D&N Hot Wings is definitely worth checking out if you’re a wing lover. This was my first time stopping in, and I was pleasantly surprised right away. These are not those tiny wings with barely any meat, you actually get a solid, meaty wing here, which immediately sets this place apart.
The food itself was good. The wings were flavorful, well-cooked, and filling, and the portion size felt fair for what you’re paying. There’s a nice variety of flavors to choose from, so whether you like classic, spicy, or something a little different, there’s plenty to explore.
The vibe of the place is cool and casual, making it an easy spot to hang out, grab food, and enjoy a drink. Speaking of drinks, they also have a good drink selection, which pairs nicely with the wings and adds to the overall experience.
Service, however, was a bit off. The guy helping us, who seemed like he may have been the owner or manager, came across as pretty unwelcoming at first. No real personality, not very engaging, and it felt a little awkward given that he’s the front-facing interaction for the business.
To his credit, he did warm up as things went on, but first impressions matter. Being a bit more lively and welcoming could make a big impact on the guest experience, especially for first-time customers.
That said, the food ultimately carries this place. Between the generous wings, variety of flavors, and solid drink options, I’d still recommend stopping in and checking it out.
