Vietnamese dishes from the Dalat region of Vietnam offered in a casual eatery.
"This strip mall restaurant has the best Vietnamese food in White Center. A specialty is their Mì Quảng Đà Lạt—a noodle soup with spareribs, pork belly, and egg, topped with peanuts and fried onions that give phở a run for its money. On Saturdays, they have live music from 7-9pm, and we can't think of a better night spent than eating egg rolls to the sound of a funk band." - kayla sager riley, gabe guarente
"The banh mi at this White Center spot are grilled to order, so it’s best to dine in or to eat them as soon as possible when ordering to-go. For the dac biet, the cold cuts are sliced in-house and are thicker for a meatier experience. The grilled pork is a little non-traditional but still delicious with vinegary pepperoncinis to supplement the jalapenos, plus red onions and cooling slices of tomato." - Jay Friedman, Eater Staff
"Nestled into a strip mall between a beauty shop and a grocery store, Dalat Quan offers excellent Vietnamese comfort food. The velvety Thailand Noodle Soup with the tom kah coconut rice noodle warms the body, while more rice noodles can be found in the dry hu tieu, loaded with marinated pork belly, squid, and prawns, and served with a quail egg in a rich broth. Another crowd-pleaser is the tumeric noodle soup, mi quang, packed with pork hock, ribs, and shrimp." - Jenise Silva
"This strip mall restaurant in White Center makes a tasty grilled pork banh mi with enough nutty black pepper cracked on it that it could cosplay as cacio e pepe—and it's great. But if you want something that will warm you from the inside out, try their specialty Mì Quảng Đà Lạt—a hearty noodle soup with spare ribs, pork belly, and egg that makes you forget all about phở. On Saturdays, Dalat Quán has live music from 7-9pm, and there may be no better way to spend a night than eating egg rolls to the sound of a funk band. " - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo
"This White Center restaurant features Da Lat-style special noodle soups, including nam vang noodle soup and a Da Lat version of bun bo hue with beef brisket. There’s also a hearty bowl of mi quang, which contains turmeric noodles, pork spare ribs, prawns, quail eggs, and a sesame rice cracker. The banh xeo is an interactive experience: Diners place pieces of the Vietnamese pancake, herbs, and greens (including, in season, a mustard leaf called cai be xanh) inside rice paper to eat it more neatly. The restaurant also offers live jazz most Saturday nights." - Jay Friedman
