A gem of a restaurant that can proudly boast and live up to its reputation as the only Michelin-starred restaurant in Queens. Have been here twice and enjoyed each visit. The grilled calamari with white beans and ricotta gnocchi appetizers are delectable and the fish, duck confit and steak entrees are cooked to perfection. The restaurant has a nice relaxed vibe and you can tell it's a great neighborhood spot. Would gladly dine here again.

I enjoyed this place a lot. The ambiance was lovely and the location just beautiful. I encourage anyone dining here to plan to take a walk around Forest Hills Gardens before or after dinner--it will make the whole experience quite majestic. That being said, I thought the portion sizes were way too small for the expensive prices. Perhaps I'm spoiled because I lived in the East Village prior to moving to Queens, where places like Danny Brown were a dime a dozen and you could easily find one that would thoroughly feed you for a semi reasonable price. That's not to say I wouldn't come back. I would just prefer bigger portions or lower prices so I could order more food.

I had to visit the only restaurant in Queens with a Michelin Star. The food lived up to its hype, our favorite dishes were the grilled calamari on a bed of arugula and white beans and the special of the day, which was beef tartare served with a fried quail egg on top. We also enjoyed the roasted organic red beets as a side dish.

Quaint small restaurant in Forest Hills. The chef tries to use all fresh local ingredients. The prices range from moderate to expensive. There is a prixe fixed menu, which changes monthly. The prixe fixed three-course menu changes monthly. The gazpacho was extremely tasty and cooling. The other appetizers are quite good. I had the brick chicken, which is one of the specialties. The steak is good. Made well. Cooked to perfection. On Thursdays, there is a wine special. 25 percent off all bottles of wine. Nice way to spend an evening with friends. Service is excellent.

I loved the open kitchen concept; it really made me feel like I was in someone's tastefully decorated home. We ordered a nice bottle of sweet Riesling to celebrate. The cheese and meats dish was pretty fabulous. Note to all you cheese lovers: get the large board and go with some lactose intolerant folks. I did, and then proceeded to finish almost the entire thing, but I had to save room for my entrees. The selection was fantastic, and I really enjoyed both the chicken liver mousse and pork pâté. However, I was not very impressed by the main course which my friend and I both ordered. It had such a medicinal herb taste that was way too overpowering. It was supposed to be a beef with rosemary and thyme- both of which I have cooked with before. I even brought my whole remaining dish home, watered it down and re-cooked it, but was unable to rid it of that taste. By the way, it isn't very MTA-friendly. You will have to travel via train and then transfer to a local bus.

I tried the braised shoulder of veal and roasted skate, which were both nice, but not spectacular. The restaurant is a bit out of the way from the city, and we went on a food adventure because of the Michelin star, but I had higher expectations on the food. Service was excellent and the staff were very friendly.

Danny Brown is the best restaurant in Queens, with L'Incontro a very close second. Every time I introduce friends to this place, they say it is the best chicken they have ever eaten. Staff and management are super friendly and professional.

Been here a few times and always enjoyed the high quality food that Danny dishes out. Nice wine, good cheese and creative dishes. Its one of the only higher end restaurants in this part of Queens.
