Napa Valley Vintner Tuck Beckstoffer Has to Pay Back $5 Million He Spent on a Private Jet and Guns - Eater SF

Dandelion Chocolate Company Review - Embarcadero - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Chocolate stores are essentially gift stores, even if you’re buying the candies for yourself. But if you really need something sweet, Dandelion makes hot chocolate that puts Swiss Miss to shame. On a cold day, walk around with a spicy Mission Hot Chocolate - this stuff is good enough to justify going out in the cold." - Will Kamensky

The displays caught my eye when perusing the ferry building. Ended up ordering a European sipping chocolate and a pack of dark chocolate roasted hazelnuts. The drink was rich flavorful and the equivalent of a warm hug! Would totally order it again or other items if a craving hits. Was surprised it came with a little cookie and a marshmallow that wasn’t too sweet that I tossed in and complimented the drink! Have yet to try the nuts but hope they will be wonderful as well.

Fun shop inside the ferry building. Cookies were INCREDIBLE. buttery, chewy, bittersweet chocolate chunks… amazing. Fun to grab one to go as you stroll the piers.

While waiting for the ferry, we walked around the market and saw Dandelion. I never heard of them before but my bf told me their chocolate is really great. That's coming a lot from someone who's not into chocolate. I got 2 bars, pretty pricey for $11 each but I love dark chocolate so I got 2 different bars based on notes that I love with one 70% and another 100% dark. They offer drinks and I got the house hot chocolate with marshmallow. It was good! It's not the bittersweet or sweet kind of hot chocolate you taste. It's more satisfying to drink the more you sip. Would I recommend this? Absolutely Yes! Even for the price, I would say it is worth to try at least once on your visit.

There's nothing more satisfying than a rich, decadent chocolate of any variety from Dandelion. The weather in SF was perfect for the frozen mocha and frozen hot chocolate I had over my couple days in the area. The staff are friendly and drinks deliciously made. Plus they have all your Dandelion favorites ready for purchase! If you're looking for a unique chocolate experience and are going to the Ferry Building, please do yourself a favor and stop by for a treat!

This was our second time going to Dandelion Chocolate, but our first time at this location inside the Ferry Building. The iced mocha here as always was absolutely excellent. You simply cannot go wrong with ordering anything that has chocolate in it at Dandelion. There’s obviously a lot of foot traffic here and everything is to go since there’s no space for tables or chairs. Luckily there wasn’t much of a line at the store.

Situated in the iconic Ferry Building at the Embarcadero, Dandelion Chocolate offers a unique experience. I opted for the Mission Mocha, a visually stunning concoction combining spicy hot chocolate with a double espresso. While the drink was beautiful, the spices were a bit overpowering for my taste I will try the regular mocha on my next visit.

Google
I stop in here fairly often when I take the ferry to the city. Most often I buy chocolate nibs to sprinkle on my yogurt and berries for breakfast. More recently I bought a spiced hot chocolate. Beautiful presentation, loved the cookie on the side. Definitely a delicious, rich treat on a cold day.

Google
A special treat with great presentation. The hot European chocolate tasted amazing! They have a variety of sweet treats you can choose from as well. Make sure to not go too close to closing time because most of the desserts will be sold out.

Yelp
My childhood favorite drink is hot cocoa and this is some next level hot chocolate! This is THEE place to go to if you love chocolate and hot cocoa! They have chocolate bars, vials of hot chocolate mix and chocolate drinks as well! Everything looks so aesthetic and delicious! I've tried their European hot chocolate and it was very rich and thick. It tasted good but the drink was too thick for me. It's almost like you are drinking a liquid creamy dark chocolate bar lol I am so happy I finally got to try the frozen hot chocolate. I usually come here on a Saturday and it's sold out! I prefer the frozen hot chocolate because it's not too sweet and not thick because it's blended with ice. Next time I come here, I am going to try one of their mocha drinks. Perhaps the frozen mocha. Also, if you are looking to get their chocolates, they are on the pricier side but they seem to be high quality chocolate.

Yelp
I've grown up going to the ferry building and recently visited again for this + the farmers market. Dandelion is a MUSTTTT. I love their chocolate, the cacao is unbeatable I don't know what makes it so good. I came for the drinks though. Hot chocolate was amazing especially when it was sprinkling outside. We also got the Mocha and really enjoyed it, surprisingly because they're not a coffee shop. It does get crowded and their store isn't huge but it's great because it's an open space. They were all so nice with recommendations as well! I definitely plan on going back to try more desserts and chocolatey drinks.
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon but line moved quickly. I'd usually go with a classic hot chocolate but felt like the Mission hot chocolate would be more unique, so I went with that one. They only had oat milk during this time which was fine by me. It was definitely unique with a slight kick of "spice." Don't think I've had anything like it! Drink got better the more I drank it - I think it was more of an acquired taste for me personally. Came with a small cookie on the side which didn't really add much to the experience to be honest. If I return, I'd like to try the chocolate chip cookies!

Yelp
This is hands down the best chocolate in the city. I order it and have it shipped to my house regularly to bake with. But I was happy to stop by in person and get a few baked goods and drinks. The service is always super friendly and nice. I still haven't had the horchata...it's always sold out. The house hot chocolate is a favorite. I buy that mix regularly. Mission hot chocolate has a bit of kick, but it's nice. And the cacao fruit smoothie was delightful. It's made from the white incasing of the cacao pod that holds the beans and it's sweet and unless you have been to a cacao farm it's hard to get your hands on this. So good! Get it to go and take a walk along the pier.

Yelp
Decided to check this place out to get souvenir from SF. I know it says one $ sign, I would say this is more like $$-$$$ sign given the price. I got the truffle collection which has 15 truffles for $60. The chocolates were great but not the best I have had compared to others in this price range. Still a good souvenir to give for people you love and will come back next time to try other things!

Yelp
Dandelion Chocolate is an bakery, cafe, and chocolate artisan experience in the heart of San Francisco. With a minimalistic vintage feel, the interior provides ample space for dining-in. I love that they encourage customers to taste their chocolate samples and provide hardstock discovery cards to jot down notes of different flavors. My favorite item recommended by a staff member was the Black Sesame Seed Toffee Brittle. This item is simply divine (5/5); the dark chocolate bark has a nice crisp snap, well balanced sweetness, and dark toffee bits to provide a unique and equally addictive treat. I am a repeat buyer of this item, both for myself as well as for friends and family. Highly recommend to those wanting to try different high quality chocolates. I look forward to my next visit in the future.

Yelp
While exploring the Ferry Building, we came across Dandelion Chocolate with its fancy and ornate setup. We sampled a few types of dark chocolate and couldn't resist picking up their chocolate breakfast granola and a jar of hot chocolate. The chocolate breakfast granola was absolutely delicious! Service was quick and efficient. The only downside is the price--it's definitely a splurge, but worth it for an occasional treat!

Yelp
Cute chocolate shop but also don't sleep on their coffee. I love that they have a clear display of their dessert offerings with descriptions. The chocolate canele is so good. A good crust on the outside and so custardy on the inside. There is a wall of chocolates from different origins. You can try them before committing to a whole bar. Perfect for a picky eater like me. I found me perfect bar today and I'm very happy~ This is an amazing chocolate place but they also have great coffee. I was so frustrated at other coffee places' lines and saw Dandelion serves coffee. So I ordered a Cappuccino. It's a great cappuccino. Strong but smooth. It also comes with a short bread in a little pocket. Such a cute touch and very tasty! Have to stop by here every time at the ferry building and pick up a chocolate for later~

Yelp
While pregnant I was always on the hunt for the perfect hot chocolate. My husband and I even did a hot chocolate crawl throughout the East Bay with a rating system of different core elements we were looking for in the perfect cup. I must say as soon as I thought I was going to throw in the towel, I found what I had been searching for my entire pregnancy and it wasn't in the form of a hot chocolate, rather in the form of a "frozen" hot chocolate. With "cocoa nib" whipped cream, this is, and was, everything. In my honest opinion, the best in the bay! To be fair, we did try the house hot chocolate as well to check it off our box ~ creamy yet smooth, rich but not too sweet, robust but not complex. Ahhh, I can taste it now! I tried this at the Ferry Building grab and go location..with the holidays coming up, I can't wait to get back there to keep a new tradition going. With a few other larger spots around SF (factory on 16th), I can't wait to explore more of their menu like the Banana Chocolate Milk, S'more (marshmallow is toasted upon order), Chocolate Chip Cookie, and Canele. Would love to even do a chocolate tour or class, how fun! Where is your favorite cup of hot (or frozen) chocolate in the Bay? Have I not tried them all?

Diane R.

Yelp
Mocha was incredible, I love that they have the little cookie sampler to try out with your purchase- cacao nibs were a great touch that gave you an idea of their chocolate quality when purchasing a coffee which is just good marketing. The only issue I had was that the shop opens at 9 and I had to wait until about 9:30 for the mocha to be available as they were still setting up. Ambiance is 10/10, there's lot of little information about their chocolate making processes throughout the displays which is cool, stunning bonbons in full glass display was a nice touch
google avatar

Susan C.

Yelp
Such a great shop for true chocolate aficionados! All their chocolates are well labeled and the samples help you to choose which one to buy. The prices range from bar to bar. They also have both hot and cold drinks that are made to order! Love this place!
google avatar

Eden C.

Yelp
A smaller & busier location, but still has most of their merchandise! Delicious & not too sweet, perfect chocolate for dark chocolate-lovers. Definitely recommend the hot chocolate. Would not recommend the canele-- it was solid, but did not have a strong crunch on the outside. I also prefer a canele with a more custardy center.
google avatar

Yelp
Felt a little daring and ordered an iced latte from a chocolate stand and you know what?? I'd do it again! They are right in the Ferry Building so the perfect pit stop to either start or end your day or even for just a sweet pick me up right in the middle. My iced latte might not have had a hint of cocoa in it, but it was still delicious and it even came with a tiny little cookie on the side. What else could I ask for? Grab your drink and your teeny tiny cookie and find a table or bench out on the water and enjoy!
google avatar

Katie R.

Yelp
Dandelion Chocolate has some of my favorite chocolate around. They have a huge variety of dark chocolate bars, plus pastries, drinks, truffles, and more. I love that you're able to taste the bars before getting them. Some of my favorite items are the chocolate covered almonds, the chocolate chip cookies, and of course the chocolate bars. While the chocolates are on the more expensive side, they're very artisanal and are made with good ingredients and not a bunch of processed sugars. Despite this being a small outpost compared to some of their stores, they still have a great variety here!
google avatar

Joan W.

Yelp
The location in the ferry building is ideal because you can get a hot chocolate and then take a walk along the Embarcadero looking at the bay. All their drinks and desserts are high quality. Sometimes they can run out of certain things on the weekends because it gets super busy with the farmers market, but the weekdays aren't as hectic. I usually get the s'mores treat and the Mission mocha which is a little spicy and comes with chocolate shavings on top. Each drink comes with a sleeve with a little cookie which is so cute.
google avatar

Genevieve G.

Yelp
Everything is beautiful and as a s'mores fanatic, I was excited to try. Watching them torch the s'mores was cool, but I was a little disappointed. I think it was a bit too soft and mushy and I wanted more of a crunchy contrast. Would try other items though.

Yelp
Their house hot chocolate is a great treat during the colder months, especially since it's a significant step up from your typical grocery store hot chocolate powder. Make sure to add a marshmallow! It makes your drink even creamier. The chocolate canele was also good treat to have as well, but the drink already came with small cookie on the side. The employees are helpful when it comes to selecting chocolate or a drink from the menu. Also a great place to bring visitors when in the Embarcadero area.

Yelp
My hubby and I were looking for something to drink after enjoying breakfast at the Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market and came across this small location. As soon as we stepped in we were greeted by a sweet staff member and were just in awe of their menu, so many delectable possibilities, it was hard to choose! I ordered the European Drinking Chocolate with an added Housemade Marshmallow. THICK, chocolatey and rich 70% Chef's Chocolate, served with a delicious mini cookie on the side for dipping! Note: it's more bitter than American hot chocolate. Afterwards we sampled some of their dark chocolate bars, that we will definitely have to purchase our next visit! They have been making their single-origin, small-batch chocolate for 10 years with just 2 ingredients: roasted cocoa beans and organic cane sugar! I would HIGHLY recommend this location, located at the famous historical landmark, San Francisco Ferry Building! So many shops and popular restaurants we wanted to try! Parking is available nearby at Embarcadero Center Parking or Sea Wall Lot 351. We'll definitely be back to try some of their baked goods and the Nibby Horchata, I was intrigued to try! SYOY! :-) *Song Credit: Night in Venice by Kevin MacLeod Site: https://filmmusic.io/song/5763-night-in-venice License: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode

Yelp
I love this place. My daughter is addicted to the single origin bars, so whenever I pass through I get the 6 pack for her. We also love the Scandinavian collaboration chocolates and get those every Christmas- it is a special treat for the whole family. For the bars and the chocolates- 160 dollars, which is somewhat scandalizing, but when I think how much enjoyment we get out of them, and how slowly we eat them- totally worth it. So this place is not a "bargain"- but if you love chocolate like this (and you should definitely try the samples) then imo it is worth it. You'll find this place almost directly across from Acme bread- and the folks who work here are friendly and helpful.

Yelp
I LOVE all things chocolate. If there is a store to purchase chocolates, count me in. This visit was no different. I originally went to get a candy bar since I arrived close to closing time, but the gentleman said he was still open and had not put away things. I did get the candy bar and the raspberry brownie (I think that was the name). Whatever the name, that brownie was AMAZING! Soft, creamy, and probably the best decision I made that day! There are a variety of dark chocolate bars to choose from and each describes the flavor of the dark chocolate. I did notice this location serves lattes, cappuccino, etc (hot and cold beverages) and pastries. As for the candy bar, it did NOT compare to the brownie, but I would definitely be interested to try other bars from this company. I wonder if they can ship the brownie to me! A girl can dream right??

Yelp
I have been craving DANDELION'S DRINKING CHOCOLATE for a good long while now. Now that I had an opportunity visit, I am glad to introduce some family to it too. We had a chocolate party! MOCHA is delicious, as expected. This came with a house-made marshmallow. EUROPEAN DRINKING CHOCOLATE is rich rich rich. Thick as molasses and I wouldn't have it any other way. This drink came with a house-made marshmallow and a shortbread cookie. My girls chickened out and just got the HOUSE HOT CHOCOLATE, but there were no complaints coming from that direction. Each drink came with a house-made marshmallow and a shortbread cookie. If it was summer, I would totally follow the other kids' lead and order the FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE because it was delicious! I had a sip. But it was way too cold. It might have been worth the cold though. The cashier and the barista were infinitely patience when taking our giant order and fulfilling it. In case you're wondering, yes, they are actually selling their chocolates at this branch too, and they also have free samples!

Soumya R.

Yelp
Knew there was a lot of hype around this place so decided to check it out. Frozen "Hot" Chocolate: Interesting concept. It is on the bitter side which I was not a huge fan of...I liked the whipped cream though. Could not finish the whole thing since it was a little too rich &, again, bitter. Wish it was sweeter. Chocolate Chai: Hmm...this was the first time we heard of this so gave it a try. SUPER strong chai flavor which was not what we were expecting. Could not finish this either. Matcha Cookie: Honestly the only thing we enjoyed fully. The edges were crisp and it was delicious. Overall, I am glad I could now say I tried this place, but it is pricey & I do not think it would be everyone's cup of tea. Most hot chocolates I have tried are on the sweeter side so I was a little surprised to realize that this was much more different from my expectations.

Yelp
5/5 at this location as well - I have had the pleasure of trying out a few of their other locations as well. Makes for an excellent treat after checking out the ferry building. Grabbed their DF chocolate milk + GF oatmeal cookie and sat outside to watch the ferries dock which was an excellent pairing! Truly such a wonderful gem in the ferry building. Please do check it out and find out what chocolate is really about!

Yelp
This place has great customer service! The staff is always so kind and friendly ! Their smores treat is very tasty ! Coffee is good there too

Yelp
Wanted to come try the hot chocolate here after seeing people post about it online, since my boyfriend really loves hot chocolate. We also hoped to find some nice gifts for family or friends outside of the city. We dropped by after lunch; there was a bit of a wait, but nothing too bad. Only one person was manning the cashier and making the drinks. We ordered the House Hot Chocolate with marshmallow, which also came with a small cookie. The hot chocolate was great--it tasted more like actual dark chocolate than other hot chocolates I've had. There was a subtle bitterness and roastiness, and it wasn't overly sweet. I half-expected them to toast the marshmallow, but the marshmallow did taste like a homemade or fresh marshmallow. The accompanying nut cookie was pretty nice, although it didn't taste too different when dipped in the hot chocolate. The store offered some chocolate bits to taste for the chocolate bars and a few other products. The items were a bit on the expensive side, so I didn't end up getting any. I'd highly recommend the hot chocolate to anyone who appreciates the taste of dark chocolate and prefers it on the less sweet side.

Yelp
Although this is a very aesthetic hot chocolate (and perhaps most locally acclaimed), I didn't really enjoy this drink. The Mission Hot chocolate is listed as "foamy, spiced and spicy", but I didn't know that meant literally spicy like cayenne and not just cinnamon. The foam was great and marshmallow is amazing, but the flavors in the hot chocolate weren't doing it for me. It was too spicy to enjoy as a sweet treat for me. We had a chocolate canele, which was also just mid. The crust wasn't super crackly and insides not custardy like I'd expect. The chocolate didn't really come through either. But, the single origin bars are divine - with sugar being the only additive, you can really taste the difference between origins. Also, each bar is perfectly balanced to match the flavor profile of the beans inside. You can't go wrong with their chocolates! The staff is happy to help with a mini-chocolate tasting when not busy and drinks came out fast! I love most every thing Dandelion Chocolate makes, but take this as a sign to just stick with traditional hot chocolate and their bars.
google avatar

Yelp
We had a very pleasant experience at Dandelion in Las Vegas, so we were super excited to try Dandelion again in its hometown unfortunately it was quite disappointing. We ordered a frozen mocha. We could neither taste the chocolate not the coffee. Tasted like brown sweet water with whipped cream. Very underwhemling, not worth the calories . Not sure if that day was off. The oatmeal cookie was very tasty but THEY DIDN'T WARM THE COOKIES!! so we had to eat the cookie cold turkey .

Emily B.

Yelp
Such a cute place! Giving 5 stars for service and the best s'more ever!!!! Wish I had 1 daily!!!! Plus how they make it is amazing!!!

Yelp
Fun factory tour but note: the machines run M-F. Weekend tours you have to imagine them running (bummed). Excellent chocolate!!!

Yelp
If only Choquiero Cacao Café shall find a retail space here in the big city, I would be more than grateful. But it's one unique small business that only resides in Grass Valley. Very magical, if I were chosen to set foot there one day. I can't drive, but at least I had their chocolate bars in Rainbow Grocery Co-op. Maybe you guys ought to go to the cacao café and feel right at home there. I might be heading to Bisou Chocolate Café if I were to take BART. Dandelion Chocolate will continue to have nice deep dark chocolate from Central to South America. Ecuadorian cacao was my best chocolate to consume since that's where it originated. As long as Dandelion Chocolate continues its business in the Ferry Building, I'll continue to swing by for some more decadent treats. Kudos to the staff who run this kiosk!

Yelp
The store has been moved to inside the ferry building. The european drinking chocolate was so thick and heavenly! Super fast and friendly service. 4oz size is enough, like drinking amazing melted chocolate bar! you can ask for marshmallow on top!

Yelp
This review goes for the ferry building and the Valencia street location. It's hard to put a label on this place besides just calling it a "Super special chocolate type situation." Simply put yes? All things chocolate you could say. Baked goods, coffees, hot chocolates, and other chocolate goodness. Did I mention the chocolate? It's of the highest quality. The cocoa bean presence is prominent and you can never doubt the quality of the chocolate. I've tried several things here but the brownie flight is my favorite. Rich! Take it slow and savor it. You like chocolate? What are you waiting for? (4.6 Stars)

Yelp
Another delight in San Francisco, and what a surprise to find it at the Ferry Building. From the variety of chocolates to the crafty beverages, this was another amazing experience. The staff went above expectations for a few customers ahead of us. The joy of others was wonderful and by the time we ordered, a few samples were presented. Good experience, good chocolates.

Yelp
Dandelion Chocolate is famous for its Chocolate drinks. I tried the hot Chocolate drink which is using the Dandilion Chocolate and milk. Drink tasted great, it was slightly sweet, but not too much sweet as desired.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing chocolate and pastries! They have a great selection of small batch chocolates with cacao from all over the world. Friendly staff as well - they gave me suggestions and recommendations that I loved.

Yelp
Mid day sweet tooth cravings? Head to dandelion at the ferry building. Although this is a much smaller place compared to the Mission street one, the servers were really nice and kind. There was a long queue after work. This place is only open till 6pm (coffee available until 5:30pm). I stopped by after work to grab the European hot chocolate. The last time I picked the regular hot chocolate which I liked more as the regular one was more milky but the European one was dark. It comes with a tiny marshmallow. Make sure you don't spill some (like I did) given the base in which it was served was pretty weak to hold the wait of the $5 thick dark chocolate. Enjoy your drink outside with stunning views of the Bay bridge !
google avatar

Sam S.

Yelp
Went here on a food tour through the mission area in San Francisco. It was the last stop so I wasn't very hungry but had a drink that was way too rich in chocolate for me but could see how someone who loves really rich chocolate would like. I don't have much to say overall.
google avatar

Vidhi P.

Yelp
Yum! This place is delicious. It is one of the vendors inside the Ferry Building, so the ambiance is already lively and buzzing. I absolutely live the iced chocolate chai here, which is surprisingly and totally delicious. I almost never get a chai, but it is so perfect here. The chocolate actually works really well, and adds a nice creamy effect as well. The drink is decently sized and priced (about $6) and comes with a tiny chocolate chip cookie. The store also has lots of chocolate to taste, along with guides. The honeycomb chocolate is to die for. I definitely would come back to try their pastries and other drinks. Perfect pick-me-up on a nice day in the city!!

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of Dandelion chocolate and frequent their Mission location so much so that they know me. My coworkers and I come here when we're forced to go into the office. (NOT a fan of Hyrbid work) I've been to this location several times when I want a nibby Horchata fix. Yup, that's the name, it has cocoa nibs. Great refreshing beverage with nibs sprinkled on top. Back to the 5 star service. Thank you to the woman who truly went above and beyond. You were Caucasian and had brownish blond hair and you helped me with the chocolate honeycomb that was sold out in all your locations. You found some and gave me the last ones of this year. You went above and beyond in helping me and I greatly appreciate it. I thanked you profusely today and I'm thanking you eternally on Yelp!

Yelp
Do you remember when Willy Wonka showed the five lucky children the chocolate room, the one with the chocolate river? The same river Augustus Gloop later fell into? Drinking the European Drinking Chocolate is like drinking from that river. It's served in a small cup but it's extremely thick and rich. A little goes a looooong way. It's literally like drinking hot melted chocolate. When they ask if you want a marshmallow, say YES. A homemade (or "housemade") marshmallow is an amazing thing and hardly anyone makes them. The Mission Hot Chocolate is delightfully spicy but is nowhere near as rich as the European. It's a fine drink if you like a little kick to your sweet treat. Unfortunately, they were out of s'mores during our visit so we tried the canele which was like a dense chocolate cake. It was very good. This place is well worth a visit. It's decadent.
google avatar

Prathika A.

Yelp
If you love chocolate, don't miss Dandelion! They have a lovely store in the Ferry Building. We were looking for some coffee and stopped by. We tried the mission mocha and Marocchino. Both were creamy and yummy! If you are looking for a spicy mocha, do get the mission mocha. Highly recommend both drinks! In addition, they sell chocolates from all over Africa, chocolate & Nutella and even chocolate granola

Yelp
With all due respect, a big disappointment. When you mosey up to a place like this, you expect to pay a lot but also get something so delicate and unique or so specialized and you walk away saying "I'd even pay more for that" because an establishment has mastered this "thing". Not the case with this hot chocolate place. The pastry was $6, tiny and stale. The sales representative tossed it on the counter and it landed like a brick. Hot chocolate took so long, was so small and tasted meh. I mean, I get it but it is not anything I'd ever go get again. Dark chocolate bitter with little depth or "specialness" The over all service - though I tipped anyway- seemed aloof and as bored with the "faire" as I was after my first sip. A definite pass for me
google avatar

Carlos G.

Yelp
Ordered the hot mocha and it came with a cookie, and a marshmallow on top. The chocolate was some of the best I've tasted in a mocha!

Stoped by here during our visit to SF and what an experience!! I'll just say that the drinks or at least the ones were ordered were tinyyyy but delicious! Drinks 5/5 Ordered mission mocha (hot) and marocchino (hot). Mission mocha definitely has that spicy kick because of the cinnamon and other spices they had. It was very unique if you're into spices! The second drink was so so tiny! It was a layer of their drinking chocolate, a layer of espresso, and a layer of whipped cream. The whole thing was the size of an espresso glass/cup but it was so yummy! I'd probably ask for it to be in a bigger cup next time so I can mix it all rather than drink it layer by layer since everything was overflowing! We asked for both drinks to be extra hot and oh they delivered! Both were HOT! Service 4/5 The woman at the cashier was helpful and gave suggestions but was a bit all over the place! Ambiance Can't say much about this as it's in the Ferry Building so you have to drink and walk. No seating! They do have samples of their chocolate bars so feel free to help yourself!! Price 3/5 I think you're paying more so for the experience. I wouldn't say this is your everyday cup of Joe. $6.75 for a tiny cup is up there in price! Overall I'd definitely visit them again! I saw almost every other person getting an iced drink so will try that next time!

Yelp
One of the highlights of my visit to San Francisco! It was great that our hotel was directly across from the ferry building so that I could come to dandelion chocolate for a different chocolate beverage every single day. My favorite was the frozen hot chocolate, but the frozen mocha was also great. I'm not generally a big fan of Frappuccinos because they tend to be a little bit too cloyingly sweet, but the chocolate is definitely the star of these drinks and the flavor is so delicious. Plus, you get a tasty little cookie with your drink. I also got a couple of baked goods--one day I got the banana bread and another I got the gluten-free cookie with cranberries and nuts and chocolate chunks. Both were absolutely amazing. If all gluten-free desserts tasted like the gluten-free cookie I could definitely forgo gluten for the rest of my life. My only complaint is that there is no Dandelion Chocolate near me on the East Coast!!

Yelp
TLDR: Yum! A delightful spot for chocolate and chocolate drinks. Go! DRINKS: My boyfriend and I love the European drinking chocolate - by far our favorite thing here. They have a version with a shot of espresso (Marocchino) that I really enjoy. We've also tried the Mocha, Nibby Horchata, and the iced chocolate chai, and they were all decent but not as good as the drinking chocolate or Marocchino. DESSERT: I've only tried a passion fruit dessert here but I remember enjoying it! SERVICE: People are nice! No complaints. AMBIANCE: Located in the ferry building, Dandelion is a chocolate shop in an open air area with no seating specifically for it. However, the ferry building is a delightful place to go, especially on Saturdays when there's a farmers market. It's not as good as the original location, but I do enjoy it!

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE this place! As I get older, I try to move away from sugary stuff more and more. That means black coffee, and dark chocolate with minimal sugar. The chocolate here is all vegan-friendly, unadulterated and sugar free. All you're left with is pure flavor bombs of single-origin dark chocolates. I stopped by for a bar but ended up leaving with a Lemon Poppy Seed Cake (vegan) and two s'mores. The marshmallow is house made and freshly torched per order. I was pleasantly surprised there was a vegan dessert option. The employees were friendly, helpful and even offered us samples of their favorite chocolate. I wish we had one of these shops in the East Bay!

Yelp
Addicted to their House Mocha. I come here a few times a week for their coffee and oatmeal cookies. The staff is so nice and conversational. The service is pretty smooth, the ambiance is relaxing, and the free chocolate samples are a delicious distraction when it does get busy...Really great way to spend your morning on weekdays or weekends. Highly recommend.
