Walking around Main Street in Edmonds. I have my two childhood friends from the UK. Wanted to show off the food scene here in Edmonds. We walked around and even stopped together a physic reading. She interpreted my reading as I have negative energy around me, that I need to rise above. Whew, need a good drink after this dismal news. My friends were happy with Salt and Iron. I believe they thought the food was too fussy, but I loved it. They were appreciative of the food. So we kept walking afterwards. However, here is where they gave the highest marks in satisfaction. This is a small space, where you feel welcome once you enter. They have managed to create a special city oriented spot, nested in the middle of a more surburan setting.
What you first notice as you walk in, is the setting. Decorations on the walls have musical instruments, such as old vintage and antique guitars and other stringed instruments. Great to browse. Vintage event flyers are also among the decorations. There's a great food menu. I ordered the cheeseboard plate, which came with an excellent variety of cheeses. My friends dived into ordering a variety of drinks. They loved the services of the friendly bartender, who made some delicious recommendations on drinks for them. Frankly, we spent several hours here and they could have stayed many more hours. Music was relaxing, they played a variety of older jazz, which they loved. The uniqueness of this spot was well loved by my friends. The great service, wonderful and creative cocktails and a setting where they could relax was truly appreciated. A nice stretch of pace for me, this is a place I pr wouldn't have gone to on my own, but loved being here.
