Danny Boy's Famous Original Pizza

Heard many good things so we gave them a try. Ordered delivery to the pool. We were not disappointed! We loved it. Kiddos loved it. Even delivered the crust was crispy. Sauce is on point. All around great pizza!

Delicious. Recommend for a quick slice, and not heavy on stomach. Ssaucy with rich taste from the sausage and cheese. Soft crust with a slight crunch. Garlic knots were buttery and soft inside. Very filling.

I saw this pizza place when leaving the Hammer museum. I looked up its reviews and saw that it was a 4.8. What I high review I thought. Pizza must be good. I had a plain slice and it was honestly average. It was also expensive. $5 for a slice. They got the NYC style crust correct but the cheese and sauce flavor are very lacking. Then I saw a little sign on my table that they give a free cookie for a 5 star review. Then I understood why the reviews are so high. Skip this place if you are looking for good pizza and skip a place that has an artificially high rating.

I'd heard so many good things, i had to try it for myself. Best pizza I've had anywhere. No joke. Garlic knots and meatballs were also out-of-this-world good. Really cool atmosphere inside in a great location by UCLA. Can't wait to go back.

One of the greats on the westside. This must be a great spot for the college kids. The owner was great and very hospitable. Gave out Pizza stickers to my daughter. Will come again if we are in the area.

1st time here, ordered a hot supreme, garlic knots and fountain drink. Fresh out of the oven and looked amazing. Pizza itself tasted amazing but with all the toppings the middle of the pizza got a little soggy and collapsed. None the less it was still good. Had a lot of other traditional options as well. Will be back for sure

Eric at Danny Boy's in Westwood made my first time here such an amazing experience. He could tell it was my first visit and was so knowledgeable and thoughtful with his recommendations. Everything he suggested was spot on and really yummy. He even made the wings extra crispy for me, which took them to the next level. The cookie, house salad, wings, square pizza, and the ranch were all delicious. You could tell Eric genuinely cares about the food and making sure people have a great experience. I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this spot.

It's good, cheap, New York style pizza in Westwood. You can order at the register with a person (who warmly greeted us when we walked in) or on their computers to limit human interaction. After ordering, I was sitting outside waiting for my order and was told they were putting away the furniture at 6pm. I was wondering why they were taking the furniture in so early when closing wasn't until 9pm. However, I was able to thankfully grab the last table inside to dine at with my friend after being asked to move. The pizza is thin and floppy as it should be, with a good undercarriage that holds steady for consumption. Crust was chewy enough and loved both styles we ordered. The pepperoni was packed with little meat discs and good flavor. I loved their White Pie pretty well loaded with mushrooms. I was impressed with the amount of ingredients on each slice. Overall, I liked Danny Boy's and wouldn't mind coming back for more!

I received a coupon on the mail for a free slice of cheese pizza, and if anyone is wondering how to kidnap me, enticing me with free pizza is clearly the way. I made it a point to stop by the Westwood Danny Boy location for my free slice, and added the mozzarella sticks and a slice of pepperoni. I'm usually not impressed with by-the-slice pizza eateries as the pizza always looks like it's been sitting out awhile and is stale, but holy yum the cheese slice was delicious! The mozzarella sticks were good, hot and crispy, and the pepperoni slice was also good, but the cheese slice was the stand out winner for me. The chocolate chip cookie was thin and gooey and the perfect way to end, or start, I don't judge, the meal. Not to mention the decor. Giant pizza lights hanging from the ceiling?! I think my dining room needs one. Staff was great, no complaints. Will I be back? I think yes. I really enjoyed my cheese slice. Bonus: great by-the-slice pizza, so I didn't have to commit to a whole pie, no matter how much I wanted to. Bogus: parking. We all know parking in Westwood is a PITA, and I hear they just parking rates significantly.

First time trying Danny Boy's and I had a great time. Solid pizza with plenty of seating and a great atmosphere. I was just at Flour Pizzeria down the street and tried "The Strach". The closest thing on the menu is the Margarita so, I got a slice of that to compare. There isn't as much of an emphasis on quality here, but the slice was $2 cheaper and still a serious slice. My one complaint at Flour was their red sauce. There wasn't enough flavor in it. Here at Danny Boy's, they've got their red sauce dialed in perfectly. It's bursting with flavor. Like I mentioned earlier, atmosphere inside is great. It well decorated and it seems like a lot of thought was put into the design elements so, I was surprised when my to go slice was in a brown paper bag. I purposely got my slice to go to see what they were bringing to the custom pizza box game. Unfortunately, it looks like you need to get a whole pie to see that. I'm excited to come back to Danny Boy's and explore more of their menu!

Loved this place! Everyone is friendly. I had the Italian salad and a pep pizza. Salad ingredients were fresh and the pizza was superb. Perfect crust and I love that the sauce and cheese were not over salted. Great balance! I will be back! Side note... great ambience and rad light fixtures. Very clean as well.

Highly regarded and recommended by my nephew and while at appointment we stopped in for a few slices.....Delicious!! Definitely passed my NY slice test and was very tasty!!! Pepperoni of course, meatball and mushroom......Loved the pepperoni but the meatball was absolutely delicious and the winner!!! Unfortunately mushroom our least favorite? Highly recommend this spot!!! Staff were so friendly and very attentive to any and all our special requests!!

My new favorite pizza place in Westwood! Came here with a group of friends for lunch. It was my first time trying to place and I wasn't disappointed! Firstly, the restaurant is pretty spacious. Lots of seating and great for any amount of people you may come with. You are greeted by the friendliest staff who were great in explaining the options laid out on the menu and on the board. There's a good amount of pizza amounts. I ended up opting for the chicken Parmesan sandwich which was delicious. The portion size was filling and I was able to save the other half for later. One of my friends got the garlic knots which looked delicious and was huge! I definitely have to try them the next time I visit. I highly recommend!

The cheese slice was my favorite, the grandma slice was good too, but I prefer the cheese more. The buffalo wings were 10/10. The ranch sauce was also 10/10. I didn't care for the mozzarella sticks and the garlic knot (not pictured) were just OK, would t get them again. Would definitely return!

The smell pulled me in and I couldn't help myself from getting a classic pepperoni New York style slice pizza. This place has got my mouth watering and I would say is 10/10 when it comes to getting your pizza craving fulfilled.

Sausage Pizza: 5/10 - very underwhelming - bad sausage, bad crunch, lacks flavor and freshness Margherita: 7.5/10 - best under carriage - good sauce - didn't seem fresh either though, carried by undercarriage and crunch Pepperoni: 7.2/10 -solid honey - great color and decent flavors - heavily lacked a good crunch Mozzarella sticks: 7.5/10 - great cheese pull - texture was okay - solid flavor All in all: - Seems inconsistent - Good sauce but crunch varies heavy from spice to spice - dude walked out of the stall and didn't wash his hands I think the restaurant's ambiance was really well designed and takes you back to a classic pizza joint. The service was great and the lady at the front was really nice; however, the guy walking out of the stall and not washing his hands grossed me out

Real pizza. Giant slice 5 dollars. Bargain. Had the cheese, I'm not adventurous. But there were lots of choices and nice clean tables. Service was prompt and sweet. Right near the Broad Museum. Convenient.

I am a NYC transplant, they know how to serve a solid slice! Every Saturday they make a new pizza, sometimes they are amazing. The use a quality pepperoni. The sauce to cheese balance is correct and the crust crunchy. I am not usually Sicilian fan but their's is delish!

Danny Boy's is helping push back on the narrative that LA doesn't make good pizza. They offer an excellent NY-style slice (I love the mushroom), and have expanded into other items as well. In particular, on this visit I got the pepperoni Sicilian ($6) and the chicken Parmesan sandwich ($14). I really enjoyed the Sicilian slice - it was packed with cheese, sauce, and pepperoni - the undercarriage was especially impressive. It was browned and crunchy, supporting the mass of toppings well. The sandwich was tasty, but nothing to write home about. Breaded chicken, mozzarella, and tomato sauce are going to be delicious, and it was, but that was about it. I would stick to the pizzas, to state the obvious. Though I do plan to try one of their giant cookies next time!

One of my all time fave NY slices!! I bring all my friends here because I'm like no you guys have to try this pizza!! Everyone agrees so far! I've only tried the pizza and Italian cold cut sandwich here. The salads look delish and are huge. Will try one of those soon! Ordering is easy with the two touch screen kiosks by the door. I love that they have hot honey as one of the condiments on the condiment table with the cheese, peppers, and oregano. Seriously try the hot honey on any slice and it elevates the flavor so much! Plenty of seating indoors and some outdoors too. I love the giant pizza slices on the ceiling. I never noticed before but they have merch and it's cute! Another cool thing about this place is the collabs and limited edition items/combinations they have! Food is a creative outlet and I love seeing people have fun with food and constantly creating new versions.

I stumbled across this restaurant while on my lunch break at work. All I gotta say is Danny Boys is a great restaurant with great service, and a great atmosphere. I will be back soon!

Best pizza in Westwood! Came during lunchtime and got a couple of slices. Loved the sauce on the margherita, which had a very thin crust - just enough to hold the ingredients. Also got a slice of meatball ricotta, which was heartier. I should have ordered some ranch to dip my slices and missed out on the thick slices (I've heard they're even better!). Lots of seating available, both indoor and outside. I wish I still lived in Westwood so I could make Danny Boy a regular thing. Two-hour free parking at the Broxton Garage before 5pm.

Danny Boys blew me away! The pizza was perfectly cooked with amazing flavor, but the standout for me was the meatball and ricotta, it tasted like a slice of lasagna on a pizza. So rich, so comforting, and absolutely delicious. The setup is clean and welcoming, and the prices are super reasonable. Affordable for families or anyone just craving great pizza without breaking the bank. What really made the experience special was the owner. He was incredibly down to earth and genuinely took the time to sit and chat with us. You can tell he's passionate about what he does, and it shows in every bite. Cam in the front was also so great! Super sweet and fun! He's a keeper! Wishing him continued success he's serving up one of the best pies around!

Amazing staff!! This was my first time here, and they did not disappoint... I called before I came in to ask if they have BBQ Chicken and unfortunately they only have it as a special every every couple months. Although, that gets made up for with how amazing the pizza is and how welcoming the staff is. Cam and everyone else I talked to had such great energy giving the whole place a super friendly vibe!! 10/10 would come again (even though i'm an hour away.)

Stopped by during the crazy hustle and bustle of my day since I was in the area. I hadn't had breakfast or lunch so I was starving! I had Danny Boy's on my hit list for a while and I was excited to finally try it out. I started off with their yummy garlic knots. The pepperoni pizza had a little kick to it and it was pretty good. The White Shroom pizza sounded appealing, but unfortunately lacked the flavor I was hoping. I had to tip it in the marinara sauce from the garlic knots to give it more of a taste. However the crust was perfectly crispy!!! Perfection. I met the owner Dan, who was really cool (see attached photo!) and I hope his business will flourish! Definitely try their pomegranate lemonade. It was very tasty and tangy!

Danny Boy Pizza never disappoints. The veggie pie is loaded with fresh, perfectly cooked vegetables, melty cheese, and a crust that's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Every bite was full of flavor and super satisfying. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. Hands down one of the best veggie pizzas I've had -- I'll definitely be back for more!

My new favorite pizza in LA. The Sicilian pepperoni slices are so damn good. The crust is fluffy and toasty and the sauce is sweet and topped with crispy cup pepperonis.

The pizza is soooo good especially the white shroom! The slices are pretty big and very filling. The garlic knots are definitely a hit as well. Friendly service, great music and a causal ambiance. This place is located in Westwood village so parking can be tough depending on the time of day (Street/meter parking). There's a few parking lots around but it will be a little walk.

A win is a win. I really enjoy Danny Boy's Pizzas with a preference for entire pies over individual slices. Slices seem to be inconsistent in temperature. I've ordered whole pies and slices for both dine in and to go options. The whole pies are wonderful every time. The pizza, itself, is a New York style pizza with a thin crust. The BBQ chicken and margarita pizzas are STAND OUT! So tasty. The service is quick and friendly. The restaurant is well kept, clean, and fun. Highly recommended checking this place out if you're on the Westside. Although I must admit Secret Pizza is still my personal favorite.

My friends and I were craving pizza the other night, and decided to try this newer place in Westwood :) It's towards the south side of Westwood, in a cute little shop. I think the interior was really cool, especially the pizza lights they have hanging on the ceiling. I ordered the Sicilian pizza slice, with extra crisp and corner piece. MMM they did get the crisp part perfectly well - it was so yummy. The bottom of the pizza helped add a crunch in every bite. You can also get crisp on the pepperoni, adding more flavor to the pizza overall. The proportions were pretty solid. Did not really interact with the service, but it was fine. We watched a UCLA basketball game while waiting for our pizzas :)

So Delicious! . Came here for lunch after visiting the Hammer museum across the street. I wish I lived closer.. this is a great spot! Good food, TVs for the games, and beer.. I want to try the mozzarella sticks next time

New York style pizza is legit! Super thin crust, large slices, delicious all around. Order by the slice or a whole pizza, plus they have vegan and gluten-free options. As good as the food is, the 5 stars is for their generosity during this chaotic week with the LA fires. The Danny Boy's team has been active on IG, responding to calls from the community to feed firefighters, shelters, and volunteers. I don't even know how many pizzas they've donated, but I personally picked up 15 pizzas from them for the shelter at the Westwood Rec Center. Amazing response!! There are angels here. Thank you for supporting the community! This space used to be an 800 Degrees Pizza back in the day, and the layout is mostly the same. Tables and counter seats, very clean. Parking can be tough in Westwood, but there are metered spots and nearby parking lots (like the Broxton lot). Highly recommend!! Support local businesses!

I always come back for Half off Mondays just for their mozz sticks and beer. Great pizza, especially the meatball ricotta.

Amazing slices. I got the cacio e pepe and meatball with ricotta slices. I particularly like that the meatball slice had a tang from the tomatoes to balance out the grease from the cheese and meat. This could contend as one of the best slices I've had in this city. The cacio e pepe had a good cheesy taste to it, but I didn't get the black pepper taste. Nonetheless, still a solid slice. Overall, I would drive across town to get a bite of this again. Solid 5/5.

In my humble opinion, best pizza in LA. They have amazing weekly specials that are up there with some of the most unique pizza flavors I've ever had. I've had some other great pizzas in LA over the decade I've lived here, but this has become my absolute go to spot.

Disclaimer - I'm not a pizza lover, my guess is that the pizza under carriage/crust was cooked inconsistently so it affected how we enjoyed each slice. Order: * Margherita Slice ~ best under carriage (out of all the pizzas we got), good flavor, good crunch!! * Meatball Slice ~ lacks crunch, meat was mid, overall kinda soggy * Pepperoni Pie (with Basil) ~ great color, lacks crunch * Mozz Sticks (5) ~ cheesyyy pull, solid flavor Service was chill but my friend observed a staff walking out of the bathroom without washing his hands (pretty NYC of him LOL). Decorations were pretty cool, gave off an authentic Italian NYC vibe :)

Growing up in the 'Wood I had always relied upon Lamonica's and Numero Uno for pies. Both establishments received many, many dollars of mine throughout the years. Today, my go-to in the 'Wood is Danny Boy's... reminds me so much of slices in NYC. Their sauce is perfectly seasoned and doesn't upset my middle aged tummy as much as so many other pie joints around Westside! Their sausage pie with fresh basil is to die for. Fantastic new-ish NY pizza spot in Westwood Village! I saw their sandwich board signs outside and decided to stop in. The dining room is clean and gorgeous, definitely an inviting hangout spot where you could spend some time. They sell pizza by the slice, and I was pleasantly surprised that they had several slice options, not just the basic cheese and pepperoni choices. The slices were very wide and big (close to true NY style), and the crust was spot on for flavor and texture. I feel like my go-to NY pizza spot Lamonica's has gone downhill lately so I'm happy that Danny Boy's opened. What really sets this place apart though is the service. The worker at the front was incredibly nice and offered me ranch dressing that they make from scratch. He seemed genuinely happy to be there and to help me out as a first-timer. Go Danny Boy's!
