"Originally from Durham, Damion “Dame” Moore’s restaurant quickly became a Greensboro staple. Plenty of restaurants offer fried chicken and waffles, but the juicy chicken cutlets, fluffy waffles, and accouterments here are unparalleled in central North Carolina, if not statewide. The Orange Speckled Chabo with its sweet potato waffle and orange-honeycomb spread, is popularly paired with sides of the spicy collard greens and luscious mac and cheese." - Eric Ginsburg

"We're willing to bet that Dame's makes the best plate of fried chicken and waffles in the world. If you’re feeling like the Hungry Hungry Hippos incarnate, bring a group and get the Orange Speckled Chabo, which comes with a chicken cutlet the size of your face and a sweet potato waffle. Douse it with syrup and hot sauce, add on some spicy collard greens and mac and cheese, and you’ve got a truly excellent brunch that will definitely inspire you to take a nap. If that sounds overwhelming, you can always order wings or some excellent blackened salmon. photo credit: Mac Newell" - Eric Ginsburg

Google
Food was really good. Server was very friendly and had lots of energy. First time visiting. If you like Chicken and waffles, go and try it. I hope they impress you like they did me.

Charvene Johnson

Google
Our server, Trent, was great. My waffles with butter were EXCELLENT. The cheese grits were delicious. Now, the fried chicken, is a whole different story! It looked & tasted like it was fried in old oil. Fried chicken should be golden brown when fried in fresh oil.

Thomas Jones

Google
The food and atmosphere is great. I enjoyed my food immensely. My coworker enjoy his sweet potato waffle as well. The combinations that are available to make your meal customized to your preference is a top seller for this spot. I'll visit next time I'm in town

Google
I got chicken & waffles. I asked the waiter for my chicken to be extra crispy and it was wet & soggy. The waffle wasn’t hot or crispy. It was soggy as well. The cheese grits were okay. even though they only sprinkled shredded cheese on top. The only thing I enjoyed was the strawberry lemonade. Won’t be coming back.

Dee De Leon

Google
I would give them zero stars if I could. Burnt , dry, tasteless excuse of a fried chicken, mushy, salty and disgusting Mac n cheese, dry, rubbery waffles. I came here f because my SO wanted to try it, but I don’t consider this food eatable. We will not return.

Google
I was introduced to Dame’s many years ago and always stop in when traveling through. They consistently have the best chicken and waffles. And the smears!? I dream about them. Our service was great and I always love the jazz music playing.

Jean-Christophe Chartier

Google
Really good food and atmosphere! Our server Stacie was kind and very helpful!

Google
I was disappointed. I ordered shrimp and grits and the bowl was full of grease. There wasn’t any flavor and I couldn’t even doctor it up with salt and pepper. The manager was very accommodating and the waitress was very nice about it. I’m thinking they also need to change their grease because the chicken was super dark. The shmears were good and so was their lemonades. Maybe I will try again for breakfast or lunch and see if the food is any better.

Yelp
I had a wonderful experience at this almost-world-famous chicken and waffle restaurant. The vibe with the jazz and the atmosphere was incredible. The spot is a pretty decent size, and customer service was good. I'm pretty sure the spot gets packed on the weekends. They have a rule that your entire party must be present before getting seated.  I love the set-up of how you order if you are getting the chicken and waffles. That classic waffle is good, that sweet potato waffle is on point, and that gingerbread waffle is simply delicious. No exaggeration: all of the waffles that I tasted were really good. You also get a choice of the chicken pieces you want. I went with the three wings, fried extra crispy drizzle calypso was like barbecue, and the K-pop one was really good. The whiskey crème was also good. The maple pecan shemear was also good, but I don't know if it mixed well with my classic waffle. It was all so delicious, though.  If I'm ever in town again, I am definitely returning.

Yelp
Dine in | Brunch $ | 10-20 I miss their original Belgian Waffles !!! Food was still delicious. Would love to give their shrimp & grits a try. The vanilla almond smear was so good! Had to lower my rating due to another visit on the weekend. Their prices are marked higher for the same meal. Food: 5| Service: 5 | Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Mimi's Sassy Shrimp & Grits, Build Your Own Chicken & Waffles, Chicken & Waffles Parking space: Difficult to find parking Parking options: Free street parking

Yelp
If this was just for the food, it would be a 5, so I'll start there. Excellent food and we loved everything we got. The waffles were delicious and the chicken was cooked well. The schemers were all delicious! As for the service we came around 3-4pm and there was only one other table occupied in the building. They sat us at the very end of room under a speaker with the music much too loud. We requested another table since it was loud. It appeared to be an inconvenience but they reseated us. The hostess was quiet and we waited roughly 20 minutes after we were done eating waiting for our check, the other table had left and we were the only ones in the place. It's one thing to wait for good food, another to wait for a bill.

Yelp
Best detours sometimes lead to the best food in town. That is what happened when we had to choose another destination for lunch. So glad it directed us to Dame's Chicken and Waffles. The staff were very courteous and caring. They even helped us pack up leftovers to take back to our hotel. If you find yourself near this location, it is worth the stop

Kara M.

Yelp
I hadn't been back to Dame's since my last review (over a year ago). However, I was convinced into giving them another try. This time, the food was much better! The sweet potato waffle was yummy, the chicken was cooked thoroughly & served hot, the collards were ok- lots of stems and lukewarm. Our waitress was attentive however we noticed other staff-some in the kitchen, on their phones, which might've been the reason why we waited over 30 minutes for our food- even though the place was virtually empty when we arrived (around 5:30 on a weekday). I couldn't justify more stars due to the unnecessary wait & the fact that one of the members in my party had chicken which was not completely cooked. Better visit than last time but definitely room for improvement.

Trish B.

Yelp
Dames Chicken and Waffles is a must try and classic breakfast restaurant if you are visiting Greensboro. The restaurant is small and no frills. I got chicken and waffles since that is what they are known for and I wasn't to convinced to try many things outside of that as a main course. They have different flavored butters which is a cool touch, the waffles were good and fluffy pretty standard but the chicken was delicious crispy and well seasoned. The sides were ok. If you are craving chicken and waffles and you have time in this area it's a solid place to try. Enjoy!

Shanice B.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our time at Dame's today! It was no wait for our party of three. Our waitress was very nice and timely. The food was made fresh and was full of flavor. Although it was slightly busy we were still able to enjoy the music and conversation.

Robert N.

Yelp
Overall as a first time experience getting take out. The service was nice & friendly, the atmosphere was nice. Food wise the chicken wings needed more flavor-seasoning relying on the sauce to give it more shouldn't be the case. The waffle wasn't bad it was ok. I wish it was more crispy, and the chocolate spread was good. The cheese grits are good but it is just grits and chesse, the mac & cheese tasted good. I would try this again to see a different item. Instead of the chicken & waffles. I've heard good and bad about this place so I would give the food a 3.5 out of 5. Try for yourself & see if you like it.

Maryann C.

Yelp
Dames had been on my list since I moved to greensboro. When my friends were in town visiting, we made sure it was on the itinerary! We made a reservation since it seemed like a popular place, and found so many things on the menu that we wanted to try. I had a passion fruit mimosa and the Carolina Cockerel. I'm not a fan of spicy food, so they let me substitute the drizzle for something else. The chicken was super juicy and the Mimosa was delicious! I'm not normally a grits fan, but I tried it and was very happy with that decision. The atmosphere was generally pretty casual, but I enjoyed the jazz music being played. Service was good, no complaints there! I would definitely recommend and return!

Amy P.

Yelp
I got the barnyard honcho. My favorite part of it was the chicken and waffle. They were seasoned really well. I choose the strawberry cream shmear (butter) for my waffle. We had a great waitress. There is a small outdoor seating section. People were willing to wait 45 minutes and longer to dine here. That's a good indicator of how good the food is at a restaurant. Parking is limited due to its location so you may have to take a stroll. I would definitely go back.

Iris R.

Yelp
What can go wrong with a brunch menu built around the concept of chicken & waffles. Oh just wait for it! We visited this location on our lunch break. I was looking forward to visiting the Greensboro location of Dame's. Our wait wasn't long, our waitress took our drink and meal orders all at once. We were getting off to a good start. Then, the food arrived. Dun Dun Duuuun! Yea it wasn't what I was expecting. I ordered the Cutlet with collard greens and Mac & Cheese. The breading was dark. I mean like the oil must've been old dark. The drizzles that they offered did help cut the texture of the cutlet breading, however I was disappointed and did not finish my meal. One of my teammates ordered the chicken leg meal. Her chicken looked like it died again before being plated. Please view pics at this time. Just take a moment! Yea...those are chicken legs. We couldn't believe it either. The staff was friendly and the ambiance of the restaurant was nice. The exterior reminds me of the French Quarter in New Orleans. HOWEVER, I think that it would be in everyone's favor to focus on the food. Make it tasty and appealing to the eye not a kitchen nightmare.

LaTonia L.

Yelp
The food is fantastic. The only thing that needs improvement is the wait staff could be friendlier & the service time was too long. Overall, good food.

Carmelita T.

Yelp
Dames catering was fantastic! We had the full menu. Chicken & waffles and shrimp and grits! Classic waffles, sweet potato waffles and vegan waffles, fresh cut fruit, squash & zucchini, collard green and macaroni & cheese. They arrived on time, everything was cooked and flavored well. The staff Chris was very professional and helpful and everything tasted good! Would recommend them for your next catering event. The brought all the utensils and condiments needed.

Kendre W.

Yelp
Visited for a quick bite, because it waa highly recommended, and it was absolutely delicious, no disappointment The atmosphere was pleasant, place and bathroom clean, our server Olivia was an amazing professional delight as our server. I had, "what a classy hen with grits, with vanilla almond shmear, delicious, husband had the three wings double order of greens, which was delicious, and my twin daughter's had, "what a classy hen," as well, one with strawberry shmear and the other chocolate hazelnut shmear. Food was shmeartastic! We are very pleased. Fast, delicious seasoned magnificantly, hot food and done right the first time! Going again every chance I get! Periodt! #Shmearlyfe0

Yelp
Love this place! Always hot chicken on my waffles. The blueberry crema is a favorite! Our server was attentive and kind.

Belinda G.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. Such an experience. The music, the service, the food -ALL AMAZING The food was an absolute 10/10! Definitely worth a try if you've never been!

MB M.

Yelp
Best chicken and waffles I've ever had! Service was great. Food was great. Love the vibe and ambiance. Great little find in Greensboro!

Jasmine H.

Yelp
Came here during homecoming, place was packed so we were in and out. Definitely a good spot to hit for brunch the food is pretty good.

Nan F.

Yelp
Either make a reservation or be there before the doors open. Within 15 minutes of opening the restaurant was full...for good reason. Their motto should be "do one thing and do it off the charts!" The menu - plenty of set items, but you can also build your own with type of waffle, chicken cutlet or wings, shmears, and drizzles. Honestly you can't go wrong. Hubby ordered the Barnyard Honcho. He added the Ask Yo' Mama drizzle and it was the heat he wanted. I chose the Frizzled Fowl as described. Both dishes came out in a timely manner, coffee cups remained full (with a bold hot coffee). Midway through we decided on the Man-mosa's. I was skeptical, but dang! A great cocktail. One is plenty to start your brunch off . After all that we went full on gluttony. We wanted to try a few other shmears. We asked our server Dakota (more about her in a minute) to pick the waffle flavor and we chose four shmears , one per quarter of waffle. My favorites were the orange-honeycomb and the maple-pecan. Hubs loved the strawberry-creme as well. Now, Dakota...What a bright light to greet you on a Saturday morning. Smiling, happy, conversational, attentive but not pushy. The space can be loud, but when it's all peppered with laughter and smiles it's hard to complain. Breakfast and brunch is our favorite meal when traveling. Dame's Chicken & Waffles has risen to the 1# spot on our list. We somewhat joked that we would come back to Greensboro just for Dame's. Enjoy!

Yelp
Honestly, wished I had not visit this day. It was March 19, the wait was over an hour. I'm not sure if it was because it was a Sunday or because of people visiting for March madness. But they were out of a lot of stuff! No coffee, no cucumbers for the salad, and among other things. And we got sat by the door again haha, which I don't recommend. If you have a chance to ask for a table swap, do it! It gets chilly! Unfortunately, for us they were so packed, we couldn't be picky. The food was great, you can never go wrong with the chicken and waffles. Specially the Orange Speckled chabo , that honey Dijon mustard drizzle pairs so well, it was so good! But my number one will always be The frizzled fowl. 8/10

Quaniqua M.

Yelp
The food is so good. I love the options! The chicken is really flavorful and the waffles are a nice size. I do wish the building was bigger because it's so popular that wait times are long. The food usually comes out pretty quickly and servers are friendly. The smears are a unique touch to make their waffles stand out from other breakfast restaurants.

Brooke P.

Yelp
Dames has been a frequent of mine for over a decade now - meaning they are ever consistent and have just down right amazing chicken and waffles! It's been a while since I've dined with them so they had an entire new menu which isn't a bad thing. There are a lot more options on this menu than their previous menu. A friend and I decided to get our own plates and then split a plate so we could try a little of everything. There were components of each dish that we liked. We want panko crusted wings with k pop drizzle on a sweet potato waffle! Which is entirely possible when they serve brunch because you can build your own chicken and waffle combo! But all three dishes were amazing the way they came too. The service was great! Our waitress was super friendly and our food came out pretty fast for a group of 6. I'll definitely be back in the near future!

Melissa M.

Yelp
SMEARS- flavored butters for your waffle!! Who knew ? This trip I had strawberry, but I would order more than one if I were you! WAFFLES- the choices make it hard to pick one. The gingerbread waffle was more than yummy! WINGS- the chicken wings are some of my favorite, perfectly fried and crispy. The flavor with no sauce is delicious. However the drizzle options are all really good! BREAKFAST - for dinner is the best! Don't pass up on the sides- collard greens were very good.

Shanetra L.

Yelp
My husband and I made a reservation here on Yelp to meet some friends at Dame's. We had a party of 4 for 6:30pm on a Saturday. Thanks to the reviews on Yelp, we left ahead of time to spin the block for parking. We entered the restaurant on time but our friends were running a little late. As soon as you walk in, there's a sign that said you won't be seated if your entire party is not present even if it's just a 2 person party AND once you are seated no one can join your table. This was my first time seeing this type of seating requirement. Another thing to note is that there is very little space to wait for your party. And it was cold outside so I didn't want to wait outside. Once seated, we looked over the menu and got excited. The different schmears and drizzle options looked so appealing. We loved that it gave you the option of getting wings, drumsticks, or chicken breast. My husband love chicken and waffles but he don't get it often because he doesn't want chicken breast. I ordered the Carolina Cockerel with Maple Pecan Schmear and Whiskey Crème Drizzle with Gingerbread Waffle and cucumber salad as a side. My, my, my!!!! The wings were full of flavor all the way to the bone! The waffle with the Schmear and drizzle was so delicious, I was licking my fingers even though I was using fork. And the homemade ranch for that cucumber salad! Well, I started dipping my chicken skin in it cuz it was so good. And I may or may not have put the ranch cup to my mouth to get the last little drop out. Overall, we had a great experience! I just feel like they have outgrown their location and need better parking and a place for people to wait other than outside or in their cars.

Hannah H.

Yelp
Dames, you're one of a kind! Tucked away downtown is Dames - a staple restaurant doing chicken and waffles the right way. They have many different options for chicken from tenders, to wings to legs and a variety of waffles that is unmatched! Their service is always amazing and their staff is willing to answer any of the questions you have about their many sauces, drizzles, smears, and combos! We went with a variety of combos but there were a few favorites - the gingerbread waffle and Panko chicken with K Pop drizzle were divine. It had an umami from the soy sauce, heat from the breading and chili and sweetness from the waffle - YUM! The shrimp and grits were also really well done. The grits were thick and creamy and the shrimp and andouille sausage were spicy but not overwhelming. It's absolutely worth a visit when you're passing through Greensboro!

A A.

Yelp
Service is extremely slow. Food just ok. Nothing to rave about. The wings were crispy but the waffle FOR me was blah I like a belgian fluffy crispy waffle these waffles are soft a little too close to soggy for me. Nice location though ambiance ok. This was my second time here after at least 8 years or more.

King R.

Yelp
This is my fave joint in all of Greensboro so far! While downtown, my family told me about a chicken and waffles place that has a very good vegetarian cutlet which turned out to be Dames. I most definitely had to try it. We arrived early around noon probably 10-15 mins after they opened. I'm sure we missed the normal rush but I can tell this place is booming during the peak hours. My server who was phenomenal by the way, recommended the sweet potato waffle which absolutely slapped. I give it a 9/10. In-fact, I give them both a 9 for being on point. The What Da Cluck Chick'n Fried Cutlet wasn't bad, however I give it a 5 but I loved the Vanilla-Almond Shmear. I highly recommend both the Shmear and Waffle. I'm going back for seconds in the next few days. The next time I may switch it up and grab the ginger bread waffle. If visiting Greensboro, make your way downtown and check out Dames!

Neil L.

Yelp
Good food. Very busy at all times. Is a good atmosphere when you get in and sit down. The chicken is REALLY flavorful and good. We always like to come here, just don't like waiting 45mins every time.

Rachel M.

Yelp
Pretty good. I just mentally prepare myself for a wait whether or not I have a reservation. The last time the chicken was a little off but all the other times it was delicious. Great mimosas and sauces.

Amber S.

Yelp
Oh. My. Gawd. Yes. This is the place to go for a delicious indulgent meal that cannot be duplicated, anywhere. Get the Panko chicken, regular or gingerbread waffle and any of their flavorful butters (schmears) and sauces. Heavenly meal. Collards are a perfect, spicy accompaniment to the sweet and savory of the main dish. The service at the bar was stellar, knowledgeable, friendly, with recommendations that did not disappoint. The place is in a corner space of a cute neighborhood just north of downtown. Make reservations, get there early or plan to wait. We sat at the counter for immediate service. Cute, simple space inside. Great energy and vibe. But the food. I can't wait to go back for more. Recommended for anyone looking for a delicious, hearty, flavorful meal

Fioanna R.

Yelp
I've been wanting to go back here for awhile. Sad to say this visit was a disappointment. It all started with my waitress and her disposition. Her lackluster of service was offsetting to say the least. She seemed to disapprove of our questions concerning the drinks and refills when she cut off my friends' inquiry about which drinks were included in free refills. We continued to ordered anyway. Oh....it was $2 if you wanted your syrup warmed up by the way My waffle came out cold. My chicken wings were burnt Her shrimp and grits however were very delicious. If I returned, I would order that. .

Marissa F.

Yelp
This place was amazing!! We got the oatmeal vegan waffle which had a great texture but still light then did three drumsticks. Chicken was made very well and came out hot, very fresh! I'm not a butter person which is what the schmears are but the vanilla schmear really added to the waffle, I wanted to keep eating it. Finally we got the calypso sauce on the side and it wasn't needed but the savory combined with the sweet was a really good combo! To drink we got a tropical mimosa which had a great balance! Clearly it was good from the picture. Definitely a place to stop by!

Joe P.

Yelp
Always good food when you go to Dame's, they know what they're doing in the kitchen. They are always busy so be sure to get a reservation. The server's are hit and miss at times but the food makes up for it.

Mike O.

Yelp
I'm giving a four-star rating to this restaurant based on the excellent fried chicken and waffles. The service was really good as well and I like the atmosphere. It's kind of like being in a restaurant in New Orleans. The two items I did not like about it was the cheese grits that came as a side were pretty watery and did not have a lot of flavor. The second thing was that with the excellent chicken and waffles I had to get a commercial and cheap syrup. The advertise syrup but you have to pay extra for it. I don't use that much syrup on my waffles so I don't understand why I have to pay three bucks extra for something that they should serve with their delicious food. I would recommend this place, but if the owner see my review I would definitely recommend that they adjust the syrup issue.... Just my opinion on it.

Rebecca B.

Yelp
The food was very good. The shrimp and grits and the collard greens were just about perfect. The Mac n cheese was not a hit but our youngest ate it all up for me! The wait staff was very friendly and efficient. Ask to sit in Chloe's section and she will take care of you. The ambiance was the right amount of casual and class. I gave it a three star because the men's bathroom was disgusting and it was the opening of the day. I would have thought that it would be pristine clean. Overall great place to eat.

Marie O.

Yelp
What a great vibe here. Loud jazzy music playing in the background and good food. Love the ambiance. We split a chicken and waffle plate and I ordered an extra waffle for $8. Came with a delicious side of a sweet butter schmear. It was plenty for two people and we really enjoyed it. Chicken was tender and waffle had a great batter, little on thin side, but good. So here is my one complaint, if you're going to offer amazing gourmet chicken and waffles, don't charge almost $3 for your homemade maple syrup...why not offer a little of it on the side with the dish so it's a complete dish. We didn't want to pay extra so we used the commercial tiny to go cup syrup offered on the table and it took away from the whole experience and brought down the quality of the dish. And, (ok two complaints now) it's a pricey place, it was about over $15 for chicken and waffles and other dishes on the menu were close to $18. I've gone to James Beard awarded restaurants in Raleigh and chicken and waffles we're less pricey than they were.

Glenda D.

Yelp
First of all, the location, the look of the building and the ambiance inside, takes you back to the French quarters of New Orleans. The service from the staff is impeccable and the food is mouthwatering. The chicken is always flavorful but the highlight is the waffles and almond smear. Let's just say that Dames puts their foot in the food. A must go for breakfast or brunch.

Darren Y.

Yelp
Was expecting to be wowed here and was Meh'd The service is super friendly and got a thorough explanation of the menu. Got a sampling of waffle, wings and cutlet. Did the sweet spicy with the calypso and oh mama sauce with the peach apricot schmear. Cutlet was nice a crispy but waffle was not and didn't have much flavor - same with the wings

Willie B.

Yelp
The food was fabulous and " Ty" the server was absolutely great! The atmosphere was a good vibe!

Neechi M.

Yelp
All good - great food and loved the Prosecco with a splash of passion fruit purée (as opposed to ordering a mimosa). I sat at the bar and had a nice meal. Interesting part is that the food took longer to come than I expected but I think that's because it was fresh. Nothing was too oily/greasy etc. it was really good and if I lived here I would be back for sure.

Chelsea R.

Yelp
Dames is serving up some delicious chicken and waffles with the drizzles and the schmears. I wanted to try it all and thankfully my friends are always on board to over order. My fav was the panko chicken tendies and some of the best wings I've ever tasted.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Loved it!!!! So good. Had the sweet potato waffle with chicken cutlets and hazelnut spread. Can also get a "drizzle" on the chicken - but I just used the maple syrup on the table. Located near college - apartments, so I could see this being crowded on some days/times. Simple menus are the best!

Raya V.

Yelp
My daughter wanted to try this place when we were visiting NCAT. The vibe was so cool and the service was superb. I was disappointed because they were out of the seitan chikn and waffles (vegan) but I still got a lemonade and my daughter had her meal. She loved it. I would def return to try the vegan chikn and waffles someday.

Monica C.

Yelp
Great food! The BEST chicken and waffles around town, and dare I say in the south! This is their specialty and an institution here in North Carolina. Their smears add so much flavor to their waffles, and you get to choose the one to suit your palate. The chicken coating is perfectly seasoned and very tasty. There is a seasoning in the batter that just makes the chicken even more special and spectacular. You can get the different parts of chicken that you enjoy most. It is a great restaurant for groups; just make sure that everyone is there when you are to be seated. A wonderful restaurant to take out-of-town guests. They will love you for it. There is almost always a wait on the weekends, but it's definitely worth it.

Tiffany F.

Yelp
Went on a Saturday afternoon around 1p and it was fairly busy. We were quoted a 35-45min wait and decided to wait it. They are supposed to text you when your table is ready. After 50 minutes we went back in to get a status and while I'm still unclear about what went wrong or why we had to wait so long, it seems the system didn't go as planned and we didn't get a text but they readied our table right away and sat us. The service was quick after that and the food was really good. The place is small and the parking is a pain. They do have outdoor seating which I imagine is nice on a beautiful day.

Travis G.

Yelp
I've always enjoyed Dame's but not today. My wife made a 3:30pm reservation online 3 days in advance. One day before she received a confirmation email for that time. This was for Father's Day. When we arrived we were surprised to see a closed sign on the door but we were able to go in. The hostess said they were closed for service. We showed her our reservation and she went to talk to somebody. She came back and reiterated that they were closed. Once we got back to the car we looked online and it said they were closing at 4. If someone had done this to me only, I might forgive it, but this happened to my whole family on Father's Day. We had to scramble to find a nice place to eat. So they will never have my patronage again. There are plenty of equivalent places to eat, I'll make sure my reservations are with others from now on.

Yelp
Waiting time average about 20 minutes... Completely WORTH IT!!! You can call before heading out there to save some time from the waiting list. These are some serious Chicken and Waffles, large portions, perfect crispy chicken not greasy, not too seasoned, simply perfect. The Baryard Honcho was my favorite. A chicken cutlet, signature waffle, shmear of your choice, two eggs and grits with cheese if desired... Sooo yummmy!!! The staff very friendly, we had Bree serving us, she was AWESOME!!! Beautiful neighborhood in downtown Greensboro. Parking could be a challenge sometimes. You want a really southern brunch, this is the place... 100% recommended!!!

Yelp
Made a reservation on yelp the night before but it needed to be verified by the restaurant.. The next morning, they verify it. Why do we show up for the reservation and they're closed??? We ended up getting their attention to understand because we were absolutely flabbergasted. They come telling us we must be thinking of Friday since they close earlier during the week... It's one thing to admit a mistake but to put it back on me is insane. Hopefully they update their hours on yelp so that their last reservation occurs BEFORE closing. Had to celebrate my graduation with my family at Texas Roadhouse instead and skipped breakfast that morning just to never get waffles either... Bummer.
