"This Aurora restaurant is for those looking to expand their Vietnamese horizons beyond phở and bánh mì. The menu is loaded with comforting, flavor-packed family recipes from three sisters whose parents opened one of Denver’s first Vietnamese restaurants in the '80s. Inside, a wall-to-wall mural of a woman wearing a nón lá looks over tables digging into simmering clay pots filled with steamed cherrystone clams laced with chiles, garlic, and lemongrass sauce, and proteins like pork belly or catfish. On most tables you’ll see Dan Da’s most popular items: triple-tiered towers with grilled meats, seafood, and fried fare served with fresh herbs and veggies, rice noodles, and other fixings to wrap your own spring rolls. And don’t overlook the salads, which are tossed in an umami-rich dressing and topped with crunchy sesame seeds and crushed peanuts." - Patricia Kaowthumrong

"Elaborate towers laden with copious ingredients for DIY spring rolls are reason enough to gather the troops at this self-styled purveyor of “Vietnamese comfort cuisine” — but there’s so much more on the extensive menu for a group to dig into with abandon, including steamed clams with chili-lemongrass sauce, heaping salads, hot-and-sour firepots, and whole fried fish." - Ruth Tobias

"The much-missed Savory Vietnam has happily been reincarnated as this instant sensation on East Colfax, whose snug dining room bustles at all hours with families and friends digging into DIY spring roll platters and clay pots featuring catfish or pork belly and bamboo shoots. As favorites go, front-runners include ốc len xào dừa (periwinkles in lemongrass-coconut sauce); áp chảo xào thập cẩm (rice cakes with beef, chicken, and shrimp in oyster sauce); deep-fried whole sea bass in ginger sauce; and the tequila-based Salty Pickled Lime Spritzer to wash it all down." - Ruth Tobias, Eater Staff

Google
5 stars for this place no doubt. The owner is very very nice. The most important is the foods are amazing.authentic taste. We were in the other world. Probably the top restaurants in Denver. Many times come back more . Love it so much

Google
This place is absolutely delicious. Same chief from Savory Vietnam and she nailed it once again. More focus on smaller menu and taste even better. Can’t say enough but the food here is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is very nice as well. Well worth it you want to eat some Vietnamese food. Cost a little more but the quality of the food and plating is worth it. Great customer service as well make sure to reserve a seat as this place does get busy!

Google
This is really good comfort food. The dishes all look really great too. Be careful not to over order. The portions are huge and I wish we had ordered only 2-2.5 for our part of four

Best birthday dinner ever! We went to town and got one item from every section. Highlights: Tamarind snail! Never had it before and they were so well done here. My family was so delighted to say they tried them. Coconut clay pot (w scallops) was excellent, perfect flavor texture and we loved things like the lotus added. We enjoyed the DIY spring roll tower, though it was definitely a sticky experience so get ready to dig in.

I was really excited to try this restaurant after hearing nothing but great things and reviews. The interior is beautifully designed, and there's plenty of parking in the back, so I wouldn't recommend parking on Colfax. The service was very nice, and they have a great selection of drinks, some of which are incredibly creative. I ordered the combination plate and the pork rolls, and the fish sauce was really good. However, the tables are quite small, and the plates are large with impressive presentation. I found the pricing to be on the higher side, and while the food was okay, the chicken was a bit overcooked, and the rolls were slightly too done. The flavors were delicious, though! I also ordered a Thai tea, and I wasn't expecting matcha to be in it, so just a heads up! It has a great flavor but quite a bit of caffeine.

Dan Da is LEGIT. If you're used to typical Vietnamese restaurants in the Denver area, this is a great, modernized, step up. It's like the kids took over the family biz and finally are doing all the things the parents had hoped and dreamed of. Coming from family restaurant royalty (New Saigon), Dan Da brings VIBRANT flavors that's more than just Pho and noodle bowls, but also does the essentials very well, imagine a Flintsone's sized beef rib sticking out of your pho bowl! If you're looking to try something new, highly recommend the Thit Kho, very much like a Taiwanese "3 cup chicken" but with pork. Maybe the best dish I have had in 2024. WOW! Did I mention the spring rolls are 🔥🔥🔥 Go go go, eat eat eat!

Dan Da literally lives up to its name. Each bite of our food brought that feeling of warmth, comfort, and togetherness. Our server Petra added to the experience with his friendly personality and attention to our needs. We loved going to New Saigon, but it was feeling a bit tired before it closed. Dan Da brings a fresh atmosphere while elevating our favorite Vietnamese dishes.

Always looking for the newest Vietnamese Restaurant. This one was recommended by a friend, and she sure hit the nail on the head. Ended up ordering Take out and once again. Great job 👏🏾

Yelp
I really wish my friends and I came here earlier in our trip to Denver; we came our last afternoon before flying out expecting something soupy, like pho, since we all felt tired and sickly. We were surprised that the restaurant did not serve pho when we saw the menu! But that's okay, because everything else on the menu sounded delicious. I encountered the restaurant while browsing on Yelp and saw the wait time was at least 45 minutes and I couldn't add myself to the list until I am within one mile from the restaurant. With so many good reviews, I couldn't resist. I added myself to the wait list at the one mile mark and the time was still 45 minutes, however, when we arrived at the restaurant, there were still some open tables in the middle. A gentleman, he seemed like the manager/owner, greeted us and asked us to wait a few minutes as he cleans the table and sets them up together to make one big table for us. The restaurant itself looked very modern, clean, welcoming. As soon as I saw the menu, I knew it was one of those restaurants packed during dinner time for shareable food items and alcohol. This was why I wished we had come here during one of our nights in Denver. Some of us ordered Bun Rieu, one rice dish, and one Bun Bo Hue. We wanted to order some escargot, but we were told they have not received a new shipment in due to the holidays. We ordered lemongrass clams instead, which was still really good. I asked for less spicy, but the server told me they can only make it spicier, not less spicy, however, I thought the spice level was perfect as someone who cannot tolerate spicy. I really enjoyed the lemongrass flavor with butter, scallion, and shallots, it really paired well with the clams. I can't imagine how flavorful the escargot would be! I was very surprised by how much the Bun Rieu had, two gigantic meatballs made with crab, some sort of cha, fish cakes, the broth was perfect, they even gave us mam tom without us asking so you know they know what they're doing. I love dipping my bun rieu toppings in mam tom on the side to get that stinky/fishy saucy taste. My friend said the bun bo hue was good as well. The rice dish had so much in it, my boyfriend could barely finish his meal. My friends and I felt bad that we couldn't finish all of our food and was not responsive whenever the server came by to check up on us, but we all felt very tired and sickly that morning. I keep thinking about how much I wanted to finish my food, especially those flavorful clams! If I ever visit Denver again, this restaurant will be my top restaurant to visit! I would love to try other menu items such as escargot, banh trang cuon, some of the goi items, and more clams! I highly recommend stopping by! Also, order their lychee limeade and Vietnamese coffee as well!

Yelp
Very solid (although pricey) place for authentic viet food. It's tastes like your aunt's cooking, but the aunt that actually knows how to cook. Ca kho to (claypot fish) was flavorful and comforting, although on the salty side. It comes with rice to help balance out the salt. Bo la lot (beef wrapped in betel leaf) was delicious and simple. Wanted to try the bo ne but was informed it's only served during weekday lunch, so I guess I'll have to come back another time! Staff was friendly. Restaurant was clean. Plenty of free parking in the lot behind the restaurant that is accessible thru both side streets.

Yelp
We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon before a show across the street at the Aurora Fox. We had 12:30 reservations and were promptly seated. Thankful for the reservation as the place filled up quickly and became quite bustling, full of families large and small. Even the bar counter was full in a matter of minutes. We started with the Shrimp & Crab rolls (AP9) along with the Mussels Skillet (BF1). Both were delicious and would recommend for a full table to share. For our entrees, with some guidance & recommendations from our server, hubby got the Curry Claypot (TS10) and I the Pork Lemongrass (CP5). WOW! I felt like I was experiencing Vietnamese food for the first time. The meat was melt in your mouth tender and the veggies fresh and cooked perfectly. I commented to my husband even how the potatoes in his curry made his dish because of how perfectly cooked they were. We ate as much as we could and boxed up up enough for 2 meals for us to eat later in the week. No room for dessert this time but will definetly be back and try more on their menu.

Ashwin P.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch and had a fantastic experience! The service was amazing and the food was even better! The flavors and freshness of each and every dish were amazing. Highly recommend the tofu coco curry for vegetarians.

Yelp
My introduction to Vietnamese food was bahn mi sandwiches & pho which both definitely became my favorites. BUT I had no idea what I was missing out on. Dan da focuses on Vietnamese comfort food and they do it in the best way. Located in Aurora, this new-ish place hit it out of the park. Every bite I had was great and i always love trying a dish that I've never had before. what I ordered: fried soft shell crab, steamed baby clams, Dan da tower, whole deep fried fish, curry clay pot best bite: I loved everything I tasted but was amazed at the deep fried fish. It was full of flavor and "pull off the fish" meat PLUS the sauce was fantastic. The Dan da tower was a lot of fun since you get to could your rolls at your preference. Overall, I was very impressed. They were welcoming, innovative, and showed a deep care for serving great food. I can't wait to go back!

Inne P.

Yelp
Food was spectacular. Very flavorful. The service was top notch. And the ambiance very nice. There is a beautiful mural on the wall.

Darnell W.

Yelp
Yes please!! Great food, amazing flavors, good sized portions and fantastic service. Two thumbs up. Would go back again and again!

Shruti J.

Yelp
Excellent service.. very quick too! Food was good, lot of variations to try if you are open to it of course. Especially liked the lemongrass pork. They don't have a dessert menu but get bakery items from their sister bakery next door - wish they actually had desserts! I really like the Vietnamese hats on the wall near the entrance.

Natalia S.

Yelp
Chef An Nguyen of Dân Dã was actually the owner of Savoury Vietnam before this, and her parents ran New Saigon for decades before it was sold to its last owners -- so it's great to see her open this concept in 2024, when we saw both of the aforementioned Denver mainstays recently close. Things we tried (and devoured) included steamed cherrystone clams, soft shell crab, a DIY roll / appetizer tower, whole fried seabass, scallop coconut curry, and one of the soups (maybe the bun bo hue). Yum to all of it! Great service too! Love the friendly staff here and their willingness to explain or make suggestions.

Daniel L.

Yelp
Wow-thanks fellow Yelpers for finding this new gem!Such amazing flavors, great service, and a pretty restaurant. The spring rolls are an absolute MUST ORDER! Two per order and OMG fresh! The beef dishes we tried (TS1 and TS6) were both very strong flavors and served with rice. They had a good amount of pepper and the ingredients were top notch. This is among the best Vietnamese we've ever had. Enjoy!

Gi K.

Yelp
As someone that loves Asian Food, and deprived of good Asian Food in Denver: I can confidentely share that this restaurant is now my go to place to get my vietnamese food cravings satiated. I can not express in words how much I love their lotus root salad and their curry. If I could, I would get it on a daily basis. For my partner, he loves their clay pot dishes such as the pork in shrimp pastes that he chose to come to this restaurant for his birthday dinner. Their drinks are refreshing and love the atmosphere. recommend and worth every penny

Yelp
Denver is becoming a great foodie haven with the small ethnic neighborhood restaurants sprouting up around town. Dan Da is a new style Vietnamese with an innovative twist to an old staple. The owner of Dan Da was a familiar site in his families' Vietnamese restaurant in Denver years ago. His restaurant Dan Da, serves delicious Vietnamese dishes with a twist on presentation. This fresh outlook means this is not your grandmother's family restaurant. The facility is clean, crisp and modern in appearance The staff is very knowledgable with the dishes and traditional Vietnamese entrees. Here is the switch, they have a seafood style tower for Vietnamese dishes that are interactive and a build it on your own concept, if you want. A brilliant idea to have the guest in this space build their own delicious wraps or meals, table side. A tower of 4 entrees can be ordered and arrives tableside complete with noodles, herbs, lettuce, pickled veggies, beansprouts, cucumbers, peanuts, fried onions, sauces, your chosen proteins and a dip your own rice paper rapper. Instructions and assistance are provided if needed. We ordered the four proteins: marinated beef, lemongrass grilled pork, grilled and seasoned shrimp and shrimp paste. You select your protein or multiple proteins and wrap them with any of the other ingredients you desire. You then soak your rice paper wrapper and seal up the ingredients like a spring roll. If you just want a salad with the ingredients that is your choice also. Each of the entrees we selected were huge flavor bombs that blew us away, delicious. We were hesitant about the shrimp paste but found it to be delicious too. The 4 entree tower easily feed 3 people for $35. A steal and the food will knock your socks off with flavor. It was some of the best Vietnamese food I've ever had and fun to build your own spring rolls with others. My spring rolling needs some work but the taste was incredible. If you don't want try this style, they still offer bun chow, clay pot entrees, salads, soups and rice bowls. It was a great afternoon of delicious entrees and other ingredients wrapped in rice paper or eaten like a salad. To the owners, you made this fun, interactive and you serve delicious food. On the next trip to Denver, we will be dragging friends here for a scrumptious meal and adventure. GREAT JOB!

Yelp
Was so happy to be able to get in on Friday without a reservation but the place is poppin so I highly reccomend making a reso. The service was good it felt family owned and ran, the food was incredible. It felt elevated and was rich in flavor. The presentation of all of the dishes running through the restaurant was fun to see! Will definitely be going back as soon as possible!

Mel C.

Yelp
Passing through Denver and decided to stop by at this Vietnamese eatery for a late lunch. Love the paintings on the wall, and it's such a bright and pleasant dining environment. The food is very on point. It's very satisfying. I appreciate the presentation of the dishes. They put some thoughts into it. However, I always feel that Vietnamese cuisine is a little bit too sweet for me. The neighborhood is a little bit questionable, just a little bit. I also like they explain on the wall how to pronounce the name of the restaurant and what it means, or I wouldn't imagine it saying it as "young-ya",not in million years! I would definitely like to try other dishes next time I am in town.

Souzana V.

Yelp
What another amazing and delicious second time here. The service was good and the food took a little long to come out. The ambiance is nice and casual. This place is very busy! I highly recommend to rsvp! I did it through Yelp and my rsvp was legit. It was my family's first time and my second time. We all really enjoyed the food. All the dishes are very distinct and flavorful. I got a chance to talk to one of the owners as I was checking out and that was fantastic. He and the other BIL are married to the two sisters and the 4 of them own this place. The next door bakery is owned by another sister. I and the family will be coming back again.

David F.

Yelp
Great experience. Newly remodeled and recently re-opened as a new restaurant in the Aurora/Colfax area. A fresh looking restaurant. Good service with friendly servers. Let's get serious, how was the food? Glad you asked. We had four people and shared clay pot chicken, lettuce wrap noodles, salad and vegetables, plus spring rolls with tofu and peanut sauce, and the 4th dish was fried tofu in sauce with meaty black mushrooms. Every food item was very tasty as well as all items had generous portions and no one left the table hungry. The price......... very reasonable. Yes, I'm coming back and please leave me a table.

Calie H.

Yelp
From the start of our phone conversation, I knew this place will not be a let down. I called to make last minute reservation. Khai was very accommodating and able to save a table for us. And I am so glad he did. They were packed when we arrived. After a long day hiking, we were craving for some comfort Vietnamese food. My oh my, every dish were freshly made with top quality ingredients. Perfectly cooked. I love the family style dishes, the combo salad, the garlic butter escargot, refreshing drinks... I promise you will love this place as much as I do if you are wanting Vietnamese food. They definitely pride in their cooking and it shows. Can't wait til our next visit.

Joanna C.

Yelp
The food was sooooooo delicious. I have never had these types of vietnamese foods before so I dont know if the entrees are authentic or not, but the beef and lemongrass pork were both so flavorful. They paired very well with the rice. This place is a bit smaller so it may be a long wait if its busy. The service is good, it can be a little slow, but they're very friendly. It was a little slow because it looked like one server was covering the entire floor. We weren't in a rush so it didnt really bother us. I would 1000% come back here. The menu is pretty big and theres so much I want to try.

Tylor N.

Yelp
Today I tried to give them another chance. They denied to serve because I wrote them one single bad review, not that review was not all bad when I praised their food but criticized their pricing policy and the way they treated me in the past. Notice how their menu is changed multiple times, and the no-refill policy were never mentioned in any of the old menu, and now they blame the customer for questioning the policy change without notifying. Good luck operating the business this way.

Kate L.

Yelp
What a gem! Such great flavors and wonderful service - will definitely be back. Started with a nice spring roll followed by lemongrass clams that were very well prepared. Next husband went for pho and I got clay pot lemongrass seafood curry - delicious! We were impressed with both flavors and presentation. Glad we found this place.

Melanie T.

Yelp
I'm really glad New Saigon and Savory Vietnam can continue into Dan Da now. The food is still delicious. There are some new editions along with the fan favorites. I recommend the Bun Cha Ha Noi or the Bo la lot. It's a juicy patty dipped in sauce and beef wrapped in betel leaf. It's probably my favorite dish that I tried. The escargots were also delicious and tasty. We ordered it with the spicy sauce but it wasn't spicy. Definitely have to try the garlic butter next time with the snails. The salads are pretty good. Definitely get the one with the shrimp chips and seafood pork belly option. It tastes better than the jellyfish chicken salad. Clay pot fish are nice. You get a nice serving of food per dish so family style is encouraged. They just opened so the crowds were insane. On a Thursday night, not many people are working from the floor to the kitchen. Friday was better with more staff and if you can, call ahead of time and make a reservation to skip the line. I think they're still getting used to the flow of things. One night, we didn't get a dish we ordered cause they forgot to put it in. The next time, we got the wrong salad. Definitely check your receipts. They're nice enough to fix the error but be aware that things like this can happen. Colorado definitely needs more Vietnamese restaurants that actually serve Vietnamese dishes that go beyond pho and the basic rice dishes. There are barely any in Denver now that new Saigon and savory Vietnam closed so expect long wait times and crowds.

Catherine C.

Yelp
We had a great dinner at Dan Da tonight. Delicious Bun Bo Hue, fried catfish, lemongrass clay pot pork and a pho special they did tonight because it is so cold. Service was great. Parking behind the building. We will be back.

Ekshika P.

Yelp
YES YES YES Just finished a meal here and I am SO happy about this new restaurant! it's delicious. We walked in and put our name on the waitlist for 3 people on a Friday night and the wait was over an hour. However they had 3 spots open at the bar and were able to seat us right away! Started off with drinks, the tamarind mule was the best one! Appetizers we got the grilled mussels which were a 7/10. I liked them a lot but they weren't cooked the same throughout. Some were very chewy, while others were perfect and soft. The toppings and sauce were not evenly dispersed so some tasted a lot better than others. Overall, the best one I had was probably a 9/10 though. Sauce, fried onions, and green onion oil on top was soooo good. For mains, we got the chicken curry (9/10) fried catfish (7/10), and tofu stir fry (8/10). All of these were amazing, perfectly seasoned, well balanced, and SUPER flavorful. I have no complaints about any of them other than I wish the curry was a bit spicier. We had a lot of leftovers too, portions are pretty generous and we probably could've gone without one of the dishes. Recommend doing family style so you can try everything! This is definitely one of the top 5 restaurants I've been to in Denver. I really enjoyed the lively vibe, loud music, and full interior. I would definitely come back with a friend for a fun evening with drinks and catching up. The prices are high, it's an expensive meal forsure, however I think it's worth it!

Dalina H.

Yelp
Vegan dishes are served here and they have Wi-Fi. Chef here is the same from Savory Vietnam and she's doing the damn thing. Focus here is more on smaller menu and everything tasted amazing. Food is more pricy than typical Vietnamese restaurants. Service was mediocre.

Vickie M.

Yelp
Food is really tasty. We like everything we ordered. Service is great. Staffs are friendly. It's a great restaurant to get some yummy food. Highly recommend it!

Song H.

Yelp
Impeccable service, very tasty food, excellent presentation and very fresh. We were pleasantly surprised at the strong but refreshing flavors. The starter was a shrimp, pork belly and papaya salad with a fish sauce and lots of lemony lime tartness. We followed that with spring rolls and dipping sauce. For the main dish, we got a large family seafood hotpot and it was chock full of large pieces of fish, scallop, shrimp, beef, pork, and an assortment of vegetables. Rice noodles with the broth had the perfect consistency and we asked for more noodles and it was happily supplied. Special mention was the lady who kept our iced water pitcher full (2 times) and supplied extra napkins. She was so efficient! Overall a great experience and quality meal. This is on the highly recommended list!

Sabrina H.

Yelp
I'm bringing in food for my son and me while he is in the hospital, and this restaurant is one of the closest on my "must try" list in Denver, so this week I decided to order takeout. I didn't order much, just the spring rolls and the Bo Luc Lac. The flavors and sauces of everything were so delicious! The beef was grilled and had the most beautiful glaze sauce, served with rice and a super lush salad. There were several pieces that were too fatty to chew, but the rest was so good he ate it all in one meal! I am saving (according to me) the best for last. The Cha Gio with pork were to die for. I wanted them with shrimp too, but kept it simple for our first meal. The egg rolls came with a whole large to-go container FILLED with fresh and pickled vegetables and herbs. Even using it for every roll, there was plenty to put in a salad the next day. The interior is busy, but warm. In the restaurant, the fixings for dishes come out on tiered servers. One item I cannot order while we are only doing takeout is the do-it-yourself spring rolls. The menu is extensive, and while we have to eat at as many of the places on the list as possible, I see Dân Dã as a once-a-week meal.

Sarah H.

Yelp
I'm not a huge fan of Vietnamese food, generally speaking. I like a bowl of Pho or a Bahn Mi every now and then, but it's not a go-to option. That said, the offerings here are very different from those I've seen at most Vietnamese restaurants. And I've enjoyed everything I've tried so far. Service is excellent and I'm super happy to see they are open for lunch and dinner on Sundays as my mother and I regularly go to matinees at the local theaters and SO MANY places are closed on Sundays. They've done a fantastic job with the dining room as well. They kept the format of the Pierogies Place before them but made it more comfortable. And they do Vietnamese coffee the right way with a drip over the cup. Yummm.

Alexanria J.

Yelp
Very delicious vietnamese fusion restaurant. Great service and modern atmosphere with limited seating. Highly recommend making reservations in advance. The location is a bit inconvenient with pretty limited parking, recommend carpooling.

Haleh M.

Yelp
DELICIOUS FOOD!!!! My first time getting Vietnamese food that wasn't pho and I can't stop thinking about it. The service was incredible. They adjusted their seating for our party which was really nice! It was a little loud but that's really because the whole place was filled. Lots of food options and a great spot to go for families or for a date night

Katie A.

Yelp
Great spot with Vietnamese owners. Some fun drinks on the menu and lots of authentic dishes including different types of bun and pho. So good! Restaurant seemed clean and had a good amount of people there, not overly crowded. Def would go back.

John L.

Yelp
Decent flavors that, unfortunately, get held back from greatness by way too much sugar. Service was not great, but that could be forgiven based on how busy they were. The restaurant is beautiful on the inside, but I really dislike the part of town that it's located in. Of all the places in the greater Denver area, why open on Colfax near Havana? The location alone gives me pause, and I know plenty of people that just won't do it regularly. You had to have grown up around that area, like I did, to understand. Let's talk more about the food. Everything is hyper sweet. The egg rolls were so tasty, except for the super sweet stickiness. The fish sauce could have been better balanced with heat and a bit more lime juice. I really liked the soft shell crab, and I want to say it was beer battered. The DIY roll tower was really annoying to deal with because it was kind of hard to access all the food, but the worst part was the lack of veggies. There were like 5 small pieces of lettuce for like 10+ rolls. I'm sure if i asked for more veggies, then they would have brought it out, but they were busy and we did not want to wait. They should just bring out a bunch of veggies. If there could be 10 rolls and you want to be stingy with lettuce, then count out 10 large pieces of lettuce. Noodle bowl with grilled meat was actually fine and not too sweet. Chicken wings, covered in sticky sweet sauce that was... too sickly sweet. The canh chua could have been amazing with a lot of edits and with a lot less sweetness. It was missing okra, it had jalapeños instead of Thai bird chilies, and it should have used pineapples for natural sweetness and cut the other sugar by at least 50%, if not more. In spite of the horrid amounts of sweetness, the flavors that were achieved were actually really nice. This would easily be 5 stars if they just got rid of all the sugar and focused more on being true and authentic with more abundance of herbs and veggies.

Joelle L.

Yelp
Delicious food and with a diverse menu where you'll find some dishes that you won't find too often in town. I am so glad the culinary team from Savory Vietnam is still cooking up some delicious Vietnamese food. I definitely need to come back and sample more of their menu. I loved getting to eat the build your own spring roll plates again and trying the Bun Rieu during my visit. Everything was delicious and fresh, so no complaints from me. It can get busy during dinner but I didn't find that it was hard to get a table on a weekday. There is also a parking lot behind the restaurant.

Terry I.

Yelp
A delightfully bright, fresh, and clean little restaurant that serves up delicious Vietnamese cuisine. Literally everything we ordered was fantastic from the chicken and beef noodle bowl, combination plate, to the chicken curry, and spring rolls! We even ordered more to take home. To top it off, the service was friendly, warm, and prompt. We're planning on making this a favorite on our list!

Lisa n.

Yelp
Decided to have lunch at this shop before hitting up the bakery next door for dessert and to my surprise was DELICIOUS! I love lotus salad because of the crunchy lotus roots, fresh mints, and jellyfish bouncy, crunch (if that makes sense). The sauce was 10/10 and ingredients were amazing. I would have liked a little more variety of mints, but I'm sure availability is hard to come by compared to SoCal. Though I would have liked a little more jellyfish, it was packed with lots of shrimp and squid, which made up the rest of the protein. The Bun Bo Hue was packed with meat! We did not expect the bowl to be so huge, but was shocked it was so big! It was perfectly flavored with that shrimp paste and not overly salty or spicy! They gave a lot of meat with tendon (my favorite)! I did miss the fresh sliced banana flower, but again I understand that availability is probably not the same as SoCal. The noodles were slightly overcooked in my opinion, but they were pretty busy and I'm not mad bc of how much meat they poured into our bowl. Definitely, recommend if you're in the mood for some authentic Vietnamese cuisine (you can tell it's authentic when you see kids sitting at the counter lol!)

Yelp
Amazing Vietnamese food! The flavors off all of the dishes we got were amazing. I would highly recommend the Bo Luc Lac or the Thịt Kho Sả Ớt. The dining space was also well decorated for the theme of the restaurant. I am so excited to come back here and try other things on the menu!

Yelp
This spot was recommended by a friend and we visited on a Sunday with 6 people. The place was packed!! We waited for about 15 mins because we weren't aware that they had online waitlist. However the owner was very accommodating and kept informing us on the status of our seating. Once seated we ordered immediately and the food was omg out of this world! The flavors was truly authentic! The presentation was appealing. They took Vietnamese food to a whole other level. Everything we ordered was yummy. I will certainly return and recommend for anyone who wants to try Vietnamese cuisine.

This place is amazing! Every single thing on the menu is delicious. Can't go wrong with anything here. If you're looking for incredible Vietnamese food look no further. Definitely come check this place out!

Yelp
Got takeout on a Saturday night when we were at Cerebral Brewing. The food was hot and fresh and very good! It only took about 30 minutes during popular dinner time, which I didn't think was bad at all. My sister got B1 Bun Dact Biet which was a noodle bowl with tons of proteins and egg rolls. She said it was really good. I got C3 Com Ga Nuong Sa Ot which was lemongrass chicken. It was two large chicken thighs, a few veggies, and lots of rice. The sauce is amazing. Sweet and spicy. I didn't get much pickled daikon and carrots. A few more veggies would have been nice. The meat was juicy and had a little char with an excellent marinade. I would definitely get it again and ask for extra vegetables. Great place to hit up while drinking beers across the street!

Yelp
I'm so happy to have discovered Dân Dã! I read a Yelp Elite member review that immediately made me eager to try their Bo Kho and experience the great service -- so I literally dropped what I was doing and head there for dinner. I was not disappointed. The entire experience was pleasant, enjoyable and compelling. From easy parking off Colfax Avenue (which is unusual) to being greeted by prompt, courteous, friendly and informative staff, to a menu filled with mouth-watering Vietnamese cuisine and a casual but elegant atmosphere -- there was nothing missing. I was greeted and seated by Viet who asked if this was my first visit. I told him it was and that I was eager to try their Bo Kho as it is appears surprisingly rare in restaurants outside of California. Viet suggested their Banh Mi Bo Kho (I've only had Bo Kho with noodles as I'm not a "bread guy."). Viet's confident recommendation won the day. The meal started with a noticeably refreshing pitcher of water that was presented with such elegance by another staff member that it immediately commanded my attention (yes, I'm gushing about Dân Dã's water -- it's that good! ). This was complimented by a perfectly chilled bottle of Saigon beer (a new favorite!) that I took my time with and literally enjoyed every sip. The main course was the Bun Bo Kho. It was beautifully presented and clearly prepared by people who take pride in their art. The broth had a perfect consistency -- not too heavy, not too light, the carrots were chunky and perfectly textured, the beef was ample, perfectly marbled, seasoned and textured and complemented by fresh and juicy jalapeño slices, basil and bread, plus steamed rice. The first taste of the broth brought me back to my first experience with Bo Kho in Santa Clara California. It was delicious, flavor packed, with the perfect level of spicy, and an aroma that compelled me to focus on what was in front of me and attempt to decode the mixture of flavors and aroma. Viet's recommendation was inspired and converted this non "bread-guy) into a Bun Bo Kho fan! For the next hour my world became this charming, lively restaurant on Colfax, this amazing meal and attentive staff who made me feel like they prepared this meal and curated this experience just for me. Dân Dã is a delightful find and a new favorite in my list of go-to restaurants in Denver. If you like artfully prepared food and delightful service, Dân Dã should be on your "must-try" list.

Yelp
Had a great experience at Dan Da. This newly opened Vietnamese restaurant is owned by the same family as banh&butter right next door. They have a pretty extensive menu from classics like pho and vermicelli bowls to clay pot dishes and bahn cuon aka do it yourself rolls. It's a fairly small restaurant, and they're getting booked out fast! So if you don't want to walk in and wait or walk in and sit at the bar, then definitely make a reservation beforehand. My partner and I got a make it yourself spring roll tower for two -- it came with super fresh herbs and vegetables, lemongrass beef, we subbed out chicken for tofu, egg rolls and shrimp. It was delicious, fresh and an amazing price! Absolutely get the tower to share if you go.

Yelp
Just as good as the original! Happy they opened up in Aurora. Tip: parking is in the back. Don't let the front deter you.

Yelp
Alright, I live close to federal and the amount of viet food I can get is ungodly but this place probably wins for the best in denver area. We got the tier gio cuon (spring rolls) and the egg rolls were so crispy, all the meats were juicy and flavorful. We also had bun rieu and it was delicious and empty bowl good. The restaurant is small so I would be prepared to wait or make a reservation in advance. I wish I could try a million things on their menu but I will just keep coming back. All their drinks are delicious and if you go during lunch you can stop next door for baked goods which is also delicious.

Yelp
Great gluten free options! (I only roll gluten free) I knew I wanted the shrimp and crab egg rolls, but needed a recommendation for my main dish. Thanks guys! Oh yeah, and so friendly when I went to pick up the order!

Yelp
I had no idea some of the items you see on the menu in reviews are secret menu items: the pho was solid/homie and the Bo ne was super filling. A lil pricy Pho $20 and Bo Ne $24 but it was expected for Denver - at least the food was good enough to be that expensive. Does it beat the hole in the wall spots? Maybe not, but it definitely is on par with them. The drinks were also very good and unique

Yelp
It's a little pricey but the food was well worth it. Very good, fresh, and light! I highly recommend trying.

Yelp
Well Aurora has another Vietnamese restaurant to brag about! I visited today around 11:30 on Wed. Just as they opened, specifically to get their Banh Mi dish, SK1 Bo Ne Luc Lac Op La...think it kind of translates to steak and eggs. It has like shaking beef, pate, tomatoes, and this incredible thick broth topped with 2 sunny side up eggs...and of course severed with a nice, warmed fresh baguette. Yall it's soooo good! I tried this dish or a similar variation in Sacramento CA and it felt like I was eating in heaven! I came home to try and find it, but no luck until Dan Da! Youve go to get ya some! Take a look at the pic! It tastes just as good as the picture looks.

Yelp
Coming from LA where the standard for Asian food is already high, my expectations were not very high. However, everything by this restaurant and its owner exceeded anything I could've wanted and more. Super nice, friendly, and helpful owner. Bright, open, and clean interior. Great service and even better food. Def worth a visit succeeded by a trip to the dessert shop by the same family next door. (Spring roll tower made around 10 spring rolls, great appetizer for our party of 7)

Yelp
Very authentic, with lots of dishes you don't normally see in a typical Vietnamese place. Give anything on the menu a try.
