Dan and John’s is an excellent spot to put on wings sampler list when traveling in NYC. The wet sauce inferno the second hottest isn’t bad at all. Next time we will try the insane. The dry run were also excellent.

Simply the best wings around, especially for delivery. Consistently delicious and hits every time. Plump and juicy without breading and the sauce is just the right amount of heat. Even on football Sundaysnthey still manage to have a quick delivery.

This place is great. It is buffalo themed. There is lots of seating and it is clean. The beer on tap and other drinks are good in variety and quality. The chicken is AMAZING. They cook good sized chicken wings (not too big or small) to crispy perfection and sauce them up with some of the best buffalo sauce I have ever had. If you like buffalo wings I promise you will not be disappointed after you eat here. The prices are reasonable for Manhattan. I wish I could eat here more!

Great service. Clean environment. Food was tasty just wish the fries didn’t come soggy. They were still pretty good but i prefer crunchy or well cooked.

Best wings I’ve had. So big and juicy with just the right amount of heat zing and sauce served with loads of tubs of blue cheese sauce should we run out! Loved this place!

Came here on two occasions, these wings are very good, nice size. Are hot, all the sauces I have tried have been really good ( sweet chili, sweet BBQ, BBQ, honey mustard) Mozzarella sticks were hot and good.

The waiter was lovely. The wings are really good, best ones in the city so far. A true WING! A fun bar spot with college vibes for a quick bite and beer. The sides were terrible, fried too hard too fast and a waste of money. You can't order a 20 piece with different flavors so I had to order 5 piece individually instead; that's not wong culture! You can ALWAYS split flavors! And for the price, it should not cost extra. Also, I think they should have a hostess/cleaner and waitress on staff at all times. She was serving us, taking out the trash and sweeping. Very nice and attentive lady, I wanted to help her because it was unsanitary. I chose to wait for her to finish with the trash before I asked for something else because she would stop mid trash to help others. For such a high traffic area, it doesn't matter how the crowd fluctuates, it should be 2 people out front. I took off a star for the mozzarella sticks and onion rings which were crispy outside and undercooked inside and another because they were understaffed.

A Buffalo Bills bar in NYC with plenty of fans and wings to make you feel at "home" without having to scrape your car off and dig it out. The Bills game was on every television and they played the Bills version of the Shout song on every score! It is also family friendly! I was there with my young niece and nephew. There was another Buffalo-loving family there as well. Lots of long picnic tables for group hang and socialization. Service was great. They were pretty busy slinging drinks and serving wings, but so calm and kind. They also brought out free chilled tequila shots to celebrate the victory. The menu is super simple, wings (bone-in and boneless) in a variety of flavors. They also had French fries, chicken sandwiches, and a few other things, but the Buffalo wings were the star feature. If you have picky eaters or are looking for that culinary epiphany, this is not the NYC spot. This is pure fun for socialization and camaraderie. Highly recommend if you are a sports fan, but especially a Buffalo fan.

What happens when 2 blokes from the 716 come to the 212? Good wings of course. These are probably some Of the most authentic wing experience you'll get in nyc! Good service, and a wide open low frills picnic table style interior. Come by and tell them you want all flats or all drums and fried extra hard and saucy and enjoy the most authentic experience you'll get in nyc I bet!

Fun and chill place to grab wings! This just happened to be in the area for my group of 7 friends but it's a great place to go for some no frill wings or for a great hangout spot with a lot of people. Long tables that are perfect for big groups. Food was good and good prices as well. Filing this place in my head as a good hangout spot for big parties :)

I'm a big fan of Dan and John's and this location is great! The staff is super friendly and kind, the food and beer is delicious and the space has more than enough seating. I loved when they were running Trivia Tuesdays in 2023 but it seems like that might've been cancelled in 2024. Would love to see it return soon - as it was a great, weekly excuse to drop in and order some wings!

Came for a 90s Nickelodeon trivia night! First of all, for a Tuesday night, this place was JAM-PACKED with millennials looking to prove their nostalgic passion and memory. Looks like this place holds some sort of trivia every Tuesday night. It's cozy yet spacious at the same time and the setup is lots of communal tables and benches, with a few two-person table setups scattered about. Two bathrooms in the back. I got the combo deal with 5 wings, fries and a drink and I was filled and satisfied. The wings and fries are solid; no complaints. I got lemon pepper, and to all my lemon pepper tribe out there, as another reviewer mentioned, it's not a dry-rub, but still crunchy nonetheless. This place has beers, wine, and a few basic cocktails on the menu, though I didn't imbibe. Also, the staff is SO down-to-earth and friendly, and they were quite liberal pulling raffle tickets that offered free drinks and merch. I would return to this place just off vibes alone.

Dad and John's newest location, on the border of southeast Chelsea and the northernmost part of Greenwich Village, is a hit--and it's only just opened. As you walk through the door, you'll be greeted by a giant taxidermy buffalo noggin--the first one for a D and J. Similar to their other locations, walls are decorated with Buffalo sports and cultural memorabilia, bathrooms are pinned with current NYC sports headlines from local newspapers, and there are even some awesome running buffalo herd murals in the hallway. Notice a theme? For the uninitiated, the eponymous friends from Buffalo serve the best hot wings in the city, perfected over the better part of a decade, from their Smorgasburg days in Williamsburg to the storefront locations in East Village, Murray Hill, and Downtown Brooklyn. The wings, when ordered correctly (regular/hot/blue cheese with a side of hash browns) are sublime and unmatched in the city. In fact, in my travels through Buffalo, D and J stands up to even the most storied institutions of the City of Light. Of course, there's plenty of other "right" ways to order wings--for the intrepid there's the inferno-grade spice level, and for the reckless, devil-may-care crowd, looking to meet the challenge, there is the "insane wing." And for normal humans there's a variety of American comforts: tots and fries, pizza logs and mozzarella sticks, fried pickle chips, fried mac n' cheese bites, zucchini sticks, and more. Wash it all down with any of their variety of draft beers (enough to please beer nerds/sports bros/hipsters alike) and a unique lineup of Resurgence Brewing (Buffalo brewery) cans. Cocktails are coming soon and there are hard seltzer and cider options too. Come check it out during the soft opening--an awesome place to watch the NBA playoffs, football season, March madness, and more.

Overall decent nothing bad to say about the place but nothing extravagant. cozy little local spot with TVs all around. Definitely perfect to meet with friends for basic food. Mac & cheese bites were awful, tasted like Kraft and then just fried. No cheese factor. I expected the wings to have been a dry rub, but they were saucy, OK slightly lemony. But they definitely have a great crunch to them. As for service you walk up your order you pick up you sit down where you want

I ended up here while waiting for the bus and being enticed by trivia with wings. I'm so glad I took the bait. The staff was super nice. Drinks were strong, yet tasty and the food was delicious. I went with 10 bone-in wings plain with the best sauces (garlic parmesan was my favorite) on the side. Everything was fried to perfection, hot and crisp, not greasy at all. I'll definitely be back!

Wings just like those in Buffalo. Nice selection of beer as well. While there in NY City we were able to watch the Bills preseason game. Other patrons were wearing Bills shirts and even zubaz pants.

Came in and ordered takeout. I got a chicken tender combo. I went to eat it on my way home and the tenders were super soggy and drenched in sauce. My tater tots were a bit soft as well but fine. I called back to ask if I could have the tenders remade or get wings instead and Eric over the phone rudely said no and that he could only offer an apology.

I've had D&J on the east side so I was excited to find they opened one in my hood. I place an order at 2pm on a Friday expecting spicy hot wings at my door in 30-45 minutes. An hour later I checked my order status and delivery time was slated for 5:15-5:35 PM!?!?!? Turns opt Yelp neglected to list that the joint "soft opens" at 4pm, which, in plain English means, "around 4-ish, maybe" So, if the wings are anything like the east side location, you're in for a treat after 4-ish...but I wouldn't know because despite all the revenue Yelp receives from me, they still can't seem to measure twice and cut once. 4 stars for D&J based on street rep 1/2 star for Yelp based on they screw3d the pooch AGAIN... ...did I mention I'm cranky when I'm hungry?

Always a good time here! Good wings, plenty flavors, and great beers. Perfect for watching a game with friends.

I've been to the other Dan and John's locations and this is no different. If you want authentic buffalo wings in NYC this is the place. Dan is an awesome owner who really cares about his customers to make sure they are enjoying their wings. Excellent service, awesome sauces. I will continue to frequent his locations when I'm CRaving for real wings. Hats off to them and their employees.

Came here for a Bills game and the vibes were impeccable. And the wings were great--medium wasn't packing much heat so I'll probably do hot next time. Bonus was the free shots for everyone when the Bills won!

Stopped in here for the bathroom and a drink and loved it! It is a Buffalo / Buffalo Bills bar! It is an intimate setting perfect for groups to eat, drink, and watch a game. Limited selections, but I was pleased with what was offered.

Highly recommend, very tasty and lots of sauce options for those opposed to classic!!

Great wings! Service was good. Several options between spicy and bbq. Definitely one of the best wings spots in Manhattan.

Garlic Parmesan wings was so delicious. I would choose them over wing stop any day. Service was to be picked up, ready when I got there. Now I want to try all the flavors.

it's hard to review a wings place in the current inflationary environment. this place makes very tasty wings. but they are absurdly expensive. and they are just buffalo wings--although perfectly executed. is that worth the price? sometimes you just need wings. also a note--this isn't a "bar" more of a fast food counter with TVs. annoyingly, they serve their very expensive beers in plastic cups.

if you come here do not get garlic parmesan. it was so strong in a bad way and we could barely eat it. ranch made it more bearable but this flavor was awful. food came quick though
