Dama Grill - Review - Culver City - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"You don’t need much of an ordering strategy at Dama Grill. Nearly everyone at this casual, cafeteria-esque Middle Eastern spot in Culver City is ordering thesemi-viralchicken shawarma wrap, and you should too—provided it’s not sold out. It comes tightly rolled in soft but sturdy saj bread, stuffed with thin shavings of spit-roasted chicken, and spackled with mayo-y garlic sauce and tart pomegranate molasses. If they run out of shawarma (as they do some evenings), they’ll default to the chicken kebab wrap, which is fine, but a little on the dry side. We suggest showing up early to avoid the gamble. The patio at Dama is usually filled with families sharing plates and kids running around with fistfuls of fries, so if you don’t feel like hovering around for an open table, order your wrap to-go." - Cathy Park

Best Affordable Los Angeles Restaurants to Eat at for Under $25 This Summer | Eater LA

"Reddit led me to this Palms Syrian-influenced shawarma shop where EDM blares and big screens loop the menu; the patio is the better perch as cars zip down Venice. The star is thinly shaved, aggressively seasoned beef tucked into thin flatbread scorched on the shawarma hotplate, with only mayo-like garlic and spicy sauces inside, forming a box-pressed tube served whole or sliced; I might give a slight edge to Gardena’s Borjstar on the lamb-beef blend, but this is easier to reach, and the chicken shawarma keeps pace with Sincerely Syria. Fries are very good—crisp, golden, and well-salted—and first-timers get sample bites of the shawarma wrap of their choice, a real X-factor in the service. Must-try dishes: chicken and beef shawarma, french fries." - Rebecca Roland

It's good, but not worth the wait. It's not anything extraordinary, just good Shawarma, not exceptional. I appreciate a good Shawarma but it's a little overpriced and the wait time is long (it was a little more than 45 minutes on a Saturday). The chicken is better than the beef but both were good overall. The spicy sauce is not spicy at all. The garlic and tahini were good. Portions are a bit small for the price. There's no space for dine-in due to the crowds.

Google
Had the chicken shawarma, chicken kebab wrap, and falafels and I have to say this was 100% worth the hype. I came from Toronto and this was the best thing I had in LA period. The chicken kebab wrap was life-changing and was my favourite out of the three items. The side of fries were crispy and well seasoned. The shawarma wrap dipped in the garlic and pomegranate molasses was phenomenal. Thank you Dama Grill for an amazing experience! I’m 100% coming back here next time I’m going to LA.

Google
you love beef or chicken shawarma, you will absolutely fall in love with this place. The wraps are unbelievable, so juicy, so flavorful, they literally melt in your mouth. I promise you, you won’t stop at just one… you’ll already be planning your next visit while finishing your first wrap. I personally love the shawarma plate after my workouts, amazing protein that actually tastes sooo good (finally!). It’s now officially my favorite shawarma spot in all of LA. OMG 😍 the garlic and tahini sauce are an absolute MUST. Don’t even think about skipping them. They take everything to a whole different level. Huge thank you to the lovely owner and his kids for the warm hospitality and the incredible food. You truly brought the taste of home to the USA — and honestly, it even tastes better than home. Because of you, I will never miss that flavor again. ❤️ Highly, highly recommended!

Google
I would have given this place 5 stars if it wasn't for the 45 minute wait time lack of any service and items on the menu that you weren't able to order. It's a very small facility, but boy is it popular and I totally get why, becuase the food is out of this world. It took us a little over an hour to get there since we braved the drive in from the valley. We got there around 7:40, and placed our order at 7:45. When I say placed out order, I mean through a self service kiosk as there isn't an actual register. They have a TV menu that we looked at and knew what we wanted, but then we got to the front of the line and the kiosk didn't have most of the items that were showing on the TV menu. Part of this is because they ran out of the beef, but I don't know about the other reason why some of the chicken dishes weren't on the menu. We were #192 and they started calling 186 so I thought we were good until we noticed they were jumping around on the numbers, so after a while we realized that anyone ordering the Shawarma was still waiting alongside us. When I say 45 minute wait, I mean exactly 45 minutes because we counted the time. It's hard to sit there when it smells so amazing and wait that long. Anyway, we ordered 2 chicken shawarma combos at $17.99 each. The combo comes with olive, pickles, pepperoncinis, garlic dip, freench fries and the wrap cut in in 12 pieces. I was worried about the pomegranate molasses but let me just say WOWWWWWW. The food is unlike anything I have had before, there's not denying it is a masterpiece, and I was just so upset it was sooo good cause now I want to go back again but it was just too far and too long of a wait. Thankfully there was a free parking in the back so that was a plus. There's seating inside and outside but it is first come first serve and there were tables with no chairs, or people were bringing chairs in from the outside seating to seat inside so it was all very disorganized in that sense. We ended up eating in the car cause it was just so loud in there and it was hard to stay there after already spending 45 minutes waiting with so many people around. When we go back we will absolutely order ahead through either doordash, grubhub ir postmastes as there is no fee. We wanted to do that initially but since we looked up the TV menu and then saw the menu on the ordering apps we didn't see what we wanted so we just went in. Now that we have first hand experience and understanding, we will work smarter on our next visit. For all intents and purposes, come and try this delicious food!

Google
This is by far the best shawarma I’ve had in a very long time. The wait time was long, around 40 mins, so expect to kill a bit of time in your car or around the area. I got the combo which came with a chicken shawarma, fries and I also added a soda. Fries were so crunchy, the shawarma was flavorful and smoky. Highly recommend this place.

Google
Amazing shawarma! Juicy, fresh and full of flavor with perfect sauce. Easily the best I’ve had in California. Great spot for a quick, filling meal. I’ll definitely come back — highly recommend to anyone who loves real shawarma.

Google
I don’t care I waited 30 minutes for my order on a busy Friday night. I’ve had shawarma all over the world and this was the best shawarma of my life. I devoured the chicken kabob wrap (they had it ready first before my chicken shawarma plate that I forgot to take a picture of) and I would wait longer if I needed to. There’s no online ordering or phone in orders unfortunately but every minute of waiting is worth it because this place is the best.

Google
I visited Dam Grill and really enjoyed the chicken shawarma — it was delicious. The fries were a bit too salty for my taste, but overall the food was good. The place has a simple design, but for me it felt more like a good to-go option. The restroom wasn’t clean, and I didn’t feel comfortable staying inside for long. I just wanted to grab my food and head somewhere calmer and cleaner.

Yelp
Great restaurant been eating since open. free drink if you review and the workers are the best. also a great place to sit down and eat. Dama #1!!!

Yelp
Customer service was amazing and it was one of the best shawarma wraps i have had. I drove 4 hours to try the restaurant and was not disappointed.

Yelp
Looking for shawarma in the Palms area near Culver City? This is your spot! It's been years since the last time I had some tasty shawarma. The chicken is juicy and tender, just perfect for every bite! Both the chicken shawarma and the chicken kebab are delicious. Be sure to order some fries too. I also got the falafel plate that comes with six pieces, however I found these to be a bit dry for me; I wish they were juicy. Service can be slow, depending on how busy it is. My first time here, I had to wait for 45 minutes after placing my order. The place was popping! Then my second time here, they had already sold out. Needless to say, Dama is a popular and tasty place, so plan ahead.

Yelp
Oh boy......I am very pissed right now. I was so excited to try this place. It's been about 45 minutes and I've finally calmed down. I placed my order via kiosk. There are 4 people working there. An older gentleman in the back, cooking kabobs. Another gentleman making the shawarma. A guy that seems to be prepping and expediting and the lady in the front. I'm painting a picture...stay with me. After placing my order I stood at the door which is an elevated position, watching all the magic happen in the kitchen. The lady at the front was getting the orders together, bagging them up and getting customers out. It is now 12:15pm. They opened at 12pm and there's 13 people waiting to order or have ordered. It's busy. As the lady at the front is getting orders together, one of the shawarma wraps fall out of the bag, onto the floor. She reaches to pick it up. She tells the prepper guy that she needs a new one because it fell on the floor and hands it to him. He then takes it to the back to put it down. At this point I'm wondering why she and/or the guy just didn't throw it away. That was my first thought. It should've been a reflex to toss it.out. I'm still standing by the door watching all of this happen. The prepper guy is now back at his station for a few then proceeds to go back to the area with the warp that fell on the floor is sitting. He unwrapped it, dusted it off and re-wrapped it. I'm watching this happen live in 4K. He grabbed it, carried it to his station, went to the griddle where there were wraps cooking and counted them and then back to his station. He then put it in the bag and placed it on the front counter and told the lady that it was with order 6. Guess what......I'M ORDER 6. I'm in absolute disbelief right now. In the same amount of time it to him to fake like he was making another one, he could have made another one. I always knew that some restaurants did this type of thing, but I've never seen it in real life. As the lady packs my bag and put the dropped item in there she says "number 6". I beeline to counter and tell her to give me bag. I look at it and show here that this is the one she dropped. She said no...he made another one. I said no he didn't I watched him. That's the same one. She asks if I wanted them to make me another. I said no.....don't worry about and walked out. I was so angry I just left. I didn't even think to ask for my money back, I was that mad. On the way home I saw a homeless guy and gave the bag to him. That was a $45 plus tip order down the drain. If you choose to eat here, it's on you....I'm not telling you not to but keep an eye on the people that work there. This should deserve a call to the health department. If I felt like it would do any good, I would. EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK. 12/30/25

Yelp
Tik Tok and IG got me for Sustenance Saturday, and since I was in the area, driving by and most importantly found parking, I decided to stop. There are about 4-5 casual tables inside, and more covered patio seating outside. Outside was full, inside had availability. There wasn't much of a line when I arrived late afternoon, and there was quite a line when I left maybe 30 min later. Ordering was a little confusing because you self order on a screen kiosk, but the kiosk options did not match what was on the tv screen menus hanging above the counter. I wanted the 2 chicken shawarma wraps with fries which was on the tv menu, but not at the self order kiosk. I asked the young man behind the counter and he said the 2 mini wraps were no longer available and it was only the one large wrap with fries. Ok, I guess I'll order that. I was unclear if they were out of the 2 mini wraps just that day and time, or for forever. Single wrap was a good size, and there were ton of crispy fries that I couldn't finish. The chicken was tasty, and the garlic sauce was yummy. I did not detect any of the pomegranate molasses, which to be honest is why we're all going. There was no way to order an extra side of the molasses either, so that was disappointing. Not sure where all these pictures are coming from with extra sides of garlic sauce and molasses. Wish there would be some better consistency with the orders. Wish the tv menu would match the kiosk menu. Wish the mix of one beef and one chicken shawarma wrap was available. The kitchen is very busy trying to fill orders and seemed a little overwhelmed with the recent social media popularity. Would I go back? Sure, if I was driving by and found parking. Would I wait in a long a$$ line? No Bonus: yummy wrap, lots of fries, good garlic sauce Bogus: no detectable pomegranate molasses, no way to order extra, why are they gatekeeping this

Yelp
I came here after hearing great things about Dama Grill from my friends, and I was so excited to try crispy shawarma. There is a parking lot in the back, and there is both indoor and outdoor seating here, pretty spacious. You order on a kiosk, and it took about ten minutes before we got our wraps. We sat inside to eat, and our wraps were delicious! I love the sauces they gave us too, one was toum and the other was a more sesame flavored (?). We got both the chicken and beef, but the beef won by far. It was juicy and flavored well!

Yelp
First thing I noticed was a long line out the door when I arrived. So you gotta think...the food must be good. I got the chicken shawarma combo. While waiting, I took a bunch of pics of the place. 45 minutes later, it was ready for to go. After a few bites, I thought to myself...You know what? It was good! So good, I forgot to take pics of the food.

Yelp
Ohmygoodness. This place is a must try. Chicken and Beef Shawarmas were AMAZING. Perfectly crunchy on the outside, packed with so much flavor and the sauces were so yummy. One was garlic based and the other was pomegranate so it was sweet and very delicious, I've never eaten anything like it with shawarma and I loved it. Can't wait to be back and try their falafels as well! Parking is fairly easy with street parking around the corner- came around dinner time and I didn't have any issues finding a spot.

Yelp
It was all really good. We got the chicken and loved the garlic sauce that went with it. Fries were yum. I seen some complaints of waiting but we didn't wait long for our food maybe 10 min if that. I'd come back.
google avatar

Zain Q.

Yelp
Shawarma was good! Really enjoyed the touch of pomegranate molasses in it. The place was packed. I wish they had the smaller versions as well which comes in a pita bread instead of the thinner saj bread. The garlic sauce was tasty. One of the better shawarmas I have had in the US Hope it stays this consistent

Yelp
I love the outdoor seating in the pleasant ambience, but the Shawarma is excellent. I had to beef and my friend had the chicken and we had to have some all natural yogurt drink to accommodate it. The service was very quick and I have to tell you I definitely will be coming back here. The food was delicious. I love sitting out front on the sidewalk with my friend Enjoying each delicious bite welcoming the next.

Yelp
Dama grill is a cool kebab and shawarma spot on venice blvd. There's plenty of seating and the have multiple menu displays and self service station. Now my biggest gripe is i order one wrap and fries and it took 40 mins to come. Multiple people came in after me and got food before me. I was on lunch break and didn't get a chance to eat. I got the Xander Wrap its chicken fries spicy garlic sauce on it and the wrap was grilled. The chicken had a nice easy char it was juicy and tender nice flavors. The spicy garlic sauce is nice and juicy. The fries were well done crispy but definitely lacked seasoning. Would i go back and try it maybe the wait was just too long in my opinion for the amount of food I ordered.

Yelp
I rarely eat at hole in the walls since I need a serious background check before going. AKA multiple tik tok videos hyping it up to be the best shawarma in LA. I'm here to confirm it does! | F O O D | Chicken Shawarma 8.5/10 - The balance of tender meat, acidic peppers, addictive garlic sauce, and wrapped in a crisp exterior. Beef Shawarma 7/10 - same experience, but preferred the spices and flavor of the chicken Chicken and Rice Plate 8.5/10- The char on the chicken adds even depth of flavor and is still extremely tender and juicy. The rice is packed with spices and getting a nice bit with garlic sauce on top just makes it perfect. | O V E R A L L | I wish I could just buy a gallon of garlic sauce and put it on everything. Stick to the chicken, but everything on the menu lives up to the hype. I have already gone back and it was extremely crowded. Parking is easy, but I couldn't figure out how to order online. Phone and doordash didn't work plus no website, making ordering before impossible.
google avatar

Mikey F.

Yelp
I dont know how they pack in so much flavor but its truly amazing. Service was quick. You order through the screens at the counter. Theres decent seating space inside and out plus parking in back and along the street. Price for the flavors is unbeatable. Overall a must try if you havent.

Yelp
The food here is absolutely delicious! Service is wonderful, they are so friendly and welcoming. The lines are consistent, but they move quickly. The food was fresh and prepared perfectly. We ordered a variety of their wraps and enjoyed all of them. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating And a parking lot on the backside of the restaurant. Highly recommended if you are looking for authentic and flavorful Middle Eastern food in the area!

Yelp
I can't stop thinking about the chicken shawarma. 1. Sometimes you don't know you want something until you've had it and that is me with Dama Grill's chicken shawarma wrap. I've always like chicken shawarma but the way they wrap and grill their shawarma wrap is exactly what I was looking for. 2. The wrap is thinner and longer, making it great for holding and biting because when wrapped in a pita or something similar, fillings tend to fall out and it's harder to eat. 3. We tried the chicken and beef shawarma and prefer the chicken. The marinade is tasty, chicken is juicy, and when paired with the garlic sauce and pomegranate molasses, omg flavor explosion! These two sauces are addictive and the employees were so kind and gave me extra sauces too. 4. My only wish was that both shawarma wraps had been hotter when we got them. I think they would've been even more enjoyable if the temperature had been right. 5. They have indoor and outdoor dining options. There's also a parking lot in the back which is a huge plus.

Yelp
We tried Dama Grill's Chicken Shawarmas after seeing them go viral on TikTok, and let me tell you... they did not disappoint. The pomegranate molasses on top was next-level and honestly might be the best thing we've ever had on a shawarma. Every bite was packed with flavor, and we're already planning a trip back to LA just to have it again. The only downside was the wait time, but given that they were extremely busy, it's not a huge deal. A total must-try if you're in the area!

Yelp
The food here is really good. They have a simple menu. I got the beef wrap and it was so flavorful. The fries are also incredible. So deliciously crispy. When you dine in be prepared for a wait depending on the day. They have to grill the wraps so it takes a bit.
google avatar

Ahmad H.

Yelp
Chicken, flat bread and the service was good. Loved the flavor of the meat. But the garlic paste was essentially all mayo with a little garlic kick - the authentic toom I'm used to is simply garlic, Olive oil, and lemon. To me, the garlic paste is what brings it all together so that being what it was almost ruined the meal for me.
google avatar

Yelp
I came here for the first time. Was in the neighborhood. The place is small inside but the do have seating inside and out. Once you enter you have to place your order on the pad. Theres a server that helps if needed. The food was delicious I ordered the chicken plate. It came with grilled chicken skewers with spicy bread , French fries , grilled onions and tomatoes with creamy humus. They did a great job with this meal. The chicken was well cooked and seasoned. The onions were so delicious. Great job. I will be back.

Yelp
We went to Dama Grill, a Syrian-owned spot that serves Syrian-style shawarmas. I found it on TikTok, and since we love Syrian shawarma and it's close to our neighborhood, we figured we'd check it out. We ordered the Xanders Shawarma (chicken shawarma with spice sauce, creamy garlic sauce and crispy fries) and the Syrian-style beef shawarma. We also got chocolate pistachio baklava and a side of fries. The Xander shawarma was definitely the best thing we got. The chicken was super juicy and flavorful. I just wish it had pickles and that spicy sauce. It needed that extra kick. Still, I'd get it again for sure. The Syrian-style beef shawarma was kind of a letdown. It didn't have the same punch. Maybe there was less meat, or it just didn't have enough sauce or spice, but it felt dry and kind of bland. I couldn't really taste any marinade either, which was disappointing. The garlic sauce, tahini, and pomegranate molasses were all solid. The garlic sauce especially added a lot to both wraps. The fries were really crispy and well-seasoned. I'd have those again, no question. The chocolate pistachio baklava, though, was not it. It came out warm, which was nice, but there was barely any flavor. It was just syrupy and heavy, without any real sweetness or richness. I wouldn't get that again. Would I go back? Maybe, if I was already in the area. But I wouldn't go out of my way.

Yelp
Solid looking chicken shawarma wrap -- thin, lengthy and grilled well. The taste was pretty good, you could taste the freshness, but as much as I love different sauces, this one was a bit too saucy for me, which took away from tasting the chicken shawarma itself. All in all, still a valid shawarma wrap for sure. The spot is a hole-in-the-wall with some tables and outside patio, on a very busy segment of Venice blvd. The customer service was pretty good and there is some parking in the back. When in the area, worth a try.

Yelp
I went to Dama Grill in Culver City -- such a long drive from Granada Hills -- because I kept seeing their ads all over Instagram and it looked so delicious. We got there about 45 minutes before closing, and the place was poppin'. The line was long, every seat was taken, and it was definitely a busy night. There were quite a few people behind the counter (at least five that I could see), but no one really greeted anyone or made much effort to welcome guests, which made the atmosphere feel a bit hectic. It took us around 15+ minutes to order and another 30+ minutes to actually get our food. The owner (or maybe manager) was kind, he noticed we were sitting around for a while and offered to check on our order, otherwise, nobody else was quite talkative behind the counter. By the time we were eating, the restaurant had already closed. Sadly, they were out of the chicken shawarma -- the main reason we came. We ended up ordering the chicken kabob wrap, beef shawarma wrap, and falafel. The sauces were all tasty, and even though I'm not a huge falafel person, theirs was flavorful and perfectly cooked (just a little heavy on the garlic). The wraps were okay -- the meats were tender but drenched in sauce, so it was hard to taste much else.
google avatar

Ashley P.

Yelp
Chicken kabob wrap was good with the garlic and molasses sauces but very messy. Beef schwarma was nasty to be honest we threw it away. You order on an iPad and there's really no service plus it takes a while to get your food. I am not sure if I'll return.
google avatar

Yelp
Yes this definitely the BEST wrap in town. Flavorful Fulfilling Meaningful and damn Affordable. The order kiosk was easy simple to use and the food came out so quickly with helpful team members!

Yelp
Very yummy! I tied the falafel (6 single), chicken shawarma, and the beef weekend special plate. GET THE CHICKEN SHAWARMA! It takes about 20 mins to prepare if it's busy (which it seems like it normally is). I'd also get the falafel since it comes out sooner. There's limited seating so I'd recommend takeout.

Yelp
The absolute best chicken kebab I've had in a long time. My #1 spot and I will be making my way back as soon as I can. Tip: go for the 12 inch full shawarma wrap or the chicken kebab (sandwich or with rice). The smaller 6in half wraps are not as crispy as the full 12. Check my photos to see what I'm talking about.

Yelp
Dama Grill has been on my list of restaurants to try and my boyfriend and I finally took a trip down here on a Saturday afternoon. There isn't any designated parking so it can be a nuisance. We parked across the street in a neighborhood street. The restaurant is small with limited tables inside and outside, I hurried to find an open table after we ordered our food. The restaurant is quite small and it's more of a quick eat and go rather than a stay and chat. My only complaint is the annoyance flies were while we were seated at our table. There are two kiosks to order food from, we waited about 5-10 minutes to order our food. My boyfriend ordered a Chicken Shawarma Wrap and I ordered a Kebab Chicken Plate. This place was a bit pricey, the total came out to about $50 after tips. We ordered extra garlic sauce, hot sauce, and pickles for 50 cents each. Also, my boyfriend made it a point to order the Pomegranate Sauce, confusing to me, but he told that it's "a thing". They called out our name after 20 minutes of waiting. The Kebab Chicken Plate I ordered came with 5 thick pieces of chicken breast chopped onions and parsley, fries, pickles, charred onion and tomatoes, hummus, AND two pitas! One pita was underneath the chicken, smothered in the drippings from the chicken and one was dry that came on top of the meal. I thoroughly enjoyed every part of the plate! The chicken was juicy, seasoned well, and had great char flavor. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Shawarma and don't let the "slim" size fool you, he was full after downing it with the size of fries! The chicken in the shawarma is thin shavings of chicken breast, the flavor was much smokier than my kebab chicken. The smokiness was distinct and added depth to the flavor of the chicken, so tasty! There's garlic sauce in the shawarma that added moisture to the wrap. My boyfriend gave me a bite of his shawarma and he insisted that I dip it in the pomegranate sauce. The sauce is similar to a balsamic glaze with an added pomegranate flavor. The sweet vinegar flavor really complements the shawarma. Addicting! The fries were fried well and had really delicious seasoning. It tasted like Cajun spices to me or some type of mixed seasoning. I try to stay away from fries-- but they were so good I had quite a few. Dama Grill deserves 5 stars but I took a stat off because of the difficult parking situation and the fact that we had to swat off flies continuously while we ate!!

Yelp
Their beef kofta and chicken sharma is so good! My personal favorite is their chicken sharma with their garlic sauce. Their fries are super crunchy and well done which I enjoyed as well. There's a parking lot in the back as well as some street parking on Venice. We came on a Monday night and there wasn't too big of a line, but it services was non stop all night.

Yelp
Although the food might be 5 stars, I can't give it 5 stars. The wait times are RIDICULOUS. if you know you're so popular, why can't you hire more people or do something about the wait times. As the chicken is already made, I'm not sure why a wrap takes 45 minutes to make besides too many orders and not enough staff. I've tried to even order for delivery and even there they close it down because it's too busy. But chicken is really tender and the garlic sauce they put on it gives it so much flavor!

Yelp
If you want authentic shawarma in Los Angeles, you've found the place. Went here on a Friday night with some friends and we ordered some chicken shawarma sandwiches. The staff warned us it would take 25 minutes. It was busy, but the food ended up taking almost 50 minutes to come out to us. However I will say, the food was excellent. Very authentic. From the chicken shawarma sandwich topped with pomegranate molasses and a side of garlic sauce. The fries were also a great side. I will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
The wraps are juicy and full of flavor. First time I went here, it wasn't too busy and was able to get the food quick. But, this time I went with a friend his order took 50 mins where as mine took 15. It seemed busy that day but it is crazy how my friend who ordered before me got his food so late. Hopefully they can become more consistent.

Yelp
There's limited parking in the back or street parking. If parking in the back you can walk through the store to get to the front where the restaurant is located. We came here on a weekday a little before 530pm. After we ordered the line to order was growing. There's limited tables as well. Be patience, they take some time making the food. We ordered Beef Kofta and Chicken Wrap. Both were delicious and flavored!!!! Especially dipping it in garlic sauce. Yum! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
First impression- tbh the street is a bit sketch as a girl I'd probably only go during the day Parking- there's a small lot behind the place. Food- Got the 1 chicken and 1 beef. I think the beef was the better option here. In terms of size/portion, I'm a relatively small girl but I didn't really think it was filling. I typically go to Sincerely Syria for my shawarma so I was used to their portions. I will also say I thought it was pricey for the portion size. In terms of taste, it was honestly great but the pickles they gave us were very obviously canned and not the best. Dress code- very casual Overall- I would come again but I'd order probably 2 orders of the beef shawarma

Yelp
Food is good, but what was really frustrating is that it took over an hour to get our food maybe an hour and a half. Turns out they gave our food to another customer. Then we had to wait another 30 minutes. This place got a lot of hype on social media and it is apparent that they're struggling to keep up with the demand.

Yelp
I wanted to try Dama Grill again as my first order was great. This time I tried the Chicken Wrap and it was very tasty. Love the Garlic sauce too. My only criticism is that the wrap is quite small and I could easily eat two of them. That being said I will stick with the Chicken plate in which i thoroughly enjoyed!

Yelp
Don't be fooled by the videos online, this place is overhyped and mediocre. The food is not good despite the appearance and the staff is rude as hell. We ordered 5 items and none of it had the pomegranate molasses as described. They started arguing with us saying they put it when in fact there was none. Regardless don't waste your money here the food quality is not it.

Yelp
Had lunch with my son at Dama Grill in Culver City and it was really good. The shawarma wrap was tasty and full of flavor. The place is clean, the staff was friendly, and the food came out fast. We'll definitely come back.

Yelp
Not Worth the Hype My husband and I drove from Burbank on a Friday night just to try this shawarma spot, and unfortunately, we were really disappointed. We ordered the beef shawarma wrap (extra pickles) and a side of fries. We waited about 45 minutes, which we didn't mind at first -- we figured the food must be great if it's that busy. When the fries finally came out, they had clearly been sitting on the counter for a while -- cold, hard, and flavorless. Seasoned fries should be warm and fresh, but these tasted like something frozen and reheated. We were still excited to try the wraps, but as soon as my husband opened the bag, and took a bite, I could tell from his face it wasn't good. The beef was dry and completely tasteless, with no spices, no juiciness, and no flavor at all. It was just plain beef with a ton of onions and cilantro. We asked for pomegranate sauce, which helped a little, but it still didn't fix how dry it was. I eventually tried adding garlic sauce, and while that made it slightly better, it was too late -- the wrap just wasn't enjoyable. The seating situation didn't help either. There's nowhere to sit inside, it's cramped, and the place is wedged between a smelly international store and a laundromat. To top it off, service was minimal, and we noticed an older man walking in and out of the kitchen wearing the same gloves, touching things outside, and then going back to assemble food without changing them -- not a good look for cleanliness. Overall, this place is not worth the 5-star reviews. The food was dry, flavorless, and poorly handled. We left disappointed and won't be coming back.

Yelp
The food we ordered was delicious. I would definitely order from Dama Grill again. We ordered through Door Dash as required. We made an error and ordered the same exact items twice for takeout, not even a minute apart. We tried to call. The phone #' posted for Dama goes to a different restaurant. The 818# we found goes unanswered without any message. When we picked up our order we were told both orders were made. They said, "we saw that and thought about calling you but (shrug)...both orders are made" (2nd time they said this). We took and were charged for both orders and they were both delish: we ate them over 2 days. We did explain that none of their listed phone numbers worked...that part was disappointing, they didn't call us and there was no way to contact them hence 4 instead of 5 stars.

Yelp
I drove an hour (one way) to try a chicken shawarma from Dama Grill the other day, and I'm very happy that I did because it was one of the best chicken shawarmas I've ever tasted in my life! I ordered a chicken shawarma combo which included the chicken wrap, fries, garlic spread, pomegranate sauce, a combination of pickles and chili peppers, and a soda can. From my very first bite I was amazed! Inside the wrap, the chicken shawarma is juicy and seasoned wonderfully, and with both the garlic spread and pomegranate sauce together place this wrap over the top! Even the wrap itself is prepared excellent, it was crunchy and crispy. It was so good that I had to buy another one to go! The employees were very nice, and assisted me in ordering since it was my first time there. This establishment is a fast food place and looks a little worn down, although there is ample tables and seats both inside and outside of the property for you to dine. Personally, Dama Grill could work on making the restaurant look a little more appealing, but if the quality and taste of the food continues in the way I experienced it the other day, I'm willing to look passed the ambiance. What the atmosphere lacks, is definitely a minor detail in comparison to the food served. I am a fan of Dama Grill and I look forward to the next time I'm in the mood for a good shawarma so that I can dine there again.

Yelp
Came here 4 separate times they like to "close 2 hours before the posted time they say they have no food but you can clearly see the chicken tower in the back complete waste of time the one time I had it was meh wouldn't recommend and won't ever waste my time driving here again,Garbage place fix your hours, Also why do I have to place a order on a tablet when there 2 people sitting at the front desk doing absolutely nothing

Yelp
Just wated to reiterate how amazing this Syrian shawarma is. The gentleman that runs this joint is such a kind hearted man. His smile is contagious and he puts love into the craft. I've had the pleasure of seeing this establishment grow and become what it is today. Although I loved Sahelnom I think the western diners will be able to pronounce Dama easier. A must try! Great spot for dining in as well, they have great seating area. Parking is easy too!

Yelp
The food was great, 10/10. HOWEVER, we were told that we had to wait 45 minutes for our order and no joke ended up waiting 1 hour and thirty minutes, and they weren't even that crowded. Which is fine i guess, i was hungry so i was desperate, except that orders that were after ours were getting called, and our order was fairly small. Go at your own risk.

Yelp
Dana Grill hit the spot! Ive been wanting to try this place for a while seeing it trend on tiktok! I tried the chicken shawarma wrap and it was fresh, flavorful, and generously packed. The sauce has amazing flavor, but heads up - it's a little spicy, wish I could customize that. Still, the combo of tender chicken and that sauce made it really worth it. The fries had a great seasoning and crunch as well! Definitely a solid spot if you're craving shawarma with a kick!

Yelp
poor service of the little that exists, crazy long wait time for your food despite it being a fast casual concept with no service. wouldn't wait for it again
