The Best Restaurants In Somerville - Boston - The Infatuation

"Dali is over the top, entirely too much, and a pretty perfect place for family dinners (biological or chosen). If it feels like a party started here in the ‘80s and has been raging ever since, that's because it has. The proof is in the three decades’ worth of tchotchkes lining the walls, including a giant golden bedazzled fish skeleton and a clothesline of undergarments hanging between an interior archway. It’s the kind of maximalist old-school tapas spot that cranks out classics like gambas al ajillo with the most garlicky olive oil you can imagine, buttery sweet plates of jamon iberico, and a seafood paella that’s smoky, spicy, and floral (from the saffron) all at once. Some red wine sangria and flan for dessert are no-brainers. Always make a reservation, because there are no slow nights here." - tanya edwards, lala thaddeus, catherine smart

The Best Restaurants In Inman Square - Boston - The Infatuation

"We’re still trying to figure out why there’s underwear hanging on a clothesline in the dining room at Dali. But decor aside, there’s a very large tapas menu we like with classics like croquetas and gambas al ajillo. While it may not be the best tapas spot in the city, we guarantee that you’ll have a lot of fun at dinner - especially when your group is passing around a porrón pitcher filled with cava and pouring shots from 11 feet away. Now that we think about it, the underwear is starting to make a lot more sense." - joel ang
