I went here during lunch and placed a large order. The cashier was so patient even though I didn't know what I wanted. All the orders were double/triple checked prior to giving them to me and the fried rice was soooooo good. I will definitely be going back. My co worker didn't like her lo mein;/ the chicken wasn't bad . The lamb burger was homemade and it tasted good. It got a little messy once the burger was cut in half but it got the job done. For affordable eats, I recommend .

The chicken wings with mango habanero sauce was good. Lo mein was a lil oily for me but the taste was good. Lamb chops are high recommended. Prices are reasonable.

Im a Chicken over Rice lover and this place has a very impressive quantity and quality for their chicken over rice. Worth the money I get my Chicken over rice with all sauces and pita bread yum yum 🤤 The service was very friendly . The Atmosphere was pretty clean too!

Food is good and tasty, but wait time is long for order. I had to order 30 mins. They have so many big online order and that cause delay in store order. Hard to find parking and it's so crowded around here with cars. Need more people in the kitchen.

Usually when we have parties we order a tray of fry chicken from darbar's usually a 25 piece and their food never disappoints from the fried chicken to the fried rice to sandwiches everything is amazing from here

No idea what’s going on. Ordered a few boxes of food for my sons upstairs and downstairs and it tasted Smokey and burnt. I ordered about 6 box five and two box chicken. The chicken were ok but so tiny. I took a pic of one in the box to show. I called and told the girl and she didn’t even care.

Their food is not fresh fries are soo bad and zesty chicken sandwich is not cooked well so bad experience and their delivery is not recommended they will make your food cold

Although I gave this place five stars, it's because after trying their food on two occasions, it was enough to make me want to return. I had their fried rice and friedchicken, which was fresh when it arrived at a function which had about 100 people, and it was flavorful and not too salty. I had the leftovers as well, but it was later in the day, when it was heated up it still had the same yumminess as a few hours before that. Now, maybe it wouldn't have kept the day after, but I do plan on returning and trying whatever else is on their menu.

Best fry chicken in NYC the food is also very delicious but the service is exceptional I'm telling you the best service you can get at a take out restaurant

Shame on me for never giving this a shot. I used to always see it whenever I was on the bus on my way to college classes and back home or simply walking by. I've seen this place go through renovation after renovation throughout the years but never stepped inside. Today, I decided to do so to further check out more eateries in my community and support local businesses. Plus, they serve fried chicken, another local spot that isn't a chain serving up fried chicken that isn't just Popeyes. I ordered Chicken Tenders, two pieces of chicken (a leg & thigh), and the Shrimp Tackle Box to get an idea of their fried selection. The lady that took my order told me it was going to be a twenty minute wait, which I was fine with seeing that the tenders and shrimp are made to order. It take more than twenty minutes, a bit of a long wait but I don't mind waiting a while for good well prepared food. But part of me did have some doubts seeing as it was my first time visiting this place. Once I got my meal and arrived home I immediately dug in. Their Chicken Tenders were fresh, seasoned, and plump. Each bite had me going in for another immediately after. A little greasy though but it was delicious. Their fried chicken had a different seasoning though, but a GOOD seasoning. It's halal so don't expect big pieces of chicken, but I can assure it's delicious! Next up was their Shrimp Tackle Box. Sadly, the shrimp left a lot to be desired. Tasted like any regular fried baby shrimp which is decent. I was expecting more shrimp though for the price but with how much food I got I can't find myself complaining too much. The french fries were standard, a little soggy--how I like them, yeah I know, arrest me if you want. They were shoe string fries so nothing much to say, pretty basic. Overall, good food and delicious halal fried chicken.~

Hot chicken is the best, not so good once it cools down but piping hot is the best way to eat this chicken. The batter is amazing and the chicken is juicy. Ordered several times while in Queens and always a must when I come back to the hood.

Darbars was very mediocre and I would not return. We ordered it for lunch at work and I don't think anyone enjoyed it. The rice and fried chicken were dry and tasteless. The only reason I gave this place two stars VS. one star is because the beef patty was average but that wouldn't be enough for my co-workers or I to go back.

Darbars was an unexpected surprise! Mm I was scrolling on ubereats looking for something new to try and stumbled on their menu. The fried chicken and fried rice had great reviews on Yelp. So I placed an order for chicken wings and fried rice. I requested extra hot sauce on the side. The chicken wings were fried crisp. The price was also reasonable at less than $2 per wing. They were a little salty for my liking. The fried rice had a lot of shrimp, it had a kick of spice to it. With a little duck sauce and a little of their homemade hot sauce, it was delish. The small serving size could have easily fed 2-3 people. I would definitely try them again for another order. In my bag they included a $5 coupon for another order. Can't go wrong!

Okay I used to love here, now the changes you made are trash. You had the best chicken sandwich in the community well dressed . I bought it recently , it was a bun , rubbery chicken, pickles nothing else, pure disgusting and trash. And why your chicken is no longer cooked all the way through? I don't want raw chicken , to many times I've trashed it. Please follow guidelines , we have strict codes here I don't want raw chicken.

I decided to visit Darbar's because my Auntie catered some vegetable fried rice from here for my cousin's wedding and everyone loved it. My son absolutely loved it so I came to patronize the business. You do have to wait a bit for your order especially if it's customized. It says on their wall, tasty but not fast which is perfectly fine with me. I'd rather good food that takes a bit of time than rushed food that tastes like crap. Thanks to Yelp, I was able to get an extra piece of fried chicken with my order. My experience with Darbar's was wonderful. The food is delicious and the portion size is great.

This is a cool spot. If you order from UberEats they have a "buy 1, get 1 free" deal. I got the lo mein with 3 HUMONGOUS pieces of fried chicken for $9. I'm stuffed. The food was delicious. They added tons of extra little hot sauce (which I'm so fond of). I also got chocolate cake and now I can't finish it. Really solid spot with huge portions, reasonable prices and prompt delivery. My new regular spot.

Really love their food! Very affordable and they aren't cheap with the portions. Everything I have tried so far has been excellent.

Today I tried Darbars fried chicken for the first time and I was quite disappointed. I ordered chicken breast and it was over cooked to the point that the meat was hard and DRY. It was NOT juicy or tender. I could not digest the meat and I keep chewing it and it was like eating fibers off a celery stalk. There was no flavor and it tasted like salted chicken. No wow factor here! I feel this was not worth the money spent. Also, the french fries were soggy and oily and for $3.50 I got a child size bag!!! They buy these shoe string fries by the bulk and charge the customer an outrageous price for crappy quality fries!!!!! No thanks! Also, If their chicken Is like this then I can only imagine how the rest of the items are. Probably not as good either.. Unfortunately I will not try because this was quite a disappointment!!

I went to this spot after I had seen a video on IG story by HalalTrip and tried various dish between me and my family. We all enjoyed, its different however what was hit for me was the patties. Yum, make sure you take some to go because you would be wishing like me that I should have taken some to go lol. By the way I had mine without cheese, I think its better that way so you can taste the flavor more. Just my opinion.

No matter where I end up in life, I will always return to this place. BEST FRIED CHICKEN EVERRR. I've moved out the neighborhood to the city, and I order their food for my annual holiday party every single year. It's a hit EVERY SINGLE YEAR. My guests can never get enough, so I order double and send them home with lunch for the next day. I did have to take off a star because during the pandemic an employee was rude to my dad when he pointed out that he wasn't wearing a mask. HOWEVER I've had very helpful positive interactions with other staff members there and I don't think one person should bring a business down. I hope that they continue to focus on high quality food, and good service so that they continue to succeed.

The food is great - the crispy chicken sandwich is one of my favorite... it takes 20 minutes or so for them to make it (fresh). I do love the beef ribs as well.

the chicken was old overcooked, actually burnt. they are overpriced for non quality food. they used to be good now they are just like other restaurants. we pay too much in service fees and overpriced food to not at least get quality.

Absolutely love this place! Been coming here since they were a small place. Still love the house special noodles!!! Always a must when I am on this side of Queens.

Waited over 5 hours for my food and got the run around with the person behind the desk. Never even received it. Their excuse was, the driver will arrive in 20 minutes but its been over 5 hours. Will never order food from this garbage ass place. They would get a negative review if they could.

The driver bought me a Ginger Ale back + The fries were a little burnt and cold the chicken wings were nothing special to brag about But this Spicy Zesty Chicken Sandwich was Bomb I won't be ordering from here again but if I'm not to far I might get the Chicken Sandwich I doubt it it's not worth 7 dollars maybe if it was on a better bun... The food is amazing here. Love the fried rice and love the lomein. But damn do they portion their hot sauces! Every time I've ordered a family meal, I always leave a note to include extra hot sauces on the side. I am willing to pay extra even. They only gave 2 little hot sauce plastic containers so I'm upset because this has happened on multiple occasions. (I ordered a family meal, 1 large lomein & 1 mix vegetables with beef). Would suggest to Darbars that for any customer ordering big meals, please consider Including more hot sauces.

this used to be our favorite restaurant, being halal especially, but the service is unacceptable, I order my usual large fried rice with 6 pieces chicken on the side, instead I got 4 wings and what seems to be a pigeon leg. the food took 1.5 hours to be made and deliver, we got no sauces, utensil. when I called back to complain aka management sent a bag of chicken, sauces and left it hanging on my door handle like some kind of shit. Horrible service... I will never order again.. and so will my family/ friends.

Hadn't had a beef patty in years, very nostalgic going in, not the best but not the worst, just what we needed for a quick snack

I ordered a BBQ Chicken fried rice and buffalo wings meal. I ordered at 5:50PM and the food didn't arrive till 7:45PM The fried rice only had 2 pieces of chicken as seen below and the buffalo wings were cold just as the fried rice was and the fries were soggy. I'm highly disappointed with this establishment. They have to many ways of placing orders which makes it hard for them to keep track of everything. They need to rethink their marketing and ordering system.

The service is fantastic. Both the man and woman I dealt with were friendly. The food is cooked to order so yes it does take some time but they are accurate with their wait times. The portions they offer for the price are generous. The food is delicious! I will most definitely be back!

I ordered this past weekend using Uber Eats. I ordered vegetable fried rice, french fries, and beef ribs. The ribs were horrible. The meat was overcooked. I could not bite into the meat, and after I did, I couldn't chew it. The fries were soggy, and the fried rice was spicy. If something is spicy, it should indicate it. I'll never order from here again.

*Update:* I use to enjoy ordering food here. The House Special fried rice was actually special, and tasty. Well cooked shrimp, tender beef, juicy morsels of chicken, well seasoned, and tasty. Now, it's a downfall, and on multiple occasions. The shrimp is rubbery, the beef chewy, and the chicken dry. The rice isn't seasoned anymore, it's just bland. The fried chicken use to be amazing- now it's oily, and sometimes soggy. I've voiced my concerns a few times in person but it seems to have done nothing. Just recently I said.. let's give them another shot! I ordered the house special fried rice, samosas, fried chicken, and some beef patties. Sadly, everything was dreadful- even down right angering. The fried rice was as mentioned above. The samosas were horrendous! Soggy and oily!!! The fried chicken wasn't even warm and was oily. Now the angering part was the beef patties... when I got there I asked for two beef patties... I noticed the woman was picky in choosing which to get to put in the bag, but didn't pay it any mind. When I got home I was shocked, and angry! The patties were burnt... I don't know why you'd give someone burnt patties that you can see plain as day and especially since you noticed it prior to giving me... NOT GIVING THEM ANY MORE CHANCES.

Waste of time and money. My food was NOT fresh it was cold and not tasty. The wait time is ridiculous! If you are South Asian (Pakistani) go to Texas Burgers two stores away!

Darbar chicken over rice used to be a go to family favorite. Unfortunately over the past couple of months, the food portion and quality has gone downhill. The only reason I returned today was to give them the benefit of the doubt, thought they were just having an "off- day" the last time. Sadly, I was mistaken. There were literally five (5) tiny cubes / pieces of chicken over a bowl of rice. Will surely not make the same mistake again returning to this establishment.

I ordered the chicken and rice plate. It was cheap for a big filling meal. The food had a good taste but wasn't over the top flavorful/savory. I would totally go back esp if i was on a budget. Service as fast. The interior of the restaurant was clean and professional and had a franchise type of set up.

Got the broccoli and chicken and it was disgusting. The chicken was salty and had a weird aftertaste. Not worth the money respectfully

I was searching for Halal food on Yelp and found darbars chicken and ribs. It was an hour drive but I am glad that I made the trip. Food was amazing. we had Fried rice, Fried Chicken, Burger and beef petty. One of the best chinese fried rice I ever had. Thanks to Jafar Bhai for for treating my son with the awesome milkshake. We will be coming soon to try other items on the menu.

I have to admit, Darbars Chicken & Ribs was certainly great. Very good value for the money. I can not praise Lamb Chops enough, it just so unbelievably good. Not to mention, the service was great and the staff was super pleasant. Definitely will come back to this place always.

Takeout/delivery experience only. Order here every once in a while and man I really enjoy the food here. Taste wise, price wise and variety is top notch. Jerk chicken check, ribs check, gyros Chinese what ever this is the joint. But every single time I've ordered my order was incorrect. First time, asked for curly fries got regular. No worries tasted amazing so I inhaled it down. Second time grape soda, got ginger ale. Third time ordered a beef over rice platter which I would recommend cause it's filling, their salad is not cheap (looking at least) and tasted great, but provided 0 sauces which they usually do. Dry beef over rice isn't my thing. Definitely call after your order and specify what sauces you want. Have to drop the star for consistent errors. That is in no way to knock on their food so I'm rounding up to 4. Their double cheeseburger is good, their halal platters are great. The jerk chicken and ribs are good. They're all cheap so I can't remember the prices. Takeout usually takes 20ish minutes but that may be cause they make it on order.

We get this every Friday. Growing up I was sent to Islamic school right across the street. The school would order the chicken and French fries for the entire staff and their students. My grandfather is one of the instructors here and he always made sure I got legs or thighs and an orange soda. This is one of my favorite places to grab a quick halal and clean bite. It's also located near my nail salon. Love Darbars and everything they offered my family and I for over 20 years. I recommend the chicken fried rice with 2/3 pieces of chicken on top! Don't skimp out on the pepper sauce. It's homemade and it's spicy. Enjoy!!

While the food was good, the customer service is horrible. it was delivered cold 2 hours and 20 minutes after I placed the order. I spoke to the restaurant twice and both times their response was less than ideal.

I had jerk and bbq chicken from this place and It was so bad. Jerk chicken did not taste like jerk chicken at all. When I ordered Jerk chicken and bbq chicken; person handed me the food told me that both bbq and jerk chicken are same thing but just looks different. And I told the person as line as the food taste good I will be fine. But when I got home and tasted the food jerk chicken tasted so bad that I could not eat the food at all. Had such a bad experience that I would never go back to them again.

I really hate giving bad reviews. But I gotta be honest. This order was off seamless l and it took 30 min longer to arrive than the time window and 1 1/2 hrs to show up. When I called the guy said im far and I gotta give it more time. Thats fine, I totally understand but dont give a 45-55 min window. If its gonna be longer due to location you have to tell the customer BEFORE they order. So I ordered the beef ribs, fried chicken, spicy buffalo chicken wings and shrimp and fries box. Beef ribs : undercooked and partially bloody. These are also short ribs by the way. Not ribs you eat off the bone that im looking for in a bbq spot. Fried Chicken : not crispy at all, Dry and over fried. It tasted as if they fried it over to reheat multiple times. Shrimp and fries : 6 tiny fried shrimps that tasted good over soggy fries. But horrible portion. Spicy Buffalo chicken wings: different but Good. They were the best part of the meal. Also I got slight Indian flavors in all but the shrimp and fries. I love Indian food but not what im looking for in a chicken & ribs spot. I personally dont need to order from them again. Sorry, thats just my opinion.

I wouldn't want give a star to this establishment. The order was 20 mintes late. I called for an update and the lady that answered said it's on the way. Which was total bullcrap because the delivery guy ended up calling 5 minutes later calling to get my address and stated he was 5 minutes away. Yes the restaurant is literally 5 minutes away from my residence. My food arrived cold and missing a soda that was ordered. I told the driver about the missing item and he said to me oh the next you order you'll receive a credit. I asked him how would they know to give me a credit. And what if I decide not to order again. He told me to call the restaurant and talk to them there and simply walked off. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Customer Service is a Zero!

I have been ordering from Darbars for years. Lately, there food has gone down in quality. A few days ago I ordered 20 pieces of fried chicken. The food looked great on the outside but once we bit into the food it was pink. Even worse the piece that I got didn't even looked cooked at all. I think I won't be buying their food for a while.

During the pandemic of 2020, my boyfriend and I had gotten hungry. He usually orders from Darbar but it would be my first time getting a meal from here. We ordered the chicken sandwiches. I ordered a grilled one and he ordered crispy. When we finally received the order, we could not distinguish the difference between the two. Mind you my boyfriend only eats crispy chicken for some odd reason and if he ate my grilled by accident he would've thrown a hissy fit. Fortunately, I think he chose the right sandwich and he was satisfied. I also enjoyed mine. The sauce they put on the chicken sandwich was especially tasty.

Food was delivered 30 minutes faster than what was estimated. Got a chicken sandwich and burger. Food came with sodas.

one would have to be stupid to return here after their first encounter... dont do it to yourself, just dont go the first time plenty of places your money will be better spent like... lotto, better chance of winning than getting something tasty a bag of coke, so you dont have to eat this food a used prostitute, better tasting than what they call food just save yourself the money, the agony, the pity, the sadness, and/or the hangriness
