"As much as we love coffee shops with plant walls and subway tiles the ideal hue of blue, some days we need a not-so-trendy neighborhood spot that gets all the basic things right. Darwin’s is just that place. There are solid sandwiches on house-made bread, a wide selection of pastries, good coffee and tea, fast wifi, and a decent amount of seating with an ample number of power outlets. Additionally, the walls are painted burnt orange, which certain therapists believe brings optimism and creativity to one’s life - that’s better than the blues." - Joel Ang
"Darwin’s is a really big coffee shop that’s usually filled with people doing work. Since it’s in Kendall Square, a lot of that work probably has to do with rocket ships or genetically engineered squirrels.
