My friends and I came to come back to Darfons after our experience last year! Everything was absolutely delicious with friendly staff and service. We had the crab cake and shrimp and grits for appetizers. I had lamb chops for dinner were some of the best I have ever had. They were cooked to perfection. They were so good I had to bring a few back to Florida as a Mother's Day gift. The keylime pie was the perfect ending with the cloud like whipped cream and delicious raspberry puree. So, as you can tell, the next time we are in Nashville, we'll be back!

Took my wife here for dinner and we were absolutely blown away by both the food and the service. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The salads were incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the salmon—hands down—was the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, seasoned to perfection, and presented beautifully. This place is truly one of Nashville’s hidden gems. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. We enjoyed it so much, we’re already planning to go back tonight. Without question, this has become our favorite restaurant in Nashville. Highly recommended!

We love coming to Darfons! We’ve gone here a few times for date nights or when we have friends come into town. The food is consistent and always really good! You can expect to spend $20-$40 for a meal. We almost always get one of the charcuterie style appetizers to share and think it’s worth it for the price. My go to for drinks is the espresso martini and I love the seafood pasta as a meal. They recently changed their entire design of the dining room so now it is very brightly lit and there are more seats than usual. It is a little bit louder and less intimate than we are used too, but it was still an enjoyable experience.

I had been waiting for an opportunity to dine here, and I was very happy with the amazing experience I had this evening! The food, atmosphere, and experience were top-notch. Every item i had was great! From the entree, drinks, and dessert, my dining was a 10 of 10, no notes!!! Their drinks were also great, and the bartender had no problem making adjustments to their extensive menu. I had a great time and will definitely be returning!

Went recently for an anniversary dinner. The experience overall was good. We did encounter a fish bone and the cut of steak we received could have been higher quality, particularly given the lofty price. Looked okay, but was a bit chewy and fatty throughout. Still, the service was good and the ambiance is very nice. Lastly, not a dealbreaker by any means, but it would’ve been neat if there was some sort of acknowledgment of our anniversary, as we mentioned it when we made our reservation. That was not factored into this review, just a potential recommendation for the restaurant. If I know a restaurant will make me feel celebrated on a special occasion, I am more likely to go there.

This is my first time visiting this restaurant and I thought it was a great experience. When ordering your steak you will need to know how you like it but not telling them what temperature you want it to be cooked to because the cooks use the tongs to squeeze the steaks and tell the wellness of it. The Voodoo Pasta could have been a little more saucier. The portion size was good for the price. I normally do not drink restaurant water but their water was amazing.

Great experience! I was referred by the airport shuttle driver. The restaurant was inviting, was clean, was friendly and was delicious. I visited during dinner. The hosts were friendly and destroyed me quickly. Chris, server, was was exceptional. He was knowledgeable of the menu. Chris offered suggestions, but did not over advise. I ordered a tomato bisque, a ginger Paloma, spinach ravioli with salmon, and bread pudding. The food was appetizing. I will visit again.

Great place to celebrate birthdays or just dining with family/friends. 11am brunch scramble eggs, potatoes. I had the seafood plate, spaghetti with sauce and a variety of shrimp, salmon, scallops. Dessert was brownie with ice cream. Marcus was our server. He was very attentive. Moderate pricing.

Food is great everytime I come in !! But the last few times I have been in the hostess has been VERY RUDE I didn't catch their names but one of them is really short with glasses and the other wears braids majority of the time I'm there, I am a regular at this restaurant but the service I receive today was unacceptable, these girls have to do better !!

I have been here a handful of times over the years. We try eating somewhere different each time we come to Nashville and we don't usually make it over to this part of town. Last night we found ourselves staying in the area. My other half and I brought his mom here for dinner. We were told a 30 minute wait but we were seated much faster, which was a nice surprise. I can't remember our server's name but he was very nice and explained the menu so well. My boyfriend's mom was very impressed with how he could remember all that. I opted for the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Those green beans were seriously the best I've ever had. My boyfriend got a steak, mashed potatoes, and the tomato soup. Steak was cooked perfectly. Mom got the ribs and fried potatoes. EVERYTHING was delicious! Zero complaints from any of us. I didn't think I was that hungry and my meal was a very generous portion...but I wound up eating every bite. Also I couldn't resist trying my boyfriend's steak. I can't remember which it was but it had some type of au jus gravy on it. Yum! And one bite of his soup turned into 3 or 4 bites. Overall it was a really great meal. It had probably been 6 or 7 years since we ate here last but after last night I know we will back more often.

Busy spot & so convenient since it's 5 minutes from the airport! I wanted a burger so a burger I got! It was good and tasty so hit the spot. Plenty of options in the menu so choose away! All delicious and don't forget order dessert! Coffee was also good! Restaurant is nice with plenty of space & nicely decorated!

Nashville, TN. I gave Darfons a five star just because I finally dined at a Nashville restaurant that was relaxed, welcoming, and serves delicious food. It was so good I came back on another night. The ambiance is casual and has the feel of a higher end chain restaurant, nothing fancy, intimate, or romantic. The lighting is soft and pleasant and the noise level was typical of patrons chatting. I enjoyed the inside section more than the so called "Garage". It was just too much like an overflow area. It could be fun for lunch when the windows are open and you want to have a few beers. The non alcoholic drinks are superb. Very nicely crafted. The salad was large, fresh, and so good. The mandarin slices with the walnuts were a nice touch. The salmon is a decent sized portion and well crusted. It was delicious. The salad with add on steak is an economical way to get a delicious filet, even if it comes sliced. The steak portion is excellent and cooked a perfect medium. Their version of pecan pie is one of the best I've had and I'm kind of picky about that. The ice cream tasted house made, very nice. I thought the lamb chops were superb, you get four in a delicious sauce. The chocolate torte is rich and is perfect with their ice cream. I will be back for sure.

Above average lunch venue. The atmosphere is calm, nice, professional and relaxing. Classy and casual. Appetizers, sandwiches, salads and other options are varied, well-made and beautifully presented. Service was very pleasant. I've dined here several times for business and took my wife for lunch today as she's never been.

Whew! Such a great experience! We came for lunch and were happy to be able to secure a table without much wait. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was amazing and the restaurant itself was clean and comfortable.

This restaurant is a local gem, offering delicious food with incredible views of airplanes taking off and landing. The customer service is excellent, and the interior is very clean. The menu is diverse, ensuring there's something for everyone.

One of my all time favorite places to eat in Nashville. A hidden gem outside of the hustle and bustle of Broadway. Ample parking and quick and amazing service. Food depends on what you choose to get, I've only struggled with their dessert choices. I've loved their brunch and dinner options. Even thought the inside looks high end and they claim to have a dress code. I've seen jeans to cocktail attire.

Was super hungry and this place was close at the time so I stopped. The ambiance was nice just slightly stuffy. The service was good , just not very welcoming. But they did their job and took care of us just don't expect a smile. Nuts fine we didn't come for a smile we came to fill our bellies. They had a blue cheese pasta that was absolutely amazing and would highly recommend it if it's available. The only other thing that I find odd is they automatically add a tip to your bill for the kitchen staff. Why can't the servers split their tips with their support staff. Just watch your bill . It is written in the menu so it's not like they don't tell you.

We sat at the bar cuz there was a wait for a table. We had great service and great food!!

This restaurant is consistent with providing good quality food. The service is good! It's very close to the airport! It's romantic! It's reasonably priced!!

We recently visited Darwin's this past Wednesday to celebrate a birthday, and the experience was quite memorable. We arrived early and were pleasantly surprised to find it was happy hour and not just at the bar. Our outstanding waiter quickly informed us about the happy hour deals and guided us through the menu. We kicked off the evening with two regular margaritas, a spritzer, and an old-fashioned--all of which were excellent. For appetizers, we opted for calamari, which set the tone for the delightful meal ahead. Our entrees included the BBQ-speared salmon (minus BBQ sauce), New Zealand lamb chops, voodoo pasta, and my choice, the crab Florentine stuffed trout. Every dish was delicious, showcasing a perfect balance of flavors and freshness. To top off the meal, we shared a slice of carrot cake, which was moist, flavorful, and more than enough to share. The service throughout the evening was attentive, with our waiter checking in on us regularly. While the food did take a little longer to arrive due to the busy atmosphere, especially for a Wednesday night, it was well worth the wait. The restaurant itself has a welcoming ambiance, with a nicely lit dining area and a separate bar for those just wanting to grab a drink. The bathrooms were clean and had a large mirror--perfect for a quick outfit selfie. Plus, the location is convenient with ample parking and close proximity to the airport, making it a great spot for a nice dinner if you're in the area. One minor disappointment was that despite informing our waiter of the birthday celebration, there was no special recognition, which left us a bit let down. However, this small oversight doesn't overshadow the overall fantastic experience. I would definitely go back to Darfons and recommend it for a nice evening out.

Wow! Very nice ambiance and professional service usually found in fancy d places. Although high end, the appeal is more down to earth. Our host was amazing and very attentive. I did not get his name but he has this awesome tattoo of Frankenstein and his wife. Oh wait, his name is Cruze.... Stop by and say hello to him. Remember, eat here or we both will starve....

A reminder - Darfons is still here and still serving up some delicious lunch and dinner options in a part of Donelson that is seeing some uptick in traffic, thanks to other restaurants opening up. Established in 1989 this family owned & operated locale offers one menu throughout the day, with a Saturday brunch from 11 AM - 2 PM. The food is solid, with a tilt toward some creative mashups like one daily special of roasted pork and ... gnocchi. The interior is open yet cozy, with a ton of room. They even leave room for walk-ins. Easy reservations online. It definitely presents a slightly "casual business lunch" vibe, which is fine. Servers are friendly, professional and efficient. They also serve a delicious veggie plate suitable for vegetarians, or vegans without the pesto. And many other vegetarian options that can be converted to vegan with a few tweaks.

Went on a Thursday at 6:45pm and it was busy, but we were able to get a table immediately without reservations. I ordered the lemon pepper salmon from the specials menu that night and it was sooooo good. The restaurant was very clean and the waitress we had was quick and nice.

Wonderful experience on Monday 12/16. Loved the Lamb chops, black and blue pasta, ahi tuna and carrot cake. Drove from Franklin/ Bellevue area. Totally worth the drive.

Well, I was in Nashville, my Buddy and I visited this eatery for a dinner and had a fabulous meal. The service was great and the pasta with shrimp, salmon and scallops was scrumptious. I had a very tasty medium rare ribeye encrusted with blue cheese and a cider fresh horseradish that was perfecto. Lastly, I had a butterscotch flan pudding for dessert. I was happily stuffed when we were done. If you are in the area, definitely stop by and have some dinner at this very fine restaurant. Good prime rib and steaks. Friendly service. Was able to get a seat I. The bar area quickly.

Came here for a work luncheon and was not disappointed! We were seated quickly and the service was great. No apps this time, but they had some good looking ones. I opted for the 14 oz crab florentine stuffed trout. It was a big portion and tasted absolutely delicious. The Dijon-Asiago brown butter sauce was to die for. I was too full to get any dessert this time, but would love to try one in the future. They have a lunch menu, also. The bathrooms were clean and there seemed to be ample parking (at lunchtime at least).

Hospital food. I gave two stars because the staff was pleasant. My steak looked boiled rather than grilled. Soupy and off putting. The cooks need more training with regards to beef preparation.

Whenever we fly in or out of BNA, we have to stop here. The food is always fresh and a cut above. We like the variety of items and the service has always been top notch. Check out this pecan pie. Oh. My. Gosh!!! To DIE for!

The food and service was great! We have eaten here a couple trips and each time it never disappoints! Close to the airport and many hotels off of I-40. Really convenient! Please do yourself a favor and check it out!

Staff was welcoming as I walked in. My waiter was attentive and gave amazing menu options. The food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend the lamb chops Then the check arrived and I was startled by how affordable my meal was.

My mom and I stopped in Nashville and on a roadtrip and decided on this restaurant after receiving a suggestion from our hotel concierge. And we are so glad we took her suggestion. The service, food and ambiance of the restaurant was amazing. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was fresh, quick, and tasted incredible. We would recommend this place to anyone who stops in the area!

I was in the Nashville area visiting with family, and we came to Darfons since it's a family favorite. The atmosphere was beautiful and modern, food was delicious, and service was outstanding!

My family visited Nashville in early November and we tried Darfons Restaurant based on other good reviews. It was delicious! Our server was attentive and friendly, and the food was well prepared and soooo tasty. From the tomato bisque to the salads, burger and steaks, everyone enjoyed their meals. The highlight was the boursin cheese board appetizer - it got rave reviews all around! The portions were also very generous on all entrees. Next time we visit Nashville we will definitely go to Darfons again.

The waiter is very attentive to your need and give very good suggestions for the food. The atmosphere was very warm. The food was definitely delicious, the steak is properly the best I have try in Nashville for sure.

Tonight, I just may have had the most delicious salad I've ever had in my life. I ordered the Summer Salad which the menu said was baby spinach, strawberries, crumbled blue cheese, mandarin oranges, walnuts, onions & white-balsamic vinaigrette. I asked for their orange vinaigrette instead. Knocked this out of the ballpark. We ate in the bar and Hans was our bartender/waiter. I originally ordered the chopped steak special but he told me it was more of a Salisbury steak style and he couldn't guarantee a medium rare temperature (thank you for that as I would have been disappointed in a gravy ladened chopped steak (I grew up in the Midwest after all. We eat our meat plain). Worried that this was a dish previously made (I don't know that it was) I opted instead for the Summer Salad with a salmon fillet addition. I then asked if the salmon could be done medium rare (I live on the southeast coast of Florida and the northeasterners that come down only eat their fish well done, blech...I'd rather not eat fish at all then). Hans said absolutely. My meal came and I was in heaven. I drizzled the orange vinaigrette all over the salad and a little over the salmon and I ate the whole thing. I should have taken the picture before I dug in, it would have looked more appetizing than the demolished salad in the picture. LOL I hadn't eaten all day so for an appetizer, I ordered the sweet baked potato. I know that sounds weird but I love sweet potatoes. They served the potato with their homemade cinnamon butter...OMG! I wish I could move this restaurant to Palm Beach, Florida. THIS is EXACTLY the kind of salad and fish I like to eat.

This place always delivers a great food experience. We are impressed with the superior service and the food is always tasty. We recently celebrated G's birthday with friends and it was a great time. (BTW, their cakes are terrific too.) Whether stakes or something else, our entire party remarked how good the food was. Comprehensive drink menu, there was something for everyone. So great food, awesome service, ambience and all-in-all a place worthy of a celebration with friends, one would expect to break the bank. I was surprised by how reasonably priced everything turned out to be. So this place earned a 5-star rating!

We were in town for a couple of concerts. We were staying close to the airport and this place was walking distance from the hotel. Absolutely amazing food and service. Great cocktails as well! I'll be In town next year and will be going back.

This place was literally across from my hotel room, and the reviews were really good, so we thought, ok, well bite. The parking lot was packed, so I thought for sure we were going to have to wait. Nope! We were seated immediately by the super friendly hostess who proceeded to tell us that this will be the best steak we have ever had. Ok, I'll be the judge of that. Our server was a really sweet older lady (I don't recall her name but had a German accent?). I ordered the classic old fashion to start. It was good but I have definitely had better. For my entree, I ordered the 8 oz filet with green bean. The filet was really thin, but they did cook it medium rare as I requested. It had a nice flavor to it. Was it the best I have ever had, well, no ... I have eaten at some of the best steakhouses in Houston and on travel around the country, but it was still good! The green beans seemed to be canned or something, I don't know, I can't really put my finger on it. All-in-all, this was an interesting dining experience with super friendly staff, efficient kitchen and good food considering the area seemed a bit sketchy. As I travel to the area a lot, I am sure I will be back.

I haven't been here in YEARS! Just noticed it's on a weekly "route" now so stopped in for lunch. Super quick service, food was great and reasonable price. This will be a more frequent stop from now on!

We arrived to Nashville and came to eat lunch at Darfons straight from the airport. The hosts were all so sweet and welcoming. We got seated at a special table and Lexxie was absolutely incredible. She was very accommodating with my 8 year old daughter answering her questions and fulfilling all her requests from WiFi password, to dessert options and even a salon recommendation. The staff is absolutely fantastic and I can't wait to go back! The food was soooo good and the mimosas were delicious! The lunch specials were all so good!

Incredible meal! Food was delicious, my steak was cooked perfectly. Our server was friendly, provided food recommendations and checked on us throughout the evening. There are several rooms within the restaurant which is great when you have a large party like we did, having a little bit of a secluded table was great.

Overall a great experience and the food was delicious. I highly recommend you to do a reservation in advance.

I am so happy I came here! Staying at the Holiday Inn Express Nashville Airport- this was an easy walk- although the shuttle driver will take you there!! Fantastic service, great atmosphere, especially if you are dining alone. Great bar to sit at and eat or a nice high top! A lot of single eaters. Cameo was my server: so attentive and polite- perfect martini, seafood pasta and a crème brûlée for dessert. Don't hesitate to come here!!!!

What a dark and shadowy restaurant here in Nashville! We were a half hour early for our reservation but they still gave us a table. Food was delicious. Especially enjoyed my seafood pasta. Cocktails and dessert were superb. Highly recommended. Staff are five stars for excellent service, friendly and helpful with the menu and drink selections.

First night in Nashville and this place was highly recommended by a couple of people we met. It's family owned so we are all about supporting family owned businesses! Came around 4:45pm and was seated promptly. The decor is modern and classy perfect place for dinner date, special occasion and the occasion of coming into town! We ordered a starters board with cheese, sausage, warm bread and dried fruits! So delicious!!! I ordered the lamb chops plate and another order was the seafood pasta and paired with red wine collection from none other than Napa. Food was excellent and so was the wine. Our waiter was so hospitable and welcomed us into town as well as gave us pointers on things to see and do in Nashville. Next time I'm back this will be the welcome dinner spot for us.

A Nashville local suggested Darfons for a date night and it was fantastic! I had a Caesar salad and a seafood linguine dish and the flavor was off the charts. My date had the Prime Rib and also raved about how good it was. The service was superb and the atmosphere was just right. I wore dress shorts and polo and didn't feel underdressed. It was an outstanding experience and I'm definitely going back there on my next trip to Nashville!

The service was amazing! We celebrated my daughter's 21st Birthday dinner here while visiting from Chicago. We had a party of ten, and our server was very personable, and treated us like family. The food we ordered was excellent. We will definitely be back when visiting Nashville.

Glad I decided to stop here. The Restaurant was very clean and the decorations were nice. Our server was amazing, she recommended the black bean dip which ok. Wish the dip was hot it couldn't even melt the cheese n it wad lacking a little season. Lets talk about the BBQ spiced seared salmon and New Zealand lamb chops though! The salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned. They had 2 different BBQ sauces that brought it to another level. The lamb chops were tender and very flavorful! I loved that it didn't have that gamey taste. It was paired nicely with some mash potato's and zucchini( which I I don't care for) but it was really good. Def coming back when I visit.
