Dal Fiorentino Fitzrovia - Review - Fitzrovia - London - The Infatuation

"Dal Fiorentino is a cut-and-paste sandwich chain that’s actually worth your time. The formula is simple: bread (thin, crisp schiacciata), meat (slices of Tuscan pancetta, fennel salami, pistachio mortadella), and sauce (smears of truffle, artichoke, or ‘nduja cream). Every sandwich is finished with a drizzle of olive oil and a crack of salt. It’s the sort of sensible construction and size that makes eating one over lunch without needing a shirt change possible. Get yours to-go. The assembly line of sandwich-makers at the Fitzrovia spot—slicing, draping, and saucing—is satisfying, but it’s not exactly a calming set-up to have a moment with your grandly named Michelangelo sandwich." - Sinéad Cranna

Such a great find for focaccia lovers. The bread is the first win: soft, warm, and with that perfect light chew. The counter is loaded with fresh ingredients, and you literally watch them stack everything into these proper, full-on sandwiches: roasted vegetables, creamy spreads, pesto that actually tastes fresh, and proper burata & mozzarella cheese. It’s the kind of place where you can see the quality before you even take a bite. The flavours are super well balanced, nothing heavy or messy, just a really satisfying focaccia sandwich done right. For the price, it’s a real gem. I’d gladly come back to work my way through the menu.

everything smell and looks italian. And the staff is Italian too! does it matter? yes it does, because. you need to know your produce, the ingredients and the recipes in a level that only if you are Italian you can truly understand and master. I went to the more famous competitor and i was disappointed. here everything is where is supposed to be. proper Italian steeet food. not the price, because you're in London! I'm Italian and I am nostalgic of the local places I used to go. and I'm pleased to see abroad small business working hard and baing successfull. it's almost 1pm now and the place it's packed. the guys are working relentlessly and their system just works fine. the speed is impressive. NO Delivery it's a policy in place to make sure the real physical customers get all the attention and the effort. bravi ragazzi!

Our son had a voucher from his work to go eat at Dal Fiorentino so we followed along. Ooohhh lucky us! What an amazing feast we encountered in this very cool, friendly and so special place. The staff is super friendly, professional and attentive to making the best sandwiches ever. I couldn’t believe the taste of all the fresh ingredients mixed together in between this super tasty Florencian bread. Sharing this experience with my son just before flying back home made my day! Bravissimooooo!

Google
Sandwich shop where I tried their DA Vinci Comes with ham, pesto, burrata, etc on their bread 🍞 picked large Overall loved it and would recommend. Got the sandwich fast too Their site has pictures so it gives you a good idea of what you’re getting if you’re new here. My only slight complaint would be the size. It was a bit small or at least smaller than some social media people showed off 😅

The Italian focaccia was made with fresh ingredients and tasted incredible. I brought a friend for the first time, and we were both impressed by the freshness and amazing flavour. Such a wonderful experience, we’ll definitely be back!

Took the tube from Covent Garden there at 8am to secure some travel food. Ordered a Da Vinci: Mortadella, Whole Burrata, Pistachio Pesto and of course EVOO, packed it for the flight back to the states. Needless to say, it kicked ass on United’s in flight options. I know, should’ve snapped a pic before chomping into it, was so anxious to go to town after holding off until mid flight. It did not disappoint one bit. Bread baked on site was perfect, the type that’ll tear up the roof of your mouth if you’re not careful. Delish!

Visited just before closing on a Sunday, bread still tasted very fresh. Great service and range of menu options, thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich, would recommend

I would like to express my dissatisfaction regarding the lack of compliance with the business hours of this establishment. According to the information provided, the store should be open at the scheduled time. However, on two consecutive days, September 8 and 9, I went to the location and found it closed, even during its advertised operating hours. This situation demonstrates a lack of professionalism and respect for customers, who rely on the stated opening hours to plan their visits. Not honoring the announced schedule causes inconvenience, wastes time, and damages the credibility of the business. Furthermore, when I tried to address the issue, the employee was extremely rude, which only made the experience worse and completely unacceptable. Courtesy and professionalism are essential when dealing with customers, especially in situations where the business itself has failed to meet expectations. Additionally, if there are any changes to the regular business hours, the establishment could at least notify customers in advance by updating online tools such as Google Maps or social media. Since most clients use these platforms to find the location and check its availability, providing accurate information there would help avoid frustration and maintain customer trust. I kindly request that the establishment ensures consistency and adheres to the official business hours, while also using digital platforms to communicate any changes clearly and promptly, and that staff are trained to treat customers with respect at all times.
