"The tagine reigns supreme at Dar Yemma. Six lead the menu — kofta in tomato sauce, beef with peas and artichoke, chicken with olives and preserved lemon, lamb with prunes, shrimp, and fish. Each one is presented in a steaming clay pot with bread. Served in traditional Moroccan style, the couscous is doled out separately to stand in its own right. The royal couscous, for instance, indulges with merguez sausage, lamb, free-range chicken, chickpeas, and currants." - Caroline Shin, Robert Sietsema

"Moroccan restaurant Dar Yemma in Astoria has experienced a significant drop in its Google ratings due to a harassment campaign initiated by French influencer Kenza Benchrif, also known as Poupette. The negative reviews, written in French, have been accompanied by hate messages and calls from French phone numbers. The conflict began after the restaurant declined to pay the influencer for Snapchat stories promoting the venue. The situation escalated when Benchrif released a series of Snapchat videos implying that the wife of a manager at Dar Yemma attempted to kidnap her, an accusation denied by the restaurant's co-owner, Saber Bouteraa." - Caroline Shin

My first time ever try Moroccan food and it was excellent. Great food, nice and friendly staff and beautiful decoration. The lamb is a little bit dry but taste good, and all other dish is delicous.

We heard about this Moroccan spot and came to check it out for dinner. They have cute ethnic decor inside and it feels like quite a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The staff were very friendly. We ordered the shakshuka an as appetizer. It was very filling and delicious. We also ordered kofta sandwich and chicken sandwich, and they came with fries and a very taste spicy mayo like sauce. Very good value for the amount of food you get.

Came to Dar Yemma during Ramadan with my family. Had the Ramadan special of the day and it came with all the courses including those to break your fast to the ending tea set. Food was all delicious and lamb was tender. Best North African cuisine 🇩🇿

Google
10/10 service and food. I came here with my husband for date night, I’ll definitely come again with family and friends as well. The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating. They start you off with the warmest, fluffiest bread that melts like butter in your mouth! We had hummus and baba ganoush as appetizers. The most delicious Moroccan tagine and a special request of Tunisian kamounia as our mains. We finished our meal with refreshing drinks served in the cutest Moroccan ceramic cups!

I visited Dar Yemma yesterday, craving Couscous a lot and They really made it in the best way a Moroccan couscous can be. Food was delicious - we ordered couscous and Chicken Tajine and both were delicious and like home made. The service was great - the waitress was really kind and she welcomed us very warmly. I highly recommend if you want to try moroccan dishes.

Google
I had a chance to visit this restaurant after a quick Google search for a Mediterranean cuisine in Queens. I ordered a meatball tajine and my friend ordered lamb couscous. First, I received fish tajine instead of meatball by mistake. We asked for extra bread, and it never came to our table. Lastly, no waiter asked if everything was okay or if we needed anything. Overall, my experience was poor. I was also not amazed by the food quality.

Google
I’m still at the restaurant, but it was outstanding that I couldn’t wait to share my great experience with anyone looking for a delicious meal! I had the best lamb chops in my life!! (not exaggerating). My husband had chicken tajine, it was so good (I tried everyone’s food of course). The atmosphere is terrific! I didn’t catch his name but the waiter was so welcoming and helpful. Once you walk in you’re greeted with a Moroccan tea serving which literally feels like going to eat at your mama’s house. The Moroccan salad also was so fresh, after all the junk we had in the square, it was refreshing. Do yourself a favor and try their food! Update: returned two years later and the food was as amazing as the first time. The eggplant dip with flat bread was fresh, delish and light. My favorite lamb chops were juicy and delicious as last time. The burger was also juicy and had all the right ingredients. The complimentary tea at the end was a great end to a delightful experience. See you again next summer!

Yelp
Had been wanting to try this place for a while since I heard great things. It lives up to the hype! Mixed mezze: delicious. It came with hummus, baba ganoush, and zalouk. They were all scrumptious, but the zalouk, a mix of cooked tomato and eggplant, was a standout. I highly recommend. I would even try ordering the zalouk on its own to get a larger portion next time. The pita was also great. Lamb tagine: I don't even love lamb, but I knew I needed to try the lamb tagine here. It was so tender and delicious, not chewy at all, and the sauce that it was cooked in was super flavorful. The prunes and dried apricots in the mix were also a great accompaniment. The tagine came with pieces of bread. Barba (beet) salad: tasty beets, but there were also chunks of tomato which I'm not generally a fan of. Moroccan salad: pretty normal cucumber salad. I went on a Wednesday night and it was fairly quiet, with still a few occupied tables.

Yelp
Very yummy dishes! We loved the hummus, lamb tagine, and lamb couscous. The interior is bright, with casual seating. The service was ok, considering there was one server only for the restaurant and it seemed understaffed.

Yelp
One of the best tajine I've had in NYC so far. Reasonably priced and friendly quick service. Th duck in pastry was my fav!

Yelp
Delicious Moroccan food on vibrant Steinway St in Astoria. This restaurant was featured in a NYTimes article in April 2022 and I could see why they record high praise. They offer a good selection of meats, vegetables and sides - so there's something for everyone. Service was warm, inviting and friendly. The restaurant was fairly empty when I visited and there were two servers. They probably need to do a better job checking in on diners during and at the end of each course but overall they were very nice. Ambiance was pretty nice too. Not the most upscale but certainly pleasant and inviting. Tried the salmon, lamb and baklava. Everything was super flavorful and delicious. Def recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
Notes: Seafood bastilla which is listed as having shrimp and fish happened to have squid. This should be fixed on the menu. Tagine and couscous are the best dishes. Went here with one of my normal groups a while back. We shared a bunch of dishes and found the food overall pretty good but lacking a bit in terms of spices (but then again I prefer many of the other surrounding countries cuisines over Morocco so take this with a grain of salt.) The service was friendly but slow as others have noted. The first dish that came out was the Moroccan Carrot Salad which was $12. Tender carrots though I found outside of the slight spicy pickling to be a bit bland. The other appetizer was the Lamb Borek ($15) consisting of a filo pastry with minced spiced lamb. This was better with some good onion flavor. The Tagine was the star. We got the version with prunes, toasted almonds, and sesame seeds for $22. Very tender lamb shank and the sauce wasn't overly sweet compared to similar spots. It was cooked down properly and it was easily in my favorite dish. The Royal Couscous for $26 with free range chicken, merguez sausage, and spring lamb along with vidalia onions, chickpeas, and currants was also very tasty and probably the most worth it of any of the dishes here. The chicken could have been a bit more tender but the lamb as well as the merguez was tasty (though said sausage was definitely a bit better flavored at Mogador.) Still good. The Seafood Bastilla for $22 was something that I was looking forward to heavily but as soon as I took a piece and cut off a piece, I noticed a large piece of squid which I have a pretty severe allergy to. The dishes listed as having fish and shrimp and I didn't exactly like that surprise as I couldn't eat it to course. It otherwise had a little bit different texture than most other spots as there was some vermicelli in the middle as well. The other people said it was fine. The Lamb Chops Platter was tasty with pretty tender pieces of lamb though a bit pricey at $28. The Lamb Kebab Platter ($19) with rice and salad (as per their other platters) was pretty disappointing. Unlike the other lamb dishes, it was a bit tough though it was pretty well flavored. The food here is alright. I found it overall a bit hit-and-miss. Some of the lamb dishes were very good while another was not that tender. One of the bigger dishes was definitely worth it for the price while the other was not. I put it a little bit below Mogador mostly because the consistency but if the consistency was more like the other spot, I would definitely rate it higher than Mogador as both the couscous and tagine are a lot better.

Yelp
Great spot for delicious and authentic Moroccan food in Astoria. I came here with a group of six friends and we had an amazing time with great service and ample food. We shared everything family style and even had a bunch leftover to take home as well. For appetizers we got the chicken bastila and mixed mezze with pita. Those were followed by the lamb and vegetable tagine, chicken couscou, and mixed kebab platter. Everything was hot, fresh and flavorful. The tagine came out beautifully and was totally video/picture worthy. I highly recommend this place and cannot wait to return for more!

Yelp
In pre-pandemic times, I spent a glorious two weeks in Morocco. It was a bucket list trip that exceeded all expectations, and encapsulates some of my favorite travel memories. One particular memory? All the gloriously savory, hearty, delicious tagines I could eat. We originally intended to go to Mombar, but it were closed for a family emergency, so we stopped by Dar Yemma instead. Thank habibi we did. Our whole meal was perfect. - Seafood Bastila: Moroccan puff pastry stuffed with fish and shrimp flavored with charmoula spices. The use of flat cilantro--similar to what's used in many Southeast Asian dishes--gave the seafood filling a tom yum soup feel. Which was not a bad thing at all. And the pastry was so light and flaky, it'd put any French pastry chef to shame. - Lamb Tajine: We got the full savory shebang sans prunes. And it was just as hearty and delicious as I wanted it to be. - Merguez Couscous: Served "7 Vegetable" style with the veggies chopped lengthwise and piled next to each other in an upward slope with the meat center in the middle. I happily ate this every day in Morocco--from Chefchaouen to Marrakesh--and never tired of this fluffy, savory dish that tastes like home. My companions who had never had this before were basically seeing God in front of me. - Dar Yemma Mixt Platter: While the previous portions were generous, we were craving one last big course to finish our night. Enter this platter containing lamb chops, chicken skewer, kofta skewer, and beef skewer, served with generous portions of grilled vegetables, vegetable rice and salad. While some of the meat was overdone, you can't argue much about a $45 platter that easily fed 4 people. A couple of us also got the Moroccan tea (how could you not?), which came out piping hot, unsweetened, not-too-bitter, and served in the most beautiful tea set. The restaurant is BYOB, and when we asked for glasses for our wine, we were given equally beautiful works of art from which to imbibe. Throw in the fantastic service, quick attention, casual/comfortable vibe where you can wile the night away without ever being rushed--and you've got an easy five-star experience.

Yelp
Been trynna go here since the summer but finally went last night. I loved almost everything I tried. I got kofta (beef) Tajine which was so good! The meatballs were so juicy & tender & the tomato based sauce was amazing! The merguez was so good but too spicy for me. The mixed grill was so good too. It came with lamb chop, beef, lamb & chicken. I don't like lamb due to the smell & their's had a faint lamb smell which still bothered me. The chicken, the beef, and the salad was great. The grilled veggies: zucchini & carrot on the side of the mixed grill are sweet & just delicious. I didn't like the rice much, bland imo. My brother & SIL didn't like the lamb Tajine. They said it was too bland. I didn't try it so can't speak for it. They gave two baskets of bread as well. The fries are really good, tastes just like McDonald's fries, except w/o the OD salt.

Yelp
The establishment actually had about 2-3 parties dining in on a week day. I'd say that since there aren't really many patrons, the servers are distracted and hanging with each other. So it might take some active flagging to get service and food was served relatively slow. The venue does not serve alcohol. I ordered the lamb couscous which came with a moderate amount of lamb portions on top of a couscous bed with carrots and eggplant. I'd say that lamb was tender but the overall flavor of the dish was extremely bland. They provided a complementary kettle of tea at the end of our meal.

Yelp
I agree with the other Yelpers. The service is awesome! The food is pretty and so Instagrammable. I walked in around noon and was the only person there which means I get all the attention. Not complaining. Lol. I haven't tried this place before, and it was a great visit. The waiter is friendly, approachable, and gracious. I enjoyed my visit here. It was a welcoming atmosphere. I saw karaoke on the screen in case you like pop music and want to sing along...the Weeknd was playing, and I love him! I was going to sing, but I am not good at eating and singing at the same time. I was told they close at midnight...something to think about if I want to take a bunch of friends for a good meal and karaoke! So excited to return! I noticed that they have beautiful rich green painted walls and put a lot of detail in the interior decor. There are roses everywhere. I ordered the Moroccan tea which came with a beautiful silver tea pot and felt transported to another land. It was a heavenly lunch. I was surprised that I didn't even have struggle to find a table. FYI: There are many vegan and vegetarian options in case that is what's on your agenda. There are many kinds of tagines which seem like beef stew with delicious veggies. It was recommended to me by the waiter...particularly the Casablanca tagine, which I have to come back and try. I am not sure if they have alcohol, but they do have tea and coffee. Another upside is that I love how they have bathrooms.

Yelp
This is truly an authentic Moroccan spot in Astoria. I've never had Moroccan cuisine before, but this was an amazing introduction. I loved all of the flavors so much and I can't wait to come back for more ! My mom and I came here on a Friday afternoon. Wasn't too busy. The service was great and our waitress was friendly. Complimentary water, bread, and some sauces were given before ordering. For our appetizer, we ordered the Chicken Bastila. This was an interesting dish as it was mixed with both sweet and salty flavors, but they went very well together ! Definitely recommend trying this dish. For our main course, we tried the Lamb Tagine with prunes. The lamb was nice and tender and cooked perfectly. Everything was served hot and tasted very fresh. For our dessert, we ordered a baklava and a Moroccan mint tea to share. The baklava was sweet, could've been a little more moist, but it was still good. The tea was a refreshing drink. Overall the prices were fair and I would highly recommend coming here if you want a taste of Morocco. Much success to this business in the future :)

Yelp
Came in with a group and it was a very slow experience overall, which was alright since we were chatting and having a good time. Things started out great with the spicy carrot appetizer and zalouk eggplant appetizer. Both had really great flavor. After that, I'm not sure what happened. I ordered the vegetarian tagine and what came out was a dish of peas, a few carrots and a huge chunk of meat. I sent it back and waited another 15 minutes or so (expected for a tagine) for the correct dish to come out. It still wasn't what I expected; it was 90% peas and a few carrots. At that point I wasn't sure if I wasn't remembering the description of the dish or I got the wrong thing again, so I just decided to eat it. It was alright, but not the best. I later checked the menu and saw that the description of the vegetarian tagine says it had zucchini, chickpeas, calabaza, carrots and currants, which is definitely not what I had. My friends enjoyed their dishes quite a bit so maybe this is a place more for the meat crowd.

Yelp
So I went here on a weekend and wanted to get a couscous but they said they didn't have any for another hour :/ so I ended up getting a chicken tagine. It was good but portions were a bit lacking if I wanted to get it as a dinner. Hoping next time i'll get to try their couscous, heard it is tasty! The owner was very nice, seemed a bit all over the place but that always comes with new store openings. Id give this place another shot but wouldn't say it was something to rave about

Chao X.

Yelp
I was excited to come here because it was featured on NYT. But overall it was lacking in a few ways: 1. The service was quite slow. It took way too long to get our food. And while we were waiting, the waiter even forgot about our drinks orders. But he made up for it by offering sparkling water for us on the house 2. Food is lacking in flavors (spices). We got Lamb Tagine with veggies and Chicken couscous. While the meat was both cooked well, the taste of both dishes was overwhelming. There was just not enough flavor/spice that I usually find in Moroccan food. Frankly pretty bland.

Anna L.

Yelp
Dar Yemma is a halal Moroccan restaurant that has been featured in the NY Times, but I found it a bit disappointing. I had merguez (sausage) before at another Moroccan restaurant and loved it so we decided to get the merguez here. We ordered a merguez sandwich and a platter. The sandwich was good and comes with fries. But I had better. The platter didn't seem to be worth the price point for 5 sausages, plain rice, and a simple salad. The sausages are a bit dry and needed something like ketchup to make it more palettable. The sandwich was a better deal and tastier. I did not have any of the tagines, maybe those are better.

Karina L.

Yelp
Warning: it's a BYOB establishment! We didn't know this in advance, but there's a liquor and wine store nearby. I really wanted to give this place a full 5 stars, but service was so slow and inattentive! The restaurant wasn't overly busy when we went there. There were some down times but the servers were more interested in talking and joking around among themselves, than serving customers. It was annoying to us since we had to wait for a long time to be served and helped. The food was amazing! Seafood bastilla was my favorite! It's a pastry with clear vermicelli noodles and seafood in it with a hint of lemon! Kofta tagine and mixed platter for two also delivered. The baklava was fine, but the dessert cigar was my favorite. It's such a shame that service is bad. The food is trully outstanding!

Najwa G.

Yelp
Dar Yemma was unfortunately lacking in my mind. Moroccan food is supposed to be light but flavorful but Dar Yemma was solely light and lacked any real flavor. I got the lamb tagine and albeit the portion was more than adequate, it just felt like it was missing something. My girlfriend ordered the mix grill which was better than my dish but a decent amount of the meat was too chewy. All in all, I was disappointed in Dar Yemma and would stick to places like Cafe Mogador for Moroccan food in NYC instead.

Victoria R.

Yelp
This was my first time having Moroccan food and I really enjoyed it. The food was really good as well as the service. I would recommend and return here.

Linda M.

Yelp
Nothing tops a good couscous on a Friday if you're looking for Mediterranean Moroccan cuisine this is the place for you. The food is full of flavor. The service was amazing. I honestly have no complaints. Every time I eat here I feel like I'm back home. Especially with the decor love it

Athena L.

Yelp
Decided to check out this place after seeing the NYT write-up (love that for Astoria businesses!). First off, this place is DEFINITELY worth repeat visits. Atmosphere: low-key, but tidy, and busy throughout dinner hours. We got there at 7 pm or so on a Friday l, and there were more than enough seats (note: 2 2-person tables outside, mostly 4-seaters inside). It was full within the hour though! Service: very friendly, asked us how we were doing and made great recs, but it did feel like we had to flag them down a little more than I'm used to for water and the check. Food: We split the lamb tagine with prunes and the royal couscous. The couscous was BOMB and generous portion size! The tagine was a little bit drier than I expected. The meat fell off the bone and the presentation was excellent - but this had come super hyped by NYT so I suppose I wanted more. At any rate, enjoyed this and Moroccan mint tea (of course!). Good addition to the neighborhood and hope to see them succeed!

Yelp
As an Algerian, I am the first one to support Algerian businesses. However Dar Yemma has left a sour and terrible taste figuratively and literally. I visited this alleged Moroccan restaurant on November 28th, 2022. Despite being marketed as serving authentic Moroccan cuisine, the food fell short of my expectations. The vegetables were not fresh, but rather frozen, resulting in a lack of flavor and texture. The lamb meat was tough and not properly cooked, making it difficult to cut and chew. The prune tajine, a Moroccan staple, only had three prunes in it, and the veggie cigars tasted like heated frozen vegetables. Additionally, the seafood pastilla was obviously made from the previous day's leftovers, further adding to the disappointment. Not only was the food below par, but the customer service was also lacking. The same person who was working at the counter was also responsible for bringing out the food, indicating a lack of proper restaurant management. When I left the restaurant, the staff did not even notice my departure. To make matters worse, after a back-and-forth with Saber, the Algerian owner of the restaurant, he confirmed that the food was not prepared by the chef, as he was not there on that day. Despite his promise to refund my payment, I have yet to receive it even after six months. The lack of follow-through and poor communication only added to the already negative experience. I reached out to Saber via social media , via text message on his personal phone but I was totally ignored. I will gladly post all of the IG conversations and voice messages I had saved from our exchanges so people can see for themselves all the non sense I have been going through Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking authentic Moroccan cuisine or quality customer service. The lack of honesty and transparency regarding the preparation of the food is concerning and, coupled with the poor quality of food and service, makes this restaurant a disappointment. I suggest potential customers seek out other options for an enjoyable dining experience. It's unfortunate that as Algerians we are still having this " cheating each other" mentality. Its saddening. Hasbunallah wa ni'mal-Wakil

Yelp
Food: Insanely good. Hummus and flatbread went off. Ate so much bread my wallet got jealous. Vibes: Elite. Music playing was amazing and reminded me of my motherland aH. Service: speechless. I would let my first born daughter marry the waiter. Amazing service and chef was in his baggggg. Overall: 11/10

Melinda S.

Yelp
Underwhelming. I'll admit my basic-ness and say I was initially drawn here by a stellar NYT review. But I have to say it was kind of disappointing. Our table of 3 adults ordered 3 different tagines and they were all okay. I thought the tomato sauce in mine tasted really basic. I wouldn't say anything was bad - if someone else wanted to come here, I'd go along with them, but it's not a meal I would particularly look forward to.

Ayesha A.

Yelp
we tried chicken tajin with preserved olives. it was delicious. and bought a groupon coupon so it was really worth it

Yennie J.

Yelp
Such a delicious restaurant!! Got the mezze and a few salads to share. Everything was absolutely so delicious!! The lamb on the tajine was soooo tender and delicious. Really recommend this place!!

I P.

Yelp
The place is clean. The service was direct. They play Arabic music inside, which is kind of techno poppy if you enjoy that kind of thing. I ordered the lamb tajine and it came out on a simmering hot pot. We really like the presentation the flavors, as well as the time that it took for the food to be delivered to our table .....(tip) make sure to ask for spicy if you like spicy!

Mahbuba N.

Yelp
One of the worst restaurant experience in nyc . We went there for iftar and ordered 5 iftar platters . They gave us one roti and 5 soups . And then they gave us 2 lamb dishes . And we had to wait a long time to get those dishes . They don't know how to serve properly . Finally when we raised our concerns the owner was extremely rude and was making offensive comments . He said we don't have to pay but we insisted because he was acting as if he is doing some big favor by not letting us pay . We really didn't care about the money we just wanted our food to be served properly as we were fasting in Ramadan and we had to eat . He even said don't come back again and that we don't have enough restaurants experiences which was extremely rude . I wouldn't suggest this restaurant to anyone , literally 0 start

Geri S.

Yelp
The ambiance was great. Our party of 5 were only ones there at 6:30. Pleasant music in background and able to carry on conversation. Service was good maybe bc we were only ones there. Food was a disappointment. The Mezze platter was very small, underwhelming tastes, and not worth $27. The only dish that was outstanding was the lamb stew. Beef stew and couscous was disappointing.

Orlando C.

Yelp
We're back! That's the best comment I could think of. We have return for more of this gracious environment and amazing dishes.

Nana P.

Yelp
Excellent wait staff service. Very friendly and welcoming. Food was so delicious and fresh I want to come back and try other dish as well. Atmosphere was so amazing I felt like I'm in Morocco . Very clean and well decorated. I recommend everyone to come and try the food here. It was great experience. Thank you Zaki the wait staff who served us. So friendly and welcoming with smile. It's hard to find a restaurant like this anymore.

Sumantra S.

Yelp
I would say, Dar Yemma truly stands for its name. it really feels like eating in Mom's house. The sheer taste like home cooked food , the hospitality of the host and I'm sure the real secret ingredient is most likely the fact this must be cooked with love. We are no stranger to Moroccan food and I can very confidently say, this food is the most authentic Moroccan food I have had in NY. We ordered the Lamb Tagine and it was simply delicious. The flavor , the presentation ..everything ! I am glad we finally have a great Moroccan restaurant in the neighborhood where we will keep going back.

Amin Z.

Yelp
This is my forth iftar on this amazing restaurant, i am officially addicted to this place, best iftar spot in NY, the vibe is amazing, the food the owners, you will feel home here, an experience that you should not miss

Yelp
Kudos to a new, wonderful restaurant in Astoria, Dar Yemma. The food is delicious, the service is efficient, attentive and warm...couldn't be better! We had a marvelous dining experence! Enjoy our pictures for now, but come for the incredible tastes and aromas! https://www.daryemmany.com

Yelp
Wow, I am out of words to describe how delicious this place. The most authentic Moroccan restaurant I have been to. We had the Lamb tagine, zaalouk salad, and seafood bastilla. All were 11/10! Would highly recommend and come back!

Khalil B.

Yelp
Delicious food, amazing atmosphere, and professional staff. Thank you Dar Yemma !! We will be back soon

Yelp
Good food and service. The lamb was so delicious. Will definitely add to do again list.

Salim B.

Yelp
Service is always great, attentive welcoming and Very friendly , definitely reflecting the North African hospitality,Been here more than once & I enjoy coming back every time. The most memorable dish for me was the kefta , tadjine and sardines . And that's coming from someone that's not easy to feed lol Won't say anything about dessert except thank me later

Saad B.

Yelp
Came here with my family today for lunch. Delicious and Authentic, felt like I was eating a meal at home. Started with the Mixed Salad and Briwat and shared the Lamb Tagine and Fish Tagine. Looking forward to coming back. Especially during Ramadan when they have the Moroccan Breakfast!

Destiny O.

Yelp
THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING!!! food was delicious, fresh and hot, not to mention best of all it was AFFORDABLE. I didn't know much about Moroccan food and instead of making me feel bad about it, the guy was super nice and encouraging. He helped me pick out something he thought i would like. In the end i went with their popular chicken tagine and it was exquisite. Definitely would come back again it was a good portion size, i originally ordered this for myself but it was enough to share so my mom and I split it. So 2 got to eat for the price of 1.

Mirsada L.

Yelp
The food was good but mice was running around the restaurant while we were eating my son was so scared couldn't not eat the food I left my food in half cause of mice disgusting I will never go again not even one star cause of mice

David P.

Yelp
Excellent Tangine. Reminds me of being in Morocco. Friendly service. I will be back!!

Yacine K.

Yelp
The food is so yummy, clean, and you have multiple choice. The service is fast. They are very Kind and patient. I highly recommend Dar Yemma restaurant. You really feel home

Amina Djihene O.

Yelp
The best Moroccan food ever from the Harria until the Tajine everything was amazing and delicious. It was taste like my mom food or better to be honest. Thank you for the hospitality and I with u a good success.

Jay S.

Yelp
The food was bland and had no taste. I would not recommend anyone waste their time at this restaurant because it is expensive and not worth the money

Katie A.

Yelp
We ordered delivery, and I'm assuming from the other reviews, our food wasn't as hot or flavorful as what you get at the restaurant. Everything was just ok. Nothing was amazing. The chicken tagline was chewy and tasteless. The lamb shank was small and greasy. The cous cous was dry and boring. I feel like we got food from a different restaurant than everyone else. Hopefully one day we will check it out in person and be surprised.

Yelp
Had the lamb plate and was mightily impressed. Lot's of perfectly grilled (very lamby) lamb, grilled onion, with a fresh salad, excellent smoky babaganoosh, and hummus. Only quibble is that there could have been a bit more rice. Flavors stood out as distinctive and authentic. Very high ceilinged room with only 2 single unit AC's so was a bit warm, though the ceiling fans helped. Very pleasant staff.

Yelp
Unfortunately, the food was extremely disappointing. I am a Moroccan myself and was shocked by the lack of seasoning (even salt was absent) in the food. Wouldn't come back again. Hope that they bring a better chef to make the food more authentic and flavorful

Yelp
The food was pretty good and the service was okay. I enjoyed the appetizer--we got the lamb borek which was really good but I think the pastry was a little too delicate and the meat kept falling out. We we really liked the kofta tagine as well. Wish I could give 3.5 stars but overall satisfactory experience but not necessarily something I would go out of my way for again.
