Where to Warm Up With Boston’s Most Comforting Mugs of Hot Chocolate

"There are four Darwin’s locations around Cambridge and four opportunities to satisfy a hot chocolate craving — and support the employees’ unionization, one of several such efforts in the Massachusetts cafe scene. Almond and oat milk are available." - Dana Hatic, Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Best Boston Bars and Cafes to Work Remotely While Drinking - Eater Boston

"The Massachusetts Avenue location of this Cambridge standby has a solid menu of wine, beer, and cocktails. Darwin’s makes the best of its cordials license with drinks like the Elderflower G&T (the G standing for Genever). Friday tastings give patrons an opportunity to sample some of the offerings before choosing one and settling in to get some work done (or not)." - Katie Faust Stryjewski

Darwin’s - Review - Central Square - Boston - The Infatuation

"Darwin’s is a really big coffee shop that’s usually filled with people doing work. Since it’s in Kendall Square, a lot of that work probably has to do with rocket ships or genetically engineered squirrels. But even if you’re not there to work on your dissertation, you’ll enjoy their bagel sandwiches and beer and wine selection." - Dan Secatore

Large coffee shop with lots of seating. It was easy to work here for the morning. Great menu of breakfast sandwiches and lots of pastries too. The drinks were well made and refreshing.

Darwin’s is a fantastic coffee shop! It is really pleasant in there, the service is very friendly, and their coffee is really good. There is lots of sitting space, both on the ground floor and a bit upstairs also. Great atmosphere and sitting alone or with a small group. Can be hard to find a sit sometimes though.

Very reasonably priced sandwich place serving a large selection of breakfast (7-10.30am) and lunch (all day) sandwiches. Fabulous espresso coffee too, which is a gem in the USA.

Tea selection from MEM Tea Imports offers everything from the popular to the exotic, English Breakfast to White Peony. Black, white, green and herbal tea leaves of supreme quality are hand-measured and bagged, brewed fresh & hot to-order. Also several unique flavors of thirst-quenching iced-tea blends, like Jasmine Iced-Tea-Lemonade.

Nice and relaxed sandwich place to spend some time and study/work in the Cambridge University area. My roast beef sandwich (pictured) was good, although not special.

Bad sandwich, pic is from 1 bite in, dined in, onions were in 1 knotted bunch, and it was just a runny crumbled mess. Coffee was boiling when I got it, took about 15mins before it was drinkable. wifi is lackluster. $15 for less than mediocre stuff.

I love sitting in the loft area on the second floor here, drinking some good coffee and getting work done. Such a lovely, airy space with exposed wood rafters and skylights overhead.
