Where to Watch ‘Game of Thrones’ at Austin Bars - Eater Austin

"The Irish pub and restaurant screens both the previous week’s and new episodes of GoT. The GoT-themed menu includes charred Dothraki artichoke hearts, deep-fried turkey leg, pigeon pie, sausages, and Sansa Stark’s favorite lemon cake." - Nina Hernandez

Austin Restaurant Reviews: Tillie’s in Dripping Springs, Bar Peached - Eater Austin

"Chronicle critic Melanie Haupt reviewed Irish pub Darcy’s Donkey, and described it as “fine.” The restaurant’s appetizers started the meal on a sour note, with fries where “the bacon tasted defrosted and the fries wanted salt” and a quail dish she called “bland, but inoffensive.” The entrees were more successful, with “nigh perfect” fish and chips and a variety of savory pies: For brunch, Haupt had the Paddy’s Sammy which she called “a great big oaf of a sandwich” that was full of calories in a good way; and the chocolate stout cake French toast, which she found mildly disappointing. Overall, she understood the appeal and appreciated the welcoming atmosphere, but doubted she would keep it in her dining rotation." - Erin Russell

Austin Restaurant Reviews: Peruvian Yuyo and Irish Pub Darcy’s Donkey - Eater Austin

"On a cold day, Megan Kimble at Austin Monthly stopped by “cozy” Irish restaurant Darcy’s Donkey. Her first dish was a bowl of Irish chowder, which she called “comforting in that deep-in-your-bones way.” Next, she tried the corned beef and cabbage, which came with: Kimble also recommended the pies and the “glorious iterations” of potatoes." - Erin Russell

A solid Irish pub that almost transports you to Dublin. A good selection of Irish beers and local staples. The potatoes were delicious, we had the Truffle Garlic Parmesan and the Loaded. The pies were really really good, perfect crust and filling. Danny plays live music on Fridays and killed it while we were there. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming and fun.

Interesting Irish pub open in place of Austin Java. I was skeptical but am surprised and impressed. The ambiance is cozy and not tacky - a welcome relief. The Guinness and Steak pie was delicious (albeit small) and the draft pour of Guinness didn't disappoint. Looking forward to returning for the fish and chips and lamb shank.

Tasty food and Irish music. Unlike many American Irish pubs, there is more to this menu than burgers and fried fish and chips. They get quite creative with their pies. As a vegetarian, I loved their mushroom pie. The boxty potato pancakes make a filling snack. The Guinness cake was a bit on the dry side, but still tasty. A good selection of local and imported beers, both on tap and bottled. I don't drink hard liquors, but my friends seemed impressed with their whiskeys. And on Tuesday nights, there is a lovely Irish traditional music session. They will validate parking in the garage behind the pub.

Fantastic atmosphere! Great food! The staff are very friendly and fun and the owner is a super chill and very polite :) Plus they have been doing this game of thrones night every Sunday and may keep it going with Harry Potter next!

It took 20 minutes to get my beer, but... stopped by on a Tuesday to check the place out. Was busier than I expected for a week night, and it took a little while to get my first beer. However, once that beer came and my order was placed, things improved dramatically. The fish and chips was worth the wait and the staff was courteous. Feels like a great place in the making, I'll definitely come back!

Lovely Brunch! Celtic Texas band was wonderful! We came for brunch and it was great - Benedict or egg bake is wonderful! We then stayed to watch some soccer with passionate fans. Afterwards- Celtic Texas took the stage for some great Irish tunes including a fav “Whiskey in the Jar”. Recommend for great Sunday!

Nice Irish bar right where you would not expect one. Food is gorgeous and the taps are magnificent. Make sure you get validated if you park in the garage or you'll need a bank loan to pay for your parking
