Authentic Sichuan restaurant just near Aldgate East. We arrived at 5:00 pm as a group of four and the place was already full, which is usually a good sign. We asked for a table and only waited about 15 minutes before being seated.
We started with dumplings, a seasoned cucumber dish, and prawn dim sum. All were fresh, well seasoned, and very well executed. For mains, we each ordered a different dish: braised beef, braised pork belly, and kung pao chicken. Every plate was balanced, flavourful, and served in generous portions.
We also had beers and tea, which paired well with the food. Overall, excellent quality, good variety on the menu, and very fair portions. Definitely worth the wait if you are looking for proper Sichuan food in the area.
