A couple of days ago (Friday) I was at Blodgett Food hall to pick up a catering order and I saw a very inviting food truck in the parking lot so I said let me go see what they got up in here and I was met with a very friendly gentleman by the name of Thernoir who was getting the truck ready for business the next day (Saturday) and I inquired about the kind of food they served and he told me they serve African and Jamaican food, which I Love❣️❣️ but I was a bit disappointed that the food truck wasn’t ready to serve me, but he told me that I could order from inside the virtual restaurant and he actually escorted me inside And navigated the menu on the kiosk for me and he recommended the jerk chicken and the oxtails. I ordered jerk chicken with white rice and fried plantain. He asked me if I wanted a drink and he told me a couple of flavors that they had so I told him to surprise me and he brought out a pineapple ginger drink, and it was very good and refreshing. Needless to say, his Customer Service was superb and OMG‼️ the food was amazing 🤩 When I got home, my intentions were to put some of the food onto a separate plate and sit down like a normal person and eat while I watch a good movie, but by the time I put that food on the TV dinner tray and took it out of the bag and opened the container. I was like oh man this food looks so good. Let me get with it right now‼️I didn’t even bother to reach for the remote. I didn’t bother to get a plate. I just ate that food right out of the container like a ravished dog😅 it was that doggone good😍 I don’t even think I came up for air to tell you the truth😂 I’ve never had food this good in my life and I’ve had some really good food☺️
OK, this is Sunday, two days later…that good food has been on my mind for the last couple days so I woke up this morning and told myself I am going to order some more jerk chicken, but I wanna try their jollof rice so I went down to the blodgett food hall kiosk and ordered the same thing I ordered Friday except this time I had the passionfruit drink with it. Then a few hours later I called the restaurant and talk to Thierno (he remembered me) because I wanted to order some jollof rice but I didn’t see how to do it on the kiosk. He so patiently and politely helped me out again. He is amazing.🤩 Like I said his customer service is superb just like their food❣️❣️ And again, I ravished the jerk chicken, white rice, and plantains😂 and the passionfruit drink was also just as good as the ginger pineapple; very refreshing. Very 😋 And of course no remote, no TV, no plate… just straight out the container with sheer savory sensation and silence - just me and this delicious Dakar Street food cause it’s just that doggone good that you don’t need or have time for nothing else‼️I am so happy I found this hidden treasure🥰 but at the same time I’m mad that it’s been there the whole time that I’ve been coming to this place for a whole year to pick up food and never knew that this gem was right there and I could’ve been eating this good food all this time🤦🏽♀️ that’s OK. I know where I can get delicious goodness at now❣️😋
