Dao'n - Review - Spring Branch - Houston - The Infatuation

"Dao'n describes itself as “modern Korean food,” which in this case means a mix of Korean classics, a few fusion twists, and the occasional dish that feels like it wandered in from a nearby restaurant. The casual dining room has a small bar and cubicle-like booths that offer more privacy than you’d expect from a place slinging bulgogi and fajitas under the same roof (plus a few walled-off rooms if you need secrecy). One minute you’re digging into chewy stir-fried rice cakes with pork jowl, the next you’re twirling bites of “Steak Diane alfredo” and learning to stop asking questions and just enjoy the ride. photo credit: Nicolai McCrary Most of the food is pretty good, whether you’re sticking with the hits—seafood pancakes, banchan, braised galbi—or following the menu off the beaten path. It’s probably not a place you need to cross town for, but if you’re already in the area or just looking to break up your Friday night Korean BBQ routine, Dao'n is a fun way to mix familiar flavors with some real curveballs. Come with an open mind, a big appetite, and maybe a friend who appreciates both tteokbokki and alfredo sauce. Food Rundown Steak Diane Pasta There are two pastas on the menu—one with gochujang cream sauce, and the steak diane pasta billed as their signature. This is a creamy mushroom sauce over fettuccine, topped with a sliced steak. It’s a pretty tasty plate, even if it feels out of place on the menu. photo credit: Nicolai McCrary Seafood Pancake A fairly standard version, but a bit light on the seafood—especially at $25. We found a few baby shrimp and the occasional piece of squid, and not much else. photo credit: Nicolai McCrary Soy Salmon Over Rice This salmon looks like it was cut blindfolded. Some pieces are short and stubby, others are six inches long and thin as paper, so you end up wiht a few massive chunks of raw fish that are a little unappealing to look at and to eat. photo credit: Nicolai McCrary Pork Jowl Rice Cake The MVP of the menu. The pork jowl is crispy, the rice cakes are slightly blistered and perfectly chewy, and sweet bell peppers add a fresh crunch. photo credit: Nicolai McCrary" - Nicolai McCrary

The atmosphere is beautiful and amazing, the food is even greater. I ordered four dishes and everything was amazing! The service is top notch! We ordered the dark katsu ball, steak Diane pasta, Dao’n tx half ribs and the pork Joel rice cake! The whole experience was so amazing the owner is so sweet and attentive to customers! This experience was definitely something to remember! 10/10 recommend!

My husband and I came here for the first time for a late dinner. We didn’t have any special expectations — we just stopped by because we were hungry. The menu looked like a bit of a fusion mix, but the moment the food arrived, the wonderful aroma drew us right in. Before we knew it, we were eating and loving every bite! Of course, everyone has different tastes, but for us, it was a really satisfying meal. We were also touched by the detailed explanations and the service — intelligent, warm, and genuinely kind. It left a great impression on us. Please don’t get me wrong — we have absolutely no connection to the owner! ^^

Starting with the the interior DAO'N feels relaxing with a lot of wood details and warm but dim lighting. Service is excellent, with no hiccups during our meal here. Now the food- the salad- now I don't care for salads, but this sesame tofu salad is fantastic, I don't eat salads in general without some steak or chicken on top, somehow they made the tofu has this feta cheese like texture, without the saltiness, it carries the sauce flavor well. Such a great and enjoyable salad. Pork jowl and rice cake is perfect with soju. Their seafood pancake is huge, every bite has a light crisp followed by seafood and a thin light layer of soft batter. Steak Diane pasta. Hey this pasta is quite good, steak is cooked well and flavorful, I believe it's a skirt cut, but that's just my guess. Delicious in general. Now the don katsu is special. Whatever they did with the batter, it's amazing. Even as it cooled off the level of crisp doesn't change. That's all I had so far. Will definitely return to try out soups and other dishes.

This was a great experience. We are Korean and we had heard the news that this new place had opened up and that it was Korean fusion. It was solid and the food options were creative. The flavors were creative yet traditional and some were completely new. We had dukboki which had delicious pork in it and was more of a drier less saucy feel and was sweeter, the gochujang pasta was to die for - very solid twist on a creamy Alfredo sauce… the donkatsu was crispy and simple, the banchan were simple clean veggies and the kimchi was perfectly seasoned and ripened. We had army stew and this was our least favorite because it was just normal and wasn’t that spicy hahaha. We also loved the black sesame tofu salad to start. The servers and staff were all happy and friendly and our fave was the Korean table bell for service on the wall. It’s not rude. You just press it and they show up. No need to look for or wave down or scream for your server. See pics and videos! The area needed a solid new restaurant and this place delivers. We had reservations for 6:30 and we walked in at 6:34 and were sat right away. It got pretty busy and loud but we could still talk. There are some private rooms on the side for larger parties which you can reserve. The potato jeon was so good - basically a latke/potato pancake. Sharing a pic of the lunch special menu options, currently available on weekends as well 11:30-3pm. If you are looking for old school Korean flavors, spicier and like your mom’s home cooking, this is not your place and there are others right down the road. But, if you want a good vibe, a cool new place to eat, lots of options and fusion food that is based on a Korean flavor palate, def check it out! Every. Single. Table. Was filled at 7pm on Saturday.

Google
All foods were beyond my expectation. Pork jowl rice cake - It's not the typical tteokbokki style. It's more like tteokkochi style and the vegetable and meat complemented each other to create perfect harmony. Steak diane pasta - The steak was ordinary but the sauce had the perfect level of creamy and thick taste. Potato pancake - My favorite. It has all the tastes a potato pancake should have. It was crispy and chewy at the same time.

Google
This felt like a very modern, urban dining experience. The cocktail menu, to start, was absolutely on point. I had the Eve Flower...delicious! We had the katsu balls and spicy pork and squid over rice. I was totally expecting white rice and definitely not. Everything was really good. We are a childless couple and enjoy dinner most when the vibe is chill. This. Was. That! Totally would eat this again! 😋

Google
This place is a little hidden gem! We came on a quiet rainy Monday, so it wasn’t too crowded and felt nice and cozy. Our service was great and the food came out pretty fast. We had the spicy squid over pork and rice and the gochujang pasta. All I can say is wow! The spice levels were so good, and the flavors were so unique and tasty. The portions are also large, and we left so full. We definitely will be back again!

Grace L.

Google
We very much enjoyed our dinner at Dao’N. It’s a unique spin on traditional Korean dishes. My favorite dish tonight by a landslide were the beef ribs. It was perfectly cooked and marinated. We will come back to try their meat platters and bring the kids next time! The servers were so nice and friendly, a nice change from other traditional Asian restaurants. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Modern Korean food is the best way to describe the food here. It was quite empty when my friend and I went. So I seriously hope more and more people will know about Da O'n and check it out. Very clean. There's a button to get your server so that's nice too. Less disruptive when you don't have to hold your conversation to get the server's attention. And the food was delicious! Some homey feels with the soup, some crunch to the rice cake (tteokbokki) when expect it to be only chewy. And I'm totally for it!
google avatar

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it was miss. There was no flavor in the Napa cabbage soup that we had to ask for salt, and the pork jowl was sooo chewy it was inedible. Da O'n was Da' O'ff

Yelp
This spot aims for a more upscale, modern Korean fine-dining experience, and it certainly delivers on the ambiance...The interior is clean and stylish, with spacious seating and private rooms. However, the food didn't quite live up to the premium price tag for me. The meats were just okay, I didn't see any difference in quality from what you may get at some of these other more affordable Korean options down the street. My friend was bold to get the tartare (I wasn't a fan). All dishes were pretty solid but for the price point of 1-2x what you pay at other spots on this street. (For the vibes and the ambiance I suppose) I did like Tteokbokki though as my favorite dish of the night (well seasoned and had a satisfying crunch). The service was attentive, there's a call button you can hit like most Korean restaurants, we got some recommendations and I tried out a mocktail off their menu as well. Overall, it's a bit more pricey on some dishes which I already consider Korean cuisine to be overrated for the price point. Some hits and misses here, not sure I'll come back.

Yelp
Service here was great and I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant, however the food here is alright. We got several things to share: Army Stew: pretty basic, comes out in a large pot and has all the fixings--sausage, ramen, pork belly, tofu, etc. Steak Diane Pasta: the pasta sauce wasn't memorable, but the steak itself was tender, moist and cooked perfectly. Gochujang Pasta: was looking forward to this the most, but the dish tasted very one note--not much of a flavor profile here. The pasta was al dente, but overall very okay. Corn Cheese: again, standard Potato Pancake: this was crispy and had a nice bite to it. I quite enjoyed this. Soy Salmon: probably my favorite dish. It tasted the most flavorful as well as well-balanced. The fish was tender and seasoned and the sauce was tangy and savory. Again service was great and the staff was so welcoming and sweet, but food was just very okay to me.

Yelp
Modern Take on Korean Cuisine Tony the Kitchen Manager took care of us for the night - huge thanks to him. He was absolutely delightful and passionate about the food. After he gave us a detailed run down of the menu we ordered: Beef Tartare, Soy Salmon over Rice, Steak Diane Pasta, and Spicy Brisket Soup. I'm typically a sucker for tartare, but for this tartare, not so much. It looked pretty unappetizing. Why? It looked like ground beef you'd get from the grocery store. I've never had tartare look like it came straight out of a meat grinder... and although it tasted decent, the presentation def took away from it. The Steak Diane Pasta was also a let down for us. The steak was cooked and seasoned beautifully, but the pasta was heavy and the sauce tasted reminiscent of mustard. Let's just say we opted to finish the steak. Now, on to the good stuff, the Soy Salmon over Rice. Hands down our favorite dish of the night. Since it had been marinated for so long, the salmon was a flavor bomb!! The portion of salmon was also huge, totally worth it. A purple multi grain rice, egg yolk, and bed of salad also accompanied the salmon, making for the perfect combo. The Spicy Brisket Soup was a close second - rich and perfectly spicy. Incredible. Overall, service was awesome, the food was a bit on the pricey side with some dishes falling short of expectation and other dishes just absolutley nailing it. There is room for improvements and with a few tweaks, I could see this place nailing ALL the dishes. Looking forward to see DA O'N grow.

Yelp
Da'On is such a hidden gem in Houston! The stand out for me was the spicy pork and squid over rice - it had a perfect balance of heat and flavor without being overwhelming. The soy bean soup was just as good, comforting and hearty, and I loved that everything was flavorful without being too salty. Service was quick and friendly, and the food came out fresh and hot. They also gave us 2 mocktails (green apple and lychee) to try out and they were both so good! Definitely want to come back to try the other food items soon!!

Yelp
Korean fusion spot in Spring Branch Korea Town that I've been dying to try and I'm so glad I finally did. Everything we ordered was flavorful and well done. The corn pancake was hands down my favorite -- crispy, sweet, and so addicting. We also had the fried rice cake, bulgogi, and the pasta with steak and every dish hit the mark. Fresh ingredients, great seasoning, and good portions. Service was friendly, the space felt casual, and overall it's a spot I'll definitely be coming back to. If you go, do yourself a favor and order the corn pancake.

Yelp
I came here on a Friday night around 9 PM and it was surprisingly very empty. Here is a list of things that were ordered: Soy Salmon over Rice Spicy Brisket Soup Gochujang Pasta The soy salmon over rice is a great choice if you're looking for a dish that's on the lighter/refreshing side. The fish was marinated well and I loved how the creaminess from the salmon and egg yolk was balanced out well with the greens and purple rice. Not to mention, the fried garlic chips added a boost of flavor As for the spicy brisket soup, at first I thought the broth was a little lackluster in flavor but to be honest, after eating the soy salmon and banchan (side dishes) that were slightly more salty, that could be why. Because when I ate the leftovers the next day, I thought it was perfectly fine. I also loved how there was more beef underneath the sliced brisket so I appreciate how they're not skimping on portions! Not to mention, the beef was tender and juicy. Last but not least, the gochujang pasta. I honestly don't know if I could distinctively taste the gochujang but it was still delicious! The service was friendly, attentive, and quick- I also appreciate them boxing up our leftovers. In terms of decorations, the exterior and interior are well-designed and the bathrooms were also very clean. Overall, Da'On is a little more on the pricey side but the quality of food was solid, the presentation was great, and I hope to come back and try other dishes!

Yelp
A modern twist on Korean food. Located in a small plaza strip. Easy to make reservation if needed. The inside was spacious with a casual and low lighting ambience. For our group of 6, we got seated in one of their private room. Their menu had a lot of their speciality items divided into different categories. We ordered the following to share as a group and it was plenty of food to go around: - seafood pancake - spicy squid and pork over rice - steak Diane pasta - gochujang pasta - soy salmon over rice - dak katsu ball - pork cutlet My favorite was the gochujang pasta and spicy squid and pork over rice. The gochujang pasta was definitely different. Not too spicy and great blend of flavors on the pasta sauce. Steak Diane pasta was also another great choice for pasta. Medium rare on the steak. The soy salmon was also good and I love that it was the purple rice versus white rice. A lot of their dishes came with purple rice and a spring mix salad. Great portion and quality was consistent between all the dishes. Services were friendly and quick. We didn't have to wait long for each dish. We were checked in often by the manager and also server. They also have a call button by the wall if you need anything. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and I would definitely come back to try more of their menu.

Yelp
After seeing this restaurant blow up on TikTok, I was eager to see if the hype was worth it myself. I came here on a late Friday night since they are open with late hours. I expected it to be super busy however, there are more open chairs than there were people there which led us to be seated fairly quickly. However, out of all the seats, they could've sat us at, they seated us next to the only other visible table which was interesting.. also the tables, chairs, and ground felt sticky and seemed like the cut costs on furniture. They have two ginormous fans blowing in lieu of AC, I'm assuming which is perfectly fine. However, it is about 9 PM and the sun is fully set and I have a giant fan blowing directly at me leading to myself literally freezing in this restaurant. I ordered the steak diane pasta and the soy salmon. The pictures on the menus are vastly different from the final product. The presentation for the salmon was horrendous. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and allowed the flavor profile to shine however, there was no shining. The salmon was cut into ridiculously large chunks and it felt like I was eating a salmon fillet on a bed of lettuce. The steak pasta looked a little better presentation wise however it feels like they bought their steak from Walmart, and the quality and cook of the steak had us chewing the entire meal. Additionally, the price in general were insane. The steak diane pasta and soy salmon were $28 and $24 respectively, which given the quality is not worth it at all. Overall, I was highly disappointed with the only positive being that the employees are nice and eager to serve us. However, I don't see myself coming here again, unless something drastically changes.

Yelp
Such a gem! Beautiful place. Staffs were the sweetest! Food was amazing! Definitely coming back to try other dishes!

Yelp
We made a reservation here for my birthday this year and thoroughly enjoyed our time and meal here. Service was attentive and friendly. They gave us a room to ourselves and we could even close the doors if we wanted more privacy. My cousins really loved the experience. We ordered a handful of items and all ate the food as we gather in on each other's company. The food wasn't bad but on the pricier side. I did enjoy my appetizers and food options. We will definitely come back when there is another opportunity!

Yelp
Some hits and misses but decent overall. They are still waiting on their liquor license so only mocktails available for now. Pork platter was the best dish of the night with 3 varieties of pork, corn cheese and soybean stew. Gochujang pasta was very good but had 3 random raviolis along with the fettucine style noodles which was a little confusing. They tasted fine but I felt they were out of place. The crispy cheese bites are not very flavorful and too big and difficult to eat. Dak katsu balls were also underwhelming.
google avatar

Jenny K.

Yelp
This is a spacious Korean restaurant located in spring branch area. I really wanted to like this place, but personally it was WAY too salty for me. I had pork jowl rice cake & spicy pork over rice and it was just too salty. The staff were nice and menu had a variety of food, but the only thing that I thought it was decent was beef tartare arrowroot noodles (least salty out of everything else I had).
google avatar

Deborah N.

Yelp
Okay, okay...this place was hyped up for me but I decided not to go in with any expectations though! We ordered their pork skewers as an appetizer, but when you get it, the meat chunks are HUGE, and they give you 5 (corrected also) skewers! It's a lot of food for just two people! While it may disguise as an appetizer, it's really almost an entree, unless you have a party of 6 ! They really stress on family style and sharing throughout their menu but it's not really advertised that way. We really enjoyed the Diane pasta and the bone beef soup...but I do feel like this place is better shared with a larger crowd. They give you big portions! They also only give you one rice per soup order and a nice variety of banchan. *correction: previously, I said they were BYOB but I was wrong! They are not BYOB but will be obtaining their license to sell alcohol in May. The ambience and vibe really give a cozy, K-drama-esque date night vibe but I think they definitely need to tweak some things especially on their menu and truly add some smaller appetizers to their menu...

Yelp
I've been craving some katsu and was happy to see the pork cutlets on their menu. It was everything I wanted it to be. Crunchy, hot, tender, flavorful with the perfect accompaniments of the slightly sweet sauce, lightened with the brightness/freshness of the cabbage and the comfort of the seaweed rice. Perfect. While I was disappointed individual servings of some of their soups were only available at lunch time, they did have a mushroom porridge on the dinner menu so I had to try it and was not disappointed. It was delicious!! All their banchan was on point too. They were all good but the bean sprouts and cucumber kimchi were especially good. I could've eaten them by the bowlful. I can't wait to come back and try other items on their menu.

Yelp
Da o'n is a great Modern Korean restaurant with a nice vibe. It has some great classic korean dishes. I got the tofu soup and mackeral. Great umami flavors and large portions. My fiance got the fire chicken. It has a lot of great mocktail options and we tried the yuzu mojito mocktail. So yummy. Try the lunch special, it won't disappoint!
google avatar

Sophia L.

Yelp
Fantastic service- very attentive and welcoming. Also has the classic button for the korean dining- you push the button to call the waiter when you need the service. Food portion is very generous. It's easily 2 meals for me. Food tastes very fresh with lots of umami flavor. The raw beef was also tasted fresh without lingering smell. It is more modern upscale korean so tends to be very pricey. The only complaint I had about my dish was that the rice was too sticky- perhaps it was intentional by the chef? And my katsu sauce was too buttery for me. I prefer the original sauce maybe because I'm used to that.

Yelp
This spot was such a gem! We had a last minute plan to pick a nearby restaurant and I found this on Yelp and was able to easily book a table online right away! This spot is super aesthetic and service was friendly, they have a bell to press when you need anything. They have a lot of good Korean food options but you have to try the steak pasta, it is incredible. I literally finished my entire dish spotless and my bf was like yup I know you enjoyed that LOL. The steak is juicy and flavorful and goes well with the pasta sauce and noodles were yummy. We got the non alcoholic drink cocktails which were also delicious! Great amount of banchan, the only thing is their seafood pancake took a while to come and it wasn't crispy, but would try again if they could fix that! Definitely get the pasta if I didn't mention it enough times already LOL.

Yelp
Nifty take as a self described modern Korean cuisine. Tried a number of dishes here and overall everything was pretty good. I highly recommend the gochujang pasta and the pork platter.
google avatar

Jackie C.

Yelp
Cute restaurant with modern clean interior. Food was good but a very small menu compared to a lot of other Korean places in the area. The meat dish we ordered was slightly too salty. I'd come back if I was in the area but wouldn't go out of my way.

Yelp
Dao'n has a nice layout inside; many tables and some private rooms on the side. Service was great; our waiter was cool and funny! Started off with mocktails: yuzu mojito & peach blossom; both were good but I liked the yuzu one more! Banchan was ok; egg was good but kimchi was average (had better elsewhere). Appetizer: Potato pancake (tasty, fun to snack on) Ordered a few entrees: - Gochujang pasta: was excited for this but a bit underwhelming, sauce was good but not sautéed enough with the fettuccine noodles? Maybe the sauce could absorb better if spaghetti was used instead? - Brisket soy bean stew was delicious (also enjoyed the purple rice) - Spicy kimchi pork ssam was the highlight of the dinner; came w/ corn cheese (definitely needed to be heated more) & soybean paste stew (did not realize it came with the dish); didn't read the menu carefully since we thought the meat platters weren't available (a little confusing, tape on the menu said "coming soon") I would come back to dine again sometime in the future to try other options.

Yelp
Very interesting take on Korean food with a modern twist. The steak Diane pasta is good, but pricey. It's like a fancy beef stroganoff. Give it a try to make your own opinion. I will say they will have steep competition with other Korean restaurants nearby, so they should be prepared.
google avatar

Haiyin H.

Yelp
Very disappointing experience. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, but they seated us in a separate room--possibly because we had a baby, which felt a bit isolating and unwelcome, especially since there were only three other tables occupied. No one came to ask about drinks or offered a high chair. The food was just average--not worth the cold service. After we finished, my husband politely asked for a to-go cup for the soup. The server whose name is Jay acted like he didn't understand, then said "OK I get it." with a bad attitude. A few minutes later, he returned with a strange smile and asked my husband, "Is there any issue?" in a mocking tone. Extremely unprofessional and rude. We will not be coming back!!
google avatar

M L.

Yelp
Da o'n is a Korean restaurant which strives to be a fine dining establishment. It has a very decent menu with variety of options. Ambience is slightly dark, somewhat loud music with chic deco. It is not a restaurant that I would bring a baby or child who needs a high chair. Food is decent to very good. We tried a couple of appetizers and Yuk Gae Jang. Service is good, prompt, and friendly. Each table has a bell to call a wait person. The restaurant has three private room. I think the wait staff needs to dress better if the restaurant wants to be a fine dining destination. Rating--4.2.

Yelp
Back at Da o'n two weekends in a row because I couldn't stop thinking about that brisket soybean stew it's legit comfort in a bowl. First time we went, my boyfriend got the pork cutlet and we wiped both plates clean. Second time around, I had to get the stew again (no regrets) and we also tried the Dao'n bulgogi... same result..gone. The food is so good, and the service has been amazing every time. Everyone's so sweet and attentive. I even tried a mocktail and it was super refreshing. This place is definitely becoming a regular spot for us!

Yelp
Cool spot tucked into a random strip. don't let the exterior fool you, the inside is modern, kinda cozy feeling. The food is legit. I didn't know what to expect, but everything we tried had flavor and felt thoughtful. Highlights: the soy-marinated salmon bowl was melt-in-your-mouth good, and the Steak Diane pasta sounds a little eccentric but totally works. The banchan is fun. Overall, lots of little dishes that keep things interesting. Service was good but slightly scattered. They forgot one of our sides and had to be reminded, and the pacing was off--we got our main before one of the appetizers. That said, the team seems like they care and I'd rather support a place that's trying than one that nails it in when it comes to service. It's not a fancy dinner spot, but it's perfect for a chill night out with really good food. I'd say have a little patience in this place will be great in a matter of weeks.

Yelp
Went here for lunch with a friend. The menu is very impressive and creative. I really wanted to try the whole menu, but went for the lunch special soon dubu with pork. One of the best I've had in Houston...definitely crave-worthy. Glad I live near-by so I can get started on trying some of the other interesting dishes!

Yelp
Finally got to try this new Korean restaurant! Overall, we enjoyed the experience. It is at a relatively higher price compared to a lot of other Korean restaurants in the area but not too expensive either. We ordered the spicy pork over rice (but received the squid and pork over rice somehow instead) and it was delicious! The flavor was on spot, just wished it had a bit more protein considering the price. Also got the Gochujang pasta- and it didn't disappoint us. It tasted creamy and with a good hint of spice; the only thing was we could hardly taste the gochujang flavor, and no protein in this dish. Throwing some shrimp on top would have been great since it was $26 (at a higher price range). Lastly, would not recommend their spicy brisket soup. It was blend. Maybe they forgot to put in some salt. They also have some interesting cocktails. We didn't order any this time but would love to come back and try more soon.

Yelp
This restaurant was relatively new but a great find! My friend and I had the soy marinated salmon over rice and the Steak Diane Pasta with the cheese bites as appetizer. Everything had great flavor and was cooked well. The salmon was marinated and was balanced well! The food almost seemed gourmet and fit for a high end restaurant but found in a pretty low-key and friendly place. The service was great and the owners were super nice. Very friendly and communicative. Would definitely come here again!

Yelp
This place opened recently around corner from my house. The service was great, Kevin was super friendly and very knowledgeable about food preparation, enjoyed talking with him about the cut of meat (brisket) he used for making the Bulgogi I had which was amazing, tender and just melted in my mouth. Husband had the Pork cutlet. The crisp on it was perfect (they make it themselves from local market bread). Crisp, light and airy. Will be coming back soon!

Yelp
I went during lunch time and there wasn't much traffic. The service was good, the table has a button that you press if you need assistance. The food was sooo good! The pasta was my favorite out of all the dishes , super flavorful and creamy. I genuinely contemplated asking the staff what playlist they were using because the music was really good!

Yelp
The restaurant is newly open. The environment is modern and great for hangout or family gatherings. The food is delicious! We ordered the seafood pancake which tastes really good! Fajita is a big portion and great for sharing. The service is amazing and very friendly! You can reserve the table ahead.

Yelp
This is easily one of the best Korean spots in Houston. From the moment you walk in, it feels warm and inviting, and the staff is so friendly that you immediately feel at home. The service is on point, attentive and quick, but never rushed. Now, the food? Absolutely incredible. Every dish is bursting with flavor, and you can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients. Whether you're in the mood for something hearty and comforting or light and flavorful, you really can't go wrong. The balance of spice, texture, and seasoning is just on point. If you're craving amazing Korean food with great service and a cozy vibe, this is the place. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
We got the korean pork and potato stew! It was amazing the drinks were non alcoholic yet cute and delicious. Haven't had korean corn done this well in a while too! Overall the ambiance was great and very authentic. My korean friend also said the food was delicious! The service was timely and since they have this button service. Pretty family friendly with private dining rooms offered too! Will be going back

Yelp
Hidden gem ! Very pretty romantic , they have nice decor , private rooms , delicious food , super attentive service , they even have a call button at the table , plenty of parking and , clean restrooms hence clean kitchen . We came on a Saturday for lunch good thing we were able to order lunch specials @ a reasonable decent price point $17-21 . We ordered kimchi pork fried rice & beef tofu stew - all were yummy . Flavorful & presentable . See my pic !

Yelp
Hate to leave anything less than a 3 star review but it's not worth the price. Cute place, one of the press button for service place. Drinks take a long while to come out and mocktails were not as decorated as on the menu (kids were disappointed). The $130 beef platter was overcooked with no flavor. The Dao'n soup must be an acquired taste because I can't describe what it is. The beef tartare was amazing. Grilled mackerel was good. Didn't expect the pepper flake on the steak Diane as it was not noted as spicy? Kid couldn't eat it. Noted in reservation that it's for birthday but nothing special was offered. We were sat at the front and unfortunately someone was smoking outside so every single time the door opens, adults and children in our party got a big inhale of all the second hand smoke. Would not say it's kid friendly, it's big group and friends hang out friendly though.

Yelp
Had a girls' night out with my sisters and mom -- and it was perfect. The cocktails were incredible (so unique with Korean flavors you won't find anywhere else), and every dish hit the spot. We loved the gochujang pasta, TX half ribs, and pork jowl rice cake -- all so flavorful and unlike anything we've had in Houston. Service was on point, I barely had to use the red button to call them over. Jae was great, and all servers stopped by the table to check on us. We noticed couples on dates and families dining in private rooms too, so it really feels like a place for any special occasion. Definitely coming back!

Yelp
Food is interesting. I think the overall ambience and aesthetic of the restaurant is a bit more catered to the IG/Tik Tok generation. Has a bit more of an edgy feel, which sort of flows into the vibes of the food. The food is tasty, but at a similar price point, you have many other options nearby that are a bit tastier. For me, it seemed like a dish that popped up quite a bit on social media and got fairly hyped was the steak on top of pasta. The steak, for me at least, was a bit overdone. The pasta and sauce, though, were delicious. I'd prefer the pasta a bit more al dente. Overall, a good experience. I think if their dishes are refined over time, then it'll be an even better experience. Service was attentive and excellent.

Yelp
My family and I tried this restaurant a few months ago for the first time. We loved it, we have only taken the food to go. the flavors are delicious, and the service has also been great. Would recommend.

Yelp
Went for the first time the other day since it was nearby where i worked and I was really wowed with the food! Everything was delicious. Only downside was that there was no alcohol but we understand that the restaurant was brand new and they didn't have the license for it yet. Will be going back to try more!

Yelp
We (2 adults and 3 kids) went to lunch on Saturday and had a great experience. We only ordered the pork platter, which came with soup, corn cheese, and 3 bowls of rice and it was enough for all of us. Service was great. Food was good, loved the green peppers. There's a few items on the menu that says "coming soon". We would come here again!

Yelp
Me and my boyfriend went here for dinner. The staff was super friendly and explained the menu in great detail. We ended up getting the steak pasta and the salmon bowl, both were really delicious. The restaurant was converted from a K-BBQ and I could kind of tell through the interior design. Overall a great experience, would go back for a special occasion.

Yelp
I've been a couple of times, the food is great, and the service is stellar. The katsu is tender and flaky to perfection and the bonchon are high quality.

Yelp
I would recommend this restaurant for a nice dinner. Went to the restaurant and ordered the Steak Diane Pasta and the Kimchi Pork Fried Rice. Both come better than expected. Great service. We also love the ambiance of the restaurant. Looking forward to our next visit to the restaurant.
