The 19 Best Restaurants in Lagos, Nigeria | Eater

"At Danfo Bistro, one of the city’s popular street foods — ewa agoyin— has been repackaged and is served in a space that’s pure Lagos. Ewa agoyin is made of beans cooked to mush and served with freshly baked bread. At Danfo Bistro, fried plantain cubes top the classic street-food combo. Finger foods like chicken wings are served in strips of newspaper-like packing material, mirroring how street-food vendors pack them. The space is also worthy of note: The decor reimagines Lagos’s popular yellow buses as eating booths, showcasing the signature black-and-yellow stamp of these buses as well as other iconic motifs of Lagos. Beyond the great feel, the food was absolutely delicious. I had the their menu for the Awari Restaurant Week, which was perfectly prepared and so nice. The service too was attentive and friendly.

Absolutely one of the best restaurants I've been to since my stay. This establishment is a culinary gem. The food was exquisite, and the service impeccable. Every dish was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was elegant and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant for a truly exceptional dining experience.

Was left slightly disappointed at my first visit, but the staff and ambience was great so, I thought to return, thinking the second time will be the charm, only to leave even more disappointed. 🎯For one, the food took forever to arrive. 🎯My Caesar Salad for mediocre 🎯The Yam Con Carne I ordered was slightly stale.

Went there for akara and papa. Highly recommended. It was plentiful and super delicious. I had to take akara home with me.. it was that much. Staff are super friendly and attentive. I'll be visiting again to sample other delicacies. I appreciated the theme based around the iconic Lagos Danfo buses.

Lovely place to be at. Small intimate space that uses recycled materials in the most beautiful way to give that unique aesthetic feel. I like the thoughtful curated menu. You can get a really great meal and drink with a budget of N8,000. I was waited on by a lovely lady who was really patient with us and our meals came to us under 10min. Adequate parking lot for your vehicles.

I had the opportunity to visit Danfo Bistro on my visit to Nigeria. I've heard so much about this place so I was super excited to go. Atmosphere was amazing... I liked the decor. It was very vivid and colourful. The touches of the "Danfo" I was used to seeing growing up was everywhere. The outfit of the staff was so cool. Initially, we went to the rooftop but I had to move indoors because of mosquitoes. Menu had a lot of variety but I finally settled for the suya sandwich. I requested for beef but they had run out, so settled for the chicken which I must say was delicious. All the dishes we had were very tasty. Cocktails were really enjoyable and not watered down. I will definitely visit here again when I'm in town. All in all, good value for money.
