwiches before driving back to SoCal. Dakao is a small bakery in a strip mall towards the end Chinatown in Vegas. Had a complicated order for the sandwiches, I'm glad they marked each one. I didn't get to take a picture of the Vietnamese iced coffee. It was delicious and strong, just the way I like it. The guy behind the counter was really nice and friendly. Great place to grab banh mi, baos and other delicacies. They are reasonably priced as well!
google avatar

Jim J.

Yelp
Almost as good as Little Saigon in Westminster. So if you remembered the 1980''s 90's style Banh Mi shops, it's no frills, dirty tables, less than great service, bottom line the food is authentic and legit... for Las Vegas that is.
google avatar

Grace C.

Yelp
They have a $15 minimum for credit cards. Plan to pay with cash if you're only getting a sandwich and drink or sandwich and sides. This was a quick stop for a bite to go as we were leaving Vegas. Got the beef banh mi - bread was crisp and fresh! Enjoyed it in the car (only one or two tables inside and mainly people inside ordering and waiting for food -- felt easier to eat outside).
google avatar

Irene T.

Yelp
The sandwiches are amazing. There's only 2 tables, so it's not really a dine in place. Bread is fresh and probably made on-site. Sandwiches came out fast, so no worries on the time for counter service. No ambiance since it's just a pick up sandwich place. Enjoy !!

Shelly K.

Yelp
Not a fan. I ordered the beef banh mi, spring rolls and coffee. Every item was poor quality with few ingredients and expensive for what it is. The beef was seasoned with that tastes like char shui sauce and was very sweet. The spring rolls were tiny, filled with 1 sprimp, gio, lots of vermecelli, some basil and wilting iceberg lettuce accompanied by peanut sauce that was too heavy on hoisin. The coffee was even sweeter and mostly ice and filled only filled 80% of the cup. The customer service was average and my order came out quickly. Unfortunately will not be returning.
google avatar

Ignacio P.

Yelp
First things first, one of the best banh mi in Vegas. The bread is perfectly doughy and the exterior is so deliciously crispy. Also secret hack, ask for double meat ;), you won't regret it. The meat is so tender and they put just the perfect amount of veggies inside. 10/10 Nothing comes close to this spot in regards to their Vietnamese ice coffee though. The balance of sweet condensed milk and bitter coffee is on point. Perfect amount of ice to coffee ratio and it's always so refreshing and satisfying. If you need a pick me up, this is a fly me up, they always got me right. 10/10 The service is also amazing and fast. The family who owns the restaurant is extremely helpful and wholesome. They treat their customers personally and will recommend great items and hook it up when needed. 10/10 Overall, just the best place to quickly slide by and get yourself a nice little bite to eat with a coffee to match.

Lynelle M.

Yelp
We ordered the house banh mi sandwich. It was great, but very skimpy on the meat. Still delicious though.
google avatar

Antonia M.

Yelp
This is my go to spot in Las Vegas for The real deal authentic Vietnamese bánh mì baguette sandwiches and deli. I've been going here for over 8 years now. Pro tip: buy 6 banh mi and receive one FREE They make their bread fresh here and you can taste the difference. Over the years, the fillings may have gotten a little lighter, however the taste is just like home to me ( I am Vietnamese American). My typical order includes: banh mi Dac Biet (special cold cuts), banh mi Thit Nuong (bbq beef), Nem Nuong (cured sausage), Xiu Mai (meatball). You can ask for the pickled veggies on the side or in the sandwich. This is also a deli, so they have a full deli menu. They offer quick takeout sweet and savory food options and snacks! I recommend trying the wide noodle salad called Banh Cuon if they have it! One of my favorites.

Yelp
This place stays pretty busy for it being a hole in the wall shop, parking can get really tight in the plaza it is located in. I atopped in during my lunch break to get a sandwich and drink but ended up having to get more sandwiches because I only had my credit cards on me and they required a minimum amount to use a card. In the 10 minutes tops I was there, there were probably at least 6 other customers in and out getting food there. The sandwiches were ok to me, not my favorite but plenty of people seem to like it.

Yelp
I'm so sick of this place! This is the second grilled pork sandwich I found white hair in. Like wtf?! Do you guys not know what a hairnet is?! I bought 3 of them and I had to throw them all away cause I found 2 sandwich with hair! I don't wanna even want trying to eat the 3rd one. I already lost my appetite Seriously get a hair net so this doesn't happen. Finding hairs one both my sandwich is a terrible sign

Yelp
An unassuming shopfront that delivers big on flavor. We visited Dakao Sandwiches in Las Vegas' Chinatown neighborhood. Very simple interior with a menu above the service window and behind deli cases. I felt welcome and though most customers spoke Chinese the staff was fluent in English as well. The 12 sandwiches offered cover a broad range of different proteins while the balance of the fillings are mostly the same. We tried- house special, bbq pork, chicken and steak sandwiches. If you order 5 this 6th is free! Each sandwich is served on a delicious French roll with a crisp exterior and soft interior. Inside is the protein and pickled vegetables. Most bahn mi have a pate as well but I wasn't sure if ours did. Order of satisfaction- house special, chicken, bbq pork and far last was the steak. Each sandwich ran between $4.50 to 6.00.

Yelp
Hands down they have the best bánh mì. The bread is so crunchy even stayed out for a while. I also love their bánh cuốn. Iced coffee. Saw they also selling porridge. Beef jerky Salads which is rarely find in Vegas. Will purchase those next visit but definitely recommend so far. Plus they open really early for y'all early morning folks.

Yelp
There's an incredible subtlety to the banh mi here. Everything is enough of what it needs to be without being too much of anything. The bread is the #1 reason to get banh mi here. It's perfectly light, crisp, and chewy. It's amazing. The pickles are sweet enough, without being too acidic or sweet. You'll see what I mean. I got the #1 and #6. The barbecue pork was really great. If you are used to eating punchier banh mi, the first few bites taste might bland in your mind, but the flavor just builds on itself and is just a great pleasure to eat. Sandwiches are about $4.15 a pop now. To anyone ever dropping a review on how banh mis might have less filling in them now... who cares?! I can't blame business owners for trying to cut costs. They probably have to sell 1000 banh mi just to pay rent around here, let alone turn a profit. It's been a really hard year on all business owners. Vietnamese coffee was good here and not too sweet, but hm, I'd probably stick to Lee's like the sucker I am for the rich, sweet, over-the-top Vietnamese coffee that leaves you on a caffeine high so strong that you're crippled with anxiety for four hours. The coffee here is absolutely leaded and will keep you bouncing around for hours- let the ice melt a bit, otherwise it tastes like alcohol at first (unless you like vodka flavor in yours). Credit card limit is now $15. Nice people, and there's a line for a reason. Good local business to support.

Yelp
I love these sandwiches. Everything is fresh and well made. You see a lot of Vietnamese people there. So you know it's got to be good. It is a hole in a wall place. There is very little seating. It's basically to go food. The prices are very competitive and the people behind the counter as super nice. If this place was closer to me, I would go everyday.

Yelp
Stop going to Lee's and go to Dakao. This quiet and unassuming shop has been a staple in my Vegas eating schedule since I found this place 5 years ago. The sandwiches are filled with generous portions of meat and fresh veggies, which are wrapped by fluffy and crunchy bread. The resulting flavor is so much more satisfying than other banh mi shops in town--and a great value for the money too. I wish they opened later so that I could get my banh mi fix late night too, but that's a me problem :)

Yelp
Maybe their other items are better since they have cases full of other viet dishes that many people seemed to be ordering but their banh mi was bad. We ordered the grilled pork and grilled chicken. Both pretty decently priced at $4.15. The length of the bread was long but they didn't fill it up that much. Also, the bread didn't have any crunch. It was soft and mushy. You almost had to gnaw at the sandwich to eat it. My partner liked the flavor of his pork but my chicken was completely lacking in flavor. I doubt this chicken ever touched a grill. You can even tell from the picture how bland it was. Veggies were standard. We will not be back. Also, note that there's a $15 minimum to use a credit card
